941  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Privacy Is a Human Right in the 21st Century on: June 24, 2023, 03:29:59 PM
Privacy is very important but you really have to fight & advocate for your own privacy. Governments do not like it & it’ll only get worse as time passes. There are many steps you can take to try & protect your identity & information. Some are as simple as getting a good VPN to browse online or using Tor browser. Nobody is going to help you though, you need to take steps yourself to be as anon & off the grid as possible.
942  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shower thought, on Gensler vs. Crypto on: June 24, 2023, 02:09:53 PM
I think Gensler is just a paid pawn in a very big game of corruption, deceit & control. The US doesn’t want to lose value in the $ so they will do everything in their power to try & prop it up. The SEC & Gensler are not trying to protect investors, they are trying to protect big banking institutions & the $ value. Evidence of this is approving all kinds of bitcoin futures ETF’s, leverage ETF’s & not a spot ETF. Unfortunately them bitcoin isn’t going away & they will soon have to clear a path for bitcoin.
943  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Submarine missing ^Titanic disaster 2023 on: June 24, 2023, 12:35:41 PM
It’s a real tragedy, lives lost needlessly in a vanity project. May they all rest in peace, I especially for sad for the loss of the young 19 year old boy, such a waste of life. I think people need to hold more respect for the ocean & Mother Nature, some places are just better left alone. We were not born on water, we should keep out, especially with projects like this which are far too risky.
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: June 24, 2023, 10:13:18 AM
I still hold a bag, it’s still down over 50% though despite the recent pump. I guess I will hold it until it’s in profit or ride it to $0. It was not too much money invested but enough to still keenly follow the price. I also hold MONG which is down a lot too. I guess you can’t make big money without experiencing pain & hardship first. Let’s see what happens in the next couple of years.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or not? BTC investors need to rethink their strategy as on: June 22, 2023, 02:29:15 PM
There are other strategies other than ‘HODL or not.’

Most of us like to HODL a certain % of our stash long term & sell some when market conditions are favourable (maybe hold the fiat & buy back at discount in downturns).

Bitcoin is very volatile still, you need to be openminded to act accordingly.
946  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price hitting 30k twice this year. on: June 22, 2023, 01:31:53 PM
$40,000 before the end of the year would really set us up nicely for some real fireworks in 2024 & 2025. Hopefully we don’t get a 2019 style situation where we make a nice high & then retrace to lows. Things are looking good with Blackrock & Fixelity + others filing for bitcoin ETF’s with the SEC but let’s not get too excited. Things can change quickly. It is looking good above $30,000 though.
947  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's really scary about artificial intelligence? on: June 22, 2023, 08:01:39 AM
It’s still in its very early days. I think as a human race we need to be very careful how far we push it. We could very easily have robots programmed with AI doing many human jobs, it would create high unemployment.

What if one day AI becomes so developed we can’t stop it or turn it off & robots start attacking us. I think it’s very dangerous & needs to be carefully managed in the right hands.
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy ETH as much as you can.... on: June 22, 2023, 04:49:35 AM
Frankly, there is no need for such analyzes to know this. Because just as bitcoin is the king of the crypto money world, ethereum is the prince of the crypto money world.

I’ve said before, it’s an easy 10 x your investment within 3 years if you buy now. Bitcoin is obviously the King but ETH is a worthwhile investment. I think to the $ value it will outperform Bitcoin short term. Definitely a great buy, I would be very surprised if it doesn’t hit $15,000 by 2026.
949  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War and conflict on earth will never end on: June 21, 2023, 09:02:43 PM
Sadly war is profitable & many countries value lives of soldiers & citizens less than money. Life would be so much better if there was no conflict or war but I don’t know if we’ll ever get a united world. Some people & governments are too power & money hungry.

One way to lessen the likelihood of future wars, as I’m sure many of you know is a silent protest, but bitcoin. As they say, fix the money, fix the world.
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: June 21, 2023, 08:10:50 PM
2024/25 will be my first bull run and I have been patiently buying and holding for over a year now.

You’ve been doing the right thing, you’re half way there by just having that discipline. Human nature means most people buy in the mania phase at the top & sell in panic on the way down. Not all of us are winners in life hey buddy Smiley

My advice to a newbie would be that to get rich you’ll probably need to hold for a few cycles but that doesn’t mean you can’t scalp some off the top of your stash in 2025 & buy back in the next bear market or even just enjoy some profits. Sell 25% in 2025, 20% in fiat or stables & buy 4 or 5 x the amount you sold in 2026/27. Maybe you can have some fun with the remaining 5% of what you sold.

