みんなさんこんにちは!

There's something missing here: a list of dreams, goals and objectives for the Animecoin Community. I think it is very important that we have our list of goals, in order to not only organise things and give directions to our efforts, but especially to gather plenty of 力, enough to make our 夢 come true Wink
So, these are the Dreams, Goals and Objectives of the Animecoin Community: (friends, I'll put here my ideas, and I am hoping to receive yours also. Please contribute)

  • Animecoin Android Wallet App - It will be a very important tool to spread Animecoin everywhere. There's already a bounty offered by our community for our first approved Android Wallet App;
  • Animecoin Promotional Video - We do need (not only one, but several) an Animation Video, for obvious reasons Wink;
  • Animecoin Stealth mode transactions - Anonymous transactions is a basic necessary feature. Privacy is a human necessity, and a serious failure of the cryptocurrencies nowadays is being completelly transparent, allowing anyone tho know anything about anyone else's financial and transaction habits. It's not like that with fiat money, for example, because if someone gives someone else a ¥1,000 bill that is an anonymous transaction per se, why should it be different with Animecoin? (BTW, here is a nice video on the subject https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYD17h6hlCs );
  • A vast market for Animecoin - A currency's main objective is to serve as a means of payment for goods and services. If there are no merchants accepting a currency, then it has no value as money. We need to conquer market for Animecoin. I am sure that it will be easy after reaching the goals above (Android Wallet, Promotional Video, Stealth Mode). This includes, of course, more exchanges! As someone said earlier, I also want to pay for my sushis with ANIs;

Well, that's about what I can come to remember as goals by now. I'll be complementing this post. Please, friends, contribute with your ideas. Let's make things work!

Good goals. Anon transactions is a minefield atm.. I am watching many of the competing systems, with their drawbacks and benefits, and waiting to see which ones have the edge.

Is there a (client side java) paperwallet generator especially for Animecoin ?
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CASH] Crypto CASH | Proof of Stake & COIN CONTROL | On Cryptsy | 0 PREMINE on: August 20, 2014, 11:17:35 PM
Vlad2Vlad as suggested that the max coin supply be reduced to 21m , what are the thought s of the rest for the community !

And glavos has done a great job with the new coin logo designs , we need to make up are minds which logo we are going with, please vote for your favourite design or suggest any changes you might like to see.

Thanks

I strongly disagree, and have stated my argument many times, but I don't think my points are acknowledged.

Any coin which reduces its supply before it has critical mass of adoption is consigning itself to a steady decline (freeze to death). The small community holds all its own supply, and fresh blood (buyers) are not interested (because they see no gain).

That critical mass is 100s of times where Cash currently stands. The best way to widen adoption is to spread coins around at a low price.

1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: August 20, 2014, 11:08:58 PM
If the majority of work is controlled by honest nodes then the chain is safe. Not done by honest nodes, controlled by honest nodes.
With PoW an attacker might produce new miners and gain control of the network.
With PoS unless enough people sell to him their money, a "new" attacker just can't do anything.

(not implying there might not be other attack vectors)

Yes.... Also, other attack vectors and unexpected vulnerabilities are constantly turning up as algorithms and systems evolve. That is one reason for the 'newer' coins being more in demand (in general), because there is a constant search for 'fixes'.
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN]First P2p Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Wallet New Thread on: August 20, 2014, 11:04:54 PM
Love the staking in the Super Wallet but never really run the #'s before.

Wallet been open about 5 hours today and staked over 96 Super....thats .002BTC! at these hilariously low prices.

That equals ~65gh/s sha256 miner running 24/7

 Shocked Grin Cool

my wallet stake but for the past 3 days "generated but not accepted" Sad

Might just be insufficient 'weight' in your blocks, or connection to the network...It will catch up: you have not 'lost' the stake, because your coin age is preserved until stake is accepted.

1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN]First P2p Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Wallet New Thread on: August 20, 2014, 07:52:22 PM
So how is everybody?

Thanks for asking, feeling good about Super. Kudos to devs for making the impossible a reality.

Buying Super below 3k while I can. I challenge everyone to be picking up at least .01 btc worth of Super a day. You want to moon? You have to prime the engine with volume.

And thanks to whomever sold me all the Super below 2k this morning on MP

Also, a tweet a day helps keep the fud away and raises awareness. If you are not following @coinsuper (keep in mind i still have @TheSuperCoin avail to team) then shame on you. Retweet everything the super team sends out and dont be afraid to be a bit creative. note: Nomad, tweeting soft porn is not what im talking about here Smiley

Multipool operator needs to be buying on days like today and up the payout schedule. There are too many distractions for miners to wait 4 days in between payouts. As a miner I can tell you I like to see results every 24hrs or it feels like im just wasting my time. I get the logistics ect blah blah blah, just advising u of the psychology involved. Of course no disrespect intended as we all appreciate your efforts, just a heads up.

