2321  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustadice – Next Generation Dice on: March 11, 2022, 11:34:14 PM
You simply cannot guarantee a profit from playing dice at Bustadice. In the long term it is statistically impossible to overcome the house edge and use a casino game like this as a revenue stream. If it were possible, why would Daniel even keep this site going? Bustadice is not a charity.

If you really want people to trust your system, you'll have to prove that you are profitable after an arbitrary # of dice rolls, like ~10,000,000 rolls. Setting a profit goal is not a reliable metric at all.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. There is a reason on why gambling websites (in general) have house edges- at the end of the day, they are still business whose goal is to earn money and profit.

Like what you mentioned, statistically, it is near impossible to profit from a streak of gambling activities. With the house edge being present, the more you bet, the more chances that it will impact the edge against you. That is why, gambling is a game of risk in which it is essential that you only bet just for the thrill of it or due to the fact that you just want to test your luck out.
2322  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Another KYC requirements ng coins.ph? on: March 11, 2022, 11:15:11 PM

Have you experienced any issue ba bro during the additional KYC requirements?

Based purely on my experience, I think it took me roughly ~3 weeks para ma-accept yung verification level ko at para ma-verify din lahat ng mga pinasa ko na KYC documents. Though sobrang hassle talaga, I do think na si coins.ph ay nag cocomply lang din sa requirements provided by the government since patuloy nga na lumalake ang cryptocurrencies dito sa Pilipinas, unlike noong una na medyo maluwag pa sila.
2323  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 11, 2022, 11:01:59 PM

Should be a good initiative as a form of peaceful rally.

However, Putin won't likely feel the negative effect of it. Prior to the start of the invasion, Putin already anticipates that some boycott or any related thing might happen on the process not just in gambling platforms but for the other sectors, businesses, industries etc. as well. He surely knows about it and the consequences their country will face once he push on that war which he actually did.

Russia might not feel the impact of it on their economy for a short-run but it should be if the on-going invasion won't be stopped for long.

Like what I previously mentioned, this movement is not about letting Putin realize the impact of his decisions but to unify forum members that there exists such movement against Russia. It is more on the fact that there are people who are willing to support Ukraine in this war. We all know that by boycotting Russian gambling websites, it will be very minuscule to such effect but having a designated number of people who support such movement will impact the thing as a whole.

Again, such war is very unnecessary and unfortunate. The least thing that we can do is to support Ukrainians on this war and hope that everything will be solved in the end.
2324  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin ATMs forced to shutdown in the UK on: March 11, 2022, 04:52:39 PM
I’ve used various atms from 2017 - 2019 around the UK - never had any KYC. A few atms wanted some KYC details for over £500 , but you could do multiple transactions up to £500. BUT, the fees were crazy - minimum 7.5%.
I always wondered when regulation would come and so it appears it’s arrived !

Interesting, I think the shutdown was due to the fact that the fees were unregulated to the point that it has unbridled discretion as to the amount being paid? Not complete sure but all we can do is speculate. Since it has been proven that no KYC function was needed, I think I am leaning towards the regulation of the fees not being faithful to the statutes of UK.

Though I think it is also due to the fact that it may not be licensed perse or it did not comply with the regulations provided by law?
2325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 10, 2022, 04:10:29 PM
Heartbroken parents say Hull teacher was victim of 'predatory' gambling industry. Whom to blame for this sad incident ?

Why not try to find the root cause here first. Where were the parents when their 16 years old son was addicted to gambling ? They should have monitored his activities and this situation would not have raised. You cannot blame the doctors on insufficient medical treatments when the son could have be taught at home to avoid excessive gambling. I would consider it a negligence on parents behalf as it was their first duty to keep an eye on their children.

Unfortunately, this type and kind of behaviour is common for people who recently lost their loved one due to something that they associate with. For example, if a drug addict unexpectedly dies, the rational behavior and thought is to consider that the latter died from drug addiction or substance abuse. But this is where it gets tricky- what if such person has an ongoing medical disease which is unknown to the parents?

