2301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with the hype on: November 05, 2021, 03:32:10 PM
That should always be a thing to do or else, we face the consequences of losing too quickly. We are not dumb to do that of course, but can't just stop others to fill some space and riding on the hypes or getting in FOMO for they think this could make them rich instantly. I can't be wrong as mostly just fail.
Even in Bitcoin, we also have to be careful with that trend as traps might be set up by whales. Yes, that is likely possible and we should think that first before buying or that you like to put at risk.
2302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going for the Underdog or Not? on: November 05, 2021, 07:20:28 AM
But Instead of risking all $10 on either the underdog nor the favorite athlete if I can't get quality statistics of both fighters I would rather split the $10 unevenly then bet on each fighter this way no matter the outcome I wouldn't be in total loss. Risking all $10 means the statistics of either fighter portrays strength for a sure win otherwise the sharing method is what I adopt
That amount as per example isn't that much and that's why to put that on any fighter or team that you prefer whether it will be against the odds or the other. I don't think that risking $10 would mean a lot but I know that there are countries where that's already that much. But honestly, it's an affordable amount to lose and if there's a big chance for the better odds to place that bet on that fighter then I'll be fine to do that and risk it with a possible high chance of win if the underdog wins.
Yes it depends, because usually I also bet on multiple matches with each bet being more or less $10 from each bet I make, both singles and parlays. But regarding the all-in bet on the last hope with the remaining money, then I think betting on the favorite athlete is the right choice because if you have to go to the underdog at least it requires preparation. This means, when we only have one more chance to double the money, then we only need to look for a favorite athlete with fairly good odds, because then our chances of winning are greater and we can continue betting if we win.
Not a good idea for me, when you say favorites, what I understand is you took an odds like 1.30 as they are likely gonna win, but not all the time. So taking the underdog really requires some balls as a gambler and it wouldn't be hard if you yourself do study the match and analyze it well.

What I learned in sports betting is that don't bet on all the games, choose a game that you think you can win, you know what I'm saying. As they say, it's quality over quantity and that's my simple strategy.
2303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 05, 2021, 06:48:30 AM
Building names so that when the time comes that Casimero will fight Inoue, the market will be big. Casimero's most fight isn't getting good revenues compared to Inoue and that might be the reason for the big to become 70/30 for example to the Filipino. If Casimero will be hyped more, he can demand a 50/50.
Casimero has been building his name too, Inoue might be a little popular but not to popular. However, I think that 70/30 is a little unfair to Casimero as he is also a champion and it would not be a big fight if Inoue would not fight a champion in his division, maybe 60/40 is more justifiable for me.

But before we talk about that, let's wait first for the result of Casimero vs Butler. If he loses it, no Inoue on his next match.
For sure no Inoue, but for sure he will win this fight.
2304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before getting into trading on: November 04, 2021, 11:56:12 PM
Is it really necessary to take a course before getting into trading?
You don't need a trading course. You can learn it yourself by learning it from various sources. There are already many sources that provide information about trading, especially basic information about trading. Just learn it seriously from those sites, everyone can get enough knowledge about trading.

It is easy to learn the basics out from the internet but this couldn't be enough to make a good trade. It is better to have a mentor that would teach and guide us but refrain from joining signal group, a friend of yours, might be your relatives or someone you know already. Might not be necessary but to learn trading alone is really hard, honestly.
For a lot of sources online, it sometimes made you confused on what strategy to follow or not. But I suggest having an actual trading experience as this could give huge learning which is far different from what we have read and watch online.
2305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe BTC can be attacked? on: November 04, 2021, 11:14:45 PM
I just remembered the poly network heist, one of the biggest heist in the history.

Is there also a possibility BTC can be hacked?
If it is, I bet every currency will start to declined.
How safety BTC security for you?

