981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 20, 2023, 03:33:13 AM
It seems that Oscar wanted to go to legal actions here:

Quote
The Hall of Fame former six-division titlist is prepared to take legal action to protect the rights of England’s Ohara Davies, the top-rated WBA junior welterweight contender who Golden Boy Promotions signed earlier this spring. Davies was named mandatory challenger to current titlist Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, for which a purse bid hearing was indefinitely postponed as the sanctioning body will review medical documents provided on July 21 by Romero’s team.

https://www.boxingscene.com/de-la-hoya-demands-answers-threatens-legal-action-enforce-romero-davies-wba-mandatory-title-fight--177011

He wanted to have his bod, Ohara Davies to fight current WBA 140 lbs champion in Rolly Romero. But it seems there is a delay from the governing body to issue a mandatory fight and Oscar is eager for the WBA to give it to them. It was ordered already that a fight is to be made and maybe this is the contention of Oscar that's why he goes on legal actions to forced WBA to commit to it.

He has the right, and I believe he knows himself well enough to expect a victory in this battle. Furthermore, there's money at stake in this championship fight. Not only that, if his fighter defeats Rolly, it will open up even bigger opportunities for them to maximize their earnings. So, if I understand it correctly, there's a delay in the fight; it's not completely canceled yet. Oscar's camp simply wants to ensure that the fight will happen by setting a specific date.

For a businessman like him, waiting for nothing is just a wasted opportunity, so he wants to enforce what is due to happen.

Ok it looks like the WBA doesn't want to go to court and so they are going to force Rolly Romero till Monday to let them know if he is injured or not or fight his mandatory.

Quote
Rolando Romero has until the end of business Monday to either show proof of injury or honor his mandatory title defense obligation.

Failure by Romero to comply either with the medical request or the demand to next face Davies could result in his being stripped of the title.

https://www.boxingscene.com/rolando-romero-issued-hard-deadline-submit-proof-injury-ahead-mandatory-title-defense--177072

So it's good to finally see some movement regarding Romero vs Davies. And obviously, if Rolly is just taking time not to defend his belt against the mandatory then he should be stripped of his belt and make it vacant so the next rank fighters can duke it out.
982  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Trusted PH Online Casino na tumatanggap ng gcash? on: August 20, 2023, 03:15:01 AM
Na check mo na arenaplus.ph? At inplay.ph? Pagcor credited sila at partnered ng evolution gaming at most likely may gcash payments din both deposit and withdrawals.

983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: August 20, 2023, 03:03:12 AM
I’ve been gambling for a long time which make sme experience tons of losses and gains at the same time. On this topic, I listed below the typical scenario whenever I experience loss. I notice this before but I’m ignoring it because I don’t want to believe that it’s really the cause.

Scenario when I lose in gambling
  • Waking up early morning to play gambling without eating any breakfast

Yes, I can relate to this, and now that gambling is accessible, I think we both play that evolution or Jili games, hehehe.

  • When someone badgering me behind while I’m playing

That's what we call "buraot"  Grin Grin

  • When I already on adrenaline mode after losing more than 50% of my bankroll and start chasing losses using huge bets.

Yeah, it's because we wanted to get that loss in just short amount of time, so we beat big and hope to win and order to cover for it

  • Gambling late night while I feel already sleepy

This though I don't do, if I'm sleep head, then I simply go to bed.

  • Playing gambling after a recent huge win

Yes, because I think I can extend my luck.