Again, while I significantly emphatize with the parents, you cannot just blatantly expect and blame on gambling. There has to be some sort of explanation on why the son died which may be outside gambling.
2326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss City of Lugano to Make Bitcoin Legal Tender on: March 07, 2022, 05:08:47 PM
If it's true that it will be legal tender for tax purposes, it's very good news because that means that there will only be taxes on profits from it (and perhaps other taxes, but only whatever applies to fiat in Switzerland, so not taxation of transactions, for sure). While it's generally worse than a formal declaration of Bitcoin as legal tender, it's a significant step towards adoption, and it can encourage the usage of Bitcoin specifically as money, not as a form of investment. But in terms of the impact on the price, I don't think there will be any or would have been if the title were accurate.

Anything that has to do with the development of BTC in countries is definitely welcomed especially if we see that countries are starting to see its potential and widespread use.

In the event that Lugano does indeed accept BTC as a form of payment for taxes, then that will be the start of potential implementations in the future. Its development and use has to start somewhere- and they chose for the payment of taxes, which implies that the government recognizes its use and capability in their future transactions.

I just hope that countries would soon adopt and use this as an example in order to integrate cryptocurrencies in our day-to-day transactions.
2327  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 07, 2022, 05:01:48 PM
Russia is banned by Fifa and Uefa which I'm really upset with. Why the fuck they have to do dirty politics with sports?
Where was Fifa when other dominating countries had dominated some countries, I'm talking about few years back.
I really don't support this. I agree that what Russia is doing is bad, I strongly oppose any war around. But that doesn’t mean we have to ignore their casinos.

Do you really think some national team will play with Russia? Maybe even in Moscow - a capital that has attacked a peaceful country and killing civilians?
You may not know it, but even before FIFA announced a boycott of Russia, the football national teams of the countries that were supposed to play with Russia (Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic) had announced themselves that they would not play against Russia. No one would want to play, so for FIFA it was just a formality.

In my opinion, as an international community, we should put pressure on Russia in every possible (peaceful) way, so boycotting their casinos is, absolutely right!

Not just in sports but in every aspect of sports including motorsports (e.g. F1 decided to withdraw their grand prix in Russia this year, etc.). With this move, Russia would have to suffer dire consequences that would very much impact their economic standpoint. With this kind of boycott to Russian gambling platforms, though it may not fully affect Putin directly, it can somehow start a movement indirectly which will give notice to all the gamblers about the current situation.

Again, most large businesses have started pulling out their investments and plans on Russia this year due to the war. The citizens of their country, unfortunately, have to suffer such consequences due to their barbaric leader.
2328  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ukrainian Scam Donation Posts and Users on: March 07, 2022, 04:34:56 PM
I have seen a number of TikToc users posting live streams of what is likely to be a sound recording of someone crying, and a repeating video of an old building in poor condition, with the caption saying they need money to escape.

It is sad that people are taking advantage of the situation for their own personal benefit.

Unfortunately, there are people who are twisted enough to take advantage of such situation purely for their own advantage and benefit. With all the donations that are being sent globally, there are people who create fake addresses and videos in hopes of scamming kind-hearted and genuine donators.

I really appreciate the list you provided, DaveF! With all the number of scams being scattered across the internet, a board like this is definitely essential in alerting willing donators to take precaution and warning before donating.
2329  Economy / Economics / Re: China's strategy on the Ukraine invasion war on: March 07, 2022, 04:21:53 PM
Yea, not hard to understand China's brain. But hard to realize the role and when they will play on the field. So far China will never support those supported by the US. This is basic logic, which means China supports Russia. More importantly, China always looks from where they could take advantage and they just follow their own strategy. However, the war wasn't expected and seems Russians do not intend to leave Ukraine. The war will be more dangerous if the US interferes there. Let's hope to stop the war.

I had a discussion with someone who is affiliated in the politics in our country. He extensively explained that during the arbitration between China and the Philippines over the Spratly Islands, China was never considering on going to war, although they released and stationed their troops on the islands they "claimed" to be theirs. Like what happened between Vietnam and China, though the latter attempted to "claim" that some of the islands were theirs, the former started releasing soldiers against China in which the latter failed to retaliate.

Again, China will always be there on the backlines observing the spoils of war. They fully understand that almost every country needs them since they are this economic and labor powerhouse where almost 90% of our household things are made.
2330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Disorder ? on: March 07, 2022, 04:03:26 PM
Is your country doing enough to inform people about the disorder? It's does require medical treatment first and foremost therefore I do think I would suggest anyone banning their accounts and asking help from social platforms to go to a certified therapist. It's not a joke and should not be taken lightly.

