TNT vs Beermen tonight at 7:30 PM.

There's no spread for this game yet but the moneyline odds for TNT is x20. Looks attractive but knowing their struggle, I think betting on that is just a waste of money. Maybe the spread is around 20+, so I guess I would just stay away from this game, this is very hard to predict.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 07, 2023, 10:31:51 AM
Here's the Mock Trade:

Miami Heat gets:
Damian Lillard
Jusuf Nurkic

Portland Trail Blazers gets:
Ben Simmons
Kyle Lowry
Nikola Jovic
2028 first-round pick (via Brooklyn)
2028 first-round pick (via Miami)
2030 first-round pick (via Miami)

Brooklyn Nets gets:
Tyler Herro
2026 second-round pick (via Miami)

Source: https://allucanheat.com/2023/07/06/perfect-3-team-trade-damian-lillard-miami-heat/

If this trade happens Heat would rob all of them. Getting Lillard and Nurkić for basically nothing is a great deal for them. Lowry is at the retirement stage, maybe this is his last year. Nikola Jović didn't get any time in Heat and Herro is not an indispensable player. Jimmy Butler and Damian Lillard combo would work in next 2 seasons as we may see Heat in finals again.

Nurkic would serve as a legitimate center or a backup for Bam, providing significant help to the Heat in their pursuit of becoming championship contenders next season. While the Blazers may face challenges in the upcoming season, the trade offer could be beneficial for the team if they have long-term success in mind. Perhaps Lillard is truly seeking a coach who prioritizes defense, something he hasn't experienced in Portland.
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you not hodling on: July 06, 2023, 11:06:07 PM
Not holding has made me gain what i would have lost, so i just think if you already have enough thats when HODL is in the right frame, my first encounter thought me a great lesson i hodl, money that was over 2 million turned 500 hundred thousand, this was HYDRO COIN it was an airdrop token. not that HODLING is not GOOD it is but NOT me....
I think you actually invested in the wrong coin which led you to that acquire that massive lost, or maybe you bought at a time when the market was already up and then the later dip now affected your portfolio. Holding is not a bad idea especially if you know exactly what you are getting into because if you are not prepared and ready you might probably just end up wasting a lot of money all in the name having an investment.

That is the result of investing shitcoins or what we called - investing blindly. We thought that investing cheap coins will give us huge rewards and that is my experience before, and yes, I was experiencing terrible losses that I couldn't easily forget. However, we must move forward, we might fall but this is not the reason why we stop because time is certainly good as we know already what we have to do. At some point, we gonna hold but in a situation like that, we'd rather throw them and invest in another project/s.
984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a successful Bitcoin investor as a newbies? on: July 06, 2023, 10:11:19 PM
Newbies do not literally mean that they are less knowledgeable and less experienced in the market. They might be new in the market but some may have gained knowledge and experience even before about crypto investment. So the only thing I can see that is an important factor to be a successful bitcoin investor is how you manage your greed and emotions when investing. You may have good amount of bitcoin in your portfolio but that won’t be enough to say that you’ll be in huge profits especially if you don’t have the patience to hold and you easily fall on market FUDs that let you create your wrong decisions and end up regretting and losing.
That is probably because they have a lack of experience and they wanted to know what are the usual things to do when starting trading. Although they might have the knowledge and ideas already or have been using a demo account but that is somewhat different when doing it actually which sends them asking. It was really hard to reach our goal if there is already uncertainties and I see that newbies are working to eliminate and replace them with courage and trust when they know what are the things needed. And they will keep asking until they become satisfied.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 06, 2023, 02:14:16 PM
There's no other player as athletic as Thompson, so I agree with you that Abando should take his place. Give this kid a chance, as he has already proven himself to be a superstar in the KBL (Korean Basketball League), and he deserves more playing time. I don't understand why Coach Chot wasn't as impressed with him, especially considering his popularity on the international stage.
This may open up an opportunity for Abando to gain more minutes, but let's see how coach Chot will manage his team. Abando is relatively new to the team compared to other players who are already familiar with the types of gameplay coach Chot has employed in the past. Additionally, team chemistry plays a crucial role, and considering Abando's recent arrival, starting him could still be a question mark.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: July 06, 2023, 01:14:47 PM
Yes I think winning bet is totally depends on luck. But everyone tries their best to win bet. But winning bet becomes very difficult when one bet without understanding the games. I think we should have good idea before gambling.  We have to bet later. And if we bet without a good idea, our money will be at risk.
every gambling activity even though it is a sports bet which can be predicted also still depends on luck because sometimes the underdog team can still lose even worse if we bet on sports we don't know about and only bet on underdog teams. maybe if we are lucky we will get a win but if not, it's just like a casino game.
so the reason is clear enough that we always bet on certain sports because we always do an analysis before betting to get a win and on the one hand if we really want to try betting on other sports we can try our luck with a small amount of betting on the favorite team.
You can't eliminate luck entirely, as it is one of the factors that all gamblers seek. However, there are bettors who have confidence in their skills and knowledge of the sports they are betting on. These individuals prioritize consistency and rely on their expertise rather than solely relying on luck. They see luck as an additional bonus in their earnings.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: July 05, 2023, 10:31:23 PM
This is already been an existing complaint for many years already and no solution has yet to find from the developers. It is very unfortunate but somehow, we leave no other option but to pay huge fees if we wanted to move our ERC20 tokens and accept the reality and keep moving. We can't just give up because of high fees and we don't need to wait either to decrease before taking it back otherwise, we are wasting our precious time. And we can't expect as well the team will settle it down as we've done the upgrades but still have no impact on its fees.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 05, 2023, 12:59:38 PM
If in case he will win and Casimero will continue his winning stats, we might see them meeting in the same ring as long as Inoue
choose to stay in this current division.

