OK, I am very close to just deciding to close the thread and offer for now.

It states in my OP that you will need collateral for a loan.  Every single request thus far had not qualified.

Please, if you are making a request, read the OP.  If you can't follow those rules, I am fairly certain you won't repay correctly either.  This is ridiculous.

Welcome to the world of BTC. Any smell of money will bring out the scammers every time. People just can't be bothered to read the terms or just hope you will change those terms looking for a quick coin. Makes it tougher on the legit people.

Glad it's solved. Please lock this thread.  Grin
2263  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] The Rule of "No Collateral, No Loan" on: April 25, 2014, 12:25:55 AM
What is considered collateral?

- The best collateral is another crypto-currency, such as Litecoin (also written as LTC).
- Some digital wares such as domain names can be considered as long as the user cannot recover it.
- Small valuable items that can be shipped though the mail - i.e. gold, silver, iphones, etc.
- Large items, such as a motorcycle or guitar can be used if you live close to the person giving you the loan.

What is not considered collateral?

- Items not in hand.  Don't trust a user that promises to give you something *when* they default!  Tracking numbers only show something has been mailed - it could be an empty box.
- Most alt-coins that trade for satoshis are not good collateral as they can become worthless overnight.
- Paypal should never be used - they are anti-bitcoin and will rule against you 100% of the time.
- Most valuable online accounts can easily be recovered by social engineering (the user contacting support to say they were hacked, and regain control of the account)

When should you use Escrow?

 - Never send collateral directly to a newbie offering you a loan, as they are likely to take your coins and disappear.
 - Use only "Hero Members" for escrow - they have a vested interest in the community with the days they have spent here.
 - Do not use a third party escrow service unless hero members can vouch for it - it's too easy to create a website, do a few escrows then disappear with a big balance.  Rinse and repeat.

When considering the trustworthiness of a user, ignore "Posts" as there are schemes that pay a user per post.  A person can make 1,000 useless posts in one day and contribute nothing to the community.  Instead look at the "Activity" number - that gives you a more accurate tally of how involved the user is in the community.

Ignore the sob stories that users post - it's just a scam to get your coins.  If a person really is in such a situation, they can turn to family, friends or other social circles they frequent.  They are just posting in our community because the payment is anonymous and irreversible.

Finally, do not encourage scammers to come here!  Giving out loans to newbies with no collateral, or loans to people with "SCAMMER" under their name are likely to get you negative-repped by other users, like me.   Smiley

We are starting up a small lending business.  If you are in need of BTC, we may be able to help.  Collateral is required except in rare cases.  We can be flexible on payment arrangements, time-frames, etc.  If you are looking for .01 - 3 btc, please feel free to inquire.

Our loans will be personalized to the borrower, we do not have a preset interest rate.  We will set that based upon your collateral type, your trading history, etc.

Loans generally should not be for longer than a month, but that is not a set in stone policy.

Please use third party for collateral.

This can be arranged, adding to OP.  Thank you for the advice.

YW and good luck.

Why didn't you use a third party escrow? Unless someone has phenomenal Trust, never get a loan from AND send collateral to them. This has been covered many times.
2267  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PlusLegit may be a scammer - deal with caution on: April 21, 2014, 01:20:11 PM
For one reason, if he sends first he has seller protection, i don't, false scam accusation, atleast thank me for accepting paypal instead of being butthurt about sending first.

No. I don't know why people persist in this myth but when dealing with Paypal the buyer has more protection by far. Paypal + newbies = terrible idea when used to buy BTC . People can and will charge back.
Well i always request escrow now when making deals so noone gets scammed

Unless that escrow holds things for 120+ days, there is still a risk. I don't know of anyone that will hold that long, I know I wouldn't.
2268  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Hi there. Need 0.0500 BTC for Paypal on: April 21, 2014, 12:09:38 PM
Hi there. New to Bitcoin here. I was looking for somebody that can exchange about 25 dollars BTC. Can send with Paypal, Skrill etc. whatever. Thanx!

Welcome and spend more time reading, you will find out Paypal isn't liked very much here.

2270  Economy / Lending / Re: 3 - 6 BTC Loan - Website / Business Opportunity on: April 21, 2014, 12:54:53 AM
I am looking for an investment / loan of 3  to 6 BTC to pay for the development of a website project/idea I have. The website has great potential for profiting however I am only interested in those seriously interested.

I will provide more details regarding the project upon request however the site has to do with social marketing and Cryptocurrency so there is a large market to go after! I have some alt coins that can be considered collateral.
What are the altcoins?    And how many do you have?
2271  Economy / Lending / Re: [EDU] The Rule of "No Collateral, No Loan" on: April 21, 2014, 12:51:47 AM
Maybe add the accepted collateral requirements as well, have it all in one sticky.