  • When I already huge amount while I can’t withdraw my balance due to my pending deposit

Yes, there were times that I can't even play, I was ban for a week and accused me of cheating, hehehe. But they allow me to withdraw after a week and lift my ban from there casino. This is not crypto related casinos though.[/list]
984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: August 19, 2023, 05:00:13 PM
All of that comes back at uncertain times, we all don't know how far the correction will occur and the bull run will occur, so I think indeed to buy Bitcoin there are many indications that must be seen and also plans regarding investments that will be made in future, long term or daily trading that we will do.
I myself have always seen great opportunities and am optimistic about Bitcoin in the future, so I think anytime I have the capital to invest is quite appropriate before it returns to its highs.
If you talk about time, I think for now is the time to invest in Bitcoin according to your beliefs. But if you talk about capital, I think it will be very varied and different because not everyone can have the same amount of capital so some people still have to outsmart their capital so they can invest in Bitcoin at this very affordable price. Overall, I am also still quite optimistic about seeing Bitcoin as a future investment asset, so I also continue to make and recommend investments to people who already believe in Bitcoin.

Yes but we need to hurry up, prices seems to be recovering today or in the last 24 hours, it went as low as $25k, but it has regain back the support line at $26k. So the opportunity might pass along and we need to be quick and decisive in our decision to invest as this opportunity might not present itself again.

Just imagine if you will be able to buy back at $25k and then the price shoots up to 6 digits in the next bull run. It will be a big profit to all of us, that's why this is a perfect and golden opportunity to re-invest again.
985  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Europe's First Bitcoin ETF on: August 19, 2023, 04:44:12 PM
For the second time, Europe overtakes the USA. First the MICA law and then the first exchange-traded fund (ETF).

https://decrypt.co/148433/jacob-asset-management-launch-europe-first-bitcoin-etf
"Europe has beaten the U.S. with the roll-out of the first Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) as London-based Jacobi Asset Management today announced the product's listing on Euronext Amsterdam.

After receiving approval from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) in October 2021, the firm initially planned to launch its Bitcoin ETF product last year.

It, however, decided to postpone the launch, deeming it an inopportune time due to the collapse of the Terra ecosystem and the bankruptcy of the FTX crypto exchange.

Today, the Jacobi FT Wilshire Bitcoin ETF is finally live, trading under the ticker BCOIN. It charges investors a 1.5% annual management fee."

____
Under pressure from institutional investors, the spot Bitcoin ETF is likely to be in the US next year.

Yeah, and perhaps United States is just watching in the sideline and see what will it bring to the market though. And again, it just shows the difference between the government in EU as compare to the US which seems to be very strict or at least there is some political motivation behind not to approved any Bitcoin ETF for that matter.

And for us Bitcoin enthusiast, for sure majority is excited how everything will turn out in the side of the globe.
Just another baby steps but for sure the effect will be huge for us in the future.

why not hire a private investigator if you are so desperate to find information about Sara Leppänen? you are not getting much help here in the forum because you fail to provide any information about the issue and because doxxing is discouraged here(as nutildah has said).

Yeah, as far as this community goes, and even if have the freedom here, doxxing is discourage by Theymos. We can read everything here,

So in any case, if up to you how to chase Sara Leppänen, whether to hire private investigator or not, but the community will not be part of it, sorry to burst the bubble for you.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: August 19, 2023, 07:04:57 AM
We have witnessed Tank vs. King Ry, Inoue vs. Fulton and Crawford vs. Spence. I am shaking my head why this young Devin Haney does not fight Shakur Stevenson and risk is undisputed lightweight championship against the best. These young boxers are sometimes only good in trashtalk, however, the opponents in their records are not big names.

Perhaps that's the reason why the Haney's sign with PBC, as he doesn't want to rematch Loma or fight Top Ranks Shakur Stevenson. But maybe they realized that they eat more than they can chew in choosing a reigning 140 lbs titlist in Regis Prograis. Much better, and has more power than any fighter that they have fought and so they want to take control of the negotiations in any way they can.

@Darker45 - if I'm not mistaken, the date is supposedly Oct 28 for them to clash.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 19, 2023, 06:47:51 AM

Top Rank and Bob Arum should convince his handlers to at least go to US and explore their options there. Maybe there could be more money in the US market for them and they really need to break in the current market. Inoue is amongst the p4p right now, the US audience needs to see him fight live in their soil just like what Manny did during his prime. Asian fighter conquering US and making jump in weight classes.

