2121  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: April 22, 2022, 11:12:45 PM
I made a topic 4 years ago that asked if casino site owners and operators were interested in integrating/implementing the Lightning Network for their service. It had just three replies, and two were mine. Hahaha.

I want to ask again, and this time to the users. Will you use the Lightning Network if available? Or will you continue to use whichever altcoin you're currently using?

This kind of development in the online gambling setting would be a privilege and a luxury if they can provide given that lightning network has a faster transaction speed and the fees are relatively low compared to BTC's method. The only problem with this is that, it may be expensive on the side of the online gambling platform owner, which is something that we do not see quite often.

Lightning Network was created in order to address the scalability problem of BTC. As far as I know, LTC uses lightning network but it was just expensive to maintain and use at the same time. Hopefully gambling owners can integrate this luxury for faster transaction speed but this won't make or break a gambling website if they do not have it.
2122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becareful with Meme Coins on: April 22, 2022, 04:56:29 PM
From the name itself "meme" it means nothing or a sham- something that was created purely for entertainment. Generally, these so-called "meme coins" have their names being associated with something or someone famous. For example, there was a meme coin entitled "FuckElon" after Elon Musk announced that he will support dogecoin, rather than bitcoin.

The problem with memecoins is that it can be subject to rug pulls, wherein investors would soon exit the project once they reach a certain price or threshold in the market. Unlike BTC or altcoins, these memecoins have no purpose at all, which can be extremely risky for investors.
2123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 22, 2022, 04:02:03 PM
I feel like I'm too late and the btc price is literally just gonna go sideways forever. Or maybe a slow gradual push up. Maybe in 20 years it will be worth half a mil.

I dont think we're gonna see anymore gains like people of the 2010s and 13s experienced. and even 2017...|

Will btc ever hit a million? Or hundred million?

I kick myself so hard every night going to sleep that I didn't get in earlier. Liek I'll literally have dreams of being in 2013 when I first heard about it and buying some... T_T

Like what I mentioned to previous threads similar to this, the best time to invest into cryptocurrency is the time that you first discover its existence. Due to its inflationary value, its price is somehow bound to increase in the future- though this is still subject to several and different factors.

Preferably, I would recommend purchasing cryptocurrencies and HODL them for long-term to take advantage of its limited and fixed supply on the market. Imagine, its price skyrocketed nearly 1000%+ when its price first released on the market- its potential is limitless for investors like us.

2124  Economy / Gambling / Re: Another New Rule On Gambling Adverts Ban Celebrities and Sports Stars on: April 21, 2022, 11:58:51 PM
Previously gambling sites and gambling company only look into the fiat investment and fiat withdraw. But after the reach of crytocurrency to next level, it was a quite enough to the involving of crytocurrency as the mode of playing and withdrawn. The important one of cryto gambling was, we get more cryto as a winning bet. Then by just holding the coin, we can earn huge from that cryptocurrency.
You are trying to say a lame fact. We will win same type of currency. If we deposit and place bet on fiat we will get fiat too if we win and if we deposit cryptocurrency then we will get cryptocurrency for the winnings. So, it is a basic way though several sites convert the cryptocurrency into fiat after making the deposit.

There are some gambling websites that offer free exchanges at their disposal where you can quickly convert your cryptocurrencies to fiat; and the other way around.

Do remember that a gambling website that prohibits sports celebrities and sports stars are only adhering to the rule implemented. But I think this sanction should be met in the middle- there has to be some sort of compromise in order to fully accept this kind of regulation. While I do understand that they are trying to protect young kids from being easily influenced in gambling, this not the only way in order to prevent them from gambling, in general.
2125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making e-sports more affordable on: April 21, 2022, 05:51:31 PM
Quote
The first game developed for Esports Technologies will centre around the Counter Strike: Global Offensive marketplace, with further plans to develop Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant-inspired games

Hard to imagine a game inspired on those classics is going to be a trend. It's like expecting an altcoin is going to surpass bitcoin. Clones or imitations aren't likely to please the public. For games developers it's better to focus on original, fresh ideas. That is something the gaming niche is lacking right now. There is nothing new around, every games are (bad) copies of good concepts from the past two decades, which worked perfectly back then.

