2081  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online casino. What's the reliability of the technology? on: April 13, 2022, 02:16:09 PM
To what extent is the online  slot game machine RTP reliable based on it's technology?

As words in the street has it that it has gained so much popularity than other casino games due to it's simplicity nature.

Let's discuss, what's your view.

The reliability of a casino's RTP mainly relies on the software, operator, developer, and license they have. Be sure to check all of these to know whether the RTP they declare is reliable. If you check they have a licensed and belongs to a reputable operator, developer, and issuer of license itself, then you can be at ease they are offering the right RTP to you. After all, what you can do is just to verify and trust the given information and the researched information you digged upon.

Since these casinos won't really disclose their algorithm and the software they are using for security purposes for them as well, you can just countercheck whether those who issued license are known. If they lack license, then you should think twice because it is of importance to know if they are abiding the rules, the standards, and processes and procedures required for a casino to operate legally.
2082  Economy / Gambling / Re: Video Course of BlackJack for people who want to learn BlackJack on: April 13, 2022, 01:20:44 PM
There is good news for people who want to learn about BlackJack. Quoted from GamblingInsider.com on this article, OnlineGambling.com provides eight seasons of video courses to help novice players to become "experts" in the game of BlackJack. This course is provided free of charge and can be watched online for those who want to dive into Mathieu Blake's BlackJack game. The BlackJack players may know who Mathieu Blake is known as Mr. BlackJack. He will guide players from beginners to experts in his videos.

Do you often watch videos like this to improve your skills in playing BlackJack or other card games? Or do you feel so confident in your abilities that you don't need such video courses?

Here is the link to the video course https://www.onlinegambling.com/blackjack/academy/course-plan/

Maybe there are many videos like the video above that we can watch to become a pro in BlackJack.

This is a good initiative given that the video course regarding learning to play BlackJack is entirely free and all they got to do is have a free time and understand what the video is all about. Personally, I don't really watch tutorials mainly because I seldom have a free time to do so. But surely, this will be beneficial most especially to the peoplr who are curious and are planning to play in BlackJack.

These types of learning material is helpful to some particularly to those who are visual learners because they can see and hear what they have to do in order to master it. Improving skills after all, must be done so that we don't waste our money in betting. And of course, to avoid making mistakes that could cost us a lot.
2083  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: April 12, 2022, 01:52:23 PM

You are right, but mostly they will say that they have legal terms and say that they will not be sharing it with others. This is only for their own consumption, but still it manages to leak. This is really the problem now, but in order to signup and play on a gambling website, you really need to do KYC, and now I noticed that privacy is not that important to others since they don't care where they are sending their personal information. The only thing that we are like holding right now is really they terms and conditions about our data to make sure our information are safe
I never believed that they share our data and we start getting the ads dependent on our likes and interest. I noticed that real soon that I get the ads depended on likes and interest. For the moment I have deactivated my fb and insta accounts. To have some peace of mind.

Well you cannot really escape from the world of targeted advertising, no matter where you go in this world. Even in nature there are examples of advertisement. Or at least a kind of advertisement. A good smelling fruit is appealing to animals, animals eat the fruit, poop out the seeds. Their poop becomes the seedlings fertilizer. So obviously this is a good trade.

But as far as the human world goes: I think advertisement is also good but sometimes we overdo it. We go too far. We start annoying people.

Thats the worst part. The annoyance from bad advertising practices.
Valid point as beautiful stated - we cannot escape from the world of advertising but to much adds are annoying that is why a serious player would go an ad free site. As I am getting older - I think I am loosing patience too and I would rather prefer distraction free things.

There is always a right mix for everything.

Too much display of ads is really irritating most especially if it keep on popping and interfering with what you are doing. Most of us have short attention span and patience for some, hence, having this frequent ads on your screen would be really annoying and eye-sore. Some websites and applications really sell the data to other platforms so that they may reach us in accordance to what we liked, what we searched the most, and what interests us. The algorithm is programmed that way to cater and entice the user to perhaps view to add on traffic and even purchase or try the product or service.