Good advice generally. The best improvements are slow burn, and not flash in the pan all ammo shot at once.
1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | cPoW | PC mining | Stability | Hashcows - QRK Payouts on: August 20, 2014, 12:48:10 PM

... bashing other coins "thinking" it's positive for quark, core members strategy was/is working on infrastructure with focus on projects. Also i would have rather monopoly instead....

In fact, I have seen the beginning of a new movement for collaboration between different coins: I can also envisage that being the way currencies survive and move forward.

Joining communities and strengthening resources & 'brand', mark the next steps forward, because it is the solution to the increasing, and potentially infinite, competition which has been diluting price and communities.. The coins that don't want to do that will mostly fade away.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: August 20, 2014, 10:20:21 AM
We can add all the links on the new animecoin homepage: www.animecoin.co.uk . So that people can find them all. You could also try speaking with an admin and see if they can hand the post over to you, but I would be surprised if they had the rights to do something along those lines. Also Qex.la is down (What they were attacked! I wonder if the dev is still maintaining it, because there were problems posted by users about transactions that just weren't getting solved).

Sure, it would be very nice if we could have these links at the home page. Now, regarding the problem with this thread's op, the idea I had is (if the community agrees to create a new thread) to create a BTCtalk profile to be the Adm for the new thread. This way, the person responsible for the thread will use that account. Now we must check if this isn't against the forum rules.

I am sorry to hear about Qex.la. That's very worrysome of small exchanges: this risk of them failing and we loosing our money. I avoid keeping any money very long in exchanges, that's why I never do day/swing trading.

Good idea, new admin for the thread...Forum rules : why would that be a problem ?  A new profile can start a tread very soon after registration.

Self-moderation would be desirable in the thread.

What coin do you guys plan to merge mine Quark with?  When do you think that will be implemented?

I think it's a great idea to boost the user base, but most of all, the level of security.

Cheers!

Few coins use the QRK hash. Animecoin is one that does, and it is being revived : it's strong identity enabled it to survive the last 8 months.

can you link me MajorMax ?

Ok everybody. Still caring about Thorcoin?

Shall we continue where we left? Smiley

New wallet coming soon Wink

Yes, somebody is watching.

Before Thor can go anywhere, PoS min coin age needs to be reduced drastically (suggest to 1 day), and % could use a big increase.

Those elements will at least give it a chance to come back to life.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHARE]ShareCoin - Pure POS - The only coin backed up by a real bussiness on: August 19, 2014, 10:12:58 AM
Shocked

I lost qora, sharecoin and (indirect) Gameleaguecoin ( Cry Lips sealed) on sharexcoin.

Edit:
How can i claim lotto/sharecoin? sharecoin is dead and wallet can´t sync ( step 1 +2 here: http://forum.lottoshares.org/topic/12/how-to-claim-your-lts)

You can just export your private key from Sharecoin (not synched) wallet, and import to LTS
1353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Why Digital Industry is causing everyone to leave Quark. on: August 19, 2014, 09:34:30 AM

What happened ?

I didn't read the blue text .

Sounds bad.

Hahahaa.  Oh shit, digital, that had me rolling.

You're not making any new friends here that's for sure.  lol.

Cheers!

I know, isn't he so funny ?  Cheesy

Either way, for those who find offensive his attitude towards core supporters, we can use a nice little link which we can click and make a user go unnoticed and mind his own business: go under his username and click Ignore. Problem solved. Guess that the 2 former groups of core Quark supporters didn't had this option ? or they did ? maybe they only needed a pretext for leaving ? OKay.

Now, not only is there a way to 'ignore' posters, there is also a way to post invisible text (for some posters like DGI,it seems).

Maybe we could experiment with different text colours, and see which posters are excluded from reading. Grin
1354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: August 19, 2014, 09:25:23 AM

That's exactly why an 80% drop now for LTC means a lot more than a 70% drop in BTC back in 2012. In 2012 when activity picked up again, it was almost entirely going back to BTC. Any increase in activity now won't be going back to LTC. There is simply no reason for that to happen. There are many more and better alternatives to LTC now.

OK, I see your point. I agree there are better alternatives, but I still feel like LTC has at least one more giant pump before (if) it dies a long slow death. There is just so much money invested in scrypt asics, and most of them haven't seen the light of day, that I think it will have another boom cycle (and an accompanying boom in the number of tx/day). But who knows...

Would those script ASICS be specific to LTC ?  .. or would LTC possibly become the 'byproduct' of a merge mine for a better alternative coin (thus depressing its price further).
1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHARE]ShareCoin - Pure POS - The only coin backed up by a real bussiness on: August 19, 2014, 09:19:37 AM

If you are part of the original Sharecoin distribution list you can get at least 7080 LTS for free. Thanks to Lottoshare dev for making this possible.