Personally, I would like to see e-sports growing with RTS games, but I have no hopes regard that, because I know RTS genre isn't popular and there are no significant investment and development on this field. Anyway, if it happened for real, I would be glad to play those games. I follow some RTS games tournaments with cash prizes, but the number of views is too low as are the prizes.

Although CSGO is old, I'm certain to play it when there is incentive in doing so. Any one could make money can motivate someone.
I would imagine easy access for someone and every kill will make you money will be a good concept, just imagine a lot of us in one map waiting for a shadow on our cross sight. Its exciting to see how much you'd win when you defuse a bomb or successfully bombed the area.
CSGO is still a very popular game, despite its old age. For FPS fans it's a great, simple and fast game, but are hosts/game's support able to fight bots and cheats in real time in a game like that? There was a popular cheat players downloaded, allowing them to aim the head of adversaries automatically, achieving the so desirable "headshot". In official tournaments it's harder to see this happening, because the group of participating players is restricted, select and have already built their reputation along several years, sometimes. However, in a massive arena where everyone can play and earn money, it's 100% sure there will be trickery, like in NFT games and even some popular MMORPGs people use to make money from.

Counter Strike is one of those games who withstood the test of time- from its very first version, to 1.6, to source, and to Global Offensive. It has numerous versions wherein lots of active players still play to this day. While there may be emerging FPS games which introduce unique and flavorful ideas, I still consider CSGO as the king of online FPS where gambling activities can be actively held.

Though CSGO has been categorized as the biggest FPS game, there are however, lots of cheats which continues to damage its reputation on the field. With regard betting, there was an incident before where a player in India (Forsaken) cheated in an official tournament.
2126  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and investment on: April 21, 2022, 02:55:41 PM
  • Will you continue to invest even if it is only 10%-20% of your total monthly income?
  • How do you achieve financial stability during this inflation?

Share some of your thoughts, I think it would be good to consider especially as long as this kind of condition persists for a long time.

For your first question, investing has been an essential factor with regard to my daily life. It created this duty where I have to invest a certain and fixed amount of income allocated for cryptocurrencies primarily based for long-term HODLing. Though inflation has made it relatively easier/harder (depending on the circumstances) to profit, long-term HODLing would be the key in order to address this problem.

For your second question, financial stability is all about deciding if you can invest a portion of your income or not. If you can allocate a certain amount of income for your investments without having to compromise your monthly obligations, then feel free to invest. If, due to inflation, you are experiencing difficulty in profiting, then you might need to adjust your allocation to your investments.
2127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it bad to leave crypto on exchanges? on: April 21, 2022, 01:42:52 PM
I have most of mine on an exchange because I'm getting paid interest. Has there ever been a time when an exchange like Binance for example, steals your funds or gets hacked and people lost money?

There have been tons of instances where exchanges have been linked to several scams and hacks in the past.

Recently, an exchange (Ronin) was hacked and more than millions of dollars worth of ETH were stolen from the exchange which affected some "pay-to-earn" games (e.g. Axie Infinity, etc.) in their transactions. In addition, there are also cases where exchanges have been tagged as scams in which some of your cryptos would be frozen in the process.

Generally, it is highly recommended that you move your cryptocurrencies in a more secured hardware wallet for proper storage and security. Leaving them in an exchange would only subject you to extreme risks of losing it in the unforeseeable future.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making e-sports more affordable on: April 20, 2022, 11:35:21 PM
With current multiplayer its too difficult and disjointed to follow what every team member is doing. The camera doesn't know which player perspective to follow as it doesn't know where the main action will be. Its difficult to follow everything that is happening in a perspective that makes sense and is watchable.

