2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 21, 2022, 06:44:11 PM
It was really hell of a race! Verstappen had a very unfortunate race first of all. And Perez had the similar experience too. Both of them were out of the race while we were getting to the end. And Red Bull said that it was a problem related to fuel pump. And this race was so special for Ferrari and Leclerc. I appreciate Leclerc's solid performance here a lot. And it looks like this season is going to be Ferrari's season. By the way, Hamilton was so lucky about ending the race at the 3rd place too. But it looks like this is going to be a troubling season for Mercedes for now.

Basically you can say the performance of RedBull is very good and not far behind Ferrari, I like the fact that this year 3 teams are pretty much on the same level, I think Mercedes can still get something out of their car. Only thing that will give RedBull a headache is the stability of the Honda engine or the drive technology in general, 3/4 failure of the drive unit is very worrying and that at the first race.

And the interesting part was that three drivers who were driving a car that had a Honda engine were out of the race. This makes me think about whether this was just a coincidence or the engines had a role in this situation too. But I guess that it is about a completely different problem like they indicated. Anyway, I hope that Red Bull drivers can return much stronger than this. I'm sure about Verstappen to use this as a motivation for himself and fight harder from now on. Red Bull is not much slower than Ferrari so we can see a serious competition between these constructors.

Despite the engine failure from the car of Verstappen, we cannot discount the efforts of the two (2) Ferraris as this is their first 1-2 finish after some years! This really shows that this season would be the perfect test in order to observe the reluctance and pioneered engineering of the teams to significantly improve the aerodynamics of their respective cars.

The fact that Haas was able to outlap Russel in this Bahrain's GP says a lot about Magnussen's experience as a driver. So happy that Ferrari was able to get that 1-2 finish as this team was somehow silent over the past years.
2282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet is safe for keeping large amount of btc? on: March 21, 2022, 06:34:31 PM
Is any hardware or software wallet which is safe to keep large amount of BTC safe and secure?

Definitely a hardware wallet since the device itself can be kept inside a deposit box or in a lock where only you can have access to its funds using your private keys.

To be honest, I am somehow guilty of this because I mostly kept my BTCs inside our local exchange and external wallet. While this may be relatively secured, there is always that possibility where these exchanges may be the subject of hacks and scams, like what happened to Mt. Gox way back. In addition, several exchanges (including Binance) had experienced some hacking which resulted to loss of BTCs into the wallet of some.
2283  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Sites on: March 21, 2022, 06:13:46 PM
Please! Is there any gambling site that I can easily sign up? I tried Gamdom.com but it is not opening either it is only loading since morning...so, I need a site that I can access easily.

There are various of gambling websites scattered in the forum with their respective benefits, perks, and instructions.

Preferably, I would recommend gambling websites that have an ongoing signature campaign as they have the respective funds to at least pay for such services. The fact that they are also active in this forum means that they have a continuous customer support service that can cater to your problems in the event that you experience such.

Personally, I would also recommend avoiding gambling websites that offer KYC because it has the risk of compromising your personal information in the event that it gets compromised.
2284  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Sa tingin niyo ano mas maganda? on: March 20, 2022, 11:57:36 PM

Personally, I recommend the method of "pay to earn" since proven na it na may ROI na nagagawa. If ROI ka na sa Axie mo, then I see no reason for you to stop playing talaga.

Siguro it's more of an investment risk (?!) pero mataas ang need na capital dito.
2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good mobile wallet on: March 20, 2022, 11:53:08 PM
Hi!

I just wanted to use bitcoin.com wallet for android and it warned me because of high transaction fees (around 20 $).
I cancelled and started a new transaction and it did not warn me again (around 8$).
This was maybe 30 seconds apart and I have no idea what to think about this but is this maybe a cheap way to advertise BCH?

If yes I want to switch software of course. Which software for android is trustworthy?

Thx for all recommendations!

Reagards!

Currently, I have two (2) wallets that I am using right now, which are:

  • Coins.ph; and
  • Bitpay.

