I watch from a youtube video that Naoya Inoue will not hastily go up in weight division once he become undisputed champion of the 122 lbs division.  He stated that he wanted to stay in the division in order to fight a stronger boxer.  The handler and owner of the gym where Naoya Inoue is doing his training, stated that if Inoue is successful in his possible upcoming fight against Tapales, there is still Casimero and Luis Neri to fight against so he doesn't think that Inoue will go up in Division yet.

It's good if he will decide to remain at 122 lbs, because there are still some good fighters left in the division, namely Neri and Casimero. But I wanted to see first a fight between Luis Neri and John Riel Casimero of the Philippines. This two has been talking trash when Casimero was still at 118 lbs. So it will like a title eliminator and then the winner facing Inoue.

However, with his debut fight at 122 lbs, it seems that Inoue also bring his power when he move up. So even if there are good fighters in this division, like the 2 and add Akhmadaliev in the equation, I doubt that any of the three can pose a serious threat to Inoue, in my opinion.

And that keeps me staying despite constant losses. Just one big win, that is what I'm waiting and I will keep my distance in gambling. My hopes always shattered after I lost and at the same time reconstructed when starting a new session. I'm still very optimistic that one day, that one big win I'm waiting for will come.
I'm not really sure what you meant by just one big win, unless it's really big like a lottery ticket winning. But if it just a regular win, then it might be very difficult to quit. On the contrary, you might want to think to come back and play for more as you have tasted winning already.

And if again, if you are thinking about lottery winnings, the odds are very slim. Although no one can stop you from trying to try to luck and win. Because we have heard countless stories of individuals who try to bet on lottery for the first time and then win as well. But it will take extreme luck to hit that jackpot and become a single winner.
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: July 28, 2023, 09:05:32 AM
Meme coins are indeed fueled by hype and community enthusiasm. While some early investors and creators may profit, it's true that not everyone will get rich from them. Unlike other altcoins with stronger communities, meme coins often attract people looking for quick gains. It's crucial to be cautious and recognize the risks involved before jumping in. Quick money might be tempting, but it's essential to approach meme coins with a clear understanding that it's a high-risk and speculative venture.
Only the first one to join the boat on meme coins are going to profit from it. Let's say for example $Pepe. If you are one of those who found this meme before it exploded and you see the potential and then invest early, for sure you might have a earn a ton of profits when the hype reaches its peak.

But after that, after all the selling, you might have to look for other meme coins. But that is the thing, it's very hard to found unless you are connected to the project itself. Nevertheless, I do believed that there are crypto enthusiast who really focus on meme coins and hunting them down for a quick turn around and get instant profits.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: July 28, 2023, 04:17:36 AM
Gambling for fun is good, gambling for income is a fatal mistake.
Our mindsets decides the formulation of gambling in our daily routines. Gambling for enjoyment does not need a lot of stress or work, and it is extremely simple to deal with. Nevertheless, gambling as a source of income is dangerous, with the consequences always resulting in debt or worse. Gambling as a source of income is absolutely not a good idea because it causes major damages that will liquidate our accounts without warning. gaming addicts are not simple to deal with; they are aggressive in dealing with most gambling circumstances.
Sometimes it is not in the will of the gambler to chose if they want to play totally for fun or for income. A gambler may decide to be playing for fun but some kind of things like addiction may push the person to be chasing money. Apart from gambling addiction, peer friends influence may make one start gambling for money.
But the real thing is that every gambler needs to have a job that brings money and not depend on gambling luck.
It is something that works in our mind, negatively or positively about gambling. I mean we don't need to be rocket scientist, for sure if has happen to us or some to our friends. As if when they gamble, they are a change person and we can't understand what is happening to them that they can do other things that we thought they are not capable of.

I know it's scary and it most cases, those madness will turn this gambling into jail or worst committed suicide and take their life just to get away from the gambling debt their amass during their gambling addiction.
945  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: July 28, 2023, 04:07:47 AM
Let's be honest, market do not follow any rules. There is no rule or law that says BTC should reach another ATH next cycle and next after. What if 69K was the maximum it could reach, and for the next years or decades it will be mostly fluctuating between 15k and let's say 40k.

So, let's collect here the reasons why there will be ATH for BTC.
Name one (at least) reason, please.

