2101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon and and how this "dude" could effect bitcoin in the future? on: April 28, 2022, 05:55:19 PM
You will agree Elon has really inspired many people to bitcoin his pro or against bitcoin tweet directly reflect the red and green candles on bitcoin charts.

With owning this huge platform of Twitter he can either break it or make it. I think.

Let if adopts "doge" as some kind of default crypto currency for Twitter it will be huge move and might effect bitcoin bigtime.

Or let say if come to sense and realizes the truth and embrace bitcoin I can't imagine how huge the green candle will be.

Hmm interesting observation- that could be a possibility where Elon may use some sort of feature on Twitter where Dogecoins can be generated or traded at the same time. I think this is a sign that people should at least acquire/purchase some Dogecoins since the empire of Elon Musk is slowly increasing and getting bigger. Who knows on what purchase or acquisition will he go next- but one thing is sure; it's that his support on Dogecoin implies that he will be utilizing it on his projects.

I just hope that this would bring a positive feedback for cryptocurrencies in general, and not just in Dogecoin. Even though he may be against BTC, I hope that it brings positive effects for cryptocurrencies.
2102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank and it ignorance on Bitcoin on: April 28, 2022, 02:52:10 PM
what are the possibilities of central banks governors winning the war against the decentralized finances or will the central banks looses it relevancy when Bitcoin finally become a global currency.
Bitcoin is already being adopted globally and about your first question, that's why they intervene and impose or suggest a ban that's related to it. There is one thing that they're forgetting about this matter. There's no way to stop the global adoption of bitcoin, they might ban it from the north but it's going to be adopted and freely used in the south. And that's the actual thing that's happening today, bitcoin's community is going bigger and bigger and they can't stop and deny that fact.

I think the fact that the Central Banks of the respective countries globally does not affect any strict regulation or implementation says a lot about the ongoing effect of cryptocurrencies in their country.

Like what you guys mentioned, we cannot deny the fact that cryptocurrencies may be the future of our transactions. These banks recognize its potential effects on the masses; that is why they remain silent up to this point of creating strict regulations controlling cryptocurrencies. I really think that they are just waiting for the perfect opportunity for a wide-scale production.
2103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where does your country stand ? on: April 27, 2022, 06:00:21 PM
Statistically, the list of countries with the most bets might show countries like America, UK, and Australia. And I think it's an accepted fact, even countries where gambling is not considered good or likes to gamble.
and from some countries it is mentioned not the country where I live, because traditional or real gambling in the country where I live is strictly prohibited and if caught will be punished except online gambling.

This list is interesting- I was expecting India or China to be the first or at least be included in the top 10 but most of the countries that are listed came from first world countries. I do think that there is a difference between the variance between number of gambling rates vs revenue generated in gambling.

In the Philippines, as far as I can remember, gambling activities moderated and regulated by the Philippines bring the 3rd most revenue in the country. That is also the reason on why lots of gambling casinos have steadily been increasing over the past years, helping boosting the economy.
2104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the end of Fiat money at hand? on: April 27, 2022, 05:40:54 PM
There are many types of stable coin such as USDT, DIA, BUSD, TUSD, UST etc. And most people uses this insted of fiat money, will it be that later in the future countries will no longer use Fiat money but these electronic currency?

Like what I previously mentioned, I doubt that we will be seeing a shift to "electronic currency" or cryptocurrencies in the near future.

The technology of a country must adhere to such system before it can be implemented. In addition, countries also must globally accept and view such currency as the universal currency that must be circulated throughout the world. Given that majority of the countries are still underdeveloped, this kind of shift would be too costly to adapt at the current setting.

Again, why can't fiat and cryptocurrencies co-exist? Why does it have to be that cryptocurrencies SHOULD replace fiat? They harmonize pretty well and they can exist at the same time without being too much of a problem in today's era.
2105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Crypto to the wrong address on: April 27, 2022, 04:59:13 PM
We're developing something to reduce human error in crypto transactions, especially those in which some mistake was made when writing the receiver address.
Can you guys help us have a greater perception on the user side?

Did it happen to you?

This never happened to me even by mistake since I always check the address before sending it. There are wallets that offer a "copy to clipboard" kind of feature where the address is automatically copy/pasted to the exchange that you are sending your coins to.

Quote
How comfortable are you every time you transfer to a remote address?

I am quite comfortable and confident given that I always check the address before sending my cryptocurrencies. Given that the nature is that the funds are irreversible in case of an error/mistake, it is but natural for me to double check everything.

Quote
Would you be more comfortable using a helper?

If there is an added feature QOL feature where copying to clipboard feature is much simpler than it is (for added security), then I would definitely use it.

