Any numbers on the Pickaxe chips yet Spondoolies? Kind of more interested in what Spondoolies does here vs. AM chips and AM based hardware.

We don't have $27M. Doesn't explain why you need 3 batches of preorders. Would 1 batch of preorders not be enough to fund the next 2 batches? The execution risk is virtually non existent.
The two other risks - BTC price and hash-rate are not under our control. Virtually nonexistent seems a bit optimistic. Regardless the other two risks are unnecessary and you could choose to avoid them by selling in stock. Did you actually read what the guy from Spondoolies posted? Seriously is he lying to you? Read the whole thing and comment don't cherry pick it. He explains. I think you can measure if he is telling the truth on those facts right? They sell units based on the same calculations each time... so if they do it more than once or twice or thrice same reason. Seriously I get you want to warn people off of the pre-orders. Put execution risk aside - the RockerBox / SP30 is a simple project. Die Shrink, same miner
concept as the SP10. The execution risk is virtually non existent.

Why we can't finance in stock SP30:
Assume the following (not exact figure, just to get the idea):
- 3 months lead time on the ASICs and other long lead time components
- SP30 BOM (without NRE) is $3,000
- Each month we want to produce 3,000 miners
We don't have $27M. Each customer can do his/her own calculation regarding the
BTC and has-rate risks and decide whether they want to take it or not. |

BFL agreed tacitly to those figures and didn't argue it.
So what about the current numbers of complaints and lawsuits and claimants BCP?
Are you saying everything is ok in BFL land? Are customers happy? You yourself sold off your Monarch orders.
How about we tell the truth. BFL is dead. They won't get this unit out the door you know it. This is the end for them. They won't make another miner they can't compete with Chinese or Israeli teams building and designing working units at this point you know it is over right?
Why not admit it?

Could be bitfury, asicminer, avalon, bitmain, innosilicon, knc, blackarrow or maybe a company that has yet to reveal itself. Could be. Given what Spondoolies has put out and given they meet deadlines... are you willing to wait if waiting is the option for a July or August miner from the competition? Will it be as good as a SP30? Hmmm tricky to say the least. Space / density etc have start playing on the operators now. You really have to wonder is worth all the cabling and stack vs a single box? Cooling? Power? Doing things at home is pretty much dead and the game is moving into ever larger and larger operations. I don't see how 100s of small designed rigs can keep paces with these Spondoolies designs space wise. It is a risk. I agree don't buy pre-orders. Unfortunately I didn't even listen to myself and I jumped on the 2 x SP30s for August that I bought against the rule NEVER DO PRE-ORDERS. Love the Spondoolies team and all but it is a risk. Don't do it unless you know you can afford to lose every penny. That is only safe way to think about it. It is even more of risk to purchase other fabricators given the history. |

I just had another Jalapeno trip the current protection on my power supply.
That makes it the third unit to do this.
You will be happy to know that you some how had the EXTREME misfortune of receiving 3 units that fell into the <2% failure rate, unless of course you bought 150 units then ok my apologies your within the BFL official failure rates. Let me clear up a few points here real quick: [BFL stole nothing. Unless someone can provide some proof to the contrary, they are lying. BFL has scammed no one. Unless someone can provide proof to the contrary, they are lying. (Go on, ask for proof from the trolls claiming scams, you'll never get it.) BFL gave refund for over six months past the estimated shipping date. BFL only stopped giving refunds after shipping started. Anyone who tells you differently is lying. There was no promised shipping date for the Monarch line and in fact there were big bold text stating that it is a preorder and subject to delay. Anyone who tells you the Monarch is late and that BFL made promises on delivery time is lying. ]BFL has shipped over 50,000 products in the 65nm line. The failure rate is less than 1% (0.72%) not including power supplies. If you include power supplies, that goes to 1.65%. Far lower than industry average and a simply awesome (lack of) failure rate. Contrast to the other mining companies equipment, which has double digit failure rates and it's even better. Anyone who tells you differently is lying.[/li][/list] OP's experience is the norm. My advice: get a refund and don't look back.
My advise is - Unite and go to the court. It is US company after all. Where is American justice on the movies only or? I am pretty dam sure that there will be a plenty of lawyers interested in such big case we are talking for millions. When they see a REAL i repeat A !REAL! thread about their business and personalities things will start to move in a right direction FAST! Remember - You have to unite first and act as ONE otherwise you are going to loose for SURE Best PS: I can bet if all of you fire a claim worth for millions for preordes and another one 10xMilions for lost profits you will be rewarded with a lot of free units and all other fancy stuff coming from BFL. But i doubt it will happen because here everyone watches his own interest only and there is no community spirit at all. I might be wrong about the lack of spirit and i do really want to be ...only time will tell What the people who got burned by Marto should do as well. |