Some reasons collected so far:

1. "More than 90% of the people in this world has not yet bought bitcoin, do not worry, the adoption is still continuing. You will still see bitcoin at $100000 ane more."
2. "... as long as fiat inflation is still happening (which means a decrease in purchasing power), you can rest assured that assets like Bitcoin will keep going strong."
3. "We might see multiple ATH in the future once fiat explode. Bitcoin is the alternative and safe haven for people to escape inflation."
Actually i couldn’t think only negative. I am always positive thinking man. I think within 2024 Bitcoin will go New ATH. Day by day Bitcoin Being popular. You told till now 90% people in the world not bought Bitcoin. But i think gradually people are buying bitcoin and this buying people gradually increasing. I think within 1/2 years 15%-20% people will buy Bitcoin. And if it will happen then i think bitcoin price will hit minimum $150k-$200k there has no doubt. So i believe within short time bitcoin price will touch new ATH.
Well we can't but to think of all the positive side of bitcoin specially in it's young history that every 4 years, we are going to see a bull run and then new all time high to all of us.

That's how it is so why not think of bitcoin not hitting a new ATH, nevertheless if we want to prepare for the worst then we have seen it already. We have the FTX collapse last year, and then seeing the bottom price of $15,500 give and take. So it's just about time to discuss the "what" of the next bull run. What is the next ATH for us? And yes, minimum is 6 digits and can go as high as $180k (personal prediction).
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: July 28, 2023, 03:37:31 AM
If we planned our gambling bet we should not be going crazy after when we have not meet up our target in gambling, what i expected every gambler is to make table of how much should be spend in gambling and how much should go investment, because money we loses in gambling continuously if we gather it together it will sum up to start a little business. I'm say play gamble with experience, don't use all you have for casino gambling
Most gamblers don't have the effort to go the extra mile (creating tables and tracking their gambling budget), but your suggestion is worth doing if they're willing to save and accept that they might be overspending.

Well, i can say majority of the gamblers don't do accounting. Unlike a real business, counting off all your spendings and winnings doesn't seem necessary, that's what we all thought. Doing tables doesn't only track your spendings, but also It would most likely going to make us realize how much amount of money we have wasted since we begin gambling. I honestly, did not see anyone doing tables, I think we all are scared to see that digit as we may able to realize we could have bought a lot of different things with that money we've lost in gambling. Regrets are inevitable though.
I'm not also sure if seeing all those spendings would make us bet lesser than usual.
So true, we gamblers just love to play for fun or just to win some money. But tracking are wins and losses? I doubt that we are going to do that. In any case though, if we are playing online then we might see our history of deposits and withdrawals. But still though, we are not concern about it. Although we might cringe a bit to see how much money we spend on gambling, but still we are going to continue no matter what.

Regrets are just part of the game, and we all know that and I can say that we might have accepted that fact long before we go gambling. And there are a lot of what if scenario that crosses our mind. And yet we continue gamble.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 28, 2023, 01:12:02 AM
Sounds like people in the New Orleans Pelicans management are starting to sour on Zion Williamson. Missing the end of the season two years in a row when he was questionable to play was one thing that they were willing to work through but his latest off the court drama has left a sour taste in their mouth. If Zion isn’t an MVP candidate this year I think we may see him in a Knicks jersey in 2025.
There has been a lot of rumors already that he might be shipped by New Orleans because it seems that it was a disappointment season again. He started healthy and they have a good run. However, they can't maintain that as he and Brandon Ingram got injured and it's not enough for Ingram to come back and salvage their season. But everyone is expecting that Zion to lead this team and there is a big hype around him.

Hard to say if he is going to be a bust because of his nagging injuries. But hopefully he can come back and make New Orleans as least in the playoffs and him putting up MVP numbers to at least feel that the money being thrown by the management is worth every penny.
948  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 27, 2023, 02:34:25 PM
^^ Thanks for the update.

And yes, it seems that we wanted to break and go to $30k again, seen as high at $29,500,  but not enough push I guess. And most likely this is due to the bitcoin future contracts that is about to end or has ended that pulled the price below $30k.

So let's see how it goes, just few days to end this month and we can hope that we will be back at $30k again this August. We need that positivity and momentum as we are targeting like $40k-$50k at the end of the year.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2023, 02:10:58 PM

After that loss Stephen Fulton's ego was so much high that he is not really doesn't accept that he lost the fight or pretty much he is just upset with the result he surely added that the punches of Naoya Inoue were not the ones that KO'ed him but his poor performance inside the ring, but surely after the fight, this is what Fulton's 1st interview, there is not much but surely enjoy it,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QNnBIwpAks

It is funny how Fulton reacted.  He said he has an off night and it is his own poor performance that get him KO'ed but it is very clear that he was outclassed by Inoue.  Fulton should give the credit when it is due.  Inoue just stops him from being him and there is nothing more to it but sadly Fulton due to his ego doesn't admit that.  We might probably be seeing a rematch between Fulton and Inoue after this possible fight for the undisputed title of the super bantamweight division.

