2181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Weekend Trading, how do you feel about it? on: December 17, 2021, 02:17:50 PM
According to my experience on every weekend market looks in consolidation zone and a little or big dump happen on weekends mostly so we need to be careful on weekends or try to close trades
It is mostly a dump that happens during the weekend as most of the traders are taking a break (as I usually did). That is why I don't make trading as well and I set those days for my family. We can't be a whole life in trading, that was the fact. By simply giving time to rest and spend time with our family is a healthy lifestyle that I think, we all needed.
Anyways, 2 days are good enough while having a huge load during weekdays.
2182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remember yearn finance (YFI)?? on: December 16, 2021, 11:28:20 PM
Generally i was checking altcoins chart on coingecko for trading purpose and i found yearn finance founded by Andre Cronje! This token was able to hit $43k milestone from $31 within just two months from launch. It might be a simple thing in crypto world but i'm remembering it because of it drew attention when it hit $90,786.89 ATH on May 12, 2021 which is bigger than bitcoin price. I'm not comparing it with btc but this is the coin which cross bitcoin price lol.
What do you think about this altcoin? Will it be worth in upcoming years?
It was a sign of short growing but it can't be tested like that. It was very overwhelming to see its price surpassing Bitcoin's ATH but this is not how to measure the capabilities of the project. Might it has but the question is how long it was able to sustain to be at the top of that was we called hype and it suddenly it has gone like a bubble. I don't want to think that sad ends but it was good to familiarize its market potentials or maybe, they could able provide the demand. And if that going to happen, we can expect a long life of this project.
2183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Dead??? on: December 16, 2021, 09:52:22 PM
I was actually quite surprised to see Doge shoot up 35% 2 days ago (or was it 3 days ago whichever) and this was in terms of BTC price,,, not dollar which I guess would have been even more?

And then everything came back again and it looks headed down as usual.

If people still are not convinced about the fate of memecoins,,, I have no idea what will.

That pump is just temporary, you can tell that they are still hyped up with DOGE, and due to its good liquidity, it's not hard for the whales to consider this coin as their playground, I consider it as gambling rather than investment because I'm pretty sure that it will not be price this way in the future, it will be significantly lower.
2184  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 16, 2021, 09:37:50 PM

Yes, Canelo has been jumping from one weight division to another. And even when he jumped to 175 pounds he was still able to handle himself well and even scored a great knockout victory against Kovalev. So I don't think Canelo has made this decision without taking into consideration how much weight he has to gain to be able to face Makabu. If he makes it to the scale, I think he can also handle Makabu well and could even bring him to the canvas as well. But 175 to 190 has 15 pounds in the middle. That's a big amount of weight Canelo has to gain.

Based on the body built of Canelo it wouldn't be hard for him to attain the 175 pounds requirement for the Cruiserweight division and yeah for sure he and or his team wouldn't allow jumping from one division to another if they know that Canelo isn't capable of. Maybe 190 pounds would be a bit challenging for him on how to attain it but somehow I think we shouldn't have to focus on it since Canelo has already a scheduled upcoming fight against Makabu.

175 lbs is for Light Heavy Weight, 190 lbs is for Cruiserweight. Maybe Canelo will weight between 180-190 lbs fighting in this division because for sure it will be hard for him to go to 200 lbs walking.

Well he can lift weights to gain body muscle but it might affect his speed, which will be his biggest advantage against a natural cruiserweight like Makabu.

He needs to work more to keep his speed even he's gaining weight, like what you just said, his speed will be his greatest advantage to
a natural cruiserweight division. If he can fight the way he originally has, even with this weight, the chance of winning is much better. Knowing Alvarez, he will do everything to excel.

He choose to step up. There must be a good reason aside from money. We will be the witness if he can proceed and bring more fights
from this new division.

