Anyone feels bad for the Alliance(Dota 2) that they're even out of Division 2

Well not that I care of, they had it coming miles away. They were having issue since last years but so far they havent really made any improvement at all. Im not sure who is the coach for Alliance but Loda was probably behind it, he is really not suitable to be coaching though. Alliance also had the chance to sign complete Old. G roster but they choose not to
It's likely that Loda is still the coach.

Anyone feels bad for the Alliance(Dota 2) that they're even out of Division 2 and they'll have to go with the qualifiers again for the said division? After nikobaby's retirement, this team becomes one of the weakest in its region and even taking two sea players but still didn't manage to get at least a slot in Division 1. One reason that I can say is that the region that they are in is certainly one of the hardest and most difficult regions in the entire world. Hoping they'll bounce back soon.

It's a cut throat competition in Europe, always has been especially when the road to TI is closing in. They would really have to grind it out in the open qualifiers against teams that are relatively unknown but are also strong. There are a lot of those teams in Europe too, especially pros and pubstars that weren't signed by a team prior to TI. A lot of grinding and a lot of practice would be needed by this current iteration of Alliance if they want to join TI for this year, that's for sure.
They need another change and whatever that will be depends on the management and s4 is still playing though. But I think that he is past his prime and that's one thing needs to be considered. He's still one of the original roster of Alliance but just as the other old teams as NaVi that's struggling, they really need to grind a lot and sign those pubstars and young talents that they may want to gamble.
1602  Economy / Speculation / Re: Microstrategy buys again! on: June 28, 2023, 10:29:38 PM
While it is an interesting move that we've been used to see them do, what if the time comes that they won't have to hold forever and just like us  they need to take profit from it?

Its scary if they started to take profit from this, well this is how rich companies do nowadays, and those who holds more can have a great power and influence in the future. This might be one of the reason why the price pumps, and hopefully it will start from here. If they will hold half of the Bitcoin supply, that can be more scary for sure let’s see what’s their real goal for this one.
True.
They have got more influence now to the market and this is like the actual whales move whenever they start to dump or someone following them monitors that they've been dumping it but not likely this time, may not be the right time but soon there will be a time for it.

1604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a merchant, what percentage do you afford to lose on fees? on: June 28, 2023, 08:33:34 PM
Aside from the markup that you get to earn as a merchant, on top of that should have the fees that shall be paid. No problem if you increase it a bit and explain it to them but yeah that's a problem for some customers because they might feel that it's no longer worth it when there's a slight increase in the fees. 10%-20% of fee from the profit is quite high but still if you'll see that 80% as a profit, I think that won't hurt you because it's more hurtful to lose a loyal customer, right?

No one knows what's the source of it so trying different solutions will help but I think that it's the first that I've seen do it here or there's already some who did it but it's in the past and I can't remember anymore. But it's no problem now at all as that guy solved it on his own. I just thought that there has something to do with the spelling because with little details that they share, there could be the mistake there and what's good is that we're knowing solutions that's being shared if ever others experience the same thing.
you should not make it an issue because you are both having a point in helping people about some issues accessing the site but it is given that account seems to be in country that restricted the site or at least he can use VPN.
and also he admitted that now there is an access using different browser.
Yep, no biggie at all. The issue has been solved and if anyone who's browsing in the future might just end up with the same problem, he can review it here and hopefully lands on the right page of this thread.

we are all here to help each other as we are all gamblers and wanted to at least win and enjoy and be happy.
Yeah, so for everyone who's enjoying and having a good time have good luck and take your time every game you play here in Duelbits.
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to borrow ETH to buy BTC? on: June 27, 2023, 10:01:25 AM
I do not understand the point of borrowing here.
There's really no point.

do you want to borrow ETH from someone to buy BTC ? if this is true, maybe you should borrow BTC directly because the ETH gas fee is very high. To be honest I do not recommend investing in this way because this investment is high risk, you should participate in bounties or airdrops and start investing from the money you get.
This is a vague strategy for someone who's about to invest in Bitcoin. Buy Bitcoin with your own money and don't take a loan why it has to go through ETH? I think that OP and some other folks have been misled about Bitcoin going on different chains as well as with the wrapped versions. Better not to borrow money or eth for investing into bitcoin and even it's btc, don't borrow to invest in a volatile market.
1607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top Five Reasons Sports Bettors Are Attracted to eSports on: June 27, 2023, 08:11:49 AM
It's true that there's big money in esports but it's not that the sports bettors are attracted to it but because most of us that do bet in esports are also gamers. That's a big thing just like any other known sports that we're betting, people in sports betting like the sports they bet and the same goes for the esports bettor. We do like the games and it's getting bigger every year that's passing by and more news are coming because it's now recognized as a big industry and careers, jobs and opportunities are also found there.
1608  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: June 27, 2023, 06:26:04 AM
because it takes large funds to be able to invest in bitcoin.
If you're going to buy 1 whole bitcoin then yes. But don't forget that you can buy in bits and little amounts depending on how much the minimum amount is being asked by the exchange where you're buying.

