Regarding AM: Five different Chinese friends told me that FC really disappeared. Four of them has no connection to AM/RM. I don't really know, but I find the coins movement very strange. I can think of three reasons: coercion, AM decided to TO and disappear (e.g. do self mine for their benefit only), AM decided to disappear/hibernate and split the coins betweens the various Chinese stakeholders. I don't have any other explanation. It's all un-based speculations by me. Regarding BMT price hike, I will refer you the following: https://twitter.com/bitfurygeorge/status/575164367370461184I certainly hope FC is fine and safe somewhere it is all fun and games until someone kidnaps you and steals all your bitcoins. I share your hopes. I really like him. I also hope that all will be resolved in a way that will make AMHash customers whole. Guy Doesn't look good... update : 1. We have lost contact with Friedcat more than 40 days, we are now still focusing on finding him. 2. A lot of evidences we have found shows that he is safe, which is the only good news recently. In addition, all rumour around the community are baseless and untrustworthy. We know so far nothing about where has he been and where is he at the moment. 3. We have to focus on finding him currently so there are indeed some delay on replying email of sale@bitquan.com. However, since we have all records of your emails so it is only a problem of time, please understand and be patient. 4. AMHASH project is not from sale team of ASICMINER, we know nothing about the deal between Friedcat and ROCKMINER, no one else has seen the contract between them either ,therefore, we sale department of ASICMINER is not be in charge of AMHASH project, please be patient to wait till we find FC. Is the new chip in production Phasebird? Or what is the status of that project? hello, BE300 project is still on going with the rest of AM team as I know. however ,since AM lost FC, a lot of decisions are probabaly hard to make. In terms of our hardware sale department,we have saved all emails and will try to re-build our bussiness team as quick as we can. please wait the upcoming statement from the board of AM. It is not ongoing. The sample chips were ordered on a shared wafer last year. However, production chips were NEVER ordered, so nothing is ongoing Phasebird. Even if some board members finally decide to do their job, the first order of business is to get rid of Dave. Then if they put together funds and order the chips, how many months before a working product can begin to ship? By that time it's irrelevant. Whatever monies would be spent, would again be a complete waste. It's over for AM. Maybe something can be rebuilt with new real management and a proper sales team but it won't be AM anymore and would be a gamble bigger than AM.

I finally have all the paperwork in front of me to file for a cc refund. I pray I am not to late. Granted, the way he shifted, and stalled DHL has created a headache for me to prove I never got my order. Anyone else who got scammed by him please give me a summation so I can finally send this in, with others actual accounts. 12.5k usd is a hard pill to swallow.
Which thief? Martin or Matt?

BMT price hike... meh. Whatever the reason I think it is good cover to get out of the consumer miner game. Make it so unreasonable with pre-orders and price hikes that you get a tidy profit off the backs of people who just don't get it consumer mining is done. Read that as DO NOT BUY MINERS FOR HOME OR SMALL OPERATIONS USE. I don't see how anyone at this point is still mining at home or thinking about a tiny mine. (Unless you know something about a SHA256 altcoin that is not merge mined and that others don't know about the potential of that coin that is.) BULK hydro and hardware with cheap warehousing space. Ukraine? China?

Asicminer chips on hold rumor has it.As little information seems to be officially coming out on the ASICMINER / FriedCat front we all are left wondering about the companies future. I can verify I heard this too from an inside source...the project is on hold until FC reappears Disclaimer: Un-based speculation, no source behind it, just me thinking. Someone should check if the coins that were moved from the various AM wallets ended up in known exchanges addresses. TO cost + initial wafer ordering will be anything between $2.5M and $10M Again, disclaimer: Un-based speculation, no source behind it, just me thinking. Did you just hint big time? Also doing this as a smoke screen to hide a new chips development could be news. Seems like BITMAIN thinks he didn't order up anything according to their spies. Certainly something to work through for those with a BLOODHOUND and some sparetime. Chip hype...

May group bay 112 kwp panel
1 kw solar panel 110 euro + MWST with transport to Croatia next week delivery
Might be able to get broken/defective/shattered panels without any warranty or guarantees for that price. But my local salvage company pays more for broken solar panels than that, so I doubt anyone in the US would ship panels to you at that price. You might be able to obtain individual solar cells and put them together yourself, for close to that price? Might be a fun project, lot of work though, stringing the cells and encasing them properly. I stopped doing that when the price dropped below $4/watt. The large scale manufacturers just make the finished product so much better than a hobbyist can achieve. There is a lot of details that go into a finished solar panel, even the glass is manufactured with special anti reflective glazing. USA is exspensive. market for solar this panel is not broken/defective/shattered panels this is panel year production 2010 .bankruptcy company.used in 8 solar field in germany. and i totally bay-paid and sold 168 kw and have group reservation for another 168 kw but,no more panels. in 2 days i easy sold 168 kw http://www.e-vozila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5562 warranty or guarantees is for pussy. who don't risk don't make profit. If the panels are working to specification, it sounds like an amazing deal. Why did the solar fields go bankrupt? At that price offering I'm amazed no one stepped in to buy the facility and keep it running. There must be a reason. Power storage. You need batteries and potentially solar tracking to make such a system a truly 24 hour solution for powering miners or homes unless it is on grid or grid tie solution. LiFePo4 is likely a great solution but the costs of battery storage at the outset of a project is difficult and very costly. MPPT's are not cost effective? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKrh9tdXDX8

