761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto for the homeless - California volunteer doing some good work! Check it! on: July 14, 2021, 05:27:03 AM
We try to keep costs really low, so we choose to just print out flyers and tape it to whatever we hand out (pizza boxes, bags, etc).
Maybe if there's a possibility that you can secure a cheap way to print it in paper bags, that can help you a lot becauuse you don't have to spend too much on tape and paper since the container for the food has the QR codes. I hope that you will expand to the entire state and hopefully international.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Identifying Satoshi Would Be a BAD Thing on: July 14, 2021, 04:53:15 AM
Lot of known analysts says so, that if we were to know the real identity behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, things will be problematic for the market. I think almost everyone here agrees that it is bad, no matter how much we want to know the person behind the invention. Plus remember the saying about not meeting your heroes? I think that the saying applies to this one too.
763  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Mixer RN? on: July 13, 2021, 01:07:33 PM
Chipmixer all the way, they have been promoting in this forum for a really long time now and I think that it's a testament as to how trustworthy and useful their service is. And you can be sure that it's all good to use them because they are reputable so there's no way they're going to screw you over.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Faketoshi is now arrested for his fraud on: July 13, 2021, 11:59:11 AM
Does people think that satoshi would be that stupid (if alive) to dox himself holding 1 million coins? Which besides a enormous amount of money is also a liability for many.
That's why it said in the title that it's Faketoshi, meaning that he isn't the real deal plus it's not like satoshi will ever reveal himself, remember that he doesn't want to do any kind of reveal of his/her identity because as you've said, it's a danger to himself/herself. It's good that this German dude is going to be jailed because this kind of people are a danger to society plus they cause bad reputation for cryptocurrencies and it's community.
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still the favorite choice on: July 13, 2021, 11:24:06 AM
Indeed. It’s still the undisputed king of cryptocurrencies and the odds as the favorite. We would never be here if it weasn’t for Bitcoin. Altcoins wouldn’t exist without Bitcoin. We just have to be thankful to Satoshi Nakamoto for creating Bitcoin and here we are today. The future looks bright for this one, the almighty and “King of Kings” of the crypto world! These pullbacks and FUD are just short term. Bitcoin is here to stay forever.
That's an overstatement, if bitcoin wasn't invented, pretty sure that there's going to be some people along the way that will think of a concept to do create another first cryptocurrency. I think bitcoin has the biggest potential of them all because it's the oldest cryptocurrency in the market thus we can be sure that the potential of bitcoin is pretty much limitless.
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Securing Your Bitcoin with a Dead Man's Switch (In Case of Death) on: July 13, 2021, 10:50:10 AM
If I can't trust my family, my parents, and my kids with my secrets and my money, then I wouldn't want them inhering my bitcoin either. I think such arrangements should be made while you are alive and healthy without relying on a system or service to do it for you. Your next of kin and life partner should already know what is what while you are still around. That's how our parents did it with my siblings and me. Each one of us knows what they'll be inheriting one day. Just my two cents.
Exactly, planning ahead but not close to being paranoid is the best thing to when you want those coins to continue circulating and having their purpose still being served and at the same time leave something behind for your family. To me, this kind of thing is a thing that needs a careful planning and execution because you don't want the people you will leave behind hanging high and dry expecting that they will have some inheritance.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, you want to get sued by a scammer? on: July 13, 2021, 10:12:56 AM
That's a fucked up scheme, to have the people who helped developed bitcoin have their bitcoins stolen from them by someone who fakes their identity and claims to be the founder. Have you thought of ways to hide your bitcoin so in the worst case, you won't be giving any? If I was in that position where they are trying to take away my bitcoin, I would probably hide it somewhere or a drastic but pretty hurtful for Faketoshi is to burn all those bitcoin.
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: July 13, 2021, 09:35:26 AM
Bitcoin is more suitable for long-term holding. Believers in Bitcoin generally choose to hold Bitcoin for a long time, and their consensus allows them to obtain higher profits.
With the addition of more new users and the recognition of Bitcoin in some countries, people’s consensus has increased, and the demand for Bitcoin is also increasing. But its quantity is limited, so this scarcity keeps the price rising. Long-term holding of Bitcoin will gain higher profits.
But you have to be smart about hodling though because there will be some opportunities where you can buy and sell your bitcoin. It's a matter of opportunity but you are right that it should be a long-term hodling because you never want to miss out when the price of bitcoin goes up and you have no or little amount of bitcoin. Hodl smart, always look for opportunity.
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 13, 2021, 08:58:38 AM
I think that they are talking about a different type of unification and there's no such thing as united Filipino fans, everyone thinks they're better than the other. I think that having an all Filipino match up in the international stage is interesting because we will be able to settle the old questions as to who is going to be the strongest fighter of our country.
Unavoidable though, Filipinos are lucky that they have 2 champions in this division. And eventually a PH to PH has to happen. Of course, the only winner here is the Philippines, but as far as fans is concern, there are fans of Casimero and then there are fans of Donaire. But the winner will take on Inoue so it's good that anyone of them will have a crack and unified all the belts.
It won't matter though, long as the fight is entertaining and they are doing good with what they are doing I think that it's going to not matter to many that it's both Filipino fighters because it's a good show hopefully.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any good crypto betting exchange ? on: July 13, 2021, 08:24:27 AM
Don't know if you have found the one that works for you but given how you have a really generalized criteria for betting sites, I think the sites given by other users in this thread is enough variety for you because you have a lot to choose from.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerian government changing the state of lotteries on: July 13, 2021, 07:52:53 AM
Well it looks like existing lotteries would have to watch out and make sure they're following the new regulations to be set by the government. I'm just wondering whether they would remove all lotteries and make one national lottery, or would they just manage the current lotteries much more strictly and take more profits than they usually would since it, as they said, could help in generating more profit for the country. If they were just managing it properly, then it'd definitely bring in more profit for them in the long run.
Probably let the existing one perating but at bigger taxes while at the same time they are making their own state lottery although that will be problematic for them because infrastructure is going to be expensive for this one unless they plan to make it look like kiosks which are relatively cheap but less secured.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: July 13, 2021, 07:22:21 AM
If we are talking about underage gambling, that should be an adult's responsibility to stop them from doing so because what's the point of being an adult if you just let them get on with the vices this early in their life. It's not the fault of the casino that they make it look like this because they are just trying to make money too.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fighting Game Betting on: July 12, 2021, 12:37:33 PM
The games that have the best possibilities are those that are currently top in the eSports as some people around said. This is becoming really big in terms of market size, with growths that resemble those of Facebook and WhatsApp at its best. DOTA 2 and League of Legends seem to be the most played in tournaments with prices in the range of million USD. Betting should follow and you will no doubt be able to find reputable sites soon if they are not already there. Perhaps having a look at the organisers webs could lead you there.
You are right but that shouldn't stop betting sites from adding fighting games like this in their roster because they still have a considerable amount of crowd and you don't want to miss out on that crowd because there's potential clients out there, waiting to discover their site.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: signs of gambling addiction on: July 12, 2021, 12:01:26 PM
The signs of addiction are no different in gambling than with any other addictive substance or habit. The key is control - if you are not in control of what you are doing that is an addiction. For example, you know you have to pay you gas bill, instead you cross by a gambling shop and bet that money on a race. It does not matter if you win or loose, you obviously are not in control of your priorities and should be considered as addict.