Quote
What do you use today to mitigate this risk?

Like what I previously mentioned, the only way to mitigate the risk is to manually check the address that you are sending to. Just a tip, if you are skeptical if you are comparing two addresses, then try putting it inside a sign-up page where two passwords are required. If it shows that the passwords are the same, then you can send that address confidently to the exchange.
2106  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are a few of the best apps that you’ve used for sports betting? on: April 27, 2022, 04:50:10 PM
I had never heard of that apps since I do not use apps to search the info from the apps. But if the apps can support by giving many predictions, odds, or even news from every team, I think that can attract people's attention to try using the app. Thank you for sharing that app with us. I think some people will use the app and hopefully, that can help them get the info they want to search for.

We are in the same situation- I also do not use any applications but I manually search for the current standings of the teams and rely on the raw information posted on their main website. Though I have been using this method for about years now, I am very open to understand and to try the applications posted by some of the members here.

The reason on why these apps are created is for convenience. The fact that an application can readily predict the odds and show percentages of winnings/losings can definitely help me if ever I have no time to manually check the teams. Though the main sports that I have been watching is NBA, I am also open to try other sports in the event that these apps have such feature.
2107  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best online gaming platform on: April 27, 2022, 04:00:29 PM
The casinos are there to filter away your money and you can not become wealthy through gambling unless you have a exceptional skills and luck on your side to win over the house, but to achieve that is not easy and can't be assured even with the sites you listed.

Although there are some exceptionally guru who always seems to win over the House consistently and it amaze me how their do that but generally don't have the mindset of becoming rich through gambling.

We are not sure about that but yeah you should have exceptional skills specially with sports betting, there's really a lot of players that has large bankrolls and continuously trying their strategy such as in dice game or other types of game but I am sure they are just doing it for fun and not to be rich since they are rich on the first place.

You have to differentiate sports betting vs online casinos since they vary on the type of bets you create.

For sports betting, it can be argued that the risks are much lower since you may have the information and knowledge about the team you are betting on. Generally, some rely on statistics and lineups of the team before they bet. Once they have ample information, this would support them into betting on the team which has a higher chance of winning.

On the other hand, online casinos have card games that mostly rely on luck (though some card games can have the element of luck reduced). Slots are the best example since there is literally no way for a person to at least control the variables into winning.
2108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First African country adopts Bitcoin as official currency on: April 26, 2022, 04:37:42 PM
~ Everyone knows I am a skeptic and have speculated these countries accepting bitcoin as legal tender are only doing it for publicity. However, I am presently not certain of this anymore hehe.
Understandable. They probably do not have the technology yet to fully implement this.

To be honest, I didn't know that such country exists in Africa (no offense to those who live there). Upon looking it up, it seems they do not have their own local currency just like El Salvador and also a country trying hard to recover economically. Bitcoin won't solve all their issues but it might attract some foreign investors and tourists.

Oh I definitely agree with your statement.

Not to discriminate the whole continent of Africa but majority of the countries suffer from poverty, lack of infrastructures, etc. so their way of implementing BTC as a form of legal tender is nothing but a showcase and a message to all countries worldwide. I also doubt that the government would consider implementing BTC exchanges or ATMs considering that a fund must be allocated specifically for this goal, where there are other problems/issues they must first tackle.
2109  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: April 25, 2022, 11:57:06 PM
- you invest so that your money works for you. Even if you cannot drop your job, you can still live a bit better with extra income.
- Investing is sacrificing something today to get something tomorrow. This is just a definition. You save x today because you want 2x tomorrow or in year or whenever.
- The first step to invest is saving part of your income. No savings, no future.
- If you have credits unpaid (other than mortgages or other asset backed credits), you pay those first because they charge you a lot.

And from here we could start speaking on how are you going to save regularly, if it is going to be 10% of your income, or 5% or 50%, how are you going to learn about investing, etc...

Just to add on the list you provided, invest the money that you are willing to lose. If you see investing as a "chore" or as something that is obligatory, then chances are that you would most likely pull out your investments. Another thing, have a definite time schedule for your investments or at least have a goal on when you should withdraw and cash them out.

Given that the nature of cryptocurrencies are inflationary, its price may skyrocket in the future. Given that this may be the case, it is important to know when you would sell your cryptocurrencies. A lot of people have been HODLing either for short or long-term gains and this would definitely help them in diversifying and allocating their expenses more.
2110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think New Casino Should Partnered With Bounty Managers To Gain Trust? on: April 25, 2022, 11:42:51 PM
Do you think it's a big advantage for the new casino that they have a bounty manager to be part of the team, we have a good lineup of reputable managers here.