Bitmain Price HikesNeither a thumb up or down in my opinion. Anyone who has been buying small amounts of miners is not being realistic about ROI anyhow. So this price increase and pre-order is a default setting as such by Bitmain to get themselves out of the consumer marketplace. It is the final nail in the coffin of the home to small miner. If you want lower priced units you will be buying in BULK or B2B. So it is clearly game over for consumer mining sales. The only potential might be DIY boards with Spondoolies Tech or Bitmaintech chips. But given the costs involved and no chance for sales to exceed the investment it makes little or no sense to build boards for the consumer market. It is over.

So at no point does ability to ROI come into play for your choice of miners? I understand you are an enthusiast Philip, but your opinion on this board holds sway. I don't think it's very considerate to encourage purchase of this hardware for people who have any intention to make (or even not lose) money, when it would require minimum 4 months to ROI without even factoring electricity cost or difficulty increases. That is just not realistic, and I don't know how you could "like the pricing" by any stretch. The pricing before the increase (with or without forseeable difficulty increases on the horizon) was not incredibly lucrative, it is on a different level of crazy now.
edit: amazing how this one topic has spread across pretty much every thread in hardware. Sorry dogie, my only intention on posting here earlier was to bring up the matter of Bitmain and pre-orders, and the fact that you should downgrade them on the next update in the context of pre-orders.
Have to agree 100% Finksy. There is certainly a 'fiduciary' responsibility for anyone posting hardware reviews and guides etc to warn consumers of bad deals but this guide in particular is not concerned with that aspect and never has. It is primarily concerned with telling you what hardware is "good" although it lags significantly behind the consumers in what really is value for money given how long it takes to see ratings adjusted to the reality of the marketplace. Currently there are no such ROI hardware deals available to the average small user and there will never be a time when that is possible ever again. Only with economies of scale in both electricity and purchasing power of hardware can anyone hope to recoup their investment and that has been the case for about 4 to 5 months now. It is disingenuous to keep promoting mining hardware especially to the less knowledgeable or newer people who come into this forum subsection. As for Bitmain I don't think it is right or wrong what price they set. Simply DO NOT BUY over priced or pre-order units simple. Be a smart consumer. Edit: note that dogie sells his freebie miners in order to recoup his time invested. He doesn t keep the equipmement to mine it to recoup. That is a very telling point as he knows that the only way to get his return on his invested time is to dump miners fast for quick cash which is the only way currently to break even after a short mining run. Hypocritically he still promotes miner sales.

Alot of people here did. He is actually from the Haverford area. He has no intentions of operating in the US again by his own words. But he certainly is trying to start other businesses. For all of us who were victimized by this asshole (11.5k here) it sucks. For those in the future miners you can learn from this a cautionary tale. Do your research on the vendors. If you cant find a name behind the company, stay away. Alternately if you cant get consistently good feedback about a vendor, stay away. Right now there are few vendors. BITMAINTech and Spondoolies-tech are really the only two beginner friendly mining companies out there. There are other solidly reputable companies but IMO these top the list.
Only advice I can give to anyone here reading this. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!
That is the key. RESEARCH. It really doesn't take a lot of poking around here in bitcointalk hardware to narrow down your choices of hardware. Then again at this point no one should be spending a few thousand on mining hardware. There is no upside to mining under the Petahash range. At this point home or small mining is dead and people should avoid it at all costs. Potentially owning BTC by purchasing it and holding it seems to be a good gamble but again only if you are willing to lose it all. NEVER invest in Bitcoin be it coins or mining if you are not able to lose your entire investment. Many people have lost as a result of AMT and other equally shady outfits in hardware, cloud-mining, exchanges and pools.

20 mins ago, we received a very important intelligence and we decide to increase the price of S5 by 20%. A certain competitor which we pay attention has not submit any mass production order to its wafer supplier. Only a small batch of pilot run has been submitted before the Chinese New Year. It has confirmed a long but uncertain guess that the aggressiveness get in trouble. The best time for mining bitcoin comes right now. Source: https://www.facebook.com/Bitmain/posts/859782150729679Only 1 competitor I can think of.... Whats going on Guy(s), is this price gouging, or based on real intelligence? Asicminer? Dead / Soon to be Dead? Bitfury? Very Large B2B only. Spondoolies? Shipping. Bitmain? Shipping. Just a few in the B2B end of things. S5's are the last models available now for purchase SP31 are the last models available in stock from Spondoolies $2,075.00: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp31-yukon-shipping-from-stockSo what do you expect is going to happen price wise? Prices go down? Do you remember when there were no units to be had?

You are correct and I sure wouldn't want to live there "Newfoundland was a province of Canada from 1949 to 2001, now known as Newfoundland and Labrador." Then clearly moose hunting is not a priority for you. I'd move there if it didn't mean divorce . Great place to live. Great place to put miners.