Hopefully, there would be lesser invasive ads in the future. Overusing ads is annoying. Although I know that there are certain features now to keep you being ad-free but that costs a penny too. May ads won't be a bother here in gambling community because after all, ads are good promotion too. The wrong usage of it just makes it intolerable.
2084  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: April 12, 2022, 12:57:16 PM
Does the slot only has the RTP? or even the table games and roulettes? I think I would prefer promotion over RTP since I am not a casino guy and I am more of a sports betting player but if they have good RTP or better RTP and have a good promotions I think that was enough for all the players.

Casino games have RTP in general. This Return To Player depicts the percentage rate of chances in which a player might win as time passes by. The higher the RTP, the better it is for the player because there's a higher probability that he'll win a big amount even in a small bet. Most players really look after this in every casino because this is one of the things that will determine if you will make the most out of your bet. Oftentimes, reputable websites have good rate of RTP which is one of the reasons why they retain many players over time despite the competition in the Internet for gambling websites. Balanced RTP and promotions can definitely help a casino soar because they'll target encouraging new players and retaining the existing clients.
2085  Economy / Gambling / Re: Another New Rule On Gambling Adverts Ban Celebrities and Sports Stars on: April 12, 2022, 11:42:55 AM
Since the new prohibition is because of underage it going to have a strong impact and many celebrities will strictly adhere to, the new law to protect underage from gambling addiction this is a strong point that casino both physical of online casinos will have to play along the right part if their want to continue operations.

You are right. Casinos and gambling website should abide the law if they still want to continue to operate because there are certain degree of punishments for those who break the law for serving their self-interests which in this case, to make a profit. This new rule will however cost their exposure and reach because the advertisements will be banned to protect the minors, but this is for the better.

However, I still find it not that much of a use because no matter how hard they try to ban the ads from the youth, they will eventually make a way to go over it if they would want to. After all, the technology is now more advanced than before and the Internet is just a little part of all of it. They can still know about it outside the Internet, perhaps from their peers and the likes. Although still, this is a good initiative if would be strengthen to really filter those underage from accessing.
2086  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which would be better ? on: April 12, 2022, 11:02:39 AM
It depends on your intentions of playing. Whether you would like to do the following
  • Play with your luck
  • Play with your knowledge

Luckily, you can just play with slots and other games that provide chances to multiply your bet.
For knowledge, you can use the knowledge you can get in sports and determine who the winner in the match is.

This would always be dependent on what you are going to do and where you are confident.

I agree with this. This subject matter would entirely depend on you - what you like best, what entertains you most, what you think will be most suitable for you. Because people have their different perspectives, standards, and desire in something.

For some, it would be more appropriate for them to go with sportsbetting because they love sports and has a broad background knowledge about it which can be their edge whenever they will make a bet. Meanwhile, some might find casino gambling best because they aren't really knowledgeable in sports and isn't really entertained or fond with it. In addition, perhaps they just want to rely on luck and strategy or tactics to make them choose casino over sports.

Whichever will make you comfortable, entertained, and whichever you think will make the most worth of your bet, you choose it. It's all up to you. Just make sure to do a research first and then pick between the two in accordance to your preferences.
2087  Economy / Economics / Re: online skills in the face of war on: April 12, 2022, 10:16:52 AM
I was thinking within me and my thoughts was if  everyone needs to get a digital skill in-spite of their profession or discipline. looking at it from the angle of declining economies where political, societal, ethnic, cultural, religious, territorial and economic war is hitting the apex as well as currency devaluation. Following this high level of declining economy is it best to get a digital skill either as a full time business or a complementary pay check.

