3101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 21, 2021, 03:02:14 PM
Next year, his time will be devoted to politics, so no time to train in boxing and if he wins, we know what to expect about his journey in boxing.

It's time for him to say goodbye, but not too early, lol... I have a feeling that even how popular he is in the Philippines, he would not win in the election and boxing fans would not allow that as they want him to continue fighting to bring glory to the country through boxing.
Lol he is already a Successful Senator of the Philippines so how come that he will not Win when he already does several time from Congressman to Senatorial position.
and also Filipino are not short minded people mate, they will vote because of His performance being politician and not because he is a Boxing legend.

It's hard to debate on politics as we have our own opinion, successful for others does not mean it's successful to you or to us.. For me, Pacquiao does not have enough knowledge and qualifications to be in a higher office, and as a senator now, I have not even seen him so active in the Senate. IMO, he only wins because he is popular in boxing, unlike our current president which won because of his good performance when he was still a Mayor.

There is no doubt that Pacquiao is generous as he has tremendous amounts of money. With his character also, there is also no doubt that he is a good person but in terms of qualifications of being a President of our country, I think there are other people who are far qualified compared to him. If Pacquiao aims to help people by pursuing presidency, then he could always help but without attaining such position.

As far as I know, I heard that Pacquiao mentioned that his fight with Ugas will be his last fight- that is why he is telling everyone to watch his fight tomorrow!
3102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL- Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: August 20, 2021, 04:03:08 PM
Have you guys seen the recent announcement of Stewie2K on his possible shifting from CSGO to Valorant? What do you guys think would be the effect on this on the CSGO scene if this change happens in the future? With that in mind, I do think that if he does continue with his plan of switching, this would also enable most players from the CSGO competitive scene to decide on switching to Valorant. With a player of his caliber, I do think that he will be able to adapt quickly with this set-up.

If you guys are curious about this discussion, feel free to check this link here: https://www.oneesports.gg/valorant/stewie2k-teases-switch-to-valorant/?fbclid=IwAR3pxV70NGqNNNIoz2qnRWufH6qvGAroqbTkhcN_e-s9k6w9vc8Bl76nv6M
3103  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: August 20, 2021, 03:50:12 PM
My last source of online income is signature campaigns, I've been in one for quite a while and I wish I had more time to post more, but I do not, I'll prefer to not post crap all around the forum just to get my post count up.

I have previously shared my experience with this but let me share it again:

Living in a third-world country is very challenging especially if you're brought up by single father of 5. When I first joined this forum, I had nothing on my pocket. When I got the opportunity to participate in campaign signatures back in 2018, this enabled me to fund for my own school resources and books. With this, my dad was able to prioritize my younger siblings with the money "supposedly" allocated to me.

Now, the BTC that I receive weekly from campaign signatures is relatively high especially on my current state. While receiving $65/week may not be too much for some people, to me, it's everything as it indirectly helped supporting my family as well.
3104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all your assets, Investing in Bitcoin is really a madness or beneficial ? on: August 20, 2021, 03:42:29 PM
Depends on how you see it but I would actually advise that a person must at least invest into cryptocurrency. Its price history is one of those factors that keeps my motivation burning. Even when I see dips on its price, I always look at the price history and its current price.

Now, if a person thinks that investing into BTC is madness, then he/she has really no clue on what cryptocurrencies are. With the fork of BTC happening in a few years from now (following the trend of all forks), its price may skyrocket once again.
3105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep casino tokens or sell for new investment? on: August 20, 2021, 01:43:58 PM
It really depends on your current goal. If you are not in a rush and you prioritize long-term investments, then it's better to keep those casino tokens. But if you also feel like there is an opportunity to invest on an altcoin, then do not hesitate to liquidate all of your casino tokens.

Casino tokens were created primarily for the gambling platform that you play in. Without any movement or anything at all, it is better to dispose them and convert them to cash to purchase another investment- but then again, it depends on your priority at the moment.
3106  Economy / Economics / Re: Die today, Die tommorrow, the same dying! still get vaccinated! on: August 19, 2021, 03:43:49 PM
2. Leave all your financial assets and trust it to your family or closed one especially your BTC. They can't get your BTC once you die accidentally.