I read some posts online that the higher the weight class the better the pay, so money is not a problem if Canelo would excel here as he will surely get big fights and be paid better than he was paid in the division he reign, after this, he can to go light heavyweight but let's not presume it now, it's too early, he has to win this fight first and it should be in a convincing way.
2185  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: December 16, 2021, 08:48:09 PM
I don't know which version of investors the OP is referring to but I completely disagree, can you match your statement with those who have invested in btc, eth, bnb, sol, axs, dot, etc from the beginning or at a certain point where they buy-in?
If you as an investor didn't recognize the right time to sell or buy it is on you but don't generalize it to the behavior of every investor.

Exactly, because timing is really important, knowing when to buy and sell is the right strategy to make ourselves profitable. However, we cannot expect that everyone will be profitable as the demand of crypto for usage is not really that huge, therefore, expect that when some makes money from investing, others will also lose, it's just up to us to choose which side we will fall.
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 16, 2021, 08:28:25 PM
He is not a huge problem, Luka is, and the Lakers are lucky that Luka was out. It's a hard-fought victory and therefore they deserve the credit for beating a good team, but it's good to watch next time if Luka is going to play as he can play head to head with Lebron.
You probably need to edit your reply. By the way, even if Luka was out the Lakers was still struggling to get that win since most are lucky bunch on both teams. That was hell of a good game for both of them raining some threes during the overtime. Sure it will have a different outcome if Luka was playing with the Mavs.
It's so disrespectful if we don't recognize the effort of the team to win, Mavs put an effort on their win, they deserve the credit, and even if Luka was there, that does not guarantee that the Mavs will win.
2187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy alts at the right time? on: December 16, 2021, 01:34:09 PM
Buying alts begins when you did a good research on trusted and reliable sources that will provide you the best outcome. You should see them at coinmarketcap listed with cheap price in each coins or tokens, but make sure that altcoin has a consistent volume at popular trading sites. That's very important to determine how it will go along the way by the time altcoins glory will come.

All these recommendations fully apply to the purchase of altcoins, however it is necessary to emphasize that it is always good to buy when BTC is about to be in a bullish trend, and above all that the BTC market is in the correct stage, because if you buy Altcoins in the accumulation stage you have to wait as long as possible until the BTC rises in price and so the altcoins do, you also have to take into account that the altcoins should not be bought when the BTC market is in the stage of Distribution, because it is when millionaires sell and therefore the price of BTC goes down and when the altcoins go down a lot they suffer a lot.

I'd always check the market when to start in the recovery which it believes to be the best buying moment for us not to wait long to make a profit but that seems can't be done perfectly due to volatility. That is why I've changed my mind to buy during the dip without looking at such a thing as I know myself that I can still wait long. Even if the recovery will commence a month or a year but at least my bag is full already and I could certainly be in profit once we got back to bullish again.
2188  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 15, 2021, 09:03:00 PM
I know everyone is keeping an eye on Canelo and believing that he could make this upcoming fight of him against Makabu favor on him again which it is undeniable that Canelo is a great fighter with no record of loss but he needed to accomplish this planned game of him before he entertain another milestone on his career.

Since Canelo is moving up, he becomes an interest to anyone. Defeating Makabu is the first step if he is fit on a much above weight class. I don't consider Makabu as an easy opponent as he is used to fighting already on that catchweight.

Maybe he just wanted to test the waters and if he didn't like it or if he goes to win a belt then he can go down to LW and chase more against a undefeated champion in Beterbiev.

I also thought of this but if Canelo will win the fight, he will think he can handle that weight class and will be more open to fighting much above boxers. If he loses, he will ask for a rematch before considering going back to his preferred weight class.
I also consider that Canelo is well above MaKabu, Makabu is a great boxer, his technique is very good and in fact his training is not easy at all, I have seen some videos of him and they really are very promising, but when we compare him with Canelo , I think Canelo is still above the average of many boxers, because he is accustomed to his victories and Makabu is starting in a higher category than him and to welcome him, Canelo would say that Canelo is overqualified for him, without detracting from the effort of Makabu.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time that Canelo attempted to fight in a heavier division, so I would not really think that Canelo is better than Makabu as it's hard to compare both fighters who are not fighting in the same division, maybe the basis was only the popularity why you said that.
2189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 15, 2021, 08:37:44 PM
I have the Nets 4.5 against the Raptors and so far they are leading by 10 points already.