Salaries and wages this days aren't sufficient any longer to handle daily bills, most salary earners still live below their salaries which keeps them in perpetual debt. Now in this era the best place to meet a vast crowd of clients is on an online platform and this way more services can be rendered within lesser time with more patronage. So i began my thoughts is digital skill the alternative

If we try to analyze this critically we might say this insufficiency in pay checks is one of the factors that is triggering greed, selfish and money conscious services around organizations. I was thinking If many get an side paying job with digital skill that can help handle bills it might be a gateway to reducing the self centered services we receive

Are you thinking what i am thinking or you have a different view

If you really want to have an additional income amidst the war happening because of its consequences such as increase in prices of goods and commodities, you may opt to do so. Upskilling is a good thing most especially if you want to find a work for a sideline online. Because as you know, the competition in landing to a good paying online job is strong too, hence, you have to find your niche and focus on it to offer it to your potential clients. You have to find your skill/s, hone it, and utilize it to your own advantage as much as you can. There are many people that just started their job hunting for the sake of having a second job. And I know many people that got really fortunate to make it their main source of income due to sufficient and even more than enough compensation for their work.

Since most salaries aren't really enough like what you said, a lot of people are really forced to find another source of income to get by or perhaps also sustain the lifestyle they desire. Having an online job now that there is a war happening is viable depending on your determination and resources. The Internet isn't really affected by the war of Russia-Ukraine, and hopefully it won't be affected in the future. That's why anyone can pursue it if they have and want to because there's nothing really wrong about it. As a matter of fact, it's practical.
2088  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic consequences of Russian-Ukraine War on: April 11, 2022, 03:09:12 PM
This conflict between Russia and Ukraine really has a lot of consequences. And countries all over the world felt that the moment the invasion became more serious and the sanctions imposed grew larger in number and heavier. During the early times of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the prices of oil in the market evidently sky-rocketed due to limited sources because of the sanctions. As Russia holds a large supply of oil, which resulted to oil-price hike that nearly or even surpassed the original amoun prior the war.

This alone, has brought so many repercussions and affected so many people all around the globe. The moment the oil price increased, other goods and services also followed. The increase in transportation fee due to sudden increase of price of oil triggers the increase of pice of goods and commodities as well because it uses transportation to import and export in travelling the goods.

Right now, here in our country, the price of oil is slowly decreasing. Although it's still not considered to be back to normal pricing as before, but it's still better compared to almost before which is so damn high for a liter. Hopefully, this will continue so that the average and lower class could get by and survive the daily basis.
2089  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: April 11, 2022, 01:31:43 PM
When you plan to organize a boycott of some sites in a particular country, then, firstly, the inhabitants of this country will use such sites more and thereby compensate for its attendance.  Secondly, there are users on the territory of the opposition countries who, out of curiosity, will use these sites.
As a result, there will be no real boycott.
Well, this is indeed quite difficult to do because this is going back to one thing, namely boycotting is not something that is easy enough to do. telling someone else would be quite difficult to do.
maybe I think this goes back to myself when you really don't like it then you can only start from yourself but inviting other people might be a little difficult, even though you can but it definitely takes time
This is all correct.
It is quite difficult to persuade users who are used to a particular site.  It will be inconvenient for them to switch to others and many do not understand why they personally need to do this.
And there are also people who will deliberately start using such Russian gambling sites - just out of harm.
No, this is an empty boycott initiative.
It doesn't work effectively.

I agree. There are many members here in forum that have a go-to gambling websites which they are already used to. Transitioning to a new one when the current website they are playing on is still of great service and satisfies them sounds futile to me. In addition, these gambling websites that are Russian owned doesn't necessarily automatically supports the war that's been going on between Russia and Ukraine. There are business owners that are also against it, yet can do so little about it because after all, they are just a small entity.