You’ll then be in a really good position for future cycles.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold Bitcoin VS Hold Gold on: June 21, 2023, 07:19:28 PM
Bitcoin beats Gold in every single category. The only thing Gold has over Bitcoin is longevity but what’s so special about that?

Bitcoin is easily transportable, have you ever tried taking $1,000,000 in Good across a border on your person on a flight? You can store unlimited amounts of Bitcoin on a small hardware wallet.

Bitcoin has increased in price by meteoric magnitudes since the first block was mined. Gold has gone up in price but holding Gold vs holding Bitcoin, even over the last 5 or 6 years is no comparison.

Bitcoin is the future, it will play a huge roll as a store of value, savings feature & means of payment in our lifetime.  Good looks nice but it’s a heavy, dumb rock, it has had its time.
952  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin market is back on track on: June 21, 2023, 08:43:51 AM
It’ll be good to break $30000 again & then hopefully, never fall below it again. Things are happening behind the scenes, bullish things. I feel like the next multi year run up is about to start. Blackrock & Fidelity hopefully opening up the doors to a big inflow of new money.

Let’s Go!
953  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Crazy week. I lost a dear friend and I lost my job on: June 21, 2023, 06:31:13 AM
OP is quite active on the forum especially in the Collectibles section. It’s been a while since he posted in his thread, it was quite a moving OP. Would he good if he checked in here to update on how he is doing.

In any case, I hope he’s OK & is having better luck.
954  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: June 20, 2023, 07:14:23 PM
Wow bitcoin is pumping, price breached $28,000 which is up over 8% in the last 24 hours. All these rumours about ETF applications, maybe somebody in the know has info & is front running it. Definitely need to keep an eye on this situation.

The next 24 hours are critical.
955  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin market is back on track on: June 17, 2023, 07:25:06 PM
It’s always only a matter of time until bitcoin reverts to number go up. Bitcoin is the most impressive innovation of the last 100 years or more, you can put your foot on a water submerged ball for only so long. When you get tired & release pressure, BOOM!

Bitcoin is an unstoppable force, we will see over $100,000 per coin before the end of 2025. Are you positioned for an explosive move that may catch many people unprepared?
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Lender Abra Has Been Insolvent for Months on: June 17, 2023, 06:14:45 PM
Change the word "Abra" to "Celsius" and that entire story could have been copy and pasted from a year ago.

It always starts during parabolic runs up, people get into the next craze scam. It was ICO’s in 2017 then staking & NFT’s more recently. Then during a bear market phase these ponzis can’t stay solvent as liquidity & interest is taken away.

Like you & many others have said repeatedly, not your keys not your coins. There’s only so many times people can be advised. You just can’t help stupid.

We’ll be back discussing the same again but different in 2026 after the 2024/25 run up:
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't anyone created a crypto currency name Merit yet? on: June 17, 2023, 05:21:38 PM
Not sure about Merit but if we are discussing things that are forum related then I think NFT’s based on users on the forum could be cool. I just wonder if there’d be enough demand. www.bpip.org could be used as a reference.
There probably wouldn’t be enough demand but only a thought I had, I mean who wouldn’t want to own a theymos.
958  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Oil To Face "Serious" Supply Problem In 2024 As Production Capacity Runs Out... on: June 17, 2023, 03:38:22 PM
I hope this doesn’t materialise because the price for fuel is already ridiculously high in my country. I think sometimes these type of headlines surface as a form of FUD by oil companies to drive up prices.
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto experienced bloodshed on: June 17, 2023, 03:12:19 PM
People always look for a reason why the market makes big changes in price. Crypto is a new asset class, volatility is to be expected, sometimes there doesn’t need to be a reason, the market is primed to move either way. There can be a catalyst but for example right now the market is probably ready to start a slow climb up. The worst is probably over so you may see the Blackrock ETF being a reason why the price explodes upwards.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: June 17, 2023, 02:22:25 PM
ETH may bring higher returns over the next 10 years but bitcoin is far safer as an investment due to a much lower supply & its decentralised nature. ETH has much more points of failure, it’s a far riskier investment. It all depends what your level of risk is & what you’re looking for.