This is one of the problems that some e-sports multiplayer/team games are struggling to offer- how to effectively broadcast and showcase each and every individual' skill. Given that the recent broadcast of players have been steadily improving over the past year, there is still this lacking element where everyone could be seen while effectively being not too overwhelming at the same time.

This is one of those problems that are somehow difficult to address given the nature of multiplayer games. If the camera showcases multiple players at the same time, viewers might get confused on which panel/side to watch; on the other hand, not seeing every player's movements might be frustrating especially if you want to focus on a specific player.

I guess in order to address this problem, viewers must have the option to freely choose on which player to watch their POV.
2129  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: April 20, 2022, 11:05:48 PM
As a newbie in the crypto environment, with a keen interest in making a profitable investment in crypto, where would you best advice me to invest in 2022. Will an investment in bitcoin now still be profitable to me or investing in other coins is what you best advice? I understand that people are sometimes reserved as per not wanting to give financial advice to avoid being blamed if it goes wrong, but I will try to go through all the responses I can get and highlight the answers that are repeated for consideration.

Personally, I would advise investing into BTC and to the top 10 altcoins, but majority of your investments should compromise of the former (e.g. 70% BTC; and 30% altcoins).

Given the inflationary price of BTC in the market, its price is bound to increase in the following years. But I would recommend investing into long-term due to its potential of skyrocketing in its price especially when forks happen. In terms of altcoins, I would also personally recommend investing into ETH. You can check the price history chart in order to support more your decision in investing. This may give you a broad idea on which altcoin to invest and when to invest.
2130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Still Supporting And Playing On Newly Launch Casinos on: April 20, 2022, 04:27:02 PM
Almost every week there are one or two new casinos launching here, this section is already a big number of casinos there are good and bad new casinos here, these new casinos know that for them to stay in the game and be competitive they have offer new things and bonuses and giveaways.

Are you still supporting new casinos even if you're already playing in so many casinos do you still have room for new casino to deposit and play?

It actually depends on the casino and if they have some promotions, bonuses, or sign-up privileges of some sort.

Normally, relatively new casinos would have tons of promotions after their first launch and they would offer some privileges and rewards for people who deposit a certain amount. While this may sound scary and dubious, there are some casinos that operate on a big-scale which somehow offsets such risk. Though this may also be the case, after getting the rewards, I would normally avoid them and continue using my desired online gambling platform that I am accustomed using to.

For example, there may be new casinos out there but my fallback would always be the old casinos that I am comfortably using due to the overall experience (e.g. better UI, rewards, customer service, etc.).
2131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no intrinsic value on: April 20, 2022, 10:35:54 AM
Is it really the best way to invest your money?

Because of the way Bitcoin generates value or becomes more expensive, it could potentially lose all its value and became worthless.
Who assures you that this will not happen?

This depends on your goal but the only person that can answer that is yourself.

If you have the means of investing for long-term, then I highly recommend so. There are lots of people (including myself) have profited in investing into cryptocurrencies (BTC to be specific). It has an inflationary nature where its value may increase substantially in the following years. But again, this is subject to certain risks that are associated with it.

If I where you, I suggest watching videos about BTC as there are tons of materials available in the internet. Upon learning everything, you decide if you think it is best investing.
2132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Currently dealing with the worst day of my life in crypto on: April 20, 2022, 06:12:03 AM
Ahh man, I definitely feel sorry for your loss. Given that the nature of cryptocurrencies can be easily hacked nowadays, it is arguably recommended to triple check all the files being sent to you. Again, as much as I pity for your loss, it is also your responsibility (though you mentioned that you were negligent) to check all the files and to doubt everything being sent to you.

Mistakes like these tend to shape our future decisions. As much as this is very unfortunate, this would actually help newbies to be more careful in selecting and choosing all the files being sent to them.

It also just got me thinking that scammers/hackers nowadays can conveniently create suspicious files that once you opened them, pandora's box will break loose. I really hope that your experience will save thousands of people from this event.
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sports betting sites that return your money when you lose. on: April 19, 2022, 11:44:02 AM
I think that such sites will disappear at some time and users who keep their money on them will lose them. Any of us understands how casinos work and there is no point in them returning lost money to users. Those funds are their earnings. Be sure that such a scheme will not work long and users will be upset to learn that the site is closed for no reason.