I don't really see this boycotting movement beneficial to the current conflict that has been happening. Perhaps boycotting those website that upright support the invasion of their country to Ukraine is more appealing and justifiable. There are many innocent lives at stake now, adding more people into it will just be so cruel.
2090  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: April 11, 2022, 01:05:18 PM
In theory I would expect that more promotions and special offers are attracting more customers short term. There should be a strong correlation between a new promotion and higher traffic at a casino. But some of this traffic will probably disappear when the promotion ends. Whereas higher RTP games should keep a higher percentage of the gamblers at the casino. In case the casino has a certain amount of money than can give back to the gamblers either through promotions or RTP, then the casino needs to find the right mix between the two. The thing is that a change in RTP might not really be noticed by the individual gambler. Let's say that the casino changes it RTP from 95% to 96%. It's a big step for the casino, but for the average gambler it only makes a small difference. That's why I prefer to use promotions, here you know exactly what you get and it makes it easier to plan ahead.

This is an interesting insight. Personally, I think greater RTP is more sensible over spending on promotions, especially if a casino or a gambling website is already well known. But now that you've mentioned it, I agree that promotions can be useful to increase the traffic in a site which is of importance to this kind of industry to determine whether it is worth it or not.

I guess the gambling sites should really get the balanced and perfect mixed combinations of both to really achieve their desired result in both garnering new players and at the same time, retaining those existing players on their site. Perhaps these promotions such as collaborations, partnerships, and the likes really matter in terms of marketing to gain more new players. Although they should still not overspend on it because excessive funding of promotion could compromise their services offered without them noticing.
2091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's price stabilize someday? on: April 11, 2022, 12:32:05 PM
Bitcoin has achieved a lot nearly 13 years since its inception. Ever since mainstream adoption skyrocketed like crazy, prices have never been the same as they were before. As it's been proven over time, Bitcoin outperforms Gold, Silver, and nearly every other asset on Earth. Despite widespread adoption of Bitcoin by mainstream businesses, companies, and governments alike, prices relative to Fiat haven't stabilized yet. It's something that I find odd, since institutional investors are already in the game. Not only that but some ETFs have been approved by the SEC. If Gold's price is relatively stable, why can't Bitcoin be the same?

Why do you think Bitcoin's price hasn't stabilized yet? Is there a possibility they will stabilize in the future? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

Just like any oyher currency, bitcoin isn't meant to be stable. Even fiat's value fluctuate from time to time depending on how the country's economy is doing. Bitcoin won't be stable because it the market moves in fluctuated manner. There would certainly pumps and dumps depending on the season and to the external factors affecting the market movement.

In the future, perhaps it could be lesser volatile. I guess that's a more suitable terminology to say. Lesser volatile in terms of having a fluctuation that is tolerable and predictable compared today that there are still a somewhat huge percentage to be mined. If in the future there would be small amount or none left, then probably its volatility will be affected which could cause predictable market prices. But right now, I don't really see it happening anytime soon. And even if it would, people would always find ways to make innovation. After all, bitcoin is in blockchain technology.
2092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone recommend me a safe place to store my bitcoins? on: April 11, 2022, 12:01:05 PM
Can anyone recommend me a safe place to store my bitcoins?

You can try using hardware wallets such as Trezor to keep your accounts safe from hacking. Just make sure to buy from a legitimate store so that you will be assured that your device isn't tampered. I've seen cases that people bought from an unreputable reseller and then end up getting his account's asset all transferred to an unknown receiver in a snap. While it is safe to store accounts in a hardware wallet, we still have to make sure that it is clean from all sorts of tactics.

You can also try Electrum which I also use to store my btc. For the years I've been using this, I haven't experience any trouble such as phishing or scamming. But still be wary because sometimes it's human error which brings unfrotunate events. Do not ever share your password and seedphrase to anyone. Even if you trust a friend so much, just don't. For additional security and assurance, you can also write down your seedphrase and password to a private notebook and store it in a safe place such as vault to avoid losing it which could result to being not able to open your account in the future.
2093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A month of WAR on: April 11, 2022, 11:30:54 AM
A lot has happened, there is sorrow and joy, some are happy and some are injured, some have lost their parents, and there are also countries taking advantage of wars, as well as crypto currency, Ukraine and Russia have started to switch to crypto currency with various reasons, such as Russia switching to crypto currency to avoid various sanctions, when will this war end..??

