2341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 31, 2022, 03:33:45 PM
The question is, will Bob Arum will push his cash cow to face either Fulton or Akhmadaliev right away after moving up?

Naoya Inoue is really a monster but we have to consider also that most of his fights are based on his homeland, Japan.

I don't know if his potential as a monster will still be seen if the crowd is against to him or not dominated by the Japanese audiences.
I am confident Bob Arum is willing to risk his 3-division star against any of the 122 champs. WBA/IBF champion Akhmadaliev is easier to make as WBO/WBC champion Fulton is with PBC.

So far Inoue fought in Japan, the UK, and the US only. Can't blame him though since Japan is a very rich country and is capable of bringing big fights like the US and UK.

About Casimero, he should just wait instead for Inoue to move up as when the Champion now leaves the Bantamweight, Casimero has a chance to dominate that division hehe.
I agree Casimero should discipline himself and stay at 118 so he can inherit any of the belts once Inoue moves up.
2342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 31, 2022, 03:06:49 PM
So according to Oscar De La Hoya, the promoter of Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez believes that his protege will stop Dmitry Bivol and then proceed into a mega all-Mexican fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. De La Hoya believes that Bivol countered Canelo very well because the Mexican superstar only threw single punches at a time. De La Hoya mentioned that Zurdo will be throwing combinations that will deter Bivol's plan to counter. And lastly, he also believes that Zurdo is too big and strong and he can knock out Canelo.

We'll see how De La Hoya's assessment in this fight fares. It is true though that Zurdo being an underdog can add extra fire and determination to train harder.

That's how the statement should be since Zurdo Ramirez is under the Golden Boy Promotions. Therefore, expect that all positive statement will always favor their boxer. If Dela Hoya's pre-match analysis will happen or not, only we can find it out on the day of the match.

As much as I favor Bivol to win this match, it's not that I consider Ramirez a heavy underdog even bookies are telling us how far the distance between them is.

There's a slight adjustment though on Ramirez's odds from 4.30 to 3.90 as of this post.

I thought De La Hoya won't risk Zurdo against the likes of Bivol. I know De La Hoya is grooming fighters to break Finito Lopez's 51-0. I was thinking Zurdo will wait until a mandatory status with 3-belt champion Artur Beterbiev is called. Beterbiev is very dangerous but he is turning 38 and sooner than later he will lose to someone if he won't retire. GBP and Zurdo are confident after accepting this fight.

Although I am rooting for a Bivol victory I also do not agree with the huge underdog status of Zurdo. Now it is 3.80 for Zurdo.
2343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2022, 02:18:45 PM
Crazy start of the NBA season. I'm losing badly once again with my bets. So far it's only the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, and Phoenix Suns that are consistent. While Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, and San Antonio Spurs are to a great start although it is still too early to tell. Many expected top teams are struggling too with Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers at the bottom. If this trend continues, I expect more trades to happen before the deadline.

Happy First Bitcoin Pumpkin Everyone!!!

It's simple but I was having fun doing this. I also had a watermelon since it is bigger and easier to carve but I in the end I just went for the small pumpkin. It's hard to carve when our variety of pumpkins here is only 4 inches long and very thick inside. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Hello guys.

Sinave ko itong link na-share ni @tvplus006. 2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Among all which do you hold on: October 28, 2022, 08:25:31 AM
Just like most of you, I also prioritized my holdings on bitcoin, ethereum and binance but I do have nearly 10 more coins that I am holding or planning to become part of my accumulation before the next major bull season.

Trading versus holding obviously benefits the good trader as it will end up accumulating more from its regular gains. The problem is, are you a good trader? I trade for many years already and I felt like I am only good at it during a bullish season, so I now just focused on holding and slowly accumulating. It's stress-free and less hassle while I can do jobs that pay me money which I can use to accumulate bitcoin and some selected altcoins.
2349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 28, 2022, 08:02:26 AM
^  I heard some rumors swirling around that Jones vs Miocic isn't really happening and that it doesn't really make much sense from Jones point of view. If the UFC is gonna match Jones with Miocic, it has to be a main event.  But then again in what kind of event?  A PPV with no belt on the line?  And they can't make it a co main event either as Jones would prolly not want a fight that's not a main event or without a belt.  Dunno...  But judging from Jones' history of dealing with the UFC, the rumor makes sense.  There could be some truth in it.