Do you think the laws needs improvement?
Do you think as the parents mentioned that Gambling industry has a *predatory* stance, is true?

As far as I know, in the Philippines, I am not personally aware if there are any projects or messages that cater specifically in resolving gambling or addiction problems. But I know that there are projects and videos that are being scattered through social media on supporting people on their respective mental health. I am not sure if such mental health projects include gambling addiction, but I have yet to see something that is so specific to a certain issue.

I do think that laws must be implemented in addressing mental health issues. Given that COVID has let people stay at their respective houses in which online gambling popularized, I just hope that these people would be able to recover from such.
2331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Currency Game on: March 07, 2022, 03:54:39 PM
Crypto currency game is a game plays by two or more players, and the means and Objects (Items) of the game are own by the individual players, that makes the game decentralized game.

The game is different from the traditional game in which the programmer ( the producer) own the products (items) and give it to the players.

But yet I don't know how to play the game in practical.

Please someone teach me how to play the game.

Your whole statement and request is very confusing- are you pertaining to a specific game called "crypto currency game" or are you looking for a game that uses the concept of the blockchain that somehow uses it in a manner applicable to gambling? Anyway, I hope you address the ambiguity as most people that replied are also confused on what type of game you are looking for.

If you really want to know the particulars, better if you could send a screenshot or the link of the game so we could fully help you.
2332  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to pilot CBDC project on: March 07, 2022, 03:02:38 PM
Just to clarify, when you mean by CBDCs ito yung tokens na mismong yung BSP yung gumawa at mag rerelease no? So in a way, similar din siya to BTC pero ang pagkakaiba is ginawa nila mismo yun?

To be honest, I think okay din naman na nagkaroon din yung bansa natin na may sariling token na mismong si BSP nag release. Pero in the long-run, it somehow defeats the purpose of decentralization- which is yung foundation mismo ng BTC and some cryptocurrencies.

Well anyway, anything that can somehow and indirectly support cryptocurrencies is definitely welcome kaya let's see where this goes!
2333  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin-instant credit?? on: March 07, 2022, 02:48:21 PM
Most of the gambling site offers an instant withdrawal if that's what you are looking for. However, it isn't possible to have an on-chain transaction without any confirmation as it will defeat the purpose of having a secured transaction that's happening on the blockchain.

Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos - This is a rundown of casinos regarding their min. withrawal/ fees.

Did I answered your question?

This pretty sums-up everything that you need to ask about confirmations and instant withdrawals.

If you do not understand the mechanism, there is a POW (proof-of-work) present in the blockchain which checks all the blocks if the correct address has been sent. That is where the miners fee comes from- they check these blocks to have a impenetrable defense which invalidates all possible hacks or scams in the transaction. While there may be gambling websites that offer instant withdrawals, you still have to wait a relatively small amount of time in order to receive your funds.
2334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A word of advices about cryptocurrencies on: March 07, 2022, 02:26:52 PM
Do some actual reading, and a lot of it. A lot of people thought watching YouTube of some pump and dumper would suffice. And no, I don't mean read Reddit shill threads and such; go read actual articles.

I think most newbies ask for advice on cryptocurrencies but they fail to realize that the internet is their friend. Everything can be searched due to the influx of search engine nowadays and everything is accessible. There are also lots of free courses on YouTube in which traders share their personal experiences in trading.

Ted Talks also do some of their episodes primarily on cryptocurrencies as they frequently discuss the complexity of the blockchain technology. There are also some articles about BTC. Compared before, there are tons of materials available online and the internet will be your best friend!
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: March 06, 2022, 11:59:04 PM
Nikita Mazepin's driving contract for Haas had been done as their sponsorship with Uralkali has been cut.
They had removed all logos of the sponsor from their car during the test race in Barcelona this past weekend.
A new driver for Haas will be announced this week for the team.

https://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/33419710/haas-terminates-contracts-russian-driver-nikita-mazepin-title-sponsor-uralkali

Just a quick question, what do you think about the move of Haas removing Mazepin from their current roster?

I mean, I genuinely feel sorry for the kid even if he showed some a**hole attitude from the past. I think he was slowly redeeming himself and proving that he can be a better driver from every race that he participated on. Though, I do agree that there are better racers that are more fit to be in the F1 league compared to him; so I somehow feel that Haas was just looking for the perfect escape outlet to replace Mazepin with a better driver.
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing Burnly, POB based blockchain - first code released on github on: March 06, 2022, 11:51:24 PM
Hi, upon checking the website, I noticed that there are some things that has to be achieved and completed. The whitepaper clearly mentioned that it is currently a "draft version" which I highly understand, but it is better if you could post everything clearly and concisely.

