1741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your ultimate choice? on: July 27, 2022, 09:48:55 PM
Bitcoin is always my first choice, it’s the most reputable & highly adopted coin. Eth is a good coin too but I’m a little nervous about the merge. If you asked me one coin to have my whole net worth in though it’d definitely be bitcoin, all day every day.
When you come to experience the different season in the crypto market, you will certainly end up with only one final decision, and that is to always prioritize bitcoin more than any other coins. Bitcoin is the blood and the future of the crypto market, and everything that appears in the market are mostly cloned from bitcoin. While majority of them do not have brighter future and may only undervalued in the long run, bitcoin will always be the last one to stay and that’s how bitcoin becomes the most trusted and most reputable coin the market.
1742  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to raise funding for trading? on: July 27, 2022, 09:29:15 PM
I know nothing about  fundraising so please guide me through this process for my better future.
You want to raise fund for what? Trading. Know that people should not even support that because you can lose the money.

If you have been trading and making profit for 4 years now, you shouldn't be looking for fund raising, you would have raised the fund yourself.
Trading may not work for others as it brings high risk, so people will definitely avoid the idea of trading since its more on a loss than profits. If you want to grow your capital, then always leave good amount in your wallet every time you withdraw your profits. That way, the more you make profits from trading, the more your wallet balance grows. But always know that trading with a huge capital does not guarantee huge returns all the time. Once you lose them all, they will never be back again.
1743  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: July 27, 2022, 06:10:10 PM
Market's fluctuations are unpredictable and thus in crypto, you can not trust any coin to fully get invested on. But yes, you can confidently invest on best coins like, BITCOIN, ETH, BNB and etc splitting a concerned percentage you wish but not to the whole on one coin. What if market is not fare to Bitcoin and is on ETH. So invest 50% on a coin which has high trading volume and where you trust on and invest another 25% on another top coin following Bitcoin. Keep the remaining 25% to average if some unexpected moves are observed.

I think it is safer to invest in Bitcoin alone than make a diversion with another cryptocurrency.  Why?  because it is more likely that altcoin will crash than bitcoin.  If you want to divert the investment then divert it to other ventures outside cryptocurrency.  I think Bitcoin is enough for a long-term investment when it comes to cryptocurrency.  Trading altcoins is another story though.

Investing in bitcoin has always been the most secured and most profitable in the crypto market, as altcoins are only made through the image of bitcoin. However, it’s also good to invest in established altcoins but expect that they are not as secured and profitable as bitcoin. And also, investing in altcoins are risky as it is. But you could still diversify your investments in bonds, real estate and stocks. That way, if bitcoin fails, your other investments might still be in progress so you’ll not be in a total loss.
1744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think we should do with our investments in times of uncertainty? on: July 26, 2022, 09:32:51 PM
There simply isn't a right or wrong way to do things when investments start going sideways.

Every person has different financial needs. It's easy to tell people don't sell your coins in a bear market and when the prices are falling, but we don't know what state they are in. We don't know what needs they have and how much they rely on those assets no matter their current value. Having a steady and secure source of income each month can make it easy for you to not be worried about the current market conditions and not look at the price. But what if your financial well-being greatly depends on the money you make from Bitcoin? It doesn't matter how you make that money. When money gets tight, you sell what you can to keep your head about water. Unfortunately, for many that also means selling bitcoin with a huge loss.
I guess even if we sell our coins at the wrong time, the fact that we used that for our own benefit, that won't be considered a total loss. Yes, we missed a huge profit in the future, but sometimes its not the future that matters, but on how we can survive at the present. Hodling is good as its the best thing to do in times of uncertainty, but selling your bitcoin as well is not wrong either as long as you still intend to buy another bitcoin when your funds are already stable.

Is anyone here thinking of betting on Ginebra now?

They are down double digit and the odds are very attractive, what do you think?
I believe Ginebra is a strong team, they can come back even with a huge deficit and they are good in the 2nd half.

Have bet for Ginebra before the game started and as I have said in my post on our local board that this is a very risky bet as Meralco is a strong team and this is a conference where they don't have a Justine Brownlee that could score for them if they badly needed one, no go-to-guy.

A lot of time remaining and hope they will recover and win the first game of the series.

You are right, things are even getting worse, there's no way Ginebra can still come back in this game with less than 5 minutes left in the game only. Meralco having an 18 points lead, will certainly take this game. Congrats to the Meralco bettors, this is your night.  Smiley
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 24, 2022, 12:21:01 PM
Word on the street is that the Lakers just offered Jamal Crawford a 1-year contract. Crawford is one of the best sixth man to ever play in the NBA and a relentless scorer. I could see him coming off the bench for a few good moments when they need a bucket. He’s old, but many NBA players were surprised he didn’t have a contract last year, as he’s still one of the better players in the league.

Hmm, not sure about this though, is the Lakers not learned from last year's debacle? I mean getting old and veterans players? and it didn't click right?

No doubt that Crawford can play and one of the best cross over during his prime, but I'm not sure if they still need a guy like him and to be a scorer? He is not a good defender as well so honestly, I will be baffled if they get him.