7080LTS? For all the other coins you get 80 LTS. I thinks it s a mistake, isn´t it?

No, it is true. 7080 coins, 80 vest immediately, 7000 by 1000 blocks over several months.

The reason is because the Share scam was one of the drivers for the creation of LTS distribution method (to salvage something for Sharecoin victims)

A lot of the victims had no coins left because they left them on the scam exchange, and the distribution method bypasses history after launch of Share, using only the initial addresses as reference.

You can ignore this guy, hes slandering in other threads too. See IXCoin thread. Devcoin is also a good example.
Tens of thousands lines of text with 1-2% meaning.
Also others are asked not to quote him in their replies.

Can you clarify which poster specifically ? (because Thule and Digitalindustry have a varied history)
1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN]First P2p Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Wallet New Thread on: August 18, 2014, 10:37:11 AM

Someone from the Pandacoin (PND) community came across a test landing page of the upcoming new website for Pandacoin (PND)'s August 30th major development update to the coin. The dev team had been silent on plans for 2 months and had been hyping up for a release date on August 30th with the marketing slogan of "Rethinking cryptocurrency - cryptocurrency for the masses". 10 new developments had been revealed from the screenshot.

Leaked screenshot reveals -
World's first cryptocurrency designed and packaged specifically for the masses in order to reach mainstream adoption.
World's first altcoin to receive standalone iOS fully functioning wallet.
World's first core wallet designed to simulate an internet banking banking user interface.

Sources -

Original leaked source found - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.msg8380883#msg8380883
PND Dev team did not deny the leaks with an official statement - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.msg8397546#msg8397546

Some useful ideas for Supercoin dev. : I suggest the ideas will be more effective because they are fresh (unused), so we are not playing catch-up. The devs who can use new ideas most quickly have an advantage over other coins.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Community Has Takeover! [New Dev] on: August 17, 2014, 11:43:14 PM
The hardfork for wallet version 1.8 for EasyClearCoin [ECCoin] will be live as soon as we finish compiling it (doing it now).

The code as been edited to address the following things as i had stated before:
- block chain speed issues (block times are being taken from 45 seconds to 30 seconds.)
- staking issues (it will no longer be 42 days to 84 days. it will be 8 hours to 7 days)
- inflation rate issues (flat inflation rate matching the average economy inflation rate of the last 20 years, aka 2.5% with decay)

The official meaning for EC in the ECCoin name is Easy and Clear. the Coins now official name is EasyClearCoin.

which means yes, i am currently working on a clear send protocol (its not done yet) that will be out in the next major update of 1.9. (maybe a week or two, depending on how much time i have) this protocol for sending will work to do the opposite of what cloak coin and dark coin tried to do. instead of anoning and hiding the transactions of coins sent across the block chain, this coin will work to make the chain more transparent and easier to follow so that it is easier to track coins rather than make it harder. i believe that having this in a coin will make it easier to be accepted by the current standing governments and such because it is easy to address their biggest excuse for not allowing bitcoin [money laundering]. i will provide a more detailed description of the protocl and how it works when it is more towards completion.

Please can you clarify the changes to PoS % in the new wallet. Do you think it is wise to change any % at this stage (min/max times I understand) ?

In my opinion Griffith is totaly right changing the PoS %. What we are trying to do is getting ECC back on the right track and let the price of ECC go up again instead of going down.

By changing the PoS % we will have less coins coming into the system. A high PoS % is nothing more than inflation. So with 25% PoS the value of our coin will only go down quicker. In the current situation, now that ECC has less attention and less supporters, we need to protect the investment of those supporters and in the same time create a base so that we can start rebuilding and develop the coin.

My belief is that is flawed reasoning. Reducing the PoS % will not improve prospects. A substantial increase to 150% has a chance of drawing new investors. Without them, there is no future. The supply of a coin matters far less than demand.

A scarce coin can just as easily be a dead coin. Demand is the key variable.

I thought you had something worth following until I read this comment. Don't understand, why so uncivil ??

It taints your point of view.

Typical ivory tower complex - when clever people know they're clever and know what they're saying is (mostly) factual they tend to present it from the top of their ivory tower. Often they forget that there are other clever people also sitting in ivory towers, and all they do is shout loudly over each other;) That having been said, if you can wade past the douchebag behaviour there are many things I can't fault OP on or outrightly disprove.

Edit: except for his date format. We use year/month/day (South Africa), and Americans use month/day/year, so to see it day/month/year is extremely confusing for me.

True. Best to look at content objectively rather than style, then.

I believe only Americans use that (strangely illogical, for the digital age) format.

Boolberry has the same mail host, but the rest doesn't match up.

zoho is the only (major) provider that still has multiple free email accounts on a private domain.

So that's why it's used by at least 1 of those 7 other coins I mentioned, right?

Go play in the traffic, moron.