The reason on why I recommend using a wallet being locally offered in your country is that you can have access into paying payments on service/products. In my case (coins.ph), it offers services where I can directly convert my BTCs to cash, in which I can pay my monthly bills and/or purchase stuff from our local merchants.
On the other hand, I use Bitpay primarily because of bech32 addresss- in which some campaign signatures recommend in using and receiving my funds.
2286  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers aren't playing around, get serious with your money on: March 20, 2022, 04:55:29 PM
My advice is if anyone wants to invest money on new projects make sure the teams aren't Anonymous, scammers are hiding behind every cotton just to do their deeds successfully, p2e and metaverse projects of this days are having invincible team, be careful.
There is no need to know their real identity and this crypto market design to be anonymous. We can just say they are transparent by seeing their in and out transactions but know their names, it is out of our control but it was theirs. And besides, even we know their names, personal background, and yet we can't sure that they are legit developers, as in many cases scammers use others' identities. What we need most is to have the research, we have to spend more time doing this.

As someone who has been reporting scam projects under the altcoin section, a website which contains incomplete information about the whole project itself is definitely a red flag. Like, why would the developers post a website of their project if it is still under construction? Better to avoid posting than to post something that can raise lots of red flags.

With regard to team pictures, I do not mind if they do not post their identities. What bothers me is that some projects post pictures of cliparts or stock pictures which definitely is a red flag. If they seem to hide their identities under the guise of cartoonish pictures, then it will raise some concerns about their overall genuineness.
2287  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 20, 2022, 04:27:49 PM
Money and a budget is crucial. We're not just talking about the costs of setting up a casino, including license and things like that. But you also need a large budget to be able to pay out players, which is often a bigger expense than the cost of the software itself. It is not the case that everything suddenly runs automatically when you start. You should also invest money in promotions and advertisements on the forum.

What you mentioned is definitely true- without a big budget and capital, the casino is bound to fail at some points since it will not be able to efficiently withdraw cash of its players. With this problem in mind, this will most likely result to withdrawal and account issues which would be the downfall of the casino.

Along with a sizeable and relatively large capital, I think having a good and active customer support service is vital to the success of an online gambling casino. Given that it exists solely on the internet, gamblers from all over the world would be messaging and communicating with them on a daily basis.
2288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams now the second largest in the world on: March 20, 2022, 02:51:17 PM
This is the reason why you need to avoid shitcoins and pick only Bitcoin if you want to start to invest on crypto space. After 13 years created, Bitcoin never ever scam anyone until now. If there's an article discuss about Bitcoin scams, pretty sure it's either exchange, investment company, recoverable funds etc are the scammer, not Bitcoin.

I think it is more of the shitcoins and memecoins who are involved in the scamming process- like developers would create such coins and the "pump-and-dump" scheme where they would pull out their investments and sell majority of the coins.

Unfortunately, anything that exists online would be a candidate for scams. Since cryptocurrencies wholly exist in the internet and creating a coin is something that can be done by everyone, it is a target for newbies who are JUST starting their experience and journey in the crypto world.

But like what OP mentioned, BTC in itself is NOT a scam- but most scams derive their existence primarily on BTC itself which is very unfortunate.
2289  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paymaya will launch their crypto-friendly “Maya Bank” in Q1 2022! on: March 20, 2022, 02:21:29 PM
Source: https://bitpinas.com/business/paymaya-crypto-bank-q1-2022/

I think malaking news ito sa atin mga kapwa-Pinoy crypto peeps! I am a Paymaya user myself, so I think massive adoption is already happening na. While majority of the banks (except Unionbank and maybe a handful) are anti-crypto, at least ito they are moving forward at hindi magpahuli sa trend. Same thing rin sa GCash na plano mag adopt crypto.

Anu sa tingin nyu guys? Alam ko may mga sariling opinion kayu tungkol dito, so feel free to express it here. Salamat!

Like what I mentioned din before, any implementation that will at least make cryptocurrencies globally and/or nationwide accepted is definitely beneficial in the long run. The fact na gagawa na din si GCash ng kanilang sariling wallet for cryptocurrencies means na talagang lumalaki and unstoppable ang growth nito sa bansa natin.

It is only a matter of time until na ma-integrate na din ang cryptocurrencies sa payment ng mga services/products dito sa bansa. Siguro ang mangyayare din nito is that ang mga merchants ay papayag na din mag accept ng crypto and sobrang magiging beneficial ito sa bansa.
2290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens to One's Bitcoin if Death Occurs? on: March 20, 2022, 01:59:48 PM
Private key is access to your Bitcoin. So make sure you do have back up for private key of your wallet. Depends on wallet you use, it can be either private key or mnemonic seed. You must back it up and have a few backups for recovery later.