A few days ago I encountered news of Jones claiming to fight Miocic at UFC 282 which is on December 10. I think UFC 282 is clearly to be headlined by the rematch between Prochazka and Teixeira, so maybe Jones is now willing to fight as an undercard as long as it guarantees a title fight or main event next. Although the date is less than 2 months already and we do not even know if Miocic agrees to a late notice fight. I've been following athletes on Facebook and Twitter and it seems Miocic is not in serious training mode. Obviously, Miocic would've signed a contract earlier if he is keen on fighting this December.
2350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 28, 2022, 06:22:37 AM

Crawford is really in an odd situation if he remains a free agent. He is not Canelo that can easily jump to any promoters and networks but still dictates everything in the deal. If he fights the WBO number 1 contender, the undefeated banger Vergil Ortiz Jr., it will be promoted by Golden Boy and DAZN will televise it. Highly risky for Bud with no legacy returns except money. Ortiz is a superstar in the making. Huge fanbase and is a very charismatic guy. I believe Crawford-Ortiz will beat all of Spence's previous PPV buys. But Crawford can also move up to 154 and hunt for his 4th division title but he seriously needs a promoter to depend on.

I'm also thinking the same way, I also thought that a unification fight between Crawford and Spence is the next thing to happen when Bud haven't re-sign with Bob Arum. We all know that Arum is not inclined in these situation but without him, Crawford's alone and nothing to lean on in these times, also his situation has gotten worse because Spence's camp is playing on him. He badly needed a promoter and Mayweather is there ready to accept Bud under his banner to help him in the business side. I hope he will seek help to make this happen because he is getting older.

Aside from that, I think it's much better for him to fight Charlo in 154 pounds rather than risking his career for getting nothing while fighting the #1 contender, Ortiz.

Yeah, Mayweather really wants to sign Bud. The problem with Mayweather Promotions nowadays is it is just becoming one of the dummy promotions for PBC who's hiding under a managerial license. Mayweather is not the same guy anymore that wanted his promotion to become big like De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions. And we also do not know how much Bud trusts Mayweather knowing the guy is a very close friend to Spence's team like Ellerbe his former manager and Al Haymon the owner of PBC.

Jermell Charlo the undisputed champ of 154 is from PBC too and he already said that he won't give Bud a shot at his undisputed belts. Charlo a very close friend of Spence wants Bud to work his way up to the rankings and earn his shot. So Bud can either get a tune-up at 154 or request the WBO to give him a shot at the WBO 154 belt which Charlo can vacate if it's still reluctant. It seems like these boys of PBC are trying to stop Bud from becoming the first-ever undisputed champion in 2 (Spence at 147) or 3 (Charlo at 154) divisions in this 4 belt era.

Money-wise DAZN has the deepest pocket in boxing right now. They got the biggest money-makers in boxing Canelo, AJ, Usyk, and potential future superstars Vergil Ortiz and Ryan Garcia. Bud can sign with them but it might also mean no more Spence and Charlo.

Really? I didn't know that Crawford's situation is much deeper than what I've thought. That's indeed too bad because all his years are wasted being under Bob Arum's management because Bob didn't let Bud build his legacy. Now, he is being rejected to have a shot in an undisputed fight both in welter and super welter. But I don't understand, why is it a bad idea if Bud sign under DAZN? Enlighten me mate.

To be fair, Bob Arum did his job well. Legacy-wise, Crawford's credentials are also assured in the Hall of Fame once he retires, unlike Spence who needs to work more on his career if he wants to be remembered and enters the Hall of Fame. Good friends Spence and Charlo avoiding Crawford is more of a personal and political issue.

If Crawford signs with DAZN, the network might not allow Showtime or Fox to solo-televise a possible Crawford-Spence or Crawford-Charlo. DAZN will want a joint network deal which is normal when 2 superstars collide like Pacman-Mayweather televised via HBO and Showtime. Last year, PBC's undefeated WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (Jermell's twin) and undefeated former champion Jaime Mungia of Golden Boy Promotions failed to materialize because PBC do not want a joint promotion deal. PBC wanted to solo promote the event and a rematch clause if Charlo losses but they will let GBP solo promote the possible rematch. PBC is the hardest to work with when it comes to co-promotion fights. Thus Crawford signing with DAZN might mean goodbye to Errol Spence and Jermell Charlo fights.

But personally, if I were Crawford, I will talk to Matchroom and signs a deal if possible.
2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2022, 05:47:07 AM
For around 2 years, PSG LGD line-up remained intact. Now, I expect another change after their weakest TI finish in years.

