1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to stake your crypto currency on: July 04, 2023, 02:00:28 PM
Everyone is different. Maybe adda who tends to stake to get more profit. But if I personally choose not to do it. I chose to buy then keep and hold it until the right time to sell the coin.
Buying and holding these assets we buy is the best thing to do. Yes, there's profit in staking but do you guys think that it's worth the risk if the risk is it could be gone for real? I'm telling this because many do like to stake in exchanges and there's no guarantee they'll get back those assets they've put into stake if problems exist with their service. While for some wallets that have that service, you still think of the risk if you can take that.
1582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: July 04, 2023, 11:58:37 AM
Group stages are now done and we've got some tiebreakers for the Bali major Dota 2. There is no longer a SEA representative that's going to continue for the playoffs and that's gonna happen on July 5 starting with the upper bracket then the loser's bracket next.
While some of these teams are already qualified for the TI, it's still a different experience by being serious on this major because there's still the DPC points that other teams should chase and at the same time the prize.
That's expected for the SEA teams since they've been consistently bombing out early aside from Talon who can put up good results on a good day.
Sad for Execration that they're the team that's close to having a direct TI invitation with the current DPC points that they have. But they lack of it because of how they ended up I think with 1-2 participation they have for the past majors. Whilst the only SEA team that got a direct invite is Talon, these three times that have got out early on Bali major are gonna have to do it hard to the qualifiers. And the sad news, is that there is only one slot left for SEA qualifier.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the USD loose it's kingship? Who will it loose it to? on: July 04, 2023, 10:03:18 AM
I was reading on some of the reasons why the USD is king in the foreign exchange market and some of them are;
It is the most traded currency,
It is the foreign reserve currency of many countries etc...

My question is that with the way many powerful and influential countries are now dumping the USD, will it cause a significant reduced trading volume that will make the dollar no longer to be the most relevant currency in the foreign exchange market?
Yup, and that's what will actually happen if most of them have already dumped it and they're transitioning into using another currency that they think is better than USD at these times. This is also one of the worries of the US government for which they're making a lot of things relatively to their economic policies and as well as being too active with foreign allies and putting more money into it things that shouldn't be funded by them. I guess this is where it's really going because no one's gonna be on top forever.

1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 03, 2023, 10:26:10 AM
If only for normal matches it is more difficult to determine who will win and there is still a big possibility that a team that is initially at the bottom and not too popular can become a winner but for big tournaments like TI then it is clear that only big teams who are strong and already popular will win.
We can predict which team will win the Dota match by looking at the heroes and items used by each team because both have an important role in a team winning the match.
But keep in mind that you must always be careful when analyzing matches.
Honestly, it is very easy to predict. We can predict any team for all of those matches but you'll never know if your predictions are good enough to get you some win if you don't analyze the teams you'll be betting on.
If it's just guessing and predicting, it's very easy, but to be able to have a really accurate prediction, it will be very difficult.
When in a Dota 2 match at a TI tournament we don't need to do an analysis when in a match a team that is already strong and has a top rank.
After all, so far when I have bet by only looking at the heroes used by the team, they can produce wins, so even if I predict with analysis but don't understand as a whole, it will still be the same, which is difficult to win.
Yes, it is what I am saying. And by just looking at teams before casting a bet, is the casino you're using allowing that? Because before the game starts, that's the only time that you're allowed to bet but CMIIW. Anyway, analysis is still needed by looking at the past games of these teams especially if they're in crucial situations like being out of the bracket or it's the main event, that's when you need to get more serious and check out some of their past games and how all of it went.
1586  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: July 02, 2023, 11:33:54 PM
I think people wanted to have their own real estate property but the financial shortage keep them from owning such things.  If we own the property, we are free of any monthly expenditure except for the annual task which is way too cheap compared to the money spent for monthly renting.
Everybody wants to have their own real estate properties but it's true that because of financial constraints, that can happen easily to them. So those that own already are blessed to have it because they can now move on to their next strategy whatever the plan they've got or if they want to have as many properties as they have.