there's nothing wrong if you want to take on debt with the aim of buying bitcoin
That's not advisable and many will agree that it's a bad idea to take a debt for buying bitcoin even if you can afford to pay. Much better to just save that money and buy later on.
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 26, 2023, 12:15:17 PM
So it was really confirmed by Dana White that both Elon and Mark are really serious about this, and he said that it is bigger than the Mayweather and McGregor fight, so it is still about money, and at the same time it is like another showdown between giants of tech companies, which means it is not the same as other fights as most of them are celebrities or come from another sport. Let's see if this goes through. Let's just hope.
Yeah, this is finally gonna happen. This is exciting to watch, these billionaires that are being put in a ring and they'll have their own derby and clash. Whatever they're up to, they're just making themselves funny in the eyes of the world but I don't think that they would care at all about what people think of them. Because in the end, this is just them enjoying the attention of everyone that's being set on them. It doesn't matter to me whatever their fighting skills and background are and whoever will win.
1610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's Bitcoin trust worthy on: June 26, 2023, 09:37:44 AM
OP, when you invest in Bitcoin, you don't invest on any platform but instead, you just use these exchanges to buy Bitcoin and then later on you'll be the one to hold it.
Investing in platforms doesn't sound good if you're into Bitcoin because it's likely that you're depositing it on these Ponzi schemes and you're not safe with those.
They'll promise you to earn hourly or daily and then will show you percentages of returns but all of those are just projections and fooling you until they're going to go away with your deposited Bitcoin.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: June 25, 2023, 11:54:30 PM
when the devs are so money oriented, you know they don't care about the project at all but only money is of their interests.
Yeah, this is a red flag when they talk about money, money and none other than money and returns.

i've seen many projects that ended up become scam have the same stingy devs that are just there trying to get all the money.
Greed is on those developers and that can't be helped and stopped unless all of them have become exposed to their nature. That is why as an investor and if you're wth these projects that still gives you interest, you need to safeguard yourself and have a standard the least.
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 25, 2023, 10:45:31 PM
Yeah, this is a business that the management will determine it these incidents are likely to happen. They've got a lot of money ready to be deployed if ever they ran out of it and someone wins big at unexpected time. They've got ways of controlling winning players like discouraging them and limiting their wagers.
So the casino does have the power to control players, so they can't always win big. Perhaps, only a few players can get big wins, but others will suffer big losses. A casino that owns its business will not allow all of its members to win big. And if a player who wins big doesn't stop playing, then that big win might turn into a big loss, so that will eliminate the money they won before.
They can adjust everything as they're the owner of the casino business, so owners can do that and they've got unlimited power to adjust everything favoring them. But if no one is winning such huge wins, that will be noticed by most players. Not a problem for them to allow someone to win big or just a few of them but look at the games that we're talking about. Because if they've got no control over it, I mean if it's about the luck-based games, people will win no matter what chances they've got.

Even so, casinos still have the opportunity to go bankrupt because of their players' winnings.
I don't think with established ones.
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 25, 2023, 09:40:51 PM
Mate, it's totally boring and one-sided, while watching it I knew it when it was likely about to end. Team Secret has done it perfectly because they've got the Medusa and the game needs to be long but Nigma doesn't like to push that much because they're also going on with the long game. That very last push Nigma did on the bottom tower of Team Secret, after attacking and throwing some skills, they're quick to TP but then Puppey's enigma was there and all of them(3) got blackholed.

I didn’t finish the game because it’s so damn slow and full of farming. But as I predicted, Nigma Sven failed to reach Medusa and it punish them big time when Dusa already have lock item since his split shot is very painful specially for the backlines that already in range due dragon lance enhance range. I watch the replay and Nigma doesn’t even close on taking down Medusa since he is always being controlled by Blackhole when he is trying to close the gap.

Pretty one sided but still props to Nigma for making this game very long. They have a chance if Sven can wieout the backlines which didn’t happened.
I thought that they can have some chance against it but no way. And for this MENA qualifier, the winner as Quest Esports. And for the champ of the Dream League Season 20 is none other the Gaimin Gladiators. Dude, this team is unbeatable every stage tournaments.
Honestly, I want them not to win this DL20 because they've been dominating all of these teams, somebody stop them. Now next, the Bali major which will happen on Thursday. GG is also participating there.
1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 24, 2023, 07:01:04 AM
This scenario is very hard to happen and very hard to imagine that it would actually happen,
For the big casinos, this is unlikely. But in the new and middle term of their operation, this is possible.

