1501  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Novello Technologies a scam? on: June 05, 2014, 05:11:09 PM
Seeing alot of shady behavior that should make anyone question what the motivation is for some to attack new companies coming on here.

You're joking right?

It is shady behavior for a company with no reputation, no history, and no names to offer preorders for a theoretical product.

It's even shadier to suggest this company is not shady.

With every new post from novello I am more convinced it is a scam.

I'm curious: What is the source of your passion regarding this company or scam?

On the contrary side, seeing how they are calmly answering your questions will put some people at ease about this not being a scam. You were a big BA supporter for a long time, and may still be, and at this time there is no definitive answer about BA being able to deliver what they promised. Your motivations for being so passionate against this are questionable.

We could equally ask... why are you so fixated on what people Jimmothy backed in the past? Are you part of the Novello team in disguise?

Let us look at the facts.

No evidence right now to support either fraud or scam or that they are a reliable company. Better to be very hard on them and demand real answers regarding their key management and design team. You don't throw out a proposal like they have unless they have a team. Maybe they are hiding something or someone as they don't seem to want to show their team to anyone yet.

I have to agree with the idea that anyone coming to this forum with hat in hand must be taken through some serious vetting before anyone should put a single penny in their pockets. There has always been people shouting louder at the "competitors" who are viewed as up and comers or threatening their favorites market share. Fanbois will be fanbois but in this case you have to seriously review everything these people are saying and do not invest a penny until you know who or what you are dealing with.

Some faces with experience sure made pre-ordering at Stech easier for me. Do you not think it would be better to list out your team and their experience?

Remember you came to the forum hat in hand so it is well within the scope to ask before we even consider the proposal who makes up the team? That is a pretty fair question.

It's a question but again it comes down to brass tacks. Limkedin profiles mean nothing, and no reputable company willgive out details about former or present employees, or what they worked on. So basically you cant trust anything anyone says online about their background or experience. Measure it from what they present.

We came on the forums, as you say, to see if we can raise extra finance. Indiegogo is our primary funding platform. Whether you contribute to the project or not is a personal decision, as is ours to restrict information about our staff.

What we've pitched contains about 5 times as much as all the past proposals put together with a lot more real data. We appreciate people got royally rooked by other companies, but that does'ntmean to say we will do the same.

Thanks for posting, though. Like your work  with the WASP project.

Without knowing the team and their capabilities it would be very very hard for anyone to believe you have resources to complete the project you are proposing.

Our work in the Wasp project is open to anyone to come and talk to the EE team should they be interested so people can actually interact with the people doing the design and testing. Maybe you should ask a few choice members of the community like say Dogie, RoadStress, Zefir, or others of note to review your plans and meet with your team. Barring a working prototype I doubt many are going to be interested in funding this. People should avoid investing in anything like this till they can vet you properly particularly checking out who is behind this venture and who the principal players in management are.
1504  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Novello Technologies a scam? on: June 05, 2014, 01:49:35 PM
Whose money was that?

You can donate to yourself.

Again no one should be donating anything to anyone unless you can see the people, talk to the people you are investing in. At this point I hope no one has put in a penny until they have properly vetted these people and their team.

Until more proof I call it scam.

Again the only way it becomes a scam is you add money.

Has anyone put anything in? Doubtful.
1507  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Novello Technologies a scam? on: June 05, 2014, 01:13:10 PM
No miners. No money.

Only way it could turn into a scam is if you add your money.
1508  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My batch #2 pledge on: June 05, 2014, 11:21:08 AM
At the time, BTC was worth under $80 so they said they wanted something like 17 BTC per FPGA for an ASIC miner. If I would have paid their ransom money for the new ASIC miners, it would have resulted in an even bigger loss so I just took the 31ish BTC in lost mining revenues, FPGAs, and shipping as a loss.

And some still want to trust the new Yifuless Avalon?

Wasn't Yifu the main culprit? If so, a Yifuless Avalon is a good thing, lol.

If that is the case they could clarify that for everyone right?

Friends if you can't take the following information and use it in an email to Butterfly labs to get an immediate refund then I really don't think you deserve a refund.