Recovery can be done by you or your family members (in case you pass away unfortunately). Of course if you prepare for sudden accidents and have clear idea on who will inherit your Bitcoin, you should let them know about what they should do in case you die.

This should actually conclude what OP is asking on his question.

Generally speaking, your wallet contains your private keys in which only you shall have access. In the event of an unfortunate death, the wallet can be accessed but the BTCs inside cannot be transferred from one wallet to another without providing your private keys/passwords. In order to remedy this problem, the only way could be by providing your wallet information to your most trusted friend and/or family member so they could keep it in trust or as an extra measure of security.

There are tons of wallets with a few number of BTCs inside. Unfortunately, there is no way for it to be recovered or to be transferred if the owner of such wallet did not disclose its private key to another fellow member.
2291  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DUELBITS.COM STOLE 545$ FROM ME PROOF on: March 20, 2022, 12:14:13 PM
~snip~
Besides, this is a very small amount, and it was clear that he wanted to bet on a single event (which has a lower limit than expected). Duelbits has the right to uphold their ToS, of course, but to me this is an honest mistake.
^ Because OP did not read the TOS and that is the reason why the casino did not allow the withdrawal request because there are wager requirements and this was on the TOS that they should uphold. This is very common, people think that the casinos are can be used as a coin mixer as well and they will move out their coin to a clean wallet which is no one can trace on it, probably that was the purpose of OP and thinking that way. However, this honest mistake was nothing to do, Duelbits will still no need to blame.

I just cannot imagine that a trusted and well-reputable gambling website would go on to such extent as to steal $54 from a player.

Like what I mentioned before, it takes years of consistency and effort for a gambling website to earn its reputation. Another thing, it has to offer several promotions and services in order to at least attract more people into trying out their gambling website. I really doubt that duelbits would risk ruining their reputation for such a relatively small amount of money. Probably, it is OP who was not able to read the TOS of the website which thus experienced this unfortunate scenario.
2292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 20, 2022, 02:29:02 AM
The beauty about this 2022 F1 season is that all the teams are well-scattered among the places. Since there is a new car and new regulations, all of the teams are placed on the drawing board figuring out the most plausible aerodynamic crafts to make their cars faster. Unlike the previous season, Mercedes and Redbull were among the teams that showed dominance throughout the entire grand prix.

But the biggest difference is, all of the teams currently have a chance to at least snatch the first pole position in 2022 Bahrain GP. It was such a good sight to see Ferrari back on track again- Leclerc getting that pole position into quali. That is why, I am so excited for this season!
2293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: March 19, 2022, 06:38:46 PM
Is 1$ investment in crypto every day enough? I'm making up to 10$ per day and I don't want something that will tie me down financially since I have other things I'm using the money for aka responsibilities so all I can afford is 1$ per day, also is BTC the best option with this 1$ per day?

1$/day, so that amounts to around $365/year on investment on cryptocurrencies. I guess that the returns would be relatively profitable on your end especially that the value of cryptocurrencies are inflationary by nature. Though you have to clarify in which "cryptocurrency" you are referring to. If you mean by investing 1$/day in BTC, then you are at least HODLing for long-term which would be considered profitable on your end.

If you aim on diversifying your portfolio by investing into other cryptocurrencies, then you may also profit but this also depends on which altcoin you are focusing on.
2294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Casinos invest on endorsement from celebrities on: March 19, 2022, 06:34:14 PM
Should casinos invest in the endorsement of celebrities just like what Stakes is doing or it's better to just stick with giveaways contests and maintain their reputation, we know we all know the high cost of celebrity endorsement should other casinos follow Stake's lead to partner or pay celebrities to promote them.

If these casinos can handle the payment of premiums in order to use celebrities as advertisement, then I do not see a reason on why not to. It says a lot about the overall aspect, quality, management, and funds of a certain casino if they can invest on a certain celebrity- it is like you see that their intentions is for long-term.

Though advertisements done by celebrities is just one of the factors that separates a quality casino from a low-tier one, you should always choose a casino which you deemed fits best with your standards. Always go for other relatively important factors before choosing in order to at least maximize it.
2295  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: March 18, 2022, 06:38:21 PM
<snip>

Most likely will because $900 a piece is the lowest price possible for the Rollbots so anyone that is whitelisted should be taking this advantage. Not to mention that the starting price for the dutch auction will be 2x of the whitelist sale so if things get sold out on average of $1500 a piece then everyone on the whitelist sale will be getting atleast 50% profit already
I doubt that they will sell it immediately, but maybe some will do. But in my personal opinion, it is better to hold it and use the casino perks and bonuses that you can get while holding it. We are not sure how long it will take to regain that $1000- investment on buying these rollbots in presale. Anyways, I am curious to know more about the specifics on how the holders can gain bonuses from the casino.