f Inoue is also willing to fight Casimero, it would be intriguing, considering that Inoue had a chance to face Casimero in the bantamweight division but chose not to pursue it. Now that they will meet in the super bantamweight division, hopefully Casimero will become a mandatory challenger, leaving Inoue with no excuses to avoid fighting him.

Why don't we just focus on Inoue's upcoming fight? Whether we like it or not, it seems unlikely for them to face each other if it's not something desired by Inoue's camp. Inoue is incredibly fortunate with his rise, and if he wins this fight, he can proceed to a unification fight or move up in weight class again.

There is a possibility that Casimero may even retire without proving himself against Inoue. Perhaps Inoue's camp is also afraid that Casimero might have a lucky shot and diminish Inoue's fame.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 05, 2023, 12:19:55 PM
Just one question to the veterans out here, if i bet for Ginebra now for that ML odds, would i be violating bookies' TC since i already bet for Meralco last night with an odds of @2.05?

Firstly, I am not a veteran, but I can answer your question based on my experience. I have done that before, and I have had no issues when it comes to waiting for the bets to be settled. In my opinion, there is no violation involved in taking advantage of such opportunities to make money by betting on both teams and accepting the odds offered. Such opportunities are rare, and besides, the potential winnings are typically just a small percentage when betting on both teams with underdog moneyline odds.

I have also tried it once, and I didn't encounter any problems, so I believe it's a normal way of betting, similar to hedging your bets. This type of betting is commonly known as 'arbitrage betting.' By the way, I hope @bisdak40 didn't bet on Ginebra because Meralco is currently leading by double digits, indicating that they are likely to win the game.
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 04, 2023, 11:33:02 AM
Hopefully in the next match Magnolia will perform well again with the aim that we can bet there.
They are very consistent, so there is a 100% reason to bet on them. Personally, I would take whatever spread they have in their next game because I know they have a high chance of covering it. Sometimes, we have to be cautious when choosing the underdog, as they could be a big trap that results in losing money. What may seem attractive to us may not reflect the actual game, as seen with Meralco being an underdog with a +12.5 spread. In reality, they were simply dominated.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2023, 11:00:26 AM
According to the latest news I've read, there is only one team that Damian Lillard wants to be traded to now and that is the Miami Heat. (Shams Charania)

If this trade happens, it will be very good for the Miami Heat.
Do you think this trade will happen?

I believe the trade is likely to happen since Lillard has expressed his desire to leave the team. It wouldn't make sense for the Blazers to keep him if he wants to go elsewhere. They will likely engage in negotiations to find a trade deal that they consider fair. Currently, there are no other teams rumored to be involved in talks for Lillard, so it seems that he specifically wants to join the Heat. That's what we should believe for now.
992  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 01, 2023, 09:22:37 PM

Here's BTC's monthly chart.  It's looking good.  Up 11.99% for June.  Basing it on pure optics, it looks like it's going up some more.  And I feel like more people will vote 'yes' in this month's poll.

I was into that market view. This 3rd quarter was probably have the chance to see the price of Bitcoin will move and getting a distance from the $30k barrier. I have the insights that we will reach $35k this month but still with some corrections moving it up and down. And that person can be right in his assumptions, rise is probably what we are going to experience this month. However, this will also change depending on how the community responds and manage their emotions upon reading the FUDs.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield farming vs Staking on: July 01, 2023, 08:43:45 PM
I've came across "yield farming" which looks quite similar to staking. You basically go on a "hunt" for "De-Fi" platforms which offer the best rates for your stablecoin (or token) holdings. This is done in a non-custodial manner through the use of smart contracts. On staking, I can basically "delegate" my coins to a validator and earn daily income.