Indeed. There are so many challenges that happened in a short span of time most especially between Russia and Ukraine which have conflicts among them. Several issues are the root causes that are still haven't resolved up until now since Russia doesn't want to back down and Ukraine has to maintain their defense as well. If these things will keep on happening, a lot of people will continue to lose their lives in the war. Many structures such as homes and establisements will be damaged and maybe could be brought into collapse. Which is why hopefully, this will soon end.

However, it seems that NATO wants to be part of the picture due to Russia's attacks to Ukraine. If they would come forward to defend Ukraine, surely this war will not be over, but rather be worse. Because Russia do not want any intervention most especially of NATO. If any country or organization dare to cross them, certainly they will raise and level up the war.
2094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance donates $10 million to support Ukraine on: April 09, 2022, 03:53:15 PM
At this point from someone living close to all this, i don't like to think this as PR move for greasing any politicians positive views on crypto. But act of kindness and something that's right thing to do. At time like this i am not so much thinking profits either. Sure, i could have made a ton by shorting but making money out of a war just seemed too dirty for my taste.

I have the same perspective, mate. I believe all of these are just act of kindness and generosity for those people who are affected by the war between Russia and Ukraine. This is a good initiative done by Binance because that's a hefty amount and can really help buy the things needed for those people residing in the war zone or anywhere near it.

In addition, this will be of great benefit to rebuilt the houses and the city itself once all of these conflicts are over. It can be used to rebuilt the damaged and broken shelters and can power the evacuation sites while the war is still happening. Hopefully, this will soon be over and peace will prevail in the end.
2095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye, privacy, goodbye, it was nice while it lasted. on: April 09, 2022, 02:52:15 PM
Anything decentralized like bitcoin core, electrum, etc. is not affected.

At the end of the day, the person will still need to use some centralized service to be able to spend bitcoin.

I'm not particularly surprised by these measures, this was something expected to happen sooner or later, just seeing that they've been asking for KYC for a long time, so what did people expect? did you expect governments to be in favor of anonymity? what would be the point of just requiring KYC on exchanges and leaving other services without any monitoring or control?

It's really unfortunate that people are slowly being forced into centralization despite bitcoin being decentralized in nature. It's true that the government seeks control in almost every way possible, hence, the central organizations and other financial or exchanger platform under the jurisdiction of the government is mandated to have KYC on their clients. This is their way to regulate if they can't manipulate crypto itself.

Here in our country, you really have to use a centralized exchanger in order to spend or withdraw your bitcoin and other coins. This comes with tax in order for them to profit, of course, and anonymity is already compromised. But this is the sad reality. Sooner or later, verification of identity would be required and not just optional which will defeat the purpose of bitcoin. There may be ways, but hopefully in the future it won't be limited.
2096  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: April 09, 2022, 01:40:06 PM
It's retention against recruiting new players, we all know that for a casino to run smoothly it must have loyal and permanent players it will not be possible if they have a poor RTP and concentrate on promotion, retention is very important for the casino to continue existing that is why well-established casinos concentrate on retaining their players by offering bonuses giveaways and of course better RTP.

You have a valid point. However, RTP and Promotions should come hand-in-hand in order for a gambling website to be successful and competitive. Both RTP and promotions are essential in retaining and gaining new players. Promotions encourage people to gamble on their site, which is of importance because any business has to grow. Having new clients will boost the development and perhaps the expansion of the gambling website.

Meanwhile, RTP's main goal is to preserve and maintain the presence of the current players who stayed with them for a long period of time. Having a nice RTP will keep the existing players play on their website, maintaining the traffic and active players in it.

This is why both is important in a gambling site. The owner must be able to manage the website's need such as RTP and promotions, in a balanced way, so that they could garner and maintain their patronages.
2097  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: April 09, 2022, 01:08:07 PM
Hey OP, so what's the Update in your search for Gambling site that will fit your desire about bonuses? have you found at least one ?

please mind updating us here because what i found in all of your created threads? after the creation you never give a chance updating lol.