Want to know veterans answers.  Undecided

No. I don't' think so, it is highly unlikely to happen.  Bitcoin is most decentralized and secure crypto currency, there is no incident of hacking attack on Bitcoin network since I started working in crypto back in 2017, though i heard lot of media reports of exchanges being hacked including Binance. It is considered most hack proof Block chain because it is network is constantly reviewed by entire network. thus, attacks on block chain are very  unlikely. The wallets where crypto currencies are held are still vulnerable to attacks.

https://www.bitpanda.com/academy/en/lessons/can-a-cryptocurrency-like-bitcoin-get-hacked-or-shut-down/
There is hacking of Bitcoin's wallet but not the network itself. Yes, and due to the unique codes that the Bitcoin network had used, that is certainly impossible unless if there is someone on the inside who will do it, but I don't think so and I'm not sure if he could do it alone. That is why we don't ever hear such news and with such proof of work, then we can say that Bitcoin is a special project and none of the others could ever compared to it even ETH.
2306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 04, 2021, 05:59:53 AM
Big test for the Knicks tonight.  Gonna play a tough Pacers team on the Pacers home turf.  Knicks took an ugly loss at home the other night I expect them to bounce back.  Also looking forward to the golden state game as well that should be a good late night game as well.  Used to hate watching stepb play but I respect his game.  Dude is tough.
Pacers is really tough, I was also expecting the Knicks to win it but sadly, they can't get the W.
Myles Turner is the player of the game. 29 minutes with 25 points and most of it came from downtown. 7/10 at the 3 point line. Whoa! Are they training him to be one of the big guys who can shoot threes? Brook Lopez or Nikola Jokic type of basketball? Pacers will definitely be stronger if this guy can master his outside shots and it can stretch the floor for LeVert's inside attacks.
Pacers definitely need that win as they don't have a good start, their record now is 3-6, and they are on a 2 win streak. I guess they have already adjusted and found their rhythm because they are winning again, once they'll at the right groove, I'm sure they will keep winning going forward and improve their ranking. Myles Turner is one of the best big men in the NBA, as long as he is healthy, Pacers have a chance to be in the playoffs.
2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 04, 2021, 05:13:10 AM
however, witness the style of Crawford to change stance while moving back and jab hard on Porter’s face repeatedly during the whole fight.

Well, Crawford can really do that because he is fast, but why such a strategy? Do you think he is afraid of the power of Porter, that's why he just wants to take advantage of his speed and just score to win? What about expecting a KO from Crawford, what percent do you think he will get that kind of win?
2308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance promoting Shiba Inu on: November 03, 2021, 10:38:29 PM

There is nothing wrong with the results of the promotion, as long as it doesn't conflict with crypto rules, this makes Shiba even more profitable, even if the promotion has to be paid at a high price, Shiba really wants to prove that they are able to be in a position and the selling price is expensive, so that the promotion pattern must be carried out, this prospect is basically quite good, but let's see the development of the results of the promotion.
And I thought so.
Binance is also doing its part to keep people aware that they are now accepting Shiba Inu and encourage traders or investors to use their platform instead. It is a sort of making awareness and with the use of social media platform contributed a lot which I believe this could gain more profit to both of them. And this to imply that Binance has an influence on the market and gives Shiba Inu a positive perspective, and this is a part of their deal I guess. As they are helping each other, the far it goes and this could picture out that this project seems to have fortune.
2309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making profit with a bubble on: November 03, 2021, 10:09:23 PM

I'm not trying to predict the future, I'm just trying to be honest myself considering that this cycle will come to an end (as always did before), but that could represent an opportunity too, for instance, with a short position opened at the right time (I know that I could appear like a complete fool who is trying to imitate Michael Burry in 2008).

What's your idea about that?

It won't ever last, that is the reality. It had a pump now and it will naturally dump someday, find this a usual market cycle, and we don't just know about this but we are truly aware that this certainly has to come whether we like it or not. That is why it is too risky when buying coins during the hype as there is a huge chance that we lose if we don't sell it when it finally reaches its peak. And in fact, many people had missed their time to do this for they are about to think more pumps to come neglecting the possibility of the sudden correction.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 03, 2021, 11:19:26 AM
Honestly, I don't expect the Rockets to give a tough game to the Lakers but they did well even if they lose.
It's the weakest vs the strongest team in the NBA now, so nobody would expect that they'll win, but for bettors, they understand how the Lakers struggle so far, and putting a bet against the lakers using the handicap betting is a good strategy to win.