Just a quick question, are NFTs really that profitable? I still have some doubts whether to invest into something that is digital for lots of money- like what do people see in these NFTs?

While I do understand that this is the modern age Mona Lisa, do you guys think that this trend will continue over the next few years or do you guys think that such trend will somehow "tone-down" to the point where it will reach a certain equilibrium in its price?
2296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 18, 2022, 05:55:48 PM
Donation + discount when paying in BTC can be combined. Discounts could encourage people to use bitcoin and bring mass adoption closer through more users. In the end, BTCitcoin should circulate in society / economy, like blood in a living organism, and not stagnate and stale.

What can you say about this option? Will it be legal to use it?

Just to add to your constructive post, I think one factor is the overall legalization of the use of bitcoin around the world. With some countries releasing their stance on the use of BTCs, there are people who view it as something negative which adds to their ongoing biases towards cryptocurrencies.

If the government of some countries acknowledge and view BTCs as something that can be transacted for the purchase of products/services, more people would be inclined to use it. I guess another factor is by making it legal tender to their respective countries- like employees may have the option of receiving their salary in cryptocurrencies, etc.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: March 18, 2022, 03:14:25 PM
We can't say anyone done know how to play chess. Chess is the easiest game to learn and only to play you need to use of some tactics. If the tactics failed, you may forced to loss at the end.The most important one of the chess is, you need to take a pieces of the opponent. If they keep lose of piece, surely they will loss his patience. Once the opponent lose the patience, surely he will do a mistake. It essential one to choose the chance ti win the game.

Again let me reiterate, chess is easy to learn but very difficult to master. It will take years of mental struggle and training for a person to develop at least the right amount of opening techniques, traps, and other tactics. But what makes chess so interesting is its endgame where even the top players in the world stills struggle. Even if you make all the accurate moves, one wrong move in the endgame (thus losing tempo) can cause you the game.

Imagine, playing for more than 5 hours (classical match) then you just lost for one wrong or inaccurate move on the board.
2298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: March 18, 2022, 02:01:05 PM
The game of Chess is part of the very few games I didn't know how to play. I realize that chess is better learnt when younger in school because at least you have all the free time to throw around. I watched few times people that played but it wasn't so much a popular game played around freely, may be it was a reason. However, Chess is highly calculative. You need to read up the opponent next move and try to checkmate it, I think that's mostly the technique of the game.
really? at your age you don't know how to play chess? you are part of the few people in the world that knows nothing about chess playing lol.

I think it is somehow rude to say that he does not know how to play chess- even old people are unaware of on how every chess piece works!

I agree with most of the people mentioned that there is a fine line between playing vs knowing the respective move of the pieces. As someone who has been playing chess ever since my childhood, I still struggle a bit to increase my ranking as this sport involves mental and psychological battle with your opponent. I do believe, however, that his sport takes into account the natural talent of a person vs a hardworking one.

2300  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what could be Vladimir Putin intension for the war? on: March 14, 2022, 05:24:02 PM
Putin does not care to start world war 3
Maybe to try to form back USSR
Maybe he actually want what he is saying, that he do not want NATO expansion to the Eastern Europe. Dictatorial government that against NATO can say that.

Maybe after Ukraine, Poland or Moldova can be Putin's next target. UK, US, EU and UN generally are all cowards, Putin's ambition is more and if given this access, he will use bravery to create more nuclear weapons to threaten NATO not to interfere as he continuing to destroy lives and properties in Ukraine neighbor countries as he is doing in Ukraine now.

Similarly to the post that I replied to, I mentioned that it is not Ukraine that Putin really wants- it is about making a statement against the whole world that Russia is not afraid of starting a war. In the event that he successfully captures Ukraine, this will not only threat other countries but this will be a global problem that any country may face since he will definitely go to war another time soon.

The war between Russia and Ukraine is just truly heartbreaking. Blood does not have to be spilled and countless of lives were traded due to selfish idealism caused by such leader.