There will be certainly an edge and a bias once you see an online gambling platform partnering with bounty/campaign managers here in the forum.

It somehow says a lot of an online casino partners with someone here. They have the necessary funds and they allocated it precisely to further boost their reputation across the forum. If I saw an online casino being affiliated with a bounty manager here, it will somehow give me the impression that such casino is trustworthy and genuine- but these are all just the INITIAL impression.

Despite having a partner, what matters are actual feedback from players who experienced using the services of the said online casino. If lack the online casino essentials (e.g. customer service, payouts, etc.), then they are bound to fail at some point.
2111  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best casino other than Stake . com? on: April 25, 2022, 04:33:49 PM
What is a great 100% trusted Crypto casino other than Stake . com? Why is is good, fast payouts, generous bonuses, no ID needed, etc?

There are lots of online gambling platforms available in the internet. Just a quick question, what sort of details, options, and features that are you looking for? Given that you are looking for fast payouts, bonuses, and no KYC functions, I would personally recommend duelbits, fortunejack, blackjack.fun, etc. as your main online gambling platforms.

I also suggest browsing through the forum for more information and details about the said online casinos. There are tons of reviews and feedbacks from experienced players that will surely support your decision in choosing one.
2112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Fiat Will Always Be The Norm on: April 25, 2022, 03:17:16 PM
fiat looks ordinary to those who don't care about the existence of crypto. they think crypto is the same as stocks, so it doesn't interfere with fiat. especially in areas where life is still primitive, which is still lagging behind in technology and only uses fiat as a transaction tool in their country of course fiat will run normally. For those of us who already know the benefits of crypto, of course, we no longer prioritize fiat. we only use fiat to buy goods or daily bills. the rest prefer to invest in crypto.

Fiat will always be the norm until the world adopts cryptocurrencies as the new way of transacting for our day-to-day obligations. The question is, why cannot we just say that both cryptocurrencies and fiat co-exist with each other?

The transaction of fiat has been around since time immemorial. This standardized the method of having a universal currency where all countries can accept and adopt as the norm for purchasing products/services. Unfortunately, cryptocurrencies are inflationary in their nature- it is like saying that gold should be the currency that should be adopted when its production is based on the fact that it is limited.

2113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to invest in crytocurrency in 2022? on: April 23, 2022, 06:13:13 PM
In the past there are been different ways of making money in crytocurrency, for example ICO,staking, mining, bounty hunting, buying and selling of nfts, investing in memecoins etc.from all these which do you think is the beat approach to make money in the present market conditions?.

Based from purely my experience, I would say that participating into campaign signatures and HODLing are the best ways of earning cryptocurrencies.

As someone who has been active in this forum since 2017, I have participated already in dozens of campaign signatures during my stay. Throughout those 5 years of experience, I have accumulated at least a handful amount of BTCs where I avoid spending/using them and HODL them for long-term. Given also that the nature of campaign signatures makes you work at your convenience, it is not time-consuming as it is definitely a privilege to participate in such.

HODLing will also remain as the best way of earning cryptocurrencies since you take advantage of BTC's inflationary value and limited supply in the market.
2114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I think its time to start my crypto trading lessons on: April 23, 2022, 05:53:14 PM
I believe no one can learn everything about crypto in one day so there is no giving up on the part, always learning every day,  now I think its time I move into crypto trading, not in rush but i am less busy this days, I want something I can slowly learn about so is there any books or video about crypto trading? A genuine stuff that has almost all answers to trading, candles and other stuffs that a newbie needs to learn first?..

I suggest reading and searching through the internet for free courses and videos on learning about trading. But also remember that no matter how hard you try reading books or watching videos on trading, the only way to learn is through experience. Just like driving, the only way to learn is to personally experience driving in a car.

I would definitely recommend doing trading in the first place. You would learn all the basics, understand the foundation, and adapt all the necessary techniques that would help you choose which coin to invest on. By this method, you would get a general feel on the basics of trading which would increase your experience as a whole.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Paradox of Gambling behavior on: April 23, 2022, 05:38:18 PM
What do you think is the best game/ sports to gamble on ?

Personally, I would choose sports/e-sports gambling since it is something that I am quite familiar with. Given that I have some knowledge about the said topic, I can confidently bet on the games that I think I would win. Though there is no absolute decision in gambling, knowing which teams/players and their statistics can definitely help support me to decide on which team to bet on.

Quote
Do you do it for winning? Are the ideas in the article according to you correct? How many times you usually win in a game of chance+skills?