So 3rd quarter is crucial but I think Durant will not let this one slip away from them. And could easily score 30 points or more in this game and win.

Steph Curry making history at Madison Square Garden but trailing the Knicks 48-47.

Sorry for this loss, but Raptors gave everything and almost snatch this one from the Nets, and you are right that third quarter is very crucial

raptors turned everything to their favor, forcing Nets to rally back on the last quarter to push this game into Overtime, No Kyrie and no Harden

If I bet in this game and I put my bet on the spread, I would not be happy with the result even if the Nets won. LOL, you know what I'm saying, all we care is our bet to win, that's how gamblers think.

still okay, Mills and Claxton step up and help KD to escape this game..
Not okay,  Grin Unless you put a bet on the ML only.
2190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins survive 5 years? on: December 15, 2021, 11:04:27 AM

To hold up to 5 years I only dare to leave 2 coins namely ETH and Cardano, many things are unexpected because currently the competition for cryptocurrencies is very tight, even if we go back to a year ago we will be surprised to see the top 10 now with the top 10 last year. and 5 years is a hard time for us to guess now.
You're actually right. But even Cardano hasn't to make any surprise 5 years from now, of course, ETH is truly possible. I'll go for the top 10 in the market as they are potentially profitable but we can't be confident that all of these coins went well, they're still at risk holding them.
And to assess what OP listed coins, certainly, I doubt them. I think he needs to divert his portfolio before taking the 5 years holding goal.
2191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My crypto lessons in 2021 on: December 15, 2021, 10:09:52 AM
this will be a good experience for you, and like what you said above, in the future you will tell about that story with big smile.
never trust on people you dont know is good than trusting people who tell about something on platform. doesnt mean all bad, but we need to protect from disappointment.

Perhaps, not all have a good experience at the start, but instead, it was really a very challenging beginning that mostly had suffered losses. But despite all of these things like OP had, we even tried to make it right and correct our mistakes. However, that wasn't so easy as many thinks and that much more we feel in great disappointment and got negatively thinking.

when you want to trust a people, trust your close friend who expert on crypto.
Aside from that, you need to trust yourself first. Being confident of what you do is ideal since we are dealing money and so we have nothing to blame.
2192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Machine Learning truly predict Bitcoin's price? on: December 14, 2021, 11:40:11 PM
I was thinking about how it works as I'm not convinced of its effectiveness knowing how volatile is the market. Yes, of course, it was going to believe that it could give some predictions as it was used to be but the problem is that if that was close to it. If that going to happen, then people would love to try it. For now, as it wasn't proven yet that it really works great, that is something in question and possibly people will just forget such an invention but rather use their own TA.
2193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you learn about crypto trading? on: December 13, 2021, 11:56:14 PM
What I've learned most is to be patient and I keep this learning and am able to apply it in the other area.

Yet, it was very hard to control such feelings especially during crisis and sometimes we tend to break them. But based on my experience, it won't give good results but just losses only. We have to keep patient at all cost as this is the only I saw it helps to reach our goal.