I don't think a rematch will sell more crowds than the first time they fought. I mean It was a one sided victory. Inoue won every round IMO. A fighter can't have an off night if he's in a good condition, Fulton might've just said that because he can't get into his rhythm because Inoue was fast and strong, with good head movements and footwork. Fulton just needs to understand that he's fighting a complete fighter that out classed him in every category.
There are far more interesting fights ahead for Inoue than a rematch against Fulton. I've heard someone is now accusing Inoue for hiding something under his fist to add power to his punches. Well, I guess this is just a challenge for him to fight outside his country. This is going to be interesting and I can't wait for him to fight outside Japan. Maybe he'll also move a couple more weight divisions.
Most likely that is the case, and that's why he has a excuse in this fight. But we have seen that Inoue won every round, Fulton might have some success in the 5th round, but other than that, he didn't win any single round against Inoue and he might underestimated the Japanese fighter as the smaller one but in this fight, the smaller Inoue was the bigger puncher. I'm also seeing him moving up in weight after his plan unification fight against Tapales. 126 lbs might be his biggest challenge, but Inoue is really that elite that I think he can still win and beat the best out of the featherweight division.
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: July 27, 2023, 01:39:03 PM
When the bull run comes, we may feel like it's a trap, and many people keep waiting for the prices to dip a little so they can buy. However, it doesn't always happen, and they end up waiting indefinitely. Therefore, it's wise to take some calculated risks and start accumulating at the right time. Bull runs usually last for a considerable period, not just 2-4 days, so there is enough time to sell. However, if you become too greedy, anything can happen, so it's essential to set a target and book the profits. The key is to keep greed under control.

For solid coins, just like in 2017, I might see them like pumping every week. Or at least one coin is being chosen to pump hard and then investors getting their profit in at instance. And then the next coin and then the next. So just watch out for this kind of movement in the next bull run as this is already a proven strategy by investors or at least those pump and dump groups.

But I do agree that if you profited good money, then no need to be greedy. Just go with the flow and observed with coins are going to be pump next and just throw a couple of hundreds of dollars and see how it goes for you.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 27, 2023, 01:21:03 PM
If Nonito wins the championship his next target is to be the undisputed Bantamweight Champion, based on the interview with Tai Lopez Donaire will go on until he becomes the next champion because this is the only thing missing in his career, to become the undisputed champion, so if he wins here he will push for a unification of the title I hope he can still do it at his age, we'll see if father time is still not diminished his power.

https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=648002447275450

Hopefully he can accomplished it if he wins here, but one of the stumbling block is that Moloney is with Top Rank and remember that he used to be the number 1 rank fighter in wBC, so it should be Donaire vs Moloney. But Moloney and his camp jump ship to WBO because maybe he doesn't want to fight Inoue that time, or Top Rank's Bob Arum refusing to work with Probellum (Donaire's previous promotional management). So we will see if Donaire camp's didn't take that personally and decline a fight with Moloney because of that reason.
Donaire is no longer with Probellum as that management has been dissolved already because of the allegations that they are tied to the Irish Mafia. And Donaire is one of those fighters who Richard Schaeffer got and he will be the one promoting Donaire himself (of course with Rachel Donaire's blessing).

And with that, I think they can bury the hatch and Arum and Schaeffer has work before even when Richard is still with Golden Boy Promotions. So if Donaire wins then he can fight Moloney for a 2 belt unification next.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title on: July 27, 2023, 12:48:33 PM
@Kelvinid. Those are very accurate odds after the performance we have witnessed from Inoue against Fulton, I reckon. I have become convinced on the Japanese fighter. Inoue is like the young Pacman but with more knockout power in his hands.
I agree, he might not reach 8 division title as Pacman, but the way he is destroying everything that in his path, it's like Pacman when he was in the beginning of his career specially at lower weights. And Inoue can make another history, for Japan and then having won the unified title in bantamweight and super bantamweight in the 4 belt era.