And if we want to move to another place, we can always sell the property and use it as a fund to buy a new property elsewhere.  So I always think that buying a real estate is way better than renting one since at the end of the day, when we decided to buy real estate, we end up with something that we can sell after wards while renting will only give us a house to stay.
This is only if the property that's about to get sold is in a good location. Sometimes it takes time for those properties to be sold if they're not in a good location so it's not that liquid for those owners if the property is located somewhere far and likely in rural areas.

Dota 2 is a tough game these days, you'll never know who'll win honestly. Even a champ can be beaten by an unknown team.
This kind of thing is definitely happening, many teams out there who have the same ability to be the same as proplayer or even they are stronger than the pro player who always follows the tournament and then the surface and surprise many teams that have long been working on Esport Dota.
And or the unknown team, it has already seen how the pattern of games that are often used by the famous team so that they have a gap to defeat even big teams, this returns to the macro and micro skills of players and gameplay analysis on their opponents.
For fans of this MOBA game with a shocking team's arrival like that certainly makes it exciting and interesting to watch, but for bettors for us it makes us confused to force beting or just watching, because the probability is 50:50. Grin
This is why if it's with balancing, I'd say that this is balance because there's no strongest and there's no weakest. All of them have the same chances of winning but the thing is that whoever is smarter and has more experience in toughest game situations, those teams have the edge.

If only for normal matches it is more difficult to determine who will win and there is still a big possibility that a team that is initially at the bottom and not too popular can become a winner but for big tournaments like TI then it is clear that only big teams who are strong and already popular will win.

Westbrook signing with the Clippers for 2 years and 8 million is nuts. He surely could’ve gotten double that and maybe triple somewhere else. I think he took his stint with the Lakers personally and now he just wants to help the Clippers be the top dog in Los Angeles. With this deal the Clippers should be able to go after another big free agent.
This is a huge decrease in his value. But I think he's living in LA so this is still a comfortable choice for him despite the decrease in potential contracts that he may get. But that's his decision and there could be something else within the clause of his contract aside from the monetary value.

Lillard said in a recent interview that he didn't want to leave Portland, but if he did Miami is where he would want to go.
I'm not sure if the potential trade that I've seen for him by Miami is for real. A lot of players including Robinson, Herro, and some other plays plus 2 first-pick rounds and a 2nd pick round just for him. Portland is on a win if that's for real.

I had no idea SEA is pro (I know they play a lot but I always assumed it's just a cultural thing with cybercafes and all that).
Yes, there are pro teams in SEA and they're known as well but compared to the other regions, they're now like the weakest region - sad but true.

Chinese teams giving points to each other is allowed? Haha.
That's not allowed but the organizers barely notice that but it's like a conspiracy.

Anyway thanks yeah, I might follow this thread a little just to get some idea of what's going on when I need to make predictions (but I guess as you say it's hard to decide which team goes through it always seems 50-50.

1590  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: July 01, 2023, 11:14:24 AM
I'm not from that country but I don't even get to enjoy the health care benefits that I am entitled to. Maybe I'm still young and healthy, thank God, but as much as I want to see where my taxes go is helping others then I'm good with that. I think if you avoid paying taxes, it's within your conscience if you feel guilty for being bad or not with that. Whether the government chases you or not, somehow you'll think of it when you sleep at night so it's up to yourself to judge yourself.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: July 01, 2023, 08:47:52 AM
Find a place where you can meditate and think of your life. So, a life's reflection gonna help someone to stop gambling because that's gonna make up your mind and will give you a relaxation feeling. And when you do this every day and you do yoga for at least a few hours daily, you might even forget that you're a gambler and would like to do this every time when you're feeling wanting to do something like gambling. So, they're all right about finding some other things that you can be busy with.
Yes, of course being busy will make us able to reduce gambling activities does not mean we can stop gambling, because if you are used to gambling, you will continue to go to gambling whenever they want, especially those who only gamble just looking for fun, any busyness will make us temporarily avoid it, does not mean we cannot find gambling. Everywhere, we can see gambling advertisements in advertisements when opening YouTube or others.