That's the only criticism leveled at Inoue, despite him being a great boxer. I read an article stating that Floyd wants to see Inoue fight in the US. This country offers better opportunities for boxers like him, and he could also find better challengers in a larger market. I suppose he needs to accept that challenge to silence those who believe Inoue's victories are due to his fights being mainly in Japan.
Why does Floyd's statement matters? He said himself that he's just an ordinary fans now, just like us, because his time with the industry was already over and he certainly don't have any say whether the boxer chose to fight in his own country or not. But I get what's he trying to say because since Inoue's name grew bigger, he doesn't fight anymore outside Japan because they say that they can also get that much profit in their own country.

Quote
I've also come across rumors about Inoue potentially fighting Tank Davis at a catch weight. I think that could be lucrative for both fighters. However, the question remains, do both of them see this as an opportunity?
I hear that one too but both camps aren't saying something towards each other to make the flame grew bigger. Maybe that will happen soon if Inoue will climb another ladder again because right now, they are divisions apart each other.

Maybe Floyd is just giving his advise to Inoue? Everyone of us wanted to see him fight in the US for sure as it is the mecca of boxing.

As for the rumours of Davis and Inoue, yeah, it was Stephen Espinoza, President of Showtime (SHO) who throws that idea to the public that it could be great if we will see this 2 pound pound fighter face off in the ring.

But for now it's a fantasy fight, even at a catchweight, I don't see it happening. Maybe if we see Inoue going as high as 130 lbs in the next couple of years then yeah maybe we can entertain it. But so far, Davis can go as high as 140-147 lbs.

Joshua’s Promoter Giving Wilder Negotiations 2 To 3 Weeks Or AJ Will Fight In Nov Or Dec

Quote
By Jake Tiernan: Eddie Hearn has put a 2 to 3-week timeframe for when he wants the Deontay Wilder fight wrapped up for Anthony Joshua’s mega-fight in January in Saudi Arabia. Hearn says if it’s not completed within two or three weeks, he could start looking for a fight for Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) in November or December.

This is an important piece of news, and from here, we can track the progress of the negotiation. Hopefully, Wilder's camp will respond promptly and not waste time in ensuring that this significant fight will take place. What AJ's promoter is attempting to convey is their desire for an immediate response. If they can't secure an answer within that timeline, they will proceed with their business plans but with a different opponent.

If I'm not mistaken, Eddie Hearn has been talking about the Wider fight, even before Joshua was supposed to fight Whyte/Helenius. And that fight is treated as a tune up fight for Joshua and it just so happen that Helenuis got knockout and so Joshua's confidence is back at all time high.

And with that win, they are on track to have a fight with Wilder and hopefully it can happen this year or early next year.

Doubt that the Wilder fight with Ruiz is going to push as he might go directly to fight AJ in the Middle East for more money.

Here is the update of supposedly, Ruiz vs Wilder mandated fight by the WBC, and it's not happening, hehehe,

Quote
The WBC has abandoned its prior attempt to determine a mandatory challenger for the heavyweight title.

A previously ordered Deontay Wilder-Andy Ruiz title eliminator is no longer required, the sanctioning body ruled Friday. The fight never had a chance to take place given recent events, including ongoing efforts for Wilder to next face fellow former heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua likely early next year in the Middle East.

https://www.boxingscene.com/wbc-abandons-wilder-ruiz-final-eliminator-revisit-mandatory-process-november--177049

So it just shows how corrupt WBC and the Sulaiman,  Grin they initial ordered a fight between the Ruiz and Wilder and then later change their decision not to and allow Joshua (as he win against Helenius) to fight Wilder in the Middle East.