I think Faith_bian expressed that he will be retiring after this TI, so we will expect a change in PSG.LGD roster. There are still a few months before the next DPC season will start, so we may know before that who will replace Faith_bian or if there will be a rebuilding of the whole roster.  I think PSG.LGD is still strong even if they keep the 4 of the current rosters and just replace faith_bian.

Yes, Faith_bian is just one of the players that are retiring this year. We already had Somnus and Matumbaman mentioning earlier that TI Singapore is their last.

And after T1 parted ways with coach March and didn't renew Kuku and Xepher's contracts. I want Kuku to shift his position into a support role if he wants to continue playing. And just after I woke up earlier, I saw a new post from Whitemon on FB saying "LFT". It seems like Whitemon will leave T1 then.

I also took a bet on underdog Liquid to avenge their 0-2 defeat from Aster in the first round of the upper bracket.

Well honestly I wouldnt think of Liquid being an underdog even more at this stage. My top 2 teams for the TI is Secret and Liquid so I would love if both of them ended up in grandfinals so that we'll have another two times TI champion. That is going to be pretty exciting

The big break makes this duel even more equal. And 2.02 for Liquid is very attractive while Aster is at 1.71.

Yeah, I really love to see the 2 last qualifying teams duking it out in the finals. And this is Matu's last TI too, and reaching the finals or even winning the Aegis would be the greatest feeling ever before his retirement. Personally, though I want Puppey and Team Secret to win this TI.
2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 28, 2022, 05:04:48 AM
8 more days before this big fight at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates happens.

2353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 28, 2022, 04:06:51 AM
Lakers on a 25 to 30 win this season doesn't look like a bold prediction. It's actually closer to reality hehe. Maybe they need some pep talk from guys like Tony Robbins so they stop doubting themselves and lift whatever curse they have. I heard the Warriors hired him during their first championship run.

If their line-up remains like this the whole season then that win numbers prediction is realistic. The Lakers have too many PGs now in Westbrook, Nunn, Schroeder, and Beverly while they are short of the other positions. But I cannot really say that the Lakers won't improve later this season seeing their losses aren't really that bad. Teams like the Nets, Heat, and 76ers are struggling this early season too but I expect them to gain their momentum soon and start winning again. Although I am less confident about the Lakers compared to the teams I mentioned.
2354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Countries that are Legal and Illegal in gambling on: October 27, 2022, 01:30:26 PM
My first reaction was about Greenland as part of North America. Over the years I was thinking it was a part of Europe just like Iceland and it is also a part of Denmark a European nation. Now I know.

Now back to the topic, I think OP's list of 10 countries where gambling is illegal means online gambling? Singapore is one of my favorite places to visit and I saw many gambling casinos there. The last time I visited there were just a few months before the start of the COVID pandemic and the casinos are still there. I heard it is strictly regulated especially to its locals but it is legal. The Marina Bay Sands a very popular landmark of Singapore has a casino too.
2355  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education seems to have failed in some developing country on: October 27, 2022, 12:45:51 PM

back in the days where big businesses in town subsidized the kids of their employees to go to school but when big businesses are compromised by unions, it shuts down. kids suffer to listen to apathetic teachers.

government has got a lot of things to intervene including education as a priority in building a nation. not just in Nigeria but in many different countries, education has failed especially when teachers are not paid well.

You can't blame education for unemployment. Lack of opportunities is also an essential factor for unemployment. If there aren't sufficient opportunities for educated people, it will result in unemployment. So, yes, you are correct that education does not guarantee jobs and can never secure employment. Still, it supports finding a good opportunity that fits your skillset and education.

Somehow teachers getting paid well also matters when it comes to the quality of education. There was also a moment when in my country government teachers were bypassed and their salaries remained low compared to other professions. What happened is our graduates are not that standard anymore compared to the graduates of the previous years. And I also noticed that smart people won't choose a teaching career because it is becoming cheap. Although we do have teachers' board exams, I felt like they are really not that hard to pass. Teachers are the backbones of the future so this profession should be taken care of.