There are different degrees of addiction, not everyone is in danger. Some people will do stupid things but not often enough to cause them long term problems. Some other, and I met a few in my life, will simply spend every cent on their addictions. These cases, curiously enough, are very easy to detect, as opposed to the mild ones, that should also be treated.
Easy to say to have a control but that's really hard to do especially when you actually do it. We should stop saying that the key to fight addiction is control because it's not entirely true and if it was, then probably we should've seen less cases of addictions in any form. Even if the degree isn't dangerous, we still have to treat and if you think about it, it's better if we were to treat it while it's early.
775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: July 12, 2021, 09:06:58 AM
Didn't win one but my friend ones won a 3 digit lottery and we got to celebrate big time that day because that was a lot of money although it's not a crypto lottery but I think the reason that it's worth sharing was that it wasa double win because there's this lottery outlet in my place that lets you bet on same number twice.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 12, 2021, 08:27:19 AM
These MMA fighters should have a shin conditioning regiment similar to Thai boxers. We cannot expect these type of injuries to stop in the octagon if the fighters have not done the proper conditioning. Conor’s shin was not hard enough for execution of that type of technique.
I agree but I don't think that not every fighter is going to agree with doing that training because I am pretty sure it will be a grueling months for them. Plus the conditioning should be multi purpose because you condition it just to strengthen it or harden it then what's the point. By the way, has anyone seen Poirier donning a t-shirt with Crypto.com in it?
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: July 12, 2021, 07:49:15 AM
Indeed. Giving a bonus or free bet can attract them back to the casino and play more gambling games. Some casinos still giving that as a bonus for active gamblers or gamblers who already deposit with some amount. If that is about promotion, the casino will always send many offers to people who subscribe to their site to know what events will happen.

If the casino can update with the latest info or have many new gambling games, that can also attract gamblers attention to come back and play on that game.
But the freebies isn't part of the game which is the focus of this thread, yes you are right but it's for the wrong question. For me, the thing that hooks the people is probably the entertainment factor that a game has. I mean if you are entertained, you will keep coming back right although I feel like entertainment is a generalized factor.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fighting Game Betting on: July 12, 2021, 05:49:30 AM
Injustice 2 tournaments are boring nowadays, most so called pro players are only playing zoning characters(characters who are using range attacks) and spam their range skills to chip out the damage and I find it boring because no good play comes out of it plus the game becomes stale because the other side either has to be patient and slowly strike or spam the same stuff but both don't have anything good come out of it. I hope that a new meta in Injustice could save the game but given how NRS are making another game, I don't think that they plan to do something about it and let the players figure it themselves.
That's a bit sad if you think about it because last time I have watched the matches were really good and the zoning characters have a meta where they combine melee and range to perform unique combo strings. That's actually a bit sad because I think that they have a really good thing going with them because they are a good fighting game.
779  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: July 12, 2021, 05:13:10 AM
YouTube videos are for promotions and one should not expect to find exactly what you be seen in a promotional video to reality site. Most time the promotional video is made for fun and entertainment all to attract new users to the site. My advice is to always read every term and condition know exactly what to expect on the site before using it. Rollbit is one of the leading crypto casinos and at that lots of promotion is going on for that to be sustained.
Advertising is meant to deceive people, that's how it goes for a really long time now and people don't seem to mind and advertisers and businesses don't want to change it anyways. Even if younread the Ts and Cs of the website, it won't matter because you can't play in it if you don't accept their terms and conditions.
780  Other / Politics & Society / Re: BREAKING: Fox 26 Reporter Releases tape of ‘Corruption,’ ‘Censorship.’ on: July 12, 2021, 04:31:58 AM

No media is ever going to report something that isn't biased. When the network has to report the other side of the story they are always going to be offered with something for the word not to get out. And whenever the hands that feed them are part of it like their advertisers, expect something else to be reported. This is going on not just in US.
That has been the thing ever since the television has been a thing in this world. A group of people controlling the other groups so they look bad at the opposing group. Manipulation has been problem but the solution to this instead of whining about the media being biased is that we have to improve our critical thinking skill.