Meditation is also good what you mentioned about yoga is also good because with peace of mind maybe it can help the mindset become more positive so you can control yourself so you don't go to gambling every time, maybe by changing your mindset it will help reduce it but to stop you have to be with the intention from a heart that really wants to stop, for example going to a place where you won't find gambling there.  Wink
But it's a way and might be the reason for someone to completely quit gambling for real. It's going to be a process that you need to do on a daily basis so that you'll eventually forget it.
Perhaps, this is also good on your mental health as you get to relax yourself and you'll get some time to think of what you really want on this world whether it's gambling or there could be other things.
1592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Withdraw Crypto to Paypal with Boomchange, 100% Safe and Legit Crypto Exchange on: July 01, 2023, 07:01:41 AM
Come on guys, it's not obvious with that consecutive praise and vouch from newbie accounts. I don't know if there's currently a running bounty for this exchange but that's not a good incentive if you've got any of those. And I think that you need to go through again with your label.
Because these days, whoever is saying that they're legit and safe, it's the opposite thought that's coming to everyone. Well, I am not saying anything against your exchange because I want to see a lot of it compete so that we as users got a lot of choices.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: June 30, 2023, 11:30:17 PM
The truth remains that there's no perfect strategy for gambling but people with wider knowledge about a particular gambling site tends to have higher possibility of winning and that's why some people think gambling can be mastered by learning so much about it.
That's the truth in gambling, all can be done with strategy but not all of them are going to make you win at most times. You can win a lot for the rarest moments and bets of your life but you'll have to deal with the majority of the losses that you can make.

There's no specification about the best ways to play gambling and win so I don't think there's a perfect strategy for gambling
As long as a strategy that works for you where you think that it's going to give you more wins than losses, you stick to that and just repeat the process unless you notice that there's a drop of percentage rate of winning, you change again or you don't follow any strategy anymore.

1595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: June 30, 2023, 12:50:59 PM
Compared to reality and fiction, it is fair to say that the price push is all rooted in the belief in the opportunity to make a profit, just like the story of btc, at $5000, will many people expect it?
the fact that it's nearing $70000, I think future stories are all possible in our minds, and the $100000 mark will probably be crossed, and people who buy it are looking for profit opportunities, like nostalgia the current situation and the story believes in the price increase when the market has more positive signs.
Just like history, it will definitely repeat itself like $100k can be the bottom in the near future while people are talking about the next ATH which could be more than $500k.

To you second question that who will buy bitcoin when it will be at 100k? Just like today people are buying at 30k with mindset that price will go beyond that upto 50k. We dont know the definite price target of bitcoin, some say bitcoin will some day be of 1 Million USD or above. It started with zero dollars and has seen ATH of 67k$. We are not sure what lies ahead.
$1M is like a dream of many and way back a decade ago, thinking of bitcoin reaching $100 is like thinking of bitcoin to $1M at these moments. No matter what will be the price of bitcoin, there will always be the demand that will be made by institutions and retailers.
1596  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: June 29, 2023, 05:04:01 PM
Elon who was on the internet for having agreed to a fight with Mark Zuckerberg is one of the worlds billionaires with a networth that's more than Mark's Metaverse.
Although Mark did invest into Metaverse but likely failed from it, the name of his company is Meta.

He has followed a trend of acquiring some of the world's top assets in form of largest shares and ownership of the companies.

In 2021 he purchased huge BTC, in 2022 he acquired Twitter. This is 2023 and he is yet working on huge space exploration project to Mars among others like Neuralink, the boring company, Tesla.