As a knick fan I love me some Jamal Crawford but I tend to agree.  There are plenty of vets that can still ball but in the backcourt position if you are a step slow on defense than in your earlier years it diminishes your value.  Outside of a select few this is a young man's game and I want mobile guards for sure.  Lakers trying to do anything they can if they sign Crawford up.
A big fan too of the shake and bake maestro but I don't know, there must be a different purpose into why they want Crawford in their roster.
Maybe mentally?
He may be one of the greatest sixth man in the league but those knees are growing weaker as you age.
I don't see him being given even 20 minutes of playtime, it will be more of boosting the morale of their bench.

He is already 42 years old, the same age as Udonis Haslem and this guy is not playing anymore, so I don't think he could play more minutes. Lakers are really fun of investing in veterans but they don't know how to utilize them effectively, maybe they have to change strategy, put the young guns, and develop them.

1748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: July 23, 2022, 09:43:05 PM

Most countries are giving excuses and  reason for banning Bitcoin is because it can easily be used to fund crimes.
But I think they are afraid of losing control of their citizens' financial activities because they believe being the ones regulating financial activities makes them powerful.
What are your thoughts
If people will focus on fiat, the government will always take advantage of the people since fiat is always controlled by the government, and that they get to trace the people’s fiat activities. However, with bitcoin, it’s hard for them to control its people’s activities because bitcoin is decentralized. So aside from being suspected that it funds criminal activities, bitcoin is also treated as a bad influence to people since its taking them away from the government. Whatever the reason, I think it’s very clear that the government will use a lot of excuses just to stop people from trusting and using bitcoin in the future.
1749  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You should not worry about BTC price action on: July 23, 2022, 09:19:03 PM
I've come to terms with waiting a few years before I can see a possible recovery in order to sell, I'm not too worried despite the upsetting situation in the market and the economy in general. Having made that mistake in the past, where I abandoned Bitcoin in 2018, only for it to recover two years later, rendering it one of the largest mistakes I made involving cryptocurrencies, as it was an opportunity that could possibly result into thousands in profit.
Good profits always come to those who learn to be patient and stay positive mindset despite of the market condition that is very bearish. What we have at the moment is never new at all, as bitcoin has plummeted it’s price and is considered a lot of times, but look at the price now, it’s starting to recover and we all know that if the market turns green already, we will always see bitcoin skyrocketing and reaches its new ATH again.
1750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice from a stranger on: July 23, 2022, 08:51:08 PM
Is it true that new altcoins are the best to invest in right now? Someone said you can easily make better profits from new projects than investing in old altcoins that have already x their values already, what do you think? Good or bad idea.
I would say it’s possible but not most of the time because most of the new projects nowadays are only clone from bitcoin, or from old established altcoins, which do not guarantee if they can survive  the market uncertainties or if they can sustain the demand of the crypto community. Although there are exceptions but it only happens if that project has high potentials to grow and of course not motivated with greed.
1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just my one cent advice on: July 22, 2022, 09:37:42 PM
Anyone noticing new projects still raising millions of dollars? Mohash and Dynamic for example, I think new projects will replace lots of top altcoins in coming years and my advice to young investors is to find new projects to mix with their portfolio, remember that Matic, Polkadot, Avalnache are once all new projects in 2018/2019..
And let the newbies know too that there is more risk in new projects than old projects since they mostly developed from greed and selfish desires of their very own developers. That is why a lot of new projects these days end up as scams and some suddenly lose their value because they were not able to meet the market demand. Although not all new projects have the same fate, but it’s always good to take caution first before you end with regrets since you have invested in the wrong projects.
1752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your bag when you can on: July 22, 2022, 08:26:44 PM
A couple of days ago all I have seen are a lot of threads where people ask questions about the possibility of Bitcoin going down to $1 or coming to an end because they are panicked that Bitcoin may not experience another surge in price due to how the market downtrend a lot in just a few days ago. Are you wondering the reason behind this sudden surge in the price?

It's because "CCP tanks protecting banks because the Bank of China (Henan branch) declared that people's savings in their branch are now investment products and can't be withdrawn."

The world we are living in is far from perfect and issues like this where the institutions and FEDs take advantage of the people will always happen. This will make people realize the purpose of BTC and before that happen hold your bag when you can.
Always remember, not your key not your coin.
If the government create a stupid decision regardless if it’s unfair for the people or not, I guess that won’t matter anyway since they also have to set their plans and make them realized. This is why we should not be trusting the centralized government in the first place, otherwise we will be taken advantage with our money and possessions. If only people did realized the purpose of bitcoin and having it as our own bank, then this type of problem should have never happen.
1753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the future of Bitcoin uncertain? on: July 21, 2022, 09:40:27 PM
What could be the state of Bitcoin in the future?

This is discussed all the time but I am asking this question because my elder brother said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not exist anymore and will be completely dead. He also said that after 2025 Bitcoin will not be mined so that Bitcoin will not be able to hold its own position.