I mean it's not totally impossible in a certain way but given the fact that the casino got a vast amount of money on their stash also mean that it's kind of almost impossible to do because that player/gambler will have to accumulate all the existing and remaining luck in the world in-order to get a very massive win and make a casino file for a bankruptcy.

But I'm not sure if their Sven pick can reach Medusa on team fight. I like Secret draft.
It's a team play and I know that it's possible but we'll see and I also like Secret's draft too.

Agreed on this part, But Sven being kite on most of their team fights by Medusa. The game is very slow and both teams are farming hard. I don’t like Medusa gaining items for Nigma because this will make their support more squishy with just a proper blackhole. They just need to target Lion then Enigma is free to place his blackhole to Sven and the others.

It’s very boring to watch the fight now. I hope they will just clash. I’m dying to curiousity on how will Nigma kill Medusa with their line-up.

Game 3 is on the way, Nigma finally have a decent draft.
Kuro is playing Undying so he's back to pos 5. I don't like what Kuro is doing, it seems that he's into something but doesn't want stability for his team. As of watching game 3 now, the match is so close and it's at the 19-minute mark.

But I'm not sure if their Sven pick can reach Medusa on team fight. I like Secret draft.

1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: June 23, 2023, 07:14:56 PM
I do hope that OP and the others will do their research with due diligence and will find it out that there's nothing for this coin to its interested people. How many years has it been in its own community and yet the updates are always like giving them the news that "soon" they'll be able to make money from it and sell it from exchanges but after all of those years, people should notice that they're hoping for nothing upon waiting and being interested in this coin. Do not waste your great times on this token and just go ahead and accumulate for more Bitcoin and that's a better idea.
what bothers me with Pi is where they keep offering and continuing to recruit new people who still don't understand how the system works.
I don't know in other countries or maybe other regions, but in my area, many people are even willing to go around every corner to offer mining Pi and what they target are ordinary old people who just seem to give more hope to other people. this layman.

I don't mind if they do it themselves regardless of what they are doing and what they believe is their right but when it comes to poisoning others with something like this especially to people in my territory this is exactly what bothers me a bit , not that this is a threat but with this a lot of new people who are new to the situation in crypto and Pi get misled and make this a big mistake.
It's because of ignorance, it's so sad that there are a lot of people that wouldn't care about the data that they're sending over to the pi developers. They're being exploited by these as they've got their own application where everyone visits and those visits are converted into cash. While these people think that someday it's gonna be worth of wait for them the reality should stick in their minds that there's no way that they'll make money from it. But instead, they're the ones that's helping the devs to make cash out of their presence on its platform.
1619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 23, 2023, 12:05:39 PM
I am this close to making double of my money yesterday when I looked at my Bitcoin wallet, this was the Bitcoin I bought at 17k with two acres of farm lands I sold in 2022, I still feel very happy right now because of my decision, I believe that some risks are worth taking and mine is paying off, some people tried to talk me out of this, if I have keep the lands yes it could grow big in future, but the fastest growth of Bitcoin is far more enticing for me.

I am not trying to tell anyone to sell their properties to buy Butcoin, I have more lands that's why I am able to sell for Bitcoin, I think it's wrong having a land or two and sell because of Bitcoin, but if you have more, it's going to worth the risk, nothing grows insanely well like bitcoin does.

I am excited to see how 2024 and 2025 will play out, tell me, is anyone taking such risks with Bitcoin investment? Do you think I went too far selling something as valuable as lands?
Could be that you went far because there goes the what if but the bottom line here is whoever does this thing should carefully think of it before doing so. While you're in at good situation where you've got vast land. Some probably also did this but that's their very land and there's no other back up that they can source out if ever something goes wrong with this decision. IMO, there's nothing wrong into selling or properties or lands or anything you possess as long as you know what you are doing.

I'm curious why Team Secret has to play being named as "Team Secret ME" and with other 3 players.
There's probably a rule that each team needs at least three players from MENA to be eligible in the qualifiers. Renaming their qualifier squad to "Team Secret ME" might be for convenience, and it makes sense since Puppey and Crystallis are playing.
Ahhh, you're right. And that's why the three players that they have are from that region, the Middle East. And Riyadh masters are gonna happen in the name itself and that's why there's ruling and the same goes for this DreamLeague. I get it now.
I'm trying to look for news if Armel and yamich are out of Team Secret but it tends out that they're no news about it. Later on we will see if they'll proceed to the finals against Quest or they'll be beaten by Nigma.
