941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 24, 2023, 09:56:50 AM
Well, Eddie Hearn is a huge boxing fan himself and is probably the biggest promoter right now and is a master in the business with superstars Canelo, AJ, and fighters from other promoters that fight in DAZN except GBP which has its own exclusive contract with the network. His 500k-600k is a good estimate and is already a big success given these economic hard times.

This fight though has real potential of breaking a million PPV buys. I also believe that tickets will be sold out quickly. So far PBC has named Pitbull Cruz battling against Giovanni Cabrera in the undercards probably to get the huge Latino boxing community.

In terms of the live gate's tickets, there is no question at all that it will be sold out quickly just like what Garcia vs Davis fight did or pretty much faster than that because we have to include the fact that there will be some businessmen who are having some business in gaining these tickets as fast as possible so that they can sell it in a much higher price. But when it comes to PPV buys, I doubt that they can break a million of it because the world is getting modern each day and big fights like this are almost shown for free in some sources like Facebook live or even YouTube because they are seeking the viewers as well in-exchange for some voluntary amounts to watch the fight live.

As far as Eddie Hearn, he says that PBC, Top Rank and Golden Boy doesn't want him promoting in the US.

As for the PPV buys, I do agree, I don't see the fight getting or breaking the 1 million PPV buys, not a hater but they will be lucky to get 500,000 PPV. Still the king of PPV for this year is Ryan Garcia vs Tank Davis.

Live gates must be different though, it could be sold out by now and only premium tickets might be available.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 24, 2023, 08:23:35 AM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.

Very hard to answer, but for sure there will be gamblers not willing to admit that they are addicted and be called with that name. They are going to defend to death that they are not that kind of person, but instead just playing to have some fun. But we all know that it's not the case since addicted one has that psychology to not disclose everything.

So it's not only difficult to accept, but I think it will be offending too. And it's a sensitive matter, so I guess we just need to be very careful as this is a delicate. We don't know what will be their reaction is, if you call and identify them.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 24, 2023, 08:09:04 AM
I guess the Warriors management really did a lot of thinking, it's Green vs Poole. And so they decided to give the young fellow a boot and retain Green as he is one of the core players for the Warriors.
Isn't it that despite this trade with Poole was already done, Green has chosen to get out of its contract and will be the next to be out of the Warriors?

If only Jordan Poole perform better in the playoffs, it might be a very difficult job for the management to decided which one to go. Unfortunately, his best performance with the Warriors is when they have that championship run. At least he had a ring already.
This could be it and a factor why this trade has made possible. But as CP3 doesn't guarantee them a ring but who knows if they'll be dominant this season and CP3 could get his ring with them.

I can remember what KD did to take his ring with the GSW.

We still don't have any news of Green wanting to get out of the Warriors though. Definitely CP3 is not a guarantee but I guess Warriors think that adding him might push them for another run at the title, specially if Green opted to get back since Poole is no longer with the team.

And it's also interesting that there are reports that Jordan Poole unfollow Draymond Green in Twitter, Lol. So the beef must be real between the two since the beginning of this season specially some videos of them having confrontation, not just the punching incident.
944  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: June 23, 2023, 12:15:12 PM

Bitcoin has been very bullish at the moment it has managed to breakout from $30k and is likely to survive and will continue its bullishness this month,
I have seen many predictions that June will be good, and yes it has been proven.
if this momentum continues then Q3 will be a bullish month for cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin will surely ease into $50k again.

It just barely break the $30k price range though as it fluctuates from highs of $29k to lows of $30k, and so with that kind of movement, there is still a big resistance, a big wall in front of us.

Nevertheless, as shown previously, it can jump anytime if investors are going to be bullish and willing to pour their money because of so many positive news around. And just think of it, if just of those Spot ETF application was approved by SEC, the market will continue it's rally and could have another break out run to $35k. But a disapproval could also dampen the spirit of the market again.
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Having no money to invest in Bitcoin is even better on: June 23, 2023, 11:01:18 AM
I've studied most Bitcoin investors, those who have money to invest are the ones going around looking for someone to teach them how to invest, the first thing they want to learn is how to use the exchange to make purchases using Fiat on the exchange, they are always in hurry, they have no time.

Those who don't have money, have all the time to keep learning and reading stuff online about Bitcoin and the crypto space, they have no reason to be in any hurry and it seems they are the ones that avoid the unnecessary dramas in the crypto space because they took their time to learn first.

Do not walk away from Bitcoin investment because you don't have the money, it's even better not to have money because you will have the patience to learn more about everything, and when the money comes, you will be able to avoid many dramas.