Their last two games, rockets cover the handicap.

last night, Lakers is -11 but only won by 2 points... prior to this, Lakers is -11 too but only won by 10 points.

2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: November 03, 2021, 10:27:39 AM
The only people who benefit from fixed matches are bookies and players.
There are also some gamblers that benefits in fixed matches and those are the gamblers that close to the Kitchen

I wouldn't want to be one of them, tbh. This world of criminals is better to be avoided. We all know that in gambling the higher the stakes the more risk is involved. But in a fair game what you are risking is your money, while if you are "close to the Kitchen", as you put it, you are risking your health, your freedom, and even your very life. Regardless of the potential profit, it's not worth it.
Same here, that would put our lives at risk as that means you are part of a big criminal that kills people. This is a syndicate that's job is to fix games, they paid people to do it or will kill them if they won't follow, no way we will live a healthy life associating with these people.

That's why it's better to learn how to win in a clean way than getting a guaranteed win but putting your life and even your family at risk of getting killed.
2312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Does BTC growing faster?? on: November 02, 2021, 10:43:59 PM
Bitcoin value grow faster just because are more people adopting it on a daily basis and that make the demand curve higher than the supply curve. Bitcoin price will continue to grow because as more people adopting it the higher its market value because Bitcoin supply is limited and that alone is a strong sign that it will continue to grow. Why people believe in Bitcoin as compared to others is because of the people has for Bitcoin.
The growth of any coin will definitely base from its own adoption and how the community reacts or benefits from it. No wonder bitcoin is growing faster than any crypto coin because it dominates the crypto market in the first place and so its even gaining more recognition from its users and holders. And with the blockchain technology that bitcoin brought to us, there is a big assurance that bitcoin is safe and more secured having it as an investment and as a currency. But behind all those positive things about bitcoin, there has never been a guarantee that it will always grow forever. It has its own pump and dump season so its price will be in constant change. However, despite of its volatility, bitcoin value will always lead into a more greater value and will definitely won't stay dumping for a long time.
It becomes special among others and one of the fastest-growing coins in the market. But we can't eliminate the volatile nature of the market and make things before unpredictable. The UPs and DOWNs is very usual to see in Bitcoin (that is probably because of the changes in regards to demand and supply) but above all of these things, it becomes more interesting and the people are also hopeful for their future.
2313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 02, 2021, 01:40:59 PM
Here's my pick for tomorrow's game:

Jazz vs Sacramento - I think the Utah Jazz can cover the spread -7.5 here.
I like this pick, Jazz are 2-0 at home and they are also 2-0 ATS at home.
The spread is high but Jazz could get a double digit win here.

Good luck to us.

Houston vs Lakers - with the way Lakers are playing, -9.5 or even as high as -10.5.

Good luck to all bettors.

I'll pass, Lakers are so consistent, last time they met, Lakers were -11 but they only won by 10 points because they allow the Rockets to rally in the 4th.
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 02, 2021, 01:12:50 PM

As the Nuggets went to a bad loss against the Grizzlies it reminded me to check about Jamal Murray. This is from October 12 news though.
Quote
“Just five months ago, I couldn’t lift my leg off the bed,” Murray said recently. “So, I’ve come a long way. But even when I do certain things, I’ve got to remind myself that I can’t do it to the speed or the level that I want to do it. … That’s just going to come with time. And I can’t rush time.”
Quote
“He’ll come back when he’s ready,” said Tim Connelly, the team’s president of basketball operations. “Not when we tell him, not a date on the calendar. Only he will know when he’s ready. And we’re at zero rush.”
https://www.nba.com/news/nuggets-must-continue-to-soldier-on-without-injured-jamal-murray
The truth about mental problems after injuries. It sucks to be in that position.

That's true, we cannot expect that we will see the same Murray once he comes back as he might have healed his physical injury but mentally there's still some fear of getting reinjured and he might not be as aggressive as he was before. I hope that they will come back this season, it doesn't matter if after the regular season as long as he will be in the playoffs as Nuggets really needs his service.