I think this point that you raised deserves to be seen specifically.

The problem with BTC unlike in any other investment instruments available, once a person passes away, all of his remaining BTC would be stored in storages forever. The only way in order to gain access to it is by having the private key- in which the owner has it. Without it, those BTCs are locked forever. That is why, always have a contingency especially if you are holding large amounts of BTCs.
3107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some individuals hostile to Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2021, 02:31:18 PM
For some time now I have constantly come across prominent individuals in society sponsoring hate speech against Bitcoin, most surprisedly These individuals either own traditional financial platforms such as banks and they are expected to be knowledgeable in investment and financial transactions and processes that seek to eliminate all the security challenges faced in the banking system through blockchain technology which give end-to-end encryption that guarantees a high level of security.

What are their motives could it be that they are just anti Bitcoin or attacking Bitcoin because it is a competitor that will soon push them out of business.

Unfortunately, the people that are hostile to BTC are also the ones who invested during the ATH of it on the last quarter of 2018 then proceeded to sell it when its price dropped on the first quarter of 2019. Mostly, these people blindly invest into it without doing their research. They just ride the 'hype train' without even knowing what they are investing on.

There will always be hostilities against something innovative. As an analogy, some people were hostile and against the creation of vaccines. They tend to believe what others say without even conducting proper research on their end.
3108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dollarydoos - The New Official Currency of Australia on: August 19, 2021, 02:09:57 PM
Hi, good day!

Can you please provide more information about the said project? I saw that you started selling your tokens but your website seemed to lack the important details so far. In addition, when can we expect the publishing of the project's whitepaper? I am very much curious about the project and I would like to read more about it. Lastly, I would also suggest if you could provide pictures of your team members in order to validate further the authenticity of this project, thanks!
3109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: August 19, 2021, 02:00:54 PM
All this talk about finding help seems a little hypocritical in here if we think about it. Most of us, talk about gambling addiction and then have a crypto casino signature in place. So to quote the movie The Untouchables, Al Capone here on this thread would comment "You're nothing but a lot of talk and a badge".
I'm not saying we shouldn't remind everyone here around the dangers of gambling but still I don't see the point of the thread.

While I do agree with some points you raised, having a signature promoting gambling does not ipso facto convert a person from supporting fully gambling. We are all entitled to our respective opinions and threads like these promote awareness and support from gamblers who are suffering from addiction.

Regardless if we are promoting a gambling website or not, the concern of gambling addiction should be addressed no matter what as this has serious detrimental effects on a person. Having this open forum where people can share their tips/experiences is definitely beneficial in the long run.
3110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: August 16, 2021, 04:47:41 PM
Well am not sure if it's a really good idea that the government is earning from all the gambling companies and during the pandemic they did increase the tax, by a hell lot therefore I do think that they don't have a moral ground for doing that.

The countries with Muslim dominated population are the ones which are trying to force the religion onto people and I did see a post where there were photos from south Arabia showing people gambling.

Regulations are good but only when they are not exploiting the very industry that they are gaining the profit from.

I think the moral ground in order to validate the government's move of increasing their tax on gambling is for their expenditure. Like what I previously mentioned, taxes are what enables the government to function and to provide projects for the community. Given that gambling, in general, is widespread popular, it is evident and obvious that they would have to increase the taxes by a lot.

Regulations are definitely good as long as they do not exceed or destroy a business activity. Any regulation that restricts or provides unreasonable fees has the potential of destroying businesses in the country- in which the government would also suffer during the process.
3111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Doesn't it teach, BTC Price will never go down if we won't force it to go down? on: August 16, 2021, 04:15:24 PM
Those actions had their influence on BTC. But market is pretty hard to understand. And i think that whales have big influence on BTC too. They can drop it's price to buy even more later. And also they can help to pump the price to sell it high while they can.