I guess for the majority of us who discovered this community and started to join bitcoin paying signature campaigns then I will say that we are very lucky because we don't need money to begin with. From the campaigns we have, we learn how to save some and then re-invest it to something or do some trading or venture into maybe some altcoins.

But those who have the capital to begin with, it's easy for them. However, bitcoin investment is not a sprint, it's a marathon. So the longer we stay and continue to accumulate the better for us. And with that, we don't need to compare ourselves to some big whales, at the end of the day it's how we invest and not be affected by others.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 23, 2023, 09:54:33 AM
My reasoning might be speculative but it might help anyone who is looking to bet on this game. Some of you might question why Naoya Inoue challenged Stephen Fulton. The reason is simple, he is exceptionally talented, and with his accuracy to punch hard, he is worthy to challenge Stephen Fulton. Stephen Fulton has an impressive boxing record, he has shown the world his impressive defensive skills, and impressive footwork but lacks attacking abilities as per my understanding. Overall this would be an interesting match to watch and my research says that Naoya Inoue is a little better than Stephen Fulton. If betting is my primary objective, then I would bet on Naoya Inoue.

It's not a question why Inoue challenged Fulton, definitely he has the talent, it's the question on whether he can do it a a new weight class wherein he doesn't have the experience and we don't know if he can bring his power to this level.

Stephen Fulton has face a lot of great boxers as 122 lbs, for sure this could be his toughest test to date. But he is also confident that he can beat and take that 0 from Inoue. And another factor is that Fulton is a slick black fighter and it seems that Inoue hasn't fought this kind of boxer. All the boxer he fought wants to go toe to toe and not using movement at all.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 23, 2023, 08:29:34 AM
https://www.talkimg.com/images/2023/06/21/HTxb5.jpeg
ctto

Date: September 16
Venue: TBD

So, it's officially announced earlier that Jermall Charlo will move up in weight to challenge Canelo Alvarez which i think is the best fight for Canelo this year as a rematch with Bivol is too risky and yet he has nothing to gain if it will be in the SMW division.

What do you think of this fight guys, still cherry picking or Charlo will give Canelo a run for his money?

https://www.insidesport.in/canelo-alvarez-vs-jermall-charlo-boxing-clash-confirmed-for-september-16-ppv-service-and-more-info-revealed/

I do consider it a cherry pick. Charlo was a good fighter in his prime but never really reached the elite level. He's been inactive for 2 years now and will be fighting in a new weight class against Canelo.

David Benavidez is the opponent fans were hoping would face Canelo. He already earned the opportunity by becoming the interim champion but it seems that he is too much of a threat and wasn't even considered when Bivol and Badou Jack turned down offers from Canelo. There is no logical reason to choose a semi-retired fighter over Benavidez, but we've already become accustomed to Canelo picking and choosing the most beatable opponents.

Right, and the only fighter that went wrong with them is against Bivol, when they thought that they can beat the Russian. But Bivol was a different breed and was not affected by Canelo's skills or what not. He simply goes out there and fight his game and it could be the start of Canelo going downhill.

So Bivol declined their offer, they don't talk about the next Mexican warrior in Benadivez.

And then we are surprised to see them picking a inactive fighter and not a natural super middleweight.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 23, 2023, 08:16:48 AM
Chris Paul going to the Warriors as a backup for Steph Curry? I didn’t expect that. I guess CP3 thought that was his best chance at a ring. This to me means that Jordan Poole is done in Golden State. Crazy because I thought he would be next up, especially with Draymond rumored to be leaving the team this offseason. First surprise of the offseason…

Edit: Looks like Poole was in the trade. Checks out…

This is the craziest deal that I see, I don't really want to underestimate Chris Paul but the injury-prone CP3, but a likely good trade Jordan Poole and Draymond Green chemistry are likely to Crumble away so a good trade will be Jordan Poole to the other team but I am very negative about the Chris Paul trade if this is real, for me CP3 is not consistent but Consistent in getting injured, sorry Chris Paul fans but I am frustrated about this,

For sure the Warriors got the bad end of the deal in terms of getting the injury prone CP3, but they gained a veteran that will play 45-55 games a year and the got rid of the locker room drama. They're going to resign Draymond and want to fix their core, losing a decent but erratic shooter is not a big deal although pool has some major potential.
Draymond Green has done more in the Warriors franchise than Poole did, so I guess this is a good move by them to get rid of a player who didn't achieve anything yet, and choked last playoffs. For sure the Warriors will try and re-sign Green like you said, and let the core intact.