However, he will be the first boxer in the history of the sport to be a unified champion in 2 weight divisions if he is victorious against Marlon Tapales. After this, it might be 3 unified championships if he again moves up to featherweight. Who are the big names there? I reckon all of the featherweight champions can be beaten by Inoue.
Yes, he could be the first one to be a unified champion in 2 weight division and that could be big. However, if he keeps fighting in Japan, he might not get the recognition although he could be the 1 p4p boxer with that great win against Fulton.

On Inoue not being very known to make an argument to bring him to Las Vegas, the promoters can make him the undercard for an event of Canelo or another very famous boxer.
His camp knows that US is the venue to make an argument for him to be one of the best in this generation and could be the next cash cow. So he should go and fight in the US next against Tapales. Or if he wants to conquer 126 lbs and higher, most of the boxers are stateside.
953  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Investors Confidence in Bitcoin💪 on: July 26, 2023, 09:59:29 AM
Hello everyone

In 2018, when I heard about Bitcoin from an elder brother in the area, I became addicted to Bitcoin. Since then, I started learning about Bitcoin from that elder brother and got the opportunity to learn more details from the forum by logging into Bitcoitalk with his ID.  .
And in view of this in 2020 I invest some of my savings in Bitcoin.
From teaching, when Bitcoin broke past record highs at the end of 2021, I had the opportunity to make a good profit from my invested Bitcoins, but my strong belief in Bitcoins prevented me from selling Bitcoins, after which the price of Bitcoins began to decline.  Then different people tried to discourage me in different ways but it is from this forum that predictions about Bitcoin and my confidence in Bitcoin still make me come.

Hopefully during the Bitcoin Halving of 2024, Bitcoin will break all previous records and reach a peak price.

What is your opinion on this?

Let's review back for a moment. yes. This is when the crypto industry is reeling from one of the most catastrophic failures in recent history: the crash of the FTX crypto exchange, an exchange that was once valued at US$32 billion.
Well that's what we call black swan event, we really didn't understand or prepare ourselves for that one catastrophic event that is going to happen not just for bitcoin, but for the whole market in general. And it really did affect us negatively, price goes down to lowest low in the bear market. But now, it's over, we have bounce back, recovered already price almost doubled from the bottom.

Now there are many real use cases that we are looking at and will drive crypto adoption. for example many institutions are considering long term investment for example Institutional Engagement and Crypto Friendly Banks. Well, this belief indicates a market that is becoming more mature, where cryptocurrency is seen as a viable investment vehicle going forward and we will not be hearing these words repeated "BTC is not suitable for investment and the price is zero" and like you say Hopefully during the Bitcoin Halving of 2024, Bitcoin will break all previous records and reach a peak price.
It's obvious that adoption is coming, although it might be slow process, but at least we have government and huge institutions getting their hands on bitcoin. And just imagine if in the bull run, the bitcoin ETF that BlackRock has filed has been approved by the SEC. It will be a game changer, confidence in the market is also all time high.
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 26, 2023, 09:35:09 AM
If you are aware that your neighbor living next door is into drug dealing and he come seek your advice how to buy Bitcoin, will you teach him?

What comes straight to mind is embezzling the ill-gotten money, but is this even safe? My other neighbor knows I am into Bitcoin and he learned from me, I guess that's how this other neighbor knew, I told him to go meet the next neighbor but he said he is not ready to teach.

What will you do if something like this is happening around you? Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin if not for a safer haven for running the business?

My mind isn't settled as I keep thinking different things, what is on your mind readers?
You have clearly stated it, you teach him bitcoin so we can speculate that,

a. He is using it to cover his tracks or at least the money that he is receiving in his dealings.
b. He wants to be a investors and hide his money.

I guess you are in a lose-lose situation, you can't say no to him if he approach you and wanted to learn about bitcoin. Because maybe he will take it negatively and maybe come after you. If you teach him, then it might bothered you later as you are the one who lead him to launder his money thru bitcoin and stay under the radar from the government or the authorities.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 26, 2023, 07:09:01 AM
It is very true, now Donaire is better to stay as a boxer and not as a predictor of results, he has to update himself a little more in the capacities of each boxer,

We should not take Donaire's prediction on the fight between Inoue and Fulton as a big deal. It's not that he is a predictor right away lol.

It just makes sense to ask him what will be his prediction because somehow, he and Inoue has a rival experience. It's not that Donaire is predicting the fight regularly. Obviously, as a former rival of Inoue, he was asked to give his prediction and that's it - no strings attached.