What I want to know is if "yield farming" is better than staking. An overview of the advantages/disadvantages between the two would be nice. Any clarifications would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Well, I'd never tried yield farming so can't say it was more profitable or not compared to staking. But then, I would say that I wasn't really a fan of doing this after having an unsatisfying experience with staking and this yield farming is just the same results (probably). Developers will try to create another term for staking just to divert the views and insights of those who have experienced this. And the only advantage that we get is earning a few bucks but the risk is too high.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you decide on a buy price target? on: July 01, 2023, 08:26:55 PM
Predicting the market is not good because the fast paced of it cannot be determined when to buy nor to sell, no on really knows and no one can outsmart the market as well. To lessen the stress, must better to apply DCA regarding on what crypto would you like to buy. Its much better that way, less stress and you can always set a schedule when to buy using DCA methods.
Just to admit that investing in shitcoins is stressful even to say that we are applying the DCA strategy.
Everyone has their own way of determining when to buy and the price target. But for me, I was certain about buying when the market price is down, holding, and then selling at a high. That is why it is very important that we must know how to analyze the market trend and must have to consider some trading tools that would help us in making a decision.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 01, 2023, 07:34:33 PM
Why not let’s just finish talking about right or wrong, fail or success question here. It’s nonsense and totally waste time if we keep talking on this topic. I have done my strategy setup on Dice. Why not go have a look? You just need spent 10mins time and 0 dollar. I would like to do more than talk. The name on Kick.com is FuckDice.
No matter how you trust your strategy it will still be more considerate to take into consideration some other factors that can work against that strategy and if care is not taken you will record multiple losses in the long run.

But then I have not tried the site or your strategy, but I am certain that dice have no provable working mechanism.
In fact, the trust can't be given too easily. Indeed, let us assume that OP is seeing his strategy as good but we can't tell that everyone will agree. Maybe trying it helps OP to have peace of mind but yes, this won't make everyone says it was right because our experience would tell something different. And besides, when it comes to dice gambling, it all just relies on luck. No matter what we gonna do, we are still reliant on luck, and very unfortunate that it never comes as we want it.
996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still do business with them? on: July 01, 2023, 07:01:28 PM
Yes, I do believe that everyone deserves a second chance even when it comes to our money and investment as long as we also see some positive changes that is going to take place. But regardless if an exchange is highly reputable or not, the fact that it’s centralized means we don’t have the full control of our investment anymore, then we should take extra careful and caution when doing business with them. And of course, by putting only a small amount of coins at an exchange, we are minimizing the risk of losing.
I agree with the 2nd chance but regarding trust, that was unfortunately not the same as before. Yes, we now become more cautious because even we do business with them again but I know there is already negativity that appears on our mind. But honestly, as the doubts and uncertainties come, this is not a good and healthy investment already. It is better not to continue doing business with them rather than get into such a feeling because it only creates negativity which is somehow not ideal for making a business.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Experienced Winning Bets By Upsets on: July 01, 2023, 01:47:45 PM

    -   I haven't tried what you say is the underdog. Because in my opinion, it is better that we gamble naturally than you conspire in such a way. Isn't that style like cheating? I'm just asking this, because I don't know such an underdog.

All I know is that when I gamble, I play just to entertain myself and maybe even get lucky if I win just for fun. And when I lose, I stop immediately, that's the simple thing I do.
Underdog means that you are betting on the team that has a higher chance of losing but surprisingly it wins in the end.
Of course, we can't simply think it will but because luck was on us, that become possible. However, it was not our type to do that because we love to choose the one that has higher chances of winning which makes us ignore the underdog teams. But because we don't hold and dictate the results, things like this are possible.
998  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 01, 2023, 01:33:19 PM
Assuming that I have this, then I would have nothing to ask more other than to have time to enjoy my life with the wealth and help my family and relatives to start building their own. Many people are dreaming for that great achievement in life and getting to such a point is not easy and it was not possible without the help of others. That is why I think it was the best time to reward them and make them also happen of my achievement and to assure these people that their contribution is really appreciated so they will keep loyal and continue working with me.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: July 01, 2023, 11:42:09 AM
The answer is really simple: Keep controlling your gambling budget and never get addicted playing casino games aka slots. Sports betting is better than casino games since impatient person can lose everything on additive slots due to being incompetent. I personally suggest not playing for few months and that person will never feel that urge to deposit since that feeling is hidden in our psychology. Just my 2 cents.

In our world of nowadays that is very difficult to achieve as we are "besieged" by those activities that draw us into gambling. We can set a budget yes but this only works to slot machines based on my experience as there you can play long enough even with a small budget and call it a day after you lose this budget while in sport betting you can say to yourself how come I lost all balance in just 2 bets that I made,I did not enjoy this at all and you go and put more money into it trying to get the next bet. Both are very dangerous activities to people who lack self discipline and patience as they are the most common victims of this.I agree with you staying away a few months removes that hidden desire to keep gambling.
I understand why some gamblers get hard stopping their gambling habits because they can't move on and forget their losses as they want to get them back. It has to be noted that gambling sites or casinos are growing too fast and this is because the demand is increasing.
But if we really have the goal to stop gambling, it is possible unless, if we do nothing to help it. No matter what we say or hear suggestion but if we are not serious about our target, it only fails.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 30, 2023, 11:28:36 AM
I have never seen in my entire MMA and boxing observation life, that a fighter, who isnt much unique, came from such a pause and had a victory over the best boxer of division.

That's really true. Maybe the chance of Charlo winning this fight is very slim. He took this big fight because it's an opportunity for him to earn more money. But hopefully, he will not be punished by his decision, because instead of having a tune-up fight in his comeback, he directly challenged Canelo, who is in his dominant division.