I highly agree with your point.

What drives the price of BTC on the market is primarily the demand and supply of it and the price which people are willing to purchase it from. Obviously, when institutions sell majority of their BTCs, most likely is that price may increase. In addition, due to its inflationary nature, BTCs price will continue to increase as time passes by, but it is relatively complex and difficult to predict the market accurately.

One thing is for sure- after its next halving (maybe 3-4 years from now), the price of BTC would definitely increase again.
3112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading needs consistent attention and full concentration on: August 16, 2021, 03:58:21 PM
That's true some people are not fully consistent and not on their full concentration when doing trading that's why it's hard for them to think what is a good decision and what's bad also if you are not on full concentration there are things that you might miss and that's not really good in trading.

It's not about full concentration and being consistent- it's about hard work and absorbing the knowledge for experience.

Even if a person is consistent with trading, there is still no guaranteed profit on his end. Trading requires a great deal amount of experience and knowledge on the market. When we mean by knowledge- both the extrinsic and intrinsic factors should be considered that affect the price of cryptocurrencies. Then after that, full concentration would follow in order to track down the price and sell them at ATH.
3113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the possible outcomes if you join on a Gambling sites or in Casino on: August 16, 2021, 03:38:06 PM
For me there are 3 possible outcomes if you  join on gambling

First if you are in your lucky day for sure you will win and get more money and became rich.

Second If you are in your unlucky day accept that you will loss the game and come home angry and sad.

Third  addicted even if you are in you lucky day or in unlucky day you all you have in your mind is fight back without knowing that your win or loss .

There are only two outcomes: either you win or you don't. Mostly, most gamblers experience losing due to the lack of self-control and discipline in which they convert their winnings to losses at the end of their gambling spree.

Based from my experience, I have witnessed my brother winning tons of games on his gambling spree. Unfortunately, those winnings were gone shortly after proceeding further with his gambling activities. That is why, whenever you have exhausted your 'limit' on gambling, better stop and call it a day to prevent overextending on your expenditures.
3114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The recent surge in Covid-19 is making vaccine makers to have a rethink on: August 16, 2021, 03:03:46 PM
The Government needs to put more effort to contain the virus and if premiums care is not taken on the best methods to defeat this deadly virus, we might end up experiencing the second batch of black death(deadly virus emanated from rodents) that kill more than 5 million persons hundreds years ago. Vaccine makers need to put on more efforts to achieve a sustainable result that can resist the virus.

If the population is ignorant, then the government may not be able to do much. Take the case of Russia for example. They are witnessing close to 1,000 daily deaths from COVID 19 now. Russia is the country which manufactures the Sputnik V vaccine, and yet most of the population refuses to get vaccinated. As per the latest stats, only 22% of the population has received both doses of the vaccine, with another 5% receiving the first dose. And in recent days, the daily vaccination rate has gone down.

The government can only do so much about their vaccination program. If they cannot convince the general public that vaccination works, even with tons of free vaccination programs, then that is outside the ambit of their scope. You cannot force someone to get vaccinated as it will tantamount to involuntary servitude. The only thing that the government can do is to provide concrete data and information that vaccines do work!

Here in the Philippines, after the government announced that the public cannot visit malls without any prior vaccination, tons of people marched into vaccination sites to get vaccinated. There has to be some sort of tradeoff where you would impose to convince the general public to get vaccinated.
3115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I wish i knew about Bitcoin before now on: August 16, 2021, 02:26:19 PM
I am on the same boat but always remember this: the best time to invest on BTC is the time when you found about its existence! That is why, as much as you regret not knowing BTC before hand, the fact that you know about its existence now puts you on a position above others who still has no clue about it.