The question now is, will CP3 accept that he will be a bench player because most of the time, Curry is the starting PG of the Warriors. I don't see CP3, and Curry in the starting 5 because that will make them really small, and that will affect their defense. Just imagine their starting 5 of CP3, Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, and Green. They're really small if that's their starting 5. If CP3 really want to win a ring, he must accept his role in the Warriors as a sixth man, or they might trade him at the middle of the season. I still can't forget the time where CP3 danced in front of Curry when he shot a three pointer when the shot clock is about to expire. Cheesy Now they are teammates already.

As for the Wizards, they're on a rebuilding stage, and signing Poole, and develop him is a good choice. I wonder if Kuzma will be the next to be traded after trading KP and Beal.

Why not CP3 be the starting PG for the Warriors, then Curry be the SG or Klay on that position. Just so funny though that 3 days ago I saw a interview from Mike Dunleavy Jr and saying that with Poole's contract, he will stay with the Warriors. But after that he was traded.

For Kuzma, if I'm not mistaken he declined the offer from the Wizards and most likely be in the trading block as well.

And if that happens then Poole will act as the new franchise player.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trump Coin ($dtc) is starting to move. on: June 22, 2023, 10:42:18 AM
Lol, it's obvious that the OP is shilling about Trump coin, perhaps the question is, any use case for this project? Or it this simply a meme coin, a pump and dump project.

Unless Trump officially announces that he has launched a cryptocurrency, this currency is a scam.
Trump has not yet announced a cryptocurrency, and therefore I do not advise anyone to invest in it, regardless of the quick riches promises they make.

the only move that Trump Coin ($dtc) is starting to move is MOVING DOOOOOWWWWNNNN

Exactly, as I have said, this is simply a pump and dump activity that we have been seeing in the last couple of days, (if there are).

All major altcoin is moving because bitcoin is making a big rally. And then this manipulators chooses Trump coin to be their next altcoin that they are going to create a hype and pump it and then sold everything. And there will be a lot of victims here, those who jump the bandwagon and most likely this are newbies.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 22, 2023, 09:59:09 AM
Is it possible for a casino to go bankrupt because a player gets a very big win?

No, I haven't heard of any news that casino losses so much on players winning on their ground. That's why there is the house edge as safety needs for casinos to always win.

Although there could be days that they might be in the negative as let's say, there's a lot of slot players who won big, like the jackpot and all the floors are losing money in baccarat and others card games. But that is rare though, maybe just small percentage since the casino's existence. And what are the chances of that player winning big and then comeback the next day to lose everything?
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 22, 2023, 09:46:45 AM
But I think and maybe majority here will agree, than Nonito can still fight anyone at bantamweight not name Inoue and he has a likely chance to beat everyone of them and become a bantamweight champion again.

Agree and I mentioned it too before.

Likely, this fight will be Donaire's turning point in his decision if he will still continue to fight or not. However, it's good if Donaire will be matched against the top contenders in the 118 instead of Santiago although just to be clear, I'm not degrading the latter here.

Moving forward, if Donaire can't even stop Santiago, who is just currently unranked by the WBC, then time to hang his gloves now. But if successful to win, he will join Takuma Inoue (WBA) and Jason Moloney (WBC) as his co-title holders in the 118 and hoping for a unification match as his next fight.

It just happens that Donaire is gifted with vicious power and that will stay for a lifetime. Although he still needs good reflexes, speed, and timing in order to hit his target. So as long as Donaire can land his bombs inside 12 rounds then his chances of winning remain alive in every fight. Even the great Inoue was badly hurt and shaken. And it leads to the conclusion that if that was a prime Donaire it would've ended Inoue because the speed and stamina are still there to follow up and the Japanese will never recover.

This is the hallmark of an elite boxer for me. I mean when he was young he just rely on his power. But as he aged, he really works very hard with regards to his speed and timing and that's why he was able to stay that long.

I cannot remember the exact WBC rankings but I believe Santiago is ranked high since he got the chance to fight for the vacant belt? As far as I remember, #1 Moloney went the WBO route, #2 is Donaire, and #3 had a fight schedule last February which made him not available since the mandatory was issued that same month. I think it was Gaballo at #4 or #5. Santiago should be right there.

Santiago is #4, Nawaphon Sor. Rungvisai rank #2 and Gaballo rank #3 (which recently won a fight in Philippines if I remember reading it).