Thanks for the info Oregon Mines.
Is DG Rollins LLC or you 'OregonMines.com' related to Matt Carson aka bobsag3 or Minersource.net in anyway? And if so are you still in partnership with Matt as you were before?
Is Matt Carson working for Oregon Mines or part of the DG Rollins LLC? You seem to have avoided that question. The only person pushing this thread down a rabbit hole is Loshia. Typically off topic and has nothing to do the with the thread. Simple questions being asked and answered. The only person that is being impolite is Loshia here, which doesn't surprise anyone given his defense of Martin and Technobit and their scams right up to present times. His personal and sustained attacks on me is well documented. Even though he was warned not to do this by forum moderators he continues to harass me in countless threads. It is fair to ask what Matt Carson's involvement in this is, given the mess he has left behind with a number of deals here in these forums. Any potential customers of DG Rollins LLC should rightly know if he is involved. If he is why isn't Matt coming clean and resolving the countless problems he has with former Minersource customers? Does DG Rollins LLC have contact with Matt Carson? If they do can they not persuade Matt Carson to resolve issues he has with his customers? Given those trips to Black Arrow and Spondoolies involved DG Rollins LLC and Matt Carson together there is certainly a reason to question the current standing and relationship of DG Rollins LLC and Matt Carson. The fact the "Loshia" is involved should also give any customer pause on anything related to a company, he seems only to post in an attempt to defame others and away from the specific question being asked. Smoke screens seem to be unnecessary here given that the principals are willing and able to respond to polite questions about who is involved in their business without resorting to name calling like Martin and Loshia did when questioned about their less than reputable business practices. Clearly there is a "relationship" with Minersource and that might give at least former customers worry if not the whole community. That is why I asked the question so that consumers at least know a relationship did / does exist with these companies. The consumers who might be interested in what is being offered can now measure that information and weigh the risks involved. Without asking that question it was clearly never going to be brought up voluntarily by Oregon Mines. Sample complaints from Loshia favorite company Technobit: This is getting nowhere, the guy isn't even reacting anymore here. Lying about shipping week after week, looks as if this is going like minersource. Pooofff, and they are gone!! not reacting...not replying to contact...email...nothing...looks like this time they are stealing our money another time?

They want to make someone create an account to even file a complaint. I'm not giving them my damn contact information. I would suggest others be careful doing so as well.
I think SP should do this. But hey, at least it shows that Spondoolies as a brand is an asset i China! Some in China are known for hacking to obtain technical designs on products from corporations, etc... I would be careful if I were SP. Aliexpress / Alibaba Of course it is reputable. Some of the companies that sell are not. But they do try very hard to maintain a watch on that in Aliexpress and Alibaba. Rating system is pretty good. In 3 years of using Aliexpress I have hand one complaint about non-shipment and my money was returned by the company after Aliexpress intervened.

Where has Asicminer / FriedCat gone? Not a very organized fellow are the rumors I hear about FC but is this just a throw your arms in the air run for the hills to retool and relaunch your company because you are overwhelmed or are we looking at the end of Asicminer? Clearing out offices without notice seems more than odd. 2 months without contact is even stranger still. after chinese new year. amhash announced they didn't get cloud mining bitcoin from asicminer. we found that: 1, friedcast lost contact from 2 month ago. 2, asicminer moved from their shenzhen office to some place in early of Feb. 3, other member of asicminer kept silence. wtf happened in china, company corrupted one by one.

Huh, the Canadian province of Labrador has about those electricity prices. For big customers they go down to almost $0.02/kwh on the nose. I heard kuwait has power that is $0.01/kwh. And venezuela goes down to $0.0063/kwh (if you use the actual exchange rate). I've got a feeling the latter two countries might be difficult to set up datacenters in, though. Heh.
It is technically Newfoundland and Labrador, rarely do Canadians call Labrador a province they do say Newfoundland though. I'd hate to correct a Canadian, but I think it is really called Newfoun'land. La culture, c'est comme la confiture. Moins on en a, plus on l'étale! The name of province is what I disputed and it is typical that Canadians call the province Newfoundland not just Labrador. As he said he was indicating the difference as people might recognize that is in fact where most of the power is generated and is cheaper than on Nfld. They are both parts of one province not a big deal just odd to hear Labrador mentioned as a province. Back on his thoughts... Ya I bet the rates are cheaper in Labrador lots of hydro projects up there. The Lower Churchill's two installations at Gull Island and Muskrat Falls will have a combined capacity of over 3,074 MW and have the ability to provide 16.7 TWh of electricity per year.

My email has been swamped... as well as tickets. Good chance it got lost. I will be offering as much of a refund policy as possible, If the order has not been sent off to BA yet, I offer 100% refunds. As far as late shipments, that is something that I will have to think about as we get closer to release date.
Well when would the order be sent off to BA after you receive the payment? And I'd really like a good answer on the late shipment thing to help solidify my purchase. How's Matt doing with those refunds? MinerSource is gone bud, taken everyone's money and run His partner ain't gone. I see nearly 144 SP20's mining away. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=976172.msg10676569#msg10676569