I always do it for winning- like purely for profit. Most of the time, my bets are somehow accurate with at least around a 60% success since I can access which team to bet on.
2116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a good way to privately buy Bitcoin? on: April 23, 2022, 05:19:34 PM
With the rise of tracking of Bitcoin transactions by Coinalysis and stuff, keeping your Bitcoin pseudonymous seems harder these days. I normally buy through Coinbase Pro, but I was wondering if there is an easy way to buy Bitcoin privately, and without getting charged a premium? Only things I know of are Bitcoin ATMs and localbitcoins but pretty sure ATMs have a high fee and I don't want to have to go find an ATM everytime I want to buy anyway, and localbitcoins tend to sell at a large premium as well.

So is there anything like a decentralized exchange for Bitcoin where you can get current market price and exchange stablecoins with Bitcoin with other people? Or any other good buying option that preserves privacy?

I think your best bet would be to purchase BTC in this forum, while also providing an escrow for your services. Instead of paying a premium on some exchanges, without the need of KYC, you can at least give something to the escrow which is considerably cheaper and safer. But again, make sure that you get an escrow which is widely recognized here in the forum to avoid any scamming.

Though there may be cases of scams even if a person has a good reputation, this is just one of the risks of transacting with BTC- something that a person cannot avoid. Exchanges will always be there, but with the cost of premiums and providing KYC douments.
2117  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I got Scammed. on: April 23, 2022, 04:43:25 PM
.......
We both agreed, and I paid the Admin in Fiat while waiting for my crypto; however, the seller did not send my crypto, and I was removed from the group immediately after making payment.
I share this not only to express my FEELINGS, but also to alart my fellow newbies who may fall victim to such a scam. No one should be trusted anymore.
Also more advice is needed in order to avoid being scammed again. THANKS YOU ALL.
Group Name: BINANCE NIGERIA P2P (Binance Trusted Escrow).

This is one of those instances where I emphatize with you- unfortunately, these so-called "telegram groups" should raise dozens of red flags already. Of all the scammed topics that I have read on this board, almost all of them involved people joining these "telegram groups" and they tend to fall to scams where they trusted users there.

Newbies and/or veterans, never trust these telegram groups. Though I do understand that there may be legitimate groups out there, better to avoid them as much as possible and trade only with people you really trust (e.g. sending KYC documents, etc.).
2118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 23, 2022, 04:16:13 PM
The game between the Hawks vs Heat in game 3 was just truly thrilling to watch. During the third quarter of the game, the Heat was leading the score where they were trailing by +10 points but the lead was soon relinquished once the Hawks gained the momentum. During the final moments of the last quarter, the score was 109-110 where the Heat was leading by one point. As soon as the possession started, Trey Young proved on why he is an all-star player with an amazing floater that gave the Hawks a 2-point advantage (111-110).

Unfortunately, Butler was not able to score the final 5 seconds of the game where he missed a game-winning FG. I really think that Hawks can win on this series, though I still believe that the momentum that GSW created would render them the winner of this playoffs.
2119  Economy / Gambling / Re: new bitcoin casino system on: April 22, 2022, 11:55:55 PM
Hello my boss want open bitcoin casino.

Can you help us with this? what is needed

Your question is somehow confusing as it is severely lacking in details- what kind of casino is your boss planning to open? Are you considering starting an online gambling platform or a physical casino? Which country does your boss live in?

Just to give you a brief background, before you open a casino, you should first check the regulations in your respective country. Second, you must also decide if you want to implement a KYC function (though I highly recommend against so); third, you must introduce something that is unique on the table given that there are tons of online gambling platforms available in the internet.

Take note of licensing agreements also if you want to operate a gambling casino. Avoid getting in conflict with the laws as this can either make or break your business on the end.
2120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any unexpected incidents - Bitcoin on: April 22, 2022, 11:46:20 PM
During the start of the year one of my friend who is running a travel service gave a table calendar. I just had it, and suddenly while looking for the date saw the image of bitcoin being mentioned in the calendar. This is something unexpected and it isn't a big thing, because the editor of the calendar might've added it. However slowly bitcoin is getting displayed here and there without reason. Does this intend people to know what is it.

This is very interesting- I think the image of Bitcoin has been associated with massive wealth and luxury given that most people that have shared their stories had profited from investing from such. Given also that the price increase of BTC in the market skyrocketed during such time, most investors have at least had a positive story to share, which resulted to them getting rich.

The fact that the image of BTC has been used in a calendar, together with pictures of people in a private jet or in a vacation symbolizes power and wealth. I just hope that this would be a door and an opportunity for people to actually try and invest in cryptocurrencies due to its limitless potential.