And Nawaphon Sor. Rungvisai vs Gaballo is also being ordered and most likely the winner will have to face the winner of Donaire vs Santiago.
952  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 100K FOR 2024 ! on: June 22, 2023, 07:47:26 AM

$100k in 2024 is still too far from the target because the halving will just happen in 2024,
usually if we look at history, the Bitcoin price can pump x2 or x4 from the ATH price,
we have to wait another year, I don't know maybe 2025 or 2026 Bitcoin can reach $ 100k,
for the time being just focus on getting to $ 30k or $ 50k.

You said it already, we have reached $30k in the last 2 days, so obviously there is a rally that is going on right now because of companies applying for a Bitcoin Spot ETF. And if we talk about the price at pre-halving, I wouldn't be surprised if we hit $40k-$50k at the end of the year.

So most likely $100k could be achieved in the next bull run, looking at the last all time high at $69k, we could be looking at around $150k-$180k, my rough estimates as how big could be the next bull run.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2023, 07:30:54 AM
I guess saw this on my twitter feed,

https://twitter.com/SportsCenter/status/1671737877837824001

So perhaps Celtics will have to find another defensive player, or at least 2 way player for that matter. And Smart could be the replacement for Dillon Brooks. Hopefully he can be a good mentor to Ja Morant  Grin.

Edit:
Celtics receive: Kristaps Porziņģis, 2023 & 2024 first-round pick

Grizzlies receive: Marcus Smart

Wizards receive: Tyus Jones, 2023 second-round pick
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 4 Altcoins to look at in 2023 on: June 18, 2023, 12:05:04 PM
It will be very important as usual to make good selections of our coins and while Bitcoin is looking very bullish right now, holding some Altcoins is very important because in a bull run, Altcoins are frequently outperforming Bitcoin because of new technology and innovation.

What's your Altcoin to look at in 2023?

From the 4 projects that you have described in your post, i don't any, except from a little Ethereum that i need to pay gas fees obviously but i can agree that avalanche, chainlink and of course also Ethereum are solid projects. I just don't know if they are that hot anymore. There are so many new blockchains out there now that are all offering smart contracts, low fees and fast transactions. Also i  would never buy Dogecoin to be honest. It is just a useless meme coin.

Same here, maybe perhaps we are more of a investors of solid projects like bitcoin. And with that, we are going to hold as long as we can, and most likely still buying up to this day to include in our portfolio.

I have another altcoin though, but I would rather keep it secret.

So best of luck to the OP, maybe it really looks solid, or maybe he already has this in his portfolio and trying to hype it here. And maybe in the future, if we are in the bull run, this coins are going to be 10x minimum.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 18, 2023, 11:49:16 AM
Yeah I felt remorse when I was gamble to earn money, but I learn to accept losses and find the enjoyment through gambling, I never felt remorse after gambling anymore. It's all about your mindset, someone who gamble without looking to earn money will not mad or sad when if they lose. Remember, gamble isn't for everyone especially people who still earn less than their monthly needs.
Disappointments and regrets/remorse, I indeed feel those things and sometimes it happens to me. Why? Because the moment that I gamble, I'm already expecting to win and very unfortunate that it never ends like that where losses are gonna happen even if we don't like it. That is why I've practiced stopping thinking about winning and imagining it and rather thinking that I was enjoying this so it never hurts me more but less pain. It is accepted that it was hard to get lucky in gambling rather than being too unlucky that's why we often lose than bring home the jackpot prize.

I think everyone has went to that kind of emotions when we gamble, specially regrets and that what ifs after a lose. What if we didn't gamble that money or what if we stop when we are still in the winning ways.

But I guess for the majority of gamblers, we already know that sooner or later we are going to lose everything. But we still go and take that risk and it's going to be very difficult to us once we lost that money.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 18, 2023, 11:02:04 AM
But he is not happy with the Suns anymore, specially the previous owner didn't have him a rookie max contract. And he has issues with their former coach as well, Monty Williams. But since Monty is no longer their coach, most likely though that Ayton will be traded as well.

There's no reason for a team to keep a player who is not happy with the team anymore. It's quite obvious, actually, how Ayton played in the series against the Nuggets. He could not even dominate using his athleticism, and he does not hustle a lot for rebounds. His character does not fit anymore, and since the Suns already have Durant and Booker, who obviously have great chemistry, it might be acceptable to part ways with CP3 and Ayton and replace them with more useful players to pursue their championship goal.

Yes, that has been the plan, not sure though why Ayton still continue to play this year, I thought that he will be traded already. But he continue to play but then again we seen that he has no heart during the Nuggets series. I thought that it will be a good matchup, enough for Ayton to at least contain Jokic and hold his ground. But he simply doesn't have the heart and that is why he was very much criticized on that series. So no surprised that he will be on the trading block as well before the start of a new season.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 18, 2023, 10:39:20 AM
Checking the internet and this thread it looks like we will really have this fight although it's still a month before the fight let's pray that no injury or last-minute change of mind will happen, if the fight will not push through this July it will not push through anymore.