And for sure, as Eddie Hearn secures big money from Middle East, the Sulaiman's has a cut on it.  Grin

992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go above $30,000? on: August 18, 2023, 05:17:07 PM
Looking at recent market trends, $30k is far-fetched. The Bitcoin price tumbled below $26k, ETF approval is delayed till 2024, Space X sold their Bitcoin holdings, and China's Evergrande filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy in Newyork. All these factors have contributed to this recent price dip. The chances are that the price might go further down towards $20k or below. So brace yourself as the worst is about to come.

Despite such odd news I still believe that Bitcoin has a bright next year because of halving. I just read on the forum that Space X has sold out its 363 million USD worth of bitcoin holdings and to me this is not a huge sell off. Price of Bitcoin is very difficult to predict, right now its at 26.5k and it has the tendency to go in both directions from here. Just don't panic and don't sell your Bitcoins on discount to whales at this point.

Yes, just like the previous halving, prior to approaching that activity, we have the pandemic in March, causing the price to really plummet to $3k. But we have bounce back to even hit a new all time high. So this is just a mental test for us again. Right now there is a huge dip that we didn't anticipate but we can't do anything about it but to face it head on.

So no need to panic, if ever you have the capital then invest it right away @26k because we might not see this price again in the future.

994  Economy / Speculation / Re: Low Interest Rates Impact Bitcoin's Next Halving Price Surge? on: August 17, 2023, 08:31:07 PM
Could the next Bitcoin halving potentially result in a price increase that is different from previous patterns, where low interest rates were a key factor behind the price surge?
Some argue that because the last halving occurred during a time of very low interest rates, this dynamic might not repeat in the upcoming halving.
Can anyone explain how interest rates influenced the past halving's impact on bitcoin's price and whether this could challenge the expectations of a price increase in the next halving?

I guess the simple explanation is that or as the way I understand it, if FEDs cut interest rates, it causes the price to go up and conversely, if they increased the interest rates, then the price will be affected negatively, thus it might go down.

However, as far as bitcoin halving is concern, not sure if it will have a impact. Remember that the last halving we have, we are in the pandemic and yet throughout that bull run period, the price goes up despite the lockdown and the economy not moving at all during that time frame. So for now, there could be events that might have a financial global effect, but if could not impact the next bull run, in my opinion.

996  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go above $30,000? on: August 17, 2023, 12:08:04 PM
Bitcoin’s price always depends on it’s users. I don’t see why you exactly mentioned 30k usd? Is this because of the coin struggling in 29k usd price segment for few months?

Most likely this is the case, we have been struggling to really go to $30k this year, yes we achieved it already but it seems that something about this price that it become a bigger psychological barriers for traders and speculators to break.

You need to understand the policies which affect the price of Bitcoins. Bitcoins are limited in number, hence very rare. So if their’s users sells more coins then buying it, then the demand to acquire Bitcoins goes down and along with it, the price also goes down. The reverse needs to happen in order for the price to go up.

I think you meant the fundamentals, yeah it's based on supply and demand. Next year we will be having our halving again (every 4 years), so it means that the supply will dwindle into half, thus making it more scarce as ever.
997  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 17, 2023, 10:24:51 AM
Parang gusto lagi nasa media kahit wala namang kwenta sinasabi.

This happened 6 days ago and on two successive nights I dreamed that I was playing in a casino, I thought I'm spending too much time playing dice games at our fiesta, which usually starts at sunset and finishes before sunrise this is a record for me, it happens when I stopped playing because of the long hours.

I thought it was alarming but doing research online I found out that there's nothing to worry about it's just a relapse dream, it happens when you are trying to shut one habit in this case gambling too much.

How about you have you experienced dreaming that you are playing in a casino, is this alarming to you?

Resource :

Lol, that's the color game in our fiesta mate, hehehe. Yeah, I do spent a lot of times playing when we have that perya and then fiesta games, from bingo to color games to dice game, for sure we all know that it's fun to play with your friends around.

But I don't dream about it when I go home. Yeah, probably your wired to much on the game that's why you dream about it. But nothing is wrong with that, just maybe a reminder that you should have take it easy and slow mate.