My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?
Maybe not this year but likely next or next 2 years and that's not going to be a purchase but a big sell-off wherein he should take profit from the investments that he took. While everyone is guessing what will be his next big acquisition, I'm thinking that he's gonna silently take some profits again if the bull run comes.

What a game between GG and Quest, over 120 minutes, back and forth. Rapiers lying around the map and nobody even having slots to fit them in... Never watched something like this before. And it was my first game in Bali Major Smiley

Hopefully rest of them will deliver as well.
The game ended in 136 minutes. DRs were just free all over the map and all of them are level 30. I think this is again the first time that GG was able to have hardship and difficulty in playing on any team. I guess we're seeing that hope with Quest Esports. They're a dominant team, with new names and faces on Division 1 except ATF of course. All of the heroes were packed with Aghanim's blessing and shard and as well as moon shard. Such a long game but not boring at all because you'll never know what will happen next.

Anyone feels bad for the Alliance(Dota 2) that they're even out of Division 2 and they'll have to go with the qualifiers again for the said division? After nikobaby's retirement, this team becomes one of the weakest in its region and even taking two sea players but still didn't manage to get at least a slot in Division 1. One reason that I can say is that the region that they are in is certainly one of the hardest and most difficult regions in the entire world. Hoping they'll bounce back soon.
Their roster didn't seem promising, but it was surprising when they performed better than expected because they were always one series win short from getting promoted to Div 1. The competition got harder during Tour 3 as the new teams from the open qualifiers had a few familiar names and PuckChamp selling their slot to Old G. They only have to go through the closed qualifiers for the next DPC season, and they should qualify easily since they're most likely replacing someone from their roster.
Can't wait if there will be an announcement from them if they'll replace someone or if they wholly gonna clean this roster while s4 will remain as the team captain.

Speaking of the Bali major, too many games have passed and did you guys also follow some of the games? One noticeable game was GG and 9Pandas, GG really bullied 9Pandas. It's like Quinn telling ramzes on my mind, ramdog!!
1599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Microstrategy buys again! on: June 29, 2023, 08:29:19 AM
While it is an interesting move that we've been used to see them do, what if the time comes that they won't have to hold forever and just like us  they need to take profit from it?

Certainly it must involve several brokers with sufficient cash liquidity reserves. It's impossible to liquidate all at once, the more they stockpile, the more difficult it will be for them to determine profit scenarios.
That's a good point, it's unlikely that they can dump it all at once but there can be a point in time when they'll sell the majority of what they're holding and that's a very plausible thing to happen.

And I don't think they'll use the same way again to make public noise, say they have to sell 10% of the holding then at least the market will react and on the next sale (if it's near) the risk won't get the same return value.
I agree, was it Tesla when sold some BTC that they bought? IIRC, that was them or it was another company that has been publicized to buy a lot of Bitcoin but during the bull run, they didn't mentioned they've sold until the bear market came.

Well not that I care of, they had it coming miles away. They were having issue since last years but so far they havent really made any improvement at all. Im not sure who is the coach for Alliance but Loda was probably behind it, he is really not suitable to be coaching though. Alliance also had the chance to sign complete Old. G roster but they choose not to
It's likely that Loda is still the coach.

It's a cut throat competition in Europe, always has been especially when the road to TI is closing in. They would really have to grind it out in the open qualifiers against teams that are relatively unknown but are also strong. There are a lot of those teams in Europe too, especially pros and pubstars that weren't signed by a team prior to TI. A lot of grinding and a lot of practice would be needed by this current iteration of Alliance if they want to join TI for this year, that's for sure.
They need another change and whatever that will be depends on the management and s4 is still playing though. But I think that he is past his prime and that's one thing needs to be considered. He's still one of the original roster of Alliance but just as the other old teams as NaVi that's struggling, they really need to grind a lot and sign those pubstars and young talents that they may want to gamble.