With regard to unemployment, most of the time the educated ones have the advantages over the non-educated ones. In business, the educated ones are also at an advantage most of the time.
2356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: October 27, 2022, 12:25:29 PM
Pretty sure I do not want to wait long when I want to withdraw my own money. I expect my withdrawals to be just as fast as when I deposited my funds in a casino to make it fair. Second is the very slow response from customer support. Nobody wants to wait for hours for our questions, concerns, and issues to get answered and resolved. I applied for a fast internet connection because I am also annoyed to see pages and websites I am browsing load for 30 seconds to a minute. So this is also the same when I am in an online casino, I want it to be fast too. The last one is probably a bad interface, I like staying in a sleek and cool-looking casino because it also sets my mood.
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 27, 2022, 11:55:44 AM
Seeing the poll in this thread really surprised me that there's a lot here who believes that Bivol will win by a way of knockout or TKO rather than by decision and totally Bivol garnered 20 votes, 8 for that is by a decision over Ramirez's total of 10 votes. This is going to be interesting to see 10 days from now, two heavy names in the LHW contesting to fight the 3-belt holder Artur Betierbeiev if he can win his title defense fight too.

Right, maybe fans here wanted to see a Bivol vs Beterviev match in the future, unification fight in LHW. And although Ramirez is a good fighter, Bivol has the complete set of tools amongst the LHW, very quick, volume puncher and good defense and IQ too. And that's why he is a fan favorite here in our community, and his personality as well, he is not that brandish and has a sense of rumor. Remember after beating Canelo to look at Eddie Hearn and says "sorry for defeating Canelo", hehehe.

People really like Dmitry Bivol's personality. He is humble and honest, and unlike many boxing stars, Bivol is a no bs guy and straight to the point.

I don't know if Gilberto Ramirez is yet to taste the canvas but I really believe that Bivol is capable of hurting him. Bivol is not a KO artist but he was a KO artist before he fell in love with utilizing his boxing skills which is safer than just trading bombs with his opponents. In this fight, I see Bivol as the faster and more intelligent guy than Zurdo. Although we cannot just count out Zurdo too, Bivol was already hurt before and who knows the Mexican can also do that.

Also, some of the players that got eliminated from TI are starting to leave their teams the roster changes are looking spicy and i've heard some rumors about Nightfall leaving EG as he's planning to form a team with Torontotokyo.
This is just a rumor and not yet official but it seems that it's very possible and usually, we already get to see those roster shuffles every after TI when a team isn't successful with their run.

It is Torontotokyo wants to play with Nightfall and that's possible since both teams of these two, EG and Team Spirit didn't ended up with a good run with this TI.

There's a likely that this might be true. A lot of good potential teams to come out like, there's Topson who would like to go back on EU while ana, we usually know that this guy only becomes active every near TI season.

Kuku and Xepher has already expressed their interest in looking for a new team.

A disappointing performance would likely change some of its line-ups. Team Spirit as a defending TI champion and exited in the first round of the lower bracket is unacceptable. I honestly think Torontotokyo is the weakest of the line-up.

EG's run in the group stage was unexpected and would've saved their team to remain intact after a bad season. But after getting zeroed in their 2 bracket games, a change will obviously come. I'd been wanting to see Bulba getting out of EG for years now.

Kuku and Xepher's contracts aren't renewed. Although this is also expected. Kuku before the official announcement already posted about the possible end of his stunt with T1 and his willingness to test the other markets.

For around 2 years, PSG LGD line-up remained intact. Now, I expect another change after their weakest TI finish in years.

...Is there any website that collects all the upcoming blockchain project and offer testnet with rewards? ..

I bring to your attention a blog that I myself use to perform tasks in the test network https://airdropclaimers.medium.com/ which publishes current tasks for the testnet and contains a guide for their implementation. I think that following the guide, you will be able to complete the tasks yourself, even if you have not done this before.

Thank you for sharing this mate. I thought it is yours. If only I have plenty of extra time I will be hunting for these kinds of tasks. Nonetheless, I will be following this page for future use and I will also share this with my friends that are not that busy with their lives. I'm really amazed at how many ways to earn here in crypto as long as someone is hard-working and most of these are free anyways. The Aptos rewards got me really curious about testnets which I just ignored before.

Jake Paul and his brother are influencers and they have huge followers on Youtube and other social media apps. I think they are one of the most popular social media celebrities. And when you're popular and do something, your fans will follow and support you in any activities and sports you do. It's not like Jake Paul is a special kind of fighter, he is just a celebrity and most of his fans aren't fight fans. I don't even know a real fight fan interested in Jake Paul unless they get something in return like the boxing media, promoters, and networks.

It's like Justin Bieber and BTS doing an exhibition match. Of course, they will collect millions from PPV buys from their huge fan base. And this is the same reason why networks are willing to cater to them. This is business anyways.