Let's hope he will recover soon, but as per report, he is still listed as "out indefinitely."
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/how-long-is-jamal-murray-out-injury-timeline-return-date-latest-updates-on-nuggets-star/7gfy79brp6jh1toue98qiwyri

Nuggets certainly missed him already, they have some struggle now losing with huge points against a team that is not even a championship caliber. Jokic will remain the main man of the team but we know they are lacking without someone that could consistentyl provide some support to him.
2315  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $100,000 in December? on: November 01, 2021, 11:43:15 PM
Because most of my friends believe that BTC reached 100,000 US dollars in December, so I want to discuss whether this is true Grin
Your friends believe are just based on assumption that has no base which I believe is just a mere speculation that has no back evidence to support it. Although, Bitcoin may hit another all time high before end of this year but that doesn't mean it will reach $100k before December ending of this year. Not possible.
Yes, $100k is yet too far at this time,  might $70k or $80k be the most possible reach if there is another ATH this year. We can be in such optimistic and you're right, it never makes sense if there is no basis and in fact, we want realistic, not fantasy.
Anyways, we make fun of doing this, everything is unpredictable and I understand that some people have been so optimistic but bear in mind that we don't have to expect more because it will only give us frustration when we got wrong.
2316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 01, 2021, 11:37:32 AM
LA Lakers almost allow the Rockets to come back, what kind of team this is?

I don't know if they can survive against a tougher team when they cannot even completely dominate the weaker team.
I just don't like how they played but despite that, I'm still happy as I won my bet, I was expecting a low-scoring game, and boom! just exactly what I thought.
IMO, that's okay as long as they win. It's difficult chemistry from new guys. 3 guys where left in the Lakers team and all are traded for someone else.
Lebron, Anthony Davis, and THT.
After 20 games. That's when I would like to see some changes in their chemistry. We could see a little bit of it but it's always not enough for a winning team.
I like how Westbrook is being consistent in his stats but those errors that he had been making should be minimized.
He might knew it already but someone should still bring it up every game for him to remember.

I'm just disappointed a bit as I was thinking they'll continue their dominance in the 2nd half but they don't have the consistency. Rockets are a bad team now, a good team like the Lakers could easily dominate them but they have to understand that the 4th quarter is always the most important quarter in a game. Maybe I just can't forget what OKC did in the 2nd half to the LA Lakers.

2318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors desire on meme coins are insane on: October 31, 2021, 11:43:19 PM
I'd never think that was insane but obviously, they are just riding on the hypes and making a profit for their short stay. In fact, many investors are doing this, they are called short-term investors and this is mostly what they are doing and it is a risky decision yet profitable.
Early investors had made a huge profit of 1000%, that is something more insane, right? Well, they are happy with the result and you just found yourself being late.
2319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shocked to discover Trezor T doesn't support my ALT Coins !! on: October 29, 2021, 08:10:39 PM
...

I will contact Trezor but I think it's pointless since the search on their Trezor site is where I got all this info. Also, they took 3 weeks to get back to me last time I tried to reach them.
That is really disappointing to have a poor support system like this. This is certainly not recommendable to others knowing how long we got their response and in fact, it was just a simple question and querries but none of them had given help to enlighten their users.

Quote
So what do you people think ??  Is Trezor totally useless to me now ? Did I waste my money on this and now I discover it doesn't support any of my tokens ??  Huh

Not totally a waste of money coz you can still make use of it but somehow, it seems very frustrating that it never supports all the coins that you have. I'm not sure if they have sent warnings in regards to that but at least it makes it available to those who want to know the reason why and
so they could still find it and clear their minds.
2320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TV Commercials & How they attracting more clients in crypto industry. on: October 29, 2021, 07:35:43 PM
This is a part of the global development, we received more information and awareness of what things happen around through social media, TV announcements/commercials, and etc. But even though we know how it gives influence to the minds of the viewers and readers, we can never say that all of us will agree and easily believe what they say. Yes, it won't as many needed some proof before they fully believe, and this is what happens to crypto. They have heard this but look, only a few individuals had got the attention and taken the risk while the rest are waiting until someone could verify it.
