1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Checkcoin] Explore the world using Checkcoin [PR PHASE] on: January 05, 2015, 10:33:45 PM
mysterius and confused about this,..
please dev,..give us news or update
is this hard for you to login in btt,...2 minutes is enough for us

Sorry but you will have to wait probably until tuesday or wednesday for next update. Team is not working on sunday anyways.
You can keep on complaining but it doesn't help no one.

Enjoy your weekend.

haha,..i'm not complaining,please don't be sensitive
is this normal, the dev of the coin never appear for their comunity..
and never care about what happening at the market because of this....ckckckkck
i'm leader too in my company, and in my principle the comunications is most important than everything
And it must be done Balanced

On the other hand.... Marketing attracts speculators, and that is bad for long term health of a coin. Real technological progress lays a better foundation.

Personally, I would rather see updates less often here (every 2-4 weeks is enough)..there is information in other media, which I and others research, , and have less price volatility in between.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIA] ★ Viacoin ★ ~ the future of digital currency ~ ★ on: January 03, 2015, 09:01:08 PM
I know the Viacoin network will be bigger than it is now to a larger degree, so just to be clear I actually am quite happy with how smooth Viacoin's adoption is going- it's very healthy I believe.

I wonder though, at the moment I see all the perks of Viacoin's ClearingHouse against Counterparty- the blockchain bloat issue, large growing hash power for such a young project, and lack of unpredictability by it's rivals politics and network. I'm still a little surprised that companies didn't jump on board yet.

Sure, I understand it's not this against that and we're all tech enthusiasts, but I'm interested in why no-one ran to this opportunity yet- as I imagine I would if I were a fairly large game developer, or a growing marketplace.  Is it the politics, the sales.. What are the risks for them ATM?

we have a crypto depression in the moment. This accounts for the whole space. You will see much more adoption when the next buble cycle starts. Until then we will build this up and buy cheap via.

Agree... This is just the downside of the huge 2013 boom. There are a heck of a lot of coins out there (even forgetting about the obvious losers)
and most people need regular fiat money... so the selling will continue to outpace buying : prices will fall to wherever.

As to whether new entrants and commercial ventures should adopt VIA/XCH : the market cap is well down the pecking order, and only big is seen as viable in commerce. Growth will come eventually if there is good infrastructure/tech, plus incentive.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 31, 2014, 01:51:39 PM

I think that we need swap, stable wallet and change total supply to return btcmarket
I use vps for staking ecc and my wallet stop sync all weeks

That is why I suggested programming a snapshot of the blockchain into the new wallet.. Done that way, there is no need to sync for everybody.

The Lottoshares claim worked like a dream,  dead coins (sharecoin etc) being claimed with their private keys only.

yeah. im working on something like that. i will fix that issue soon. i have so many things that need to be coded right now just in general and i can only go so fast

I understand, thanks for the update.

Is there a recent copy of the Blockchain out there somewhere I could download to help get this wallet to sync up before anything changes?

I have a completly synced and new wallet (MAC) that I am testing. I will make a .zip file from the complete folder without the wallet.dat and upload today.
Once that is done, I will post the link here.

Michael

Thanks : that will be useful.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI (New Thread!) on: December 30, 2014, 10:25:27 AM

Dormant like an alien seed. Can be like that for years, and spring to life suddenly. It all depends on who picks it up.

There are actually a large number of holders, who also hold many other cryptocurrencies. The potential community for Animecoin is similar to the whole crypto community. Generally, the BTCTalk threads are not indicative : they mostly contain negativistic posts from easily disappointed holders.

I am happy to hold Anime (among many others), until /if it revives virally. That usually happens where a large stake is sold cheaply, and picked up by a strong player. Many Cryptocommunity members have a similar attitude.

The chances of this coin reviving are low, sorry to break the news to you. I, much like you would love this coin to suddenly jump to life, but unfortunately this is unlikely. It seems that hardly anyone else is interested in this coin. The anime community is small in and of itself, that combined with alt cryptocurrencies is even smaller so its no wonder the community is so small. I believe this coin does have a bright future, but that future is far from today.

For now, we can either wait, or work. It seems like most would rather wait, which is understandable. As it stands now, I think that there just isn't enough interest in this coin for any significant progress to be made.

You are saying much the same, then. There will be a revival, but some time in the future.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 29, 2014, 10:15:04 AM
we were originally planning to do the coin swap to the new coin and sell the rest of the premine (coins that werent converted) and use that money to peg ecc to a usd amount. but it seems the community would rather have me repair the try to do a coin swap / fundraising based on the feedback from the posts above

I don't understand this community...Griffith is offering us a solution on a golden plate and still there are individuals that rather stick to the old, broken blockchain.

The only way to break with the past is through the development of a new coin. As stated in one of my previous posts, it took me one day to download the blockchain, and had to restart several times... Not all new users are crypto geeks... We need a wallet that can be used by anyone, even my grandmother has to be able to use it...

I really hope we can set up a poll, so the community can make the right decision...