2194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My newbie trading experience on: December 11, 2021, 11:22:11 PM
In trading, it's important that you'll have the eagerness and perseverance to learn all the basics of it. It's a good thing that despite losing in the beginning, you're able to recover and double your funds. There are already lots of useful resources that you could find online nowadays so learning the basic strategies isn't that hard though it's still challenging. You couldn't earn a huge profit right away but you could recover through step-by-step learning.
Exactly, the experience was much, the mistakes I made are some of the things that make me do well now.I wouldn't have been able to make the money as I do now if I had not had the experience I had while starting as a newbie.
Despite trying many attempts to trade and I will end up loosing,I didn't give up,I was still trying my best, persevering to get to where I am today, and finally,my perseverance have paid up.
Therefore, we can say that experience is very important in trading. We can just call it the best teacher. Of course, a loss is a part of it, and have nothing to regret committing mistakes as well because from that we are able to learn more and possibly give some insights into what we gonna do next. But to remind that not all have become successful traders, that is also important to assess ourselves if this is really meant for us or not, so we can move on and find a place suitable for us.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 10, 2021, 09:44:15 PM
<<<<  I'm sure he's a brilliant coach, but for whatever reason his style of play does not seem to mesh well with the Lakers roster and I think it's time to either say goodbye to the head coach, or trade Anthony Davis.

I would choose to see a new coach than letting go of Anthony Davis, he proved himself by winning a championship with the Lakers, so he should stay. Besides, it's easier to find a new coach than to look for a good big man, so hopefully, the Lakers will consider this kind of move if they will indeed struggle all throughout the season.
2196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: December 10, 2021, 08:44:07 PM
The current condition of the bitcoin price is still experiencing a very deep correction. bitcoin price even fell 15% in the last week. The correction in bitcoin prices is as investors tend to hold back their risk appetite amid negative sentiment from China.
Based on the price trend, it looks like we are going downtrend and that's inevitable as we enjoyed a bull market in most of this year and some months last year. 15% fall is small compared to the percentage it pumped in the past few months, time for correction so time to relax, be patient and buy more if you feel like adding more value to your investment.
2197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: December 10, 2021, 08:22:30 PM
In trading, losing money is certain.  however, the most important thing is that we minimize the loss.  the best way is to be able to manage and control trades so that they don't get caught up in lust.  I think this is one of the main conditions for trading to keep going and not losing money fast.
Don't minimize the loss, focus on making yourself profitable.

Trading is like having a business, some days you lose money but what's the most important is you make sure in the end you'll be profitable. No one makes money in trading in a daily basis, that's the fact successful traders are making sure they have the consistency which means they have more successful trades than failures as that would result a net profit.

Of course, that means the casino does not do their job and it will affect their reputation.

When we are gambling, we have to make sure that the site we are using has a good reputation as with good reputation that means they are good in taking care of their clients and your money is not at a high risk of losing. In fact, it's the reputation is the most important in the gambling industry for the operators.

Indeed. I am sure no one wants to be on the same shoes of those who were badly served by a certain casino. In relation to that, I do my research and check their reputation, and upon encountering of any pending cases against the casino, I look on the severity and grounds of the accusations, and interactions made between the management and concerned parties. From there you could definitely decide if it’s worth risking to play in the casino or not because it will dictate the performance and intention of the management. After all, it is better to just go and play to safer website.

Some gambling sites have a bad review but it's up to us to evaluate if the review is reliable, so for me, I don't judge easily, in fact some of the gambling sites I'm using has a bad review from some gamblers, but since no gambling site is perfect, I would still gamble and do some precaution just to minimize the risk, and that involves not trusting all your bankroll in the site.

2200  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far can bitcoin price correction go? on: December 10, 2021, 01:04:49 PM
today? it is not about correction because it has been corrected for weeks now , i think what we have now is something similar to what we have last year when there are some group of whales that trying to full and push the market to favor their Money Bagging.
let us not deal with them and continue holding your coin so they will never succeed in their manipulating plans.

Better to think out of the box now, stop following those whales and make your own decision while investing in this market.
A lot of traders losses their money thinking that they are doing the right thing cutting their losses but failed
to assess the right way, thinking that the bottom already been reached but downfall continues to take place.
And in addition to that, these people lead you to their trap. They're not helping us but instead, they are making us a fool.
Whales are manipulating the market and can we think that this current downtrend is because of them. Could be yes or no, but their influence could change the direction of the market and lead to an uptrend motion. I guess we like it but for now, it was still a wild guess when these corrections will stop.