I would give them 3 days to issue a refund and then you fax the ADA and Probation officer and you Email the Attorney for Butterfly Labs/Sonny Vleisides

Here you go:

ngzhang, why did Yifu misinterpret the letter I sent thanking you for the work you did as a threat? Why did he set the price for my trade-ins in BTC after selling bulk coin down to $65/coin and then ignore my attempts via the customer portal or support system to try to mediate a better price?

For more info, check out my thread where I detailed every step:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=150324.msg1597453#msg1597453

I have nothing but respect for you and xiangfu, but I am very displeased with Yifu who I believe was the source of your problems.

We would all like a clear explanation for this as well as the real reason the chips were delayed.

Okay so I have been banned from BFL forums for no reason(Huh I didn't post anything on the forums for a few days now, and never posted anything that's really offensive against BFL). I know SloK (administrator of BFL forums) is lurking around here and reading these posts, hey SLoK! How are you? (:
I find it weird that they ban me on their forum when I haven't done anything wrong on it. I feel a little bit attacked here. It was not the right thing to do from them I think. But moving on...

And to be honest, I've been emailing back and forth with customer service of BFL, and it has always been really clean and gentle, I've been very polite from the beginning till the end. I haven't done anything that's out of the blue, haven't contacted Sonny V's probation officer yet or contacted Kansas Attorney's office. To me, it seems they are trying to get rid of me or something...

Welcome to the club.

Surprised they haven't Doxed you yet... that is the next move.

Doxed? :p

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=doxed

1. doxed

Having your real personal information (e.g. name, address, phone number)
discovered and revealed on the Internet, destroying anonymity.

"This pissed off  BFL so much that heldertb was doxed,
just liked they did to Xian01, Bicknellski and countless others.
BFL are truly assholes ."

Of course BFL usually takes it to another level like calling you a pedophile or try to get you fired from your job.

To moderators AND ADMINS
Guys,
Please do a simple ip check if the thread creator is posting from same ip used in AMT MINERS ACCOUNTS
IF YES JUST LET FOLKS KNOW.
I MEAN IT REALY.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE
And if this turns out to be same ip used from amt bring this evidence to the court agains AMT
That's not going to happen. Only law enforcement would get admins to reveal IP information.

Admins don't need to reveal IP information. They just need to point that both accounts are from the same ip so they are the same person/user. But we all know that won't happen because Thermos supports scammers.
You should message Theymos about that, maybe he'll check it for you.

I'll let loshia do it. I just felt the need to clarify things.

How about we check Loshia IP for multiple accounts while we are at it? Because I want to know.

Seems to me if you are going have that sort power let us look at your multiple accounts while we are poking around and asking the forums to give up private info like that. Doubt anyone is giving you or anyone information like from these forums.
1516  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: So was Monarch development the cause for BFL being so slow ordering 65nm parts? on: June 03, 2014, 03:41:00 PM
Yep, and you can expect that late December delivery, too (courtesy of a bearded fat old man in red costume with white fur trim + hat on reindeer propelled flying sled)

Only those fortunate few that ordered first,MAY recieve them by December/January..............otherwise I would expect late 1st quarter as the earliest. They have NOT learned a damn thing about delivering on time IMO  Roll Eyes

600GH @ $4680,will be profitable for sometime,BUT when will you get them,THAT is the question.....................in the meantime your money is locked in & you ain't hashin  Tongue

What still no Monarch?

1518  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: June 03, 2014, 02:52:35 PM

1519  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: June 03, 2014, 02:29:36 PM
From the actual direct communications I had from Chris prior to all this going south was always positive. He is a straight forward guy and given the support I gave Chris and how I defended him against some pretty nasty comments in this thread I suspect he will come back at some point and try to make amends. I really hope he does. There are thousands of dollars owed and those people should be given every opportunity to keep asking for their money and not be run off this thread especially when Chris himself said he would try to refund people. I think it is up to those still owed to make the decision to either forgive the debt as some have or keep asking for a refund as others have. That is what is required and given the discussions I had with Chris in the past he isn't type to give up on things too easily especially when he promised.