Regards

Goldmaxx

Starting a new blockchain is ok. : I was only suggesting an eloquent method for programming the coin swap into the new wallet, because there will be a lot of users who cannot sync, and the swap could cause a great deal of bad feeling unless it is easily and automatically available (the time window can be limited, but any length at all, say 6 months to be fair).

I don't know what the Lottoshares code looked like, but the way it worked was very clever. Anyway, I guess it might not be understandable in a short time frame.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 28, 2014, 10:58:10 AM
What is the intended method for claiming new coins : import old private key into new wallet ?

No, that won't work as we plan to create a whole new blockchain.
There needs to be done a swap. Old coins for new ones. We can do that on the exchange or via our website trustedcryptos.com. We are in the planning stages, thats why we want to know what you all think about it.

In this stage we can also discuss the specs of the new ECC (or whatever name we want it to have). We haven't talked with the exchanges yet, because we think that we first need to talk this over with all of us.

Lottoshares used an import of private key for several different coins, claiming LTS on that separate blockchain. It worked well (the coin is defunct now for other reasons)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=694341.0    A snapshot of blockchains (including coins unable to sync) was taken at a certain date, and the balances of coin were set into the new blockchain.

If it could be programmed this way might it not save a lot of trouble ?

Many holders are unable to sync wallets.

Bittrex -

BTC Vol 0.00059894 BTC ain't good the only good thing is that the price is stable it hasnt drop, we need to advertise Super so people get to know it!

Low volume is good right now. There is very little on either bid or offer...Blocks out the speculators , gets some work done on infrastructure.

1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 27, 2014, 11:12:44 AM
there is absolutely too much ECC,
it need to be clear the starting price for the new coin
if not else more than the 0,01 sat right now

Reducing supply will not boost price. This mistake has been made by many coins.

3.1.1.0

I have had 13 fragments constantly since September, and have received about 100 stakes since then.

Interesting. And your locking and encryption settings (not your pass phrase), if you don't mind sharing?

PM'ed you.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 24, 2014, 01:35:09 PM

I don't see that at all. Supercoin works fast simply because transactions are not becoming cluttered . My Supercoin wallet never needs consolidation, because the blocks do not ever seem to split : why is that ??

Very important discussion : please can we get some other views.

Hi Majormax,

are you looking at inputs in send coins? If you do not see that button you will have to turn it on from the display tab in preferences. That is where you will see how fragmented your inputs become through staking.

Wishing you the best of Seasons' Greetings from the land down-under.

Yes. My inputs are not becoming fragmented at all. They never have.

Compliments of the Season !

May I ask what wallet version you are using?

alright guys.[shameless self promotion time] so if you decided to check out my code development schedule page ( www.trustedcryptos.com/Griffith.html ) or followed my personal twitter ( https://twitter.com/TC_Griffith ) you would know that today i was working on the multipool everyone had voted for. the code itself is done except for 1 or 2 minor things and i just need to test the payout in X coin processor which i will test with LTC to super conversion later today once i finish that.

what i need from you guys is what coins do you want the pool to mine?
Requirements: they have to be actively PoW
: should be traded on either bittrex or swisscex (this is more of a preference thing)
: can be sha-256, scrypt, or x11

so let me know guys and i will load up those wallets onto the mining server. if i get a good amount of responses then this pool should be up and running for christmas (although i wont be here that day for obvious reasons so this time line probably should be delayed a day / adjusted)

ECC, HBN, CAPS

re Consolidation..

EDIT: we dont believe that MWC does this either. however we will be implementing a fix for this in the future. i can probably code one up really quick by editing the way the stake is confirmed and generated... shouldnt take too long. but thank you for the feature request. it will get added soon

I would add a note of caution on this. The Supercoin wallet is running and staking well, and this may be the sort of 'fix' that causes unwanted problems. .. It is just that I am not aware of any other coins which have this running successfully.

I realise that you may know much more about this, and have good examples of implementation. Which coins are using this atm ?
Agreed!  Haste makes waste!   Let stay focused on getting the price up first!  Investors will come as Supercoin increases in value.  Trusted Crypto group has an excellent plan to implement inwallet exchange trading , multicoinwallet features to the Supercoin wallet as an optional wallet, & to add code that will make Supercoin even more anonymous than it is as the present time.

Gentle folk, I proposed the consolidation routine's inclusion simply to protect one of Supercoin's key attributes.

SuperCoin is fast, that is one of its major attractions but it will slow appreciably if transactions become huge simply because wallet stakers fail to manually consolidate amounts in their wallets. The need is because each amount that stakes is split to two halves, so after just 8 complete staking cycles you end up with 256 amounts from each one you started with. Eventually the block chain will be cluttered with a huge number of inputs for tiny transactions.

Consolidation is neither trivial nor whimsical.

TrustedCryptos website is an excellent idea.

I just draw the webmasters attention to a spelling error on the home page..

Using Client v2.1 but keep getting stuck on synching.

Any plans for a bootstrap of the (now large) blockchain ? This would also encourage new users.

im working on a blockchain fix, the idea is essentially that at any given time block X, you would only need the blocks X-100,000 through X in order to sync and wouldnt actually need to download the whole block chain. im not 100% sure if this will work. we are also looking at new ways to download the blockchain faster.

OK, thanks.
