Block by agentcash !
Good job agentcash with your 4th Kano block! (an S9?) This is our 1st of the new day! S9v2 Yep the S9v1 sux something terrible - the stats are still getting worse. ANYONE using the v1 firmware - PLEASE update to v2. It's got to conspiracy theory levels how bad the luck is with S9v1 firmware. The last luck report I ran: S9v1: Block found: 79 Expected: 105.15 CDF[Erl]: 0.996590 Yeah that's basically saying that it's averaging 75% luck for 79 blocks ... that's like really BAD luck ... or BAD code. How would you go about doing that? Ive got a B10 S9 and don't want to get that autotune crap due to the location of my S9 (under my desk). Also how do you know what version of BMminer youre running anyway? I couldn't see it anywhere on the GUI.

mentioned in OP deal completed with me Five days ago via txid f31189f706f036d86af6e9fa7883ca8a51383896983a3bc758a1a1c6bd3957d0 I doubt that the OP needs new deal.
Doesn't say it's been done anywhere on this listing. But if you say so then fair enough. Saves waiting for a response cheers zazarb

S9 plumed into home heating. S3 for ambient room heat.
Nice setup. I like the suspended aspect. Different and uses "wasted" space in the room.

How many times does it have to be said on here. Escrow will not touch a PayPal deal as even if it is sent as friends and family it can be charged back if they say there PayPal account was hacked etc etc.
No paypal deal is safe unless the person sending the PayPal waits 180days to go past the chargeback threshold.

Or just run a stratum proxy on the laptop and keep miners on their own switch. There's probably a lot of ways to do that, but it's not really necessary to discuss here.
I don't know if there'll be an update to cgminer proper, that's between vh and ck. VH's code so far compiles cgminer with --enable-gekko like Novak's, but vh's code is better. There is no code "for the chip so it talks to cgminer correctly"; the chip is a fixed hardware implemention so it only knows one way to talk. The code is so cgminer knows how to talk to the chip correctly - or more specifically, chips plural.
For anyone running Novak's cgminer for old Compacs, I'm going to recommend using VH's new cgminer instead because it should do the job better. Novak's was a rehash of U3 Icarus driver (and BM1382 chips), but VH's code is designed a lot more specifically for the BM1384. It'll run even a single-chip Compac more smoothly than Novak's did.
That is exactly what I was trying to assertain sorry for the lamens wording about the chip talking I'll get a spare raspi sd card to compile the newer cgminer when it's released. Can't wait to be able to see more info such as temp etc on the BW pods.

Sidehack, could you just clarify something for me?
I've just read in the 2pac sales thread that Philip asked if the older version of cgminer gekko would work with the new 2pac stick. You said it would show a lot of HW errors. Now the code that vh is doing, is that for the chip so it talks to cgminer correctly or will there be an update for cgminer to be able to run the new hardware you're producing?

Turn the clock down and the fans up would be a start I reckon.

Ok Samsung my mistake for reading your post incorrectly. Plus I don't hate anyone. Just been scammed by people (newbies) before after thinking to myself that I'll take the chance and give them a hand to get them started on the forum after knowing exactly what it was like to be in that situation. Well let's just say I now understand why everyone was defensive, I've been scammed numerous times and the behaviour of this guy dditto rings alarm bells for anyone who has experience here. Plus his attitude stinks and is no way to conduct business.

Great way to talk to people on the forum. Way to get future business So was this deal done successfully? I would like to know the outcome of this before I deal with the user. He pm'd me to do a larger deal with him and want to know if everything went ok before agreeing to his deal.
I gave him my PayPal email and he said he can not send and we did not do anything http://prntscr.com/djr0lpSo youre buying btc now Samsung2017? I thought you were selling it in your thread. It seems its newbie scammer against newbie scammer, whos gonna win....place your bets now!

Let's put it this way Samsung2017, no one will deal with you apart from mixan. He is prepared to take the risk so suck it uk and deal with him. I've already refused your deal via PM so take mixan a offer and try and redeem yourself on this forum, you may even get some trust feedback.

I've never used it, so its brand clean.
Never used it? It's an S7 I find that highly unlikely that it's never been used.

My apologies if this has been covered before but I've tried the search function and couldn't quite see what I was after. I'm away from a computer and on my phone so can't view the readme file either.
Basically I've been using cgminer-gekko-rev2 on a raspi3 for some time now and have recently been told by another forum nember that bfgminer supports gekko compacs (sidehack sticks) and you're able to adjust the freq without having to reboot the pi every time.
Now to my question. Can I install the current version of bfgminer on the same raspi memory card using the "aptitude" function as listed on the first page? What happens when you use that function? Is it an auto install or do I still have to compile it?
Would there be any conflict between cgminer and bfgminer? Also would the Autorun function be the same if I were to enter it into the raspi /etc/rc.local file?
Thanks in advance for any help.
|
|
|
Well that is slightly easier than altering the /etc/rc.local file every time and rebooting.
Um, ja... Back when I ran my 10GHs BFL cubes I tried using cgminer and for the life of me could not get the hang of it. BFGminer was plug-and-play with a CLI. I do believe there are some 3rd-party GUI programs for it as well. Thanks for the info. I'll install it onto my Pi alongside cgminer gekko rev2 then I can have a choice of what to run my compacs on.