The hype is very high the expectations are soaring, and nobody will miss this fight so hopefully all systems go, this is a candidate for the match of the year if both fighters come in their best form.

Of course, we will see this happen, and they will no longer make excuses to ruin people's expectations.

This fight should happen so we can witness the best of the best emerge as the winner. Personally, Crawford is always my choice to win as he has been very consistent in his pursuit to fight Spence. Although I must say that we cannot guarantee who the winner of the fight will be, based on the betting odds, I strongly believe that Crawford will win by KO.

And looking at our votes, we prefer or we think that Crawford will win this fight, but for sure it's going to be close and not easy as both fighters are in their prime and we can say the best in the 147 lbs.

By KO though, very hard to see, Spence is the bigger guy here, that's how I see it and he hasn't been knockdown or touch the canvass before. So it's going to take a lot from Crawford to KO Spence in this fight, just saying. But if you think that he can do it, definitely you can go with it as the odds are that attractive.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a mistake shorting BTC at 17k on: June 18, 2023, 10:14:00 AM
Hello OP here..

Im still DCA through 2023😁 now at 0.2btc.My average is 23.5k

Now when look my first post its really funny to see i actually sold my BTC when stocks(SP500) bottomed lol. Glad i got back..

Good for you mate, and as what others suggested you should have buy back and that's what you did. I also did DCA for quite some time and will continue to stack sats even after the block halving. In short just buy as much as we can, or as what our budget can afford.

And let this be a lessons for others though, even if we sell, there is still a chance for us to buy back. It might take some time though as we all know that DCA strategy could be tailor fit to your budget and strategy.
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: The low support level may still be tested during 2023. on: June 17, 2023, 08:48:14 PM

Good news is getting more and more coming and I'm sure the Bitcoin support level has been reached at the end of 2022 which reached $ 16k,
and now the bitcoin price is still above $ 20k I don't think this year has touched a new support level anymore but we in 2023 can reach this level resistance,
moreover Good news from China can be a booster for the crypto market.

And it's good to see that somewhat the bloodshed has stop, we are still very much in the $26k range. We've recovered some after the start of this week when the price drop <$25k.

I'm not really sure what good news you are waiting from China, but I highly doubt it. And I will take everything with a grain of salt coming from them. The best thing to do is just remain calm, and wait for a true bull run, not artificial boost in the price or some form of manipulation. But remember though that we are still in the bear market so the price could drop anytime but hopefully there's no more lowest lows for us.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 17, 2023, 08:04:35 PM
Ok there is a rumor circulating around that Canelo's next fight won't be Bivol and not against Benavidez as well.

Again, this is just a rumor, it is said that it will be Canelo va Jermall Charlo. Jermall last fight though is 2019, so not sure why Canelo and his camp are picking a inactive fighter and not even a true 168 super middle weight boxer.

Sure Jermall is a middle champion, but he will have to go up in weight and fight Canelo at his best weight.

And it seems that Canelo is really cherry picking his fight now or someone in his team did. So let's see if this fight is going to be developed and will actually going to happen late this year. This fight though might hit Canelo's legacy as he duck Benavidez and then his rematch with Bivol.

So far, there are two things that might explain why Canelo picked Jermall Charlo instead of picking some bad boy in the same division as him or at least active.

1. They chose Charlo to keep Canelo warmed up until they can establish a negotiating position with Bivol because as of now, Bivol shows no interest in Canelo because of the terms being given to them even after upsetting Canelo in their first clash.

2. Canelo's career is in sundown already and what they are doing right now is just taking advantage of Canelo's fame while he can still sell a fight while picking a much safer boxer that will match the equation. I mean, that fight with John Ryder might be a tune-up but that also revealed Canelo's current situation and most probably revealed the likelihood if he will fight heavy named boxers.

Both scenario is possible, I like the second option though, yes, admit it or not, after his final fight with GGG, it seems all the energy was zap up from Canelo plus the injury that he suffered. Then we have the wear and tear, which is the usual culprit for a boxer to suddenly feel old and no longer in his prime.

So if Reynoso see that Canelo is on the way out or his career is on the sundown, then they pick a easy way with Jermall Charlo, a good fighter, known in the US is a champion as well. In paper it looks good, but Canelo has all the advantage here and they can see if Canelo still can pull the trigger or really on the decline already.
