The link seems to be invalid, do you know the prices? I would not buy those, I prefer to build my rig myself, I am just curious
You need first to click yourself to the Chinese part of the www.bitmain.com, then those links should work. Prices are 18700 CNY and 19700 CNY for the G1 and G2, respectively. That translates to $2862.43 and $3015.51.
Yeah, it is about in the same price category with the Pandaminer.

After shipping cost it is probably going to end up being more expensive to buy the Delta fan from Bitmain than the Sanyo fan from Amazon. And the shipping time with Bitmain can be pretty long.. Shipping within 20 working days after fully paid .

..they are the only competitor of Bitmain
Nope. Ebang: http://miner.ebang.com.cn/BW.com : www.bw.com (large orders only, not sure if they sell btc hardware at the moment) I had to go to Ebang and buy some Ebit E9 Plus miners after the forum group buy got frozen.

Yeah, do not believe anything until they publish something about new hardware at www.baikalminer.com
its not the physical controller that dictates if it is auto tune or not. That is all in the software.
Yes. This, exactly.
Ouch. So Canaan is going to do exactly as BW.com is doing when it comes to selling miners. Large quantity orders only.

If this is just about need to control frequency and fan speed manually, then you can try my trick that I have posted earlier in the S9 and R4 threads : This was done with R4. I have no autotune S9 to test it. This is also S9 related, so I thought to share this here as well. If there is someone with a desire for non-autotune settings, be brave and please report if you get same results as I had Originally posted in the R4 thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1597639.msg18267781#msg18267781Well, this is an interesting find and I thought I'll share it with you. I had a problem booting my Antminer R4 8.0 Th/s, batch 2, autotune-model. So I went looking in here: Bitmain.com: Three Ways to Restore Factory Settings (R4/S9/T9) https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957I used the last option in the list, IP Reporter button restore. Usage: Please power off the miner, then hold down the IP Reporter and don’t release it. At the same time, please power on the miner. Releasing the IP Reporter after 5 seconds, the machine will automatically restore factory settings. My miner restored with firmware Aug. 9 2016 and autotune settings were gone. I am now suddenly able to control frequency and custom fan settings. This was not my original problem, but I'm happy with it. My original problem was that the miner jammed somehow in the booting process and didn't even show up in my router ip list.

I'm mining at Prohashing.com with my scrypt ASICs.

If your electrical wall socket is only single point plug, you could have a 2x C13 connectors power cord. Make sure that the power cord is manufactured with thick enough wires and therefore proper amp rating for your use. Here is one example to get the picture https://www.arp.de/en/arp-y-power-cord-schuko-2x-c13-4107113-5168788 this is with 2x C13 connectors and Type F "schuko" in the other end.

There is no point trying to estimate the batch sizes when there are so many different manufacturers, batches, and other variables included.
We simply cannot predict the network future for Dash, etc., it's even harder than weather forecast for example.
Don't get blinded by the lust for miner hardware.

Let's hope they have some new announcements coming up soon ... Did you find out something about Canaan plans that we don't know yet? If he did, he's probably under an NDA. M Good point. But if there is anything you can tell us, I'm listening.

Why are you asking it in the bitcoin hardware section? Wrong area.
Go to the altcoin section ---> Mining (altcoins).
There is an existing L3+ thread by Bitmain where you can ask your questions, no need for a new thread.

No.
Use invididual PCI-E cables for all connectors.
You should have one more modular PCI-E cable to use it in the power supply's "VGA3" connector