Another thing, the team members of the project contained some cartoonish design, not even with their real name/s disclosed. While I also understand the anonymity of the members, if that were the case, then it is outright better if you just remove it and not post it at all. Better to post nothing than to post something that may raise some doubts.

Anyway, I am just concerned that if you were to start this project investors might sway and deviate from their decision due to the website being incomplete. Good luck, OP.

2337  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: March 06, 2022, 11:33:15 PM
Expect nothing from them mate , they will never give back your funds that is a sure thing .

However, a few people managed to get their money back. Two complaints were positively considered even this week:

Never forget that those who claims to be having their funds back are questionable accounts that cannot prove clearly about their claiming , meaning they might be another SHILL ACCOUNT from the team that only provided to make good sounds of this scam site.

so try not to consider those and also these 2 mentioned had been waiting again for 3 days yet what is the update?
Even if they are real, 1XBIT will not regain their status so many old complaints are not addressed we can go back to last year for those complaints, if they want to regain their status they should first address the old one and they have to do it fast, fair and their decision should unquestionable.

It is very unfortunate that there are people who still defend this campaign. Though measures have been tackled by the campaign manager of 1xBit, I do think that they cannot erase their track history given that lots of people were not able to receive their funds and winnings. Not to mention, there have been reports that some account cannot withdraw their money from this gambling website.

Even if they do try to band-aid the solution by addressing some complaints, you cannot take away the fact that such project has been operating shenanigans ever since. Again, better to avoid than to cure- there are lots of gambling websites present so why still choose the one with such a bad history?
2338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: March 06, 2022, 04:26:57 PM
Stop following crypto influencers, those of you who like using YouTube videos to pick coins and tokens to invest in you need to hear this, those crypto influencers on YouTube are getting paid to promote those projects they are chilling, why would they promise you 2x or 5x when they aren't part of the team themselves? They did this because that's how they make their own money. He who have hears let him hear.

This tip also applies in general to scams being advertised throughout the internet. It takes lots and various of forms which can be extremely appealing to newbies who have little-to-no experience transacting into cryptocurrencies.

Unfortunately, cryptocurrency influencers have the power to compel their viewers to invest in a certain project due to this illusion that they know better than them. Instead of watching crypto influencers, you can listen to various YouTubers who explain investing without even forcing or telling you to invest in a certain project. In this way, you are not just learning but you are also avoiding being scammed at the same time.
2339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument. on: March 06, 2022, 03:10:52 PM
If they truly care about the environment as they claim they do, then we need to start from top of the list, because PoW is the least thing that consumes energy.
Exactly. It's clear that they're not banning it due to humanism or for the sake of the climate change, because they should have also behaved similarly to a gazillion other things. Their intention is to have more control over the people; the environmental disaster argument is just an alibi.

I think it is also more on the aspect of being entirely bias about cryptocurrencies. People that are somehow close-minded tend to believe stuff that are against cryptocurrencies even if there are other aspect or things that are way more harmful to the environment. They tend to believe their own biases even if actual proof and facts are showed to the contrary- which is somehow sad given the full potential of BTC in our day-to-day transactions.
2340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 06, 2022, 02:51:08 PM
LeBron is putting on a show right now against the Warriors. He is playing center tonight and already has 51 points with 6 minutes left. Westbrook playing well tonight also. This is the Lakers play they need to be winning games. It looks like this game is going to come down to the wire and I wouldn’t put it past LeBron to try and go for 60. It’s turning into a three point contest, so the Lakers might have their work cut out for them… I’d get to a TV if you can to see the end of this one.

The game that Lakers showed tonight is like a blast from the past- all of these relatively old superstar players did their roles like they were at their peak. With all the boos and backlash that the Lakers have been receiving, this game is a testament to their innate and natural skill as a player.

Though I am heavily rooting for Warriors to win this year's playoffs, I just hope that this will be the start of the momentum that the Lakers need. Lebron James is just a phenomenal of a player given his athleticism and 3-point shots. It was also nice to see Melo in shape, hitting those perimeters and clutch 3s.