I don't think he is serious about it and only this topic to talk about something that is related to gambling. I don't think he can find any gambling sites here that would give free credits without depositing. I think faucet is the closest thing he can find in gambling sites.

It would indeed be very suspicious if a gambling site is willing to provide a welcome bonus to anyone just for signing, although it is not impossible. The problem I see is that it would be a system that could potentially be fooled by creating fake users, even if their KYC is strong some hacker out there could find the way to get bonus after bonus. I think that a reasonable sign in should be 25% to 50% of the first deposit.

Giving sign up bonus to literally everyone who will just "sign-up" on their website is close to impossible nowadays. Even though an owner is very generous, I doubt someone will do it because their business would be at stake. They have to profit too, not lose much more by establishing a business. In addition, if a casino or gambling site would do such, there's a high possibility that the players would abuse it by making multiple accounts just for the sake of the sign up bonus.

This could cause the ecosystem of the website to crash without even hitting its peak. Which is why most gambling websites now require certain amount of wager in order for the player to withdraw. Oftentimes, the amount to be wagered is higher so that they would not in disadvantaged side.
2098  Economy / Gambling / Re: how to choose best Gambling website for Gambling ? on: April 09, 2022, 12:27:03 PM
If you don't know some terms I think the best option would be for you to study them first. There are loads of info that you can find in google and also in this forum... Then look for some sites that review the casinos so you can check what they offer you.
Is there anything like best gambling site? I believe almost all gambling sites have their flux and limitations. Some with deposit/withdrawal fee while other might have non. We always tend to go for those gambling platform that interest us especially when it has good reputable, deposit bonus, quick transactions, good customer service etc. Choosing from a random of gambling platform here on this forum should not be a problem because their are many good ones here.
There are some notable differences but most of the time they are all just the same.
They differ only in;

1. Design
2. UI/UX
3. Promotions
4. Support responsiveness

Being the best would be subjective because we do have different preference when it comes to site that
we do love to play on.

This true that this kind of topic always result on a subjective opinion but what if we can use the total number of active players on the Casino to determine the best among the top tier Casino. No one use this as basis since most of the time the criteria that you mention is always we are looking but what if base the result on total user since this active user will not gonna stay active if the Casino is some kind of shit.

The only problem is if the Casino will display a legit amount of there active member on there website.

You're right. Best gambling website as a topic varies from one player to another. We have different tastes and we look for different features and functionalities whenever we search for a gambling website. Some might prefer this website over the other, while you might find it absurd for your own liking because you don't click with the graphics or conditions. It's all a subjective matter. It depends on what are you looking for and of course, your first-hand experience in it.

Looking for the active number of users is a nice move to determine whether a website is worth it or not. Because of course, the players will be the living proof that they are offering good quality of services, hence, there is a lot of patronage. However, I also agree that some website might manipulate it, so it's still risky to base on that alone. I suggest, OP would check all the reviews and feedbacks here in forum and in other platforms as well to know and verify.

I agree.

There's no such thing about bonuses without depositing first, unless it is a faucet. There's no way a certain gambling site would give bonuses without getting something in return. If he could find any faucets also, it won't give any big bonus or free Satoshis. Also, gambling sites sometimes gives a certain amount of bonus if you're gonna meet the minimum deposit to get that bonus, however it is not withdrawable.
2100  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which would be better ? on: April 09, 2022, 05:17:43 AM
Which would be better for gambling casinos or sports games?
I've seen both but sports seem a lot easier to me and casinos are hard for me.
  • What do I need to know to play casino?
  • Which is a more profitable casino or sports game?
  • And Which Platform should take as a newbie gambler, casino or sports?

The choice is yours to make, since you've said you find sports betting easy, I think that's where you should stay to make profits. Both platforms accepts newbies, and neither of the two options should be chosen if you're not really prepared on what's gonna happen next. Both are risky to be played at, that's why enough knowledge to make profits is very important.