So I would like to know from you how reasonable this statement is?
Your brother must lack the information or he simply does not know what he's talking about. If you came to research, you will know that bitcoin has a lot in store for 2025. Aside from predicting that its price will be over $100k at that time, it will also gain more adoption from big countries. So if those things will be realized gradually, then what's the reason for bitcoin to be completely dead? The more years that comes, expect that the price of bitcoin will eventually grow and make a lot of progress.
1754  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcoin still remains the leading cryptocurrency in the world. on: July 21, 2022, 09:15:43 PM
You joined the forum earlier today and are already telling others what Bitcoin is.
You would benefit more from the forum, if you read and learn from the wealth of information available here. Feel free to ask questions when you get confused and previous discussions don't cover that topic or question.
True. If you keep on reading in the forum, and have your own research too, then you will definitely know the answer to your question. This has been discussed a lot of times and also gained the same answer. Bitcoin will always remain the leading cryptocurrency because there's no other coins that can surpass its high potentials. Until now, bitcoin is still the blood of the crypto market, and that the rest of the coins only submit and follow the path of bitcoin.
1755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I doing the right thing on: July 20, 2022, 09:52:35 PM
How can a newbie invest in good altcoins? I know about BTC and ETH but I think I can make more money from altcoins instead of BTC and ETH, I did my research and I have a few projects in mind but I don't know if they are worthy..

Avalanche, Mina protocol, Phala network and Aleph Zero to name a few
There's no harm in trying unless you're ready to lose. If you think they will satisfy your personal interest, then do what you think is right. After all, your money, your own will to decide. But always know that new projects these days bring a lot of risks. If you can stay away from them, much better. But if you want to try and take the risk, then always take cautions on the coins you want to invest. Search for red flags that will help you determine if they good to invest or not.
1756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the future of crypto 10 years from now. on: July 20, 2022, 09:32:31 PM
Bitcoin is the best coin in crypto and as the years passed by there are a lot of coins (altcoins) that is more profitable in terms of investment on both short and long term process, in you're future sights and speculation of btc based on some good promising projects that is now scattering and has a posibility to move to next level in the near future, Can there will be a coin that can manage to surpass btc 10 years from now?
Altcoins have been trying to compete with bitcoin but we all know that most of them still end up being undervalued, and some of them did not even manage to recover after a bear market. So how can they replace bitcoin in the future? Well, ethereum is a potential altcoin but even with its high utility cases, it will never surpass the achievements in bitcoin. And maybe 10 years from now, bitcoin will still dominate the market.

Bitcoin from Saturday 18 june 2022 with bitcoin price at 17,749 kept rising and after moving up from $18k to $20k has been fluctuating around $20k+ and as at yesterday 17th of july price rose to $21k and today 18th july it is hanging above $22K. Is this another fake bull or bull trap by the market is it late to buy since the price has reached a resistance zone or is the risk still worth taking remember never buy high

for me i am seeing a fake bull what are you seeing

image hosting
Looking at the current price for bitcoin, its very obvious that those who bought bitcoin before are profiting already, only if they decide to sell. Well, there's no wrong in selling early as long as you never sell for a loss, and the hope that you'll buy back again once bitcoin turns cheaper again. However, i am not certain with the current price surge because anytime it could drop again and end up as a bull trap. So to avoid regrets, might as well let's continue to hold our bitcoin and only sell them if the market bull run has totally appear.
1759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hyosun America will enable Bitcoin purchases in over 175 ATMs across the United on: July 19, 2022, 08:59:01 PM
Through its new partnership, Hyosun America will enable Bitcoin purchases in over 175 ATMs across the United States.

Hyosun America, the largest ATM manufacturer in the United States, has entered into a new partnership agreement with DigitalMint, Bitcoin's leading Proof-of-sale provider, to make Bitcoin available for purchase in more than 175 ATMs across the country.

“We’re looking forward to working with Hyosung America to make cryptocurrency services easily and safely accessible to their 175,000 deployed ATMs in the United States and beyond,” said, Don Wyper, chief operating officer of DigitalMint.

This will boost more on the existence of bitcoin. Aside from the popularity that bitcoin is going to gain, next to it is the expectation that there will be more people who will start patronizing and buying bitcoin, not only for investment alone, but also it can be hold too for future usage. I just hope that now that a lot of bitcoin atm machines have arise, hopefully there will also be a lot of big stores who will start accepting bitcoin as a payment method.
1760  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid loan apps, a word of advice. on: July 18, 2022, 09:46:14 PM
In general, it is not recommendable to adquire debt unless it is necessary.
I have seen some of those apps, specially I have seen Xiaomi's credit app called "Mi Credit", according what I have read it is popular in India (one's of Xiaomi's most important markets).

I am not familiarized with the interest of these apps and whether they are predatory or not, as a rule of thumb, credit is supposed to be a tool for emergency expenses but unfortunately I am aware that there are people in both developed and developing countries that put themselves in a position of increasing debt risking their credit scored and personal finances.
If possible, if you want to borrow money, go to your nearest friends or relatives first because they won't be putting high interest on your loan. As taking loans could bring risks, but in times right now, taking loans has already been a norm especially if you need rush money due to some unforeseen, emergency events. However, be more cautious enrolling in some loan apps online as they can be source of scams or whatsoever. Its better to go to established lending companies as they can be reliable than to try loan apps that are total strangers to you.