That's very similar to LFC, these are not gambling sites, these are ponzi sites that are scammers. Those who invested early and withdraw early might gain enough money, but those that enters late is going to lose a lot of money, as long as there are people who recruits, they are helping the site to get fresh money from investors, but just like scam sites, eventually these sites will turn scam.

In my years of gambling experience, even before cryptocurrency gambling existed, I have never heard of a gambling website (or even a physical casino) that returns your money when you lose.

Given the nature of these gambling websites, it is imperative to know that these are "businesses" in which their aim is to profit. With that kind of scheme, how can they possibly profit from this system? Where is the so-called "risk" that makes gambling websites profitable in the first place?

I really do believe that this kind of method is nothing but a scheme devised to at least scam people in the process. I visited the site and it looks nothing like a sports-betting website; it's like they putted a random sporty image and some numbers telling you to withdraw.
2134  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: April 19, 2022, 09:41:03 AM
Hello guys, I'm new here  Grin

I will launch my first casino in a few months and I was curious how do you advertise it? How much bankroll you had when you opened your first casino? Have you learned from your mistakes and if yes, what mistakes cost you a lot of money?

I appreciate every answer and thank you!

A good friend of mine has an acquaintance that currently operates an online gambling company across the internet. While it may not be as big as the titans of online gambling platforms (e.g. duelblits, fortunejack, stake, etc.), it considerably earns a decent amount of money from its day-to-day operations.

His main source of advertisement is through ads on some websites. He also promotes it via word of mouth and he also creates various threads across different forums in order to further advertise it.

Though I did tell him to create a campaign signature to further boost it, he says that he does not have the enough funds to create one. I guess one of the main ways of advertising it is via campaign signatures in this forum.
2135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UFC fighters will get their bonus pay by Bitcoin on: April 19, 2022, 08:33:28 AM
They need someone to really teach the athletes to learn the benefits of BTC or just give them the option to receive stabecoin instead. Otherwise the athletes will blame crypto.com if the value of the BTC goes down. Having the stablecoin, they will still have the chance to trade it to BTC when they change their minds. I believe the crypto.com will pay them thru the crypto.com app, right?

I think this is one of the duties that the organizers need to inform the fighters- like at least educate them about the nature of cryptocurrencies and about its volatility. Like you mentioned, they may get the wrong idea if they suddenly see that their winnings decreased significantly due to extreme volatility. Nonetheless, there has to be some sort of waiver if they fully want to receive their bonus in BTC.

Though this may be the case, this is some good development on cryptocurrencies. The fact that a sport that is as big as UFC started to entertain and integrate cryptocurrencies as a form of payment can attract more people into knowing the latter's nature and fundamentals.
2136  Other / Off-topic / Re: Big Project, looking for an investor on: April 16, 2022, 10:27:47 PM
Investment:
We are looking for somebody who can invest anything between $1000 and higher. Investors will receive a portion/percentage of the project, which includes full access to our admin panel. This percentage or portion can be discussed and negotiated over in my inbox (linked below). You will also be able to develop the website and supply us with more ideas for updates and futuristic plans.

Asking for an investment worth $1,000 or more without providing any glimpse or concrete details about the said project can easily backfire. I heavily recommend that you provide more details in the post, instead of saying that the other details would be available in DMs. Anything that asks for a minimum investment in return for nothing (basically a non-collateral loan) can be dangerous to the investor's side, given that nothing is promised in return except for such hope and optimism.

Again, I heavily recommend that you provide at least some collateral to the minimum investment required to at least compensate the users from your request. Given that you also have a history of asking such, bring some security for these investors.
2137  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: April 16, 2022, 06:18:57 PM
blackjack.fun will get more attention because games and rounds one of the most active threads.
This statement can be correct and also false.