Anyways, Inoue won an impressive Knock Out win. Case close about Donaire's prediction.
Yeah, it's done already, and I would say that Inoue is pound for pound for that performance against the best 122 lbs, (sorry for the fans of Marlon Tapales). He just defeated and take the 0 of Fulton sending him back to the US without his belt.

Now, as fans we still have two great fights in the calendar his weekends, and this is one of them. So far fans still fancy that Inoue will win here, might be by KO or judges decision as he has the tools to beat Santiago even if he is way over the age of usual boxers in their prime. And so his predictions doesn't have any weight or factor now.

@bisdak40. The fight is speculated to occur on November. The venue might also be in Japan. However, Inoue's promoters should begin organizing his fights in Las Vegas if they want him to become a big name like Pacman.
Possible that it might be good to held in Japan so that Inoue will be more known in the US market. Just like what Arum did with Pacman, and with that, he might gain a lot of fans as well. Although he has taken notice already, like Mike Tyson or Tank Davis talking about it. Might be better if casual fans will know his name and support him in his US fights.

Yeah, and as Paul George, shout out to WB for taking the minimum just to stay with the Clippers at least for this year.

No, he will stay for 2 years as that's what his contract says.

Free agent Russell Westbrook has agreed on a two-year, nearly $8M deal
https://www.nba.com/news/russell-westbrook-2023-free-agency

If he cannot make it next season, he still has one more season to help the Clippers win a championship. I think it's possible as long as Leonard stays healthy. Actually, even without PG, Leonard and Westbrook would already be enough to lead the team.

Money is not that important to him anymore because it seems to me that Westbrook is on a revenge mode to gain his confidence and reputation again, and I believe that he still got a chance if he will be given an enough time to play as a main role with Kawhi Leonard because being a 6th man in the team was seriously not suitable for him. He just needed some time to take care of his own business to bring back that old version.
Yes and that's what I'm trying to say, as compare to other players who made a bad decision early on and they can't recover from that. And he still chasing that one ring so he needs to be healthy as well throughout out the season and not just Paul and Kawhi.

But there could be a lot of changes in the Clippers for the next season, it's going to be a lot of experiment I reckon. And maybe WB will have those numbers that he produces before and he could be another success story if the Clippers reach the finals and WB the 3rd option behind PG and Leonard.

Honestly, my journey into the world of crypto began with a forum. Before that, I had some knowledge about Bitcoin, but I wasn't fully aware of its potential. Through the forum, I gained a wealth of knowledge about cryptocurrencies and related topics. This newfound understanding encouraged me to start investing, and as a result, I began making profits.
Right, some of us might have heard about bitcoin and crypto before. But this forum was a real wake up for us because as a community, we have learn from each other. We read threads, we open one by ourselves and then we learn and grow our understanding in our stay here.

Moreover, the forum provided a fantastic opportunity to earn through signature campaigns, and the amount I earned was quite decent. So, in many ways, the forum played a pivotal role in transforming my life, not only in terms of financial gains but also in terms of learning and expanding my knowledge about the crypto space.
That's another thing here in this forum, there are campaigns that pay us with bitcoin or any other crypto. And then we used to trade or save it and became a holder. So it's a great opportunity to all of us. One caveat though is that we shouldn't be abusive and just stay within the rules of this forum and you will be good in the long run joining campaigns.

And that might be the biggest decision by WB in his career, take the pay cut, and still play high level basketball and help the Clippers to win a ring and he will also be in NBA history, for taking the biggest risk.

As compare to let's say Oladipo or Dennis Schröder by declining a huge contract and then later on signing for lesser money. But in this case, WB is on the opposite end of the spectrum and it could paid off.
960  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 25, 2023, 09:54:50 AM
Yes this was very similar to what happened in 2018. We chopped for months and went no where. Even after summer ended we still didn’t get a strong trend until November time. Catalyst for that dump was the entire Bitcoin sv and Bitcoin cash debates.

So most likely this time around we need something similar. We either will get some massive fud or something positive like an etf approval which will get us out of this tight trading range.
Most likely I will lean towards a positive news, not necessarily ETF approval or something, but a good news that will sway the market again to above $30k or higher before the end of the year. So far we are in a decline, the support of $30k has been broken, nevertheless, it seems that the bull are trying to get it back, as currently the price is $29,190.

So we will see, we have a lot of months ahead in front of us. And I still very positive that something big will come up in the last quarter that will push the price prior to the most anticipated event of block halving early 2024.