Just to share, my regret with knowing BTC early was that I should have kept my remaining BTCs and invested it for long term. Unfortunately, some of the campaign proceeds that I earned were spent for my books back in college. If I could have at least kept them, I would have earned around $20,000 right now- and that money could have paid my brother's education.
3116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: August 16, 2021, 01:07:52 PM
The really big bookmakers have a lot of customers. I don't think they are easily steered by the fact that they have a problem with a customer. After all, every bookmaker or casino has a problem with a customer
There are a few gamblers that are dealing with them having bad experiences. They're probably looking for the perfect casino but the reality is that there's really no perfect casino. And every problem that they deal with those casinos, they're solvable as long as they're communicating well and bearing with them.

I think there are perfect casinos, if we mean their intentions, but of course mistakes can happen anywhere. That's why the way Support of a gambling site works is of major importance. The reputation of the otherwise good site can be ruined merely by poor performance of their support.

One of the aspects of a gambling website that I heavily relied upon is their customer service. Without any proper customer service where the issues of the gamblers are not addressed, this would take a toll on its general and overall popularity. I remember, there was this famous gambling website but everything shut down when their customer service was reported to be malicious and full of scams.

Like what most have mentioned, it does take years to build a good reputation and only a few seconds to destroy it completely. While I do understand that solving all the issues of gamblers are difficult, this is the hurdle that one must face in order to survive in this business.
3117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't give your bitcoins to scammers on: August 15, 2021, 05:30:02 PM
The problem with most fake giveaways is that they conceal themselves as "genuine" giveaways in which newbies fell to their trap. If you see any fake giveaways being spread onto different websites, I highly recommend that you post in under the SCAM ACCUSATION so that everyone could see it.

There are lots of forum traffic coming from people who are not members in the forum. They can utilize the search bar function and if they searched the giveaway, it would notify them that a person has already reported it as a scam. This provides an extra layer of security to newbies and as well as to other members as well.
3118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 15, 2021, 05:15:11 PM
The latest creator update from Twitch says,

Quote
"To prevent harm and scams created by questionable gambling services that sponsor content on Twitch, we will prohibit sharing links and/or referral codes to sites that offer slots, roulette, or dice games,”

Now streamers have time till 17th August to remove any such contents from their videos.

News ref: https://dotesports.com/streaming/news/twitch-introduces-restrictions-on-gambling-related-links

Do you foresee any Impact on crypto gambling?

This is a good move on Twitch. There are lots of gambling activities that are tagged as a scam by various users. Unfortunately, there are also some streamers who promote gambling-related links as they receive commission from the website. Unknowingly to the public, such streamers own a share of the gambling website which in return, benefits them at the end.

I do not see any big effect on crypto gambling with this announcement. Even if Twitch is considered one of the biggest platforms of streamers, this restriction wouldn't hurt much on the player base on crypto gambling as a whole.
3119  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Possible ATH ng isang coin, paano malaman? on: August 15, 2021, 05:02:37 PM

Volatile ang crypto and this method only applies sa mga long term investors and better gawin ito sa mga new coins na nalilist sa mga AMMs like PancakeSwap and Uniswap if the coin is still starting and medyo mababa lang ang market cap nya.

3120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The more popular Bitcoin is, the more valuable it is? on: August 15, 2021, 04:31:21 PM
Bitcoin is limited. Everyone uses Bitcoin for payment and daily transactions. Bitcoin is becoming more and more popular. Many people know that Bitcoin also has countries that set Bitcoin as legal tender. If Bitcoin is used to pay salaries, is it necessary to collect taxes?

To answer your question, yes. Anything that is collected as a means of income is subject to tax depending on the country where BTC is converted into legal tender. Any form of profit or income is taxable by the government and its respective rates depend upon the country.

As you call it and it makes a lot of sense. if there are many large companies that have an impact on the economy of many people will adopt bitcoin as payments, the demand will certainly increase and with limited coins the price will also increase. not the other way around. because not everyone using bitcoins for transactions. nowadays more people are used to long term investment or trading, so its balanced between people that using it for investment and for people who use as payment.

Like what OP said, in order for this to happen, it is essential that BTCs must be converted to legal tender. But, even without the implementation of it, companies may still adopt it as a form of payment to their products/services due to its widespread popularity over the years.