Because the attention is also depends on the type campaign it self & how the rules of the campaign. As you know, we can take example a contest promotion like Duelbits some of the scenario only have under 10 entry.

Free stuff is always get the attention comparing need some money to join the campaign.

I remember last year, Roobet created several promotions under the services thread where they let users participate in creating posters, paintings, GIFs, etc. in exchange for a valuable consideration as the prize. Lots of forum users participated in such promotion and there are also users who won a hefty amount of sum in the end. I do believe that this kind of strategy works best in terms of promoting a gambling website.

Lots of traffic in this forum also generates promotions to all the signatures being posted across the forum. As blackjack.fun is currently active in games and rounds, the potential of attracting more users to its website is definitely high. I just hope that they create promotions (just like what Roobet did) in order to further boost their reputation as one of the solid gambling websites out there.
2138  Economy / Service Discussion / bilRe: stake.com- Does not have gambling responsibility on: April 16, 2022, 06:09:28 PM
Nope, it's only stake's fault. The moment the user have requested self exclusion from that second his gambling features should've stopped, there he had a moment of waking up to reality, but stake didn't care and allowed him to play.

Stake is reliable and directly responsable for any lost funds. And more even if he would've one, by Stake terms they could've seize his funds at any moment after because he requested the self exclusion. This is shady behaviour and illegal. Anyone defending stake is a just a shit poster who hope they will get a giveaway from stake or just post random things for 25 cents.

How can you associate this with Stake as their responsibility? Remember that every person has our free will and discretion to decide on our decisions. Regardless of all the temptations surrounding the gambling industry, we still have the ultimatum on how we can execute our actions in the end.

Stake cannot be held responsible for any of the loss funds if a person gambles freely. Even if a person that relapses gambles, that is not the responsibility of Stake anymore. The least thing that they can do is to block access from their servers but this can easily be circumvented if a person uses another ISP on his location.

2139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 16, 2022, 05:59:50 PM
I have two in my mind, it's either Bucks or Warriors. The favorite is Suns but the same unexpected fall may happen to them but it's also possible that this is until they get the trophy until the finals.
So, if it's only one, I think that I'll take that gamble for Bucks for the possibility of being a back to back champion.
I'll go with two of the most favorites teams, the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors. They have quite impressive odds to win in this NBA season. However, things may go unexpected when the final game starts. It may be Bucks who has made two NBA titles, who knows?  But whoever wins this season, i'm sure the team's hardwork and perseverance has paid off. There must have been a great chemistry that creates a great team, and that makes them a champion.

I agree with you although it is really relatively difficult to accurately predict who will win this season.

By using odds as the main basis on who would win, Grizzlies has the edge of winning the champion season for this year's playoffs. As a Warriors fanboy since 2015, my bet is on them, though many have speculated that they cannot withstand the deep bench and team chemistry of Grizzlies. Though this may be the case, I would still bet my money on Warriors this season until the end.

For a safe bet, however, better go with Grizzlies and Suns as it has the highest odds of winning.
2140  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: April 16, 2022, 05:49:40 PM
I am looking for a casino that accepts only cryptocurrencies, but could you please tell me about a casino that accepts only cryptocurrencies?
For the fact that you are a newbie does not mean that you can ask a rhetorical question. Virtually almost all gambling platforms here accept only Bitcoin and few altcoins for gambling. There are many gambling platforms to select here that only accept cryptocurrency as a medium for gambling with good bonuses fast withdrawals. So you have a pool to select from without much anticipation.

Majority of gambling websites accept cryptocurrencies nowadays due to its convenience and nature. The fact that most gambling websites also named their domain as something to do with cryptocurrencies (e.g. freebitco.in, etc.), it is obvious that these websites accept cryptocurrencies as payment.

Also it is noteworthy to mention that it is recommended that you gamble with altcoins instead of BTC. Given the latter's potential for its price to skyrocket in the future, save your BTCs as a form of long-term investment and purchase altcoins as your main currency for gambling.