Hello, user PlusLegit may be scammer, first of all he sells 0.025btc (~7days ago) then he writes pm to my 1.3BTC (in 7 days get 1.3btc from nothing, dont make sell topic and just look for buyers? why not to make same sell topic how he made with 0.025btc) buy topic http://prntscr.com/3bftve
Hows sending first is asociated with chargeback ? I dont know, do you ?
Im 99% quaranteed that he looks for victims and he should be neutralised or at least treated as a dangerous user

Profile link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=311710

You will need to post more proof than that.
Sending first to another newbie...... Roll Eyes A little reading time spent in the Scam section and you would see the folly of your ways.
As I see, theres one more scam warning about this user, and think what you want but seriously, to write sucha things like "if u want send me first because of chargebacks" sounds like desperate scammer tryings to get some $$ Cheesy

You need to post your TX ID and any other proof of trade.

2274  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking Loan: Expansion of Mining Operations [Record of Past Loans] on: April 19, 2014, 11:53:46 AM
Okay.  After running some figures I feel that if all maintains for the next three weeks,
your loan would be covered, Howzar.  Send payment when you are ready.

Note to investors:
While current figures show me being able to repay both of these loans on time, I would like to have a note here
regarding if something would for whatever reason delay payment.  If something like a large amount of hardware fails
or similar, then that may cause need for an extension.

If for whatever reason I do become late on a loan, I would like to pay additional interest at the rate of 3% compounded weekly.
How does this sound? As usual, I will post updates in this thread regarding the loans so lenders are not in the dark.

Thanks again.

That's agreeable, keep us posted.
2275  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking Loan: Expansion of Mining Operations [Record of Past Loans] on: April 19, 2014, 05:35:59 AM
Introduction:
I am seeking a loan to purchase another two R9 280x GPUs as well as additional hardware to run these GPUs.
Additional hardware includes:  Risers and Mining Case

I currently have 12,700kh/s in dedicated mining hardware at my disposal which is rented out on Betarigs:
https://www.betarigs.com/rig/2810

This will allow me to repay this loan within a thirty day period.

History of Loans:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=500172.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=524240.0

All these loans have been repaid without the use of collateral.  With over BTC4.25 [if my numbers are right] in loans repaid over the past three months, I have a good record of repayments.

Loan Information:
The loan can be from multiple users, so if you are not up for lending BTC.5, BTC.75, BTC1, smaller amounts are acceptable.  I am interested in procuring at least BTC1.5.  It will be repaid within 30days of the funds clearing, at the latest.  Due to my history here, I would like to keep the interest rate reasonable.  5% for a monthly period.  While it is very likely the loan would be repaid early by at least a week, you are still paid the full 5% on top of your initial investment.

As always, offers are greatly appreciated.

2276  Other / Meta / Re: # BITCOINTALK TRUST RATING SYSTEM IS BROKEN # on: April 18, 2014, 09:18:28 PM

I second that. Negative trust means nothing unless it's from someone you trust directly. (or indirectly?)

It hasn't been damaged from my perspective. None of those are in my trust list or left any reference links.

Thanks guys, your responses means a lot and kind of build me up a bit, especially from you John. Problem is when potential customer is visiting my thread and see red it will scare him off and bout 80% of users don't even bother to look in to the situation and check what the negative is for and who gave it. I think the trust system should be only based on communication between two parties like ebay (you buy something from someone or use their services and then you can leave them feedback accordingly) Just a thought

All but one are in the red to me. I always follow the Trust trail because it's well known anyone can leave feedback for any reason.
2277  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2.6 BTC Loan. on: April 17, 2014, 09:10:23 PM

2278  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2.6 BTC Loan. on: April 17, 2014, 09:05:31 PM
yes, i have readed some post about scams, but i cant take something from a person and dont give it back to him whats belongs to him + precantage for lending.

But, we don't know that and you have no way to prove it either. See the problem?
2279  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2.6 BTC Loan. on: April 17, 2014, 08:47:27 PM
Yes i`m a fresh guy here. but im not willing to steal from other people. If im new and trying to lend some btc i automaticali get "sticer" possible scammer ?

Yep. Read through the Scam section and thank a scammer for screwing things up for everyone.
2280  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 2.6 BTC Loan. on: April 17, 2014, 08:40:06 PM
That`s the problem. I don`t have good collateral for 3 BTC Value.

That's why you won't get the loan. There is nothing to stop you from taking the coins and never returning under this name.
