says nxt is disabled when i tried to withdraw. Withdrawals are disable atm, according to there twitter "The trading will be enabled soon." Withdrawals will be enabled eventually I would think. : But why not leave your coins on the exchange. Many people will.

I saw Dash and though that sounds crap. Then I read short for Digital Cash and liked it a little more, always mention the digital cash part. or. Just call it Digital Cash. ty.
Makes sense , as much as my suggestion of Dart . The community could have been consulted more : not for politeness and procedure, but simply to harness the sheer power and information available in the decentralised model. Evan (or a few people) may be brilliant developers, but the naming requires wider skills.

Naming :
Respectfully suggest there could have been a little more thought. eg
How about DartCash (or DartCoin )
1. It retains first 3 letters of Dark
2. 2 syllables easily memorable.
3. Avoids any copyright/confusion issues.
4. Suggests speed and precision.
Consulting the Community would use a powerful resource : (no need to be afraid of trolls etc)

i really hate the slogan 'the future of digital currency.' it sounds pompous. even worse the future is 'always coming' sort of like the progress in this project so far.
So write a better one, and let community vote on it. A few suggestions : Money and more. Viable payments..Clear books A faster better alternative

Patience is a virtue. I would prefer seeing drak online, instead investing in projects with fancy promises and newbie developers who will be most likely gone weeks after they launch. It is the people who are giving value to the coins. Maybe if some of you are large VIA holders you can think about doing something instead whining about the price. I believe that VIA will be back on track... at least it deserves more than some beans, paycoins or blackdarkbit bs...
Agree.. Just contact and attention is most important. There is nothing more required than adoption. That only comes from publicity (once technicals are sound, and someone is there to attend coding when needed)

With this amount of thread sliding and vested interest trolling, it has to be good time to buy more Darkcoin. Buy the dips on the way up, guys Lots of bumping, helping to extend the lead of the record longest ANN thread on Bitcointalk. I am not really that interested in DRK, but am entertained by the poor quality of the trolling here !

So what we have here is an instamined and centralized coin. LOL. You people will cheerlead just about anything BTW just to clarify was this shitcoin instamined with criminal intent, or was it just developer incompetence?? It has wide support, and that is all that counts. I hope the devs make a huge amount from the instamine, and have bought some more this week to add to the kitty.

Huge respect to crowning and snogcel for their latest git pull request... I think they must have borrowed Thor's hammer to beat that one into the QT client. It's absolutely beautiful! Great work crowning & snogcel. For anyone wondering what we're talking about: https://github.com/darkcoin/darkcoin/pull/234Thanks!!! Glad to hear you guys like it :-) Excellent !

If Steve Jobs himself was dumping Apple stocks on the market, would that give shareholders confidence in holding their Apple shares?
He did, and it didn't. Oh yeah... He did when he left Apple. Then look what happened, the stock went down. In VIA 's case, price is falling regardless of who is dumping. I really hope this project turns around though. When threads turn into price discussions, it is usually the death of a coin. Price of VIA will fall until a big promoter picks it up for peanuts. I would buy more, but only at around 1/10 of todays price. At 500sat a big quantity would be a good punt. +1 better sell now before you sell at 1000 satoshi. it's all about cutting losses. 50% loss is better then 90% loss ... I am not a seller. I will hold either for success or 0. I just would be prepared to buy and risk a little more at a lower level. Either VIA will be widely adopted as an alternative blockchain, or it will slowly fade. As long as the devs are working to improve the technicals, lower prices are irrelevant. Fact : There will be owners for every single unit of VIA when it becomes either more valuable than BTC, or becomes 1sat. I want to be one of those people, either way.

Strawman arguments again. It's time to stop repeating yourself over and over. You've made your points. I think we all understand it clearly.
Retaining the right to self moderation is essential IMO. Using it sparingly is vital.

In any case, I'm not sure how effective a long BCT thread is anyway as a communication tool, especially with trolls who don't wish to respect the forum rules. Certainly from my side, I have no purpose except to update the resources links in the OP. The main communication portal as far as I am concerned for new version releases is the blog and twitter, and there is r/viacoin for news repostsand discussions. Anything else just get buried here. Bitcointalk? Nobody goes there anymore; it's too crowded. Just kidding. Nothing gets "buried" here from those of us who know how to dig. Bitcoin (and Monero, etc) do just fine in this rowdy atmosphere. Is VIA not also antifragile? Vanishingly few will follow VIA to boring deserted places like blog/twit/reddit. Don't retreat. Letting "trolls" run you off looks terrible and doesn't help your coin. Embrace the trial by fire and learn to use the energy here for VIA's advantage. Energy : The last 48 hours are a good example of the latent interest here. Critical discussion is a good start, whatever it is called. Like many Cryptos which are technically good or innovative, VIA is in need firstly of wider adoption (the big issue always). A bigger dev team is also essential if there is to be real growth. IMO that is a very big ask, and awareness of the key advantages of VIA/XCH can really only be spread properly by intelligent marketing. There are substantial financial institutions out there right now making their first real investigations of the feasibility of Blockchain Transactions/Registers, and VIA is not going to appear on their radar without a huge increase in visibility.

Agree... Also, a good active moderation policy on this thread !

Obviously they are just buying time! Sad!
it I think they will pay out what they can. Just be patient.

I still can't withdraw my NXT, what the hell? They are kidding us.
The internet is slow at the Bahamas This is not funny, maybe I've lost a few coins and I can't withdraw them. Is this funny? Lighten up. BTER look fair on the face of it.

griffith is our man.... end of story...
i try. im currently fixing the problem with the incredibly long wallet load times. i am updating the code base for the whole coin. wont be a mandatory upgrade or anything (i dont think). but it will be 2.4 after that i am going to look at what the new 0.10.0 bitcoin-core source did with syncing the chains using header-first sync. to see if i could possibly utilize that developement. Great stuff ! The splash screen on loadup is one of the longest of any coin I own, but I understand it has not been an essential upgrade.

Lol you guys crack me up, you've been threatening to quit/leave/sell for the past 4 months and yet you're all still here I don't know how you're not able to see the funny parallel with the people you're accusing. If Bitsend are scammers then you are too, you've been promising to leave for so long but it still hasn't happened same as with Bitsend and the software If neither you nor Bitsend can keep your word, then there really isn't much difference between you guys which means when you accuse them it's a little like accusing yourself +1 This thread is better supported by the naysayers than by the devs. At least its getting some attention.

VIA is one of the most Viable alternative blockchains to BTC... and its Valuation is next to nothing. If it gets any new impetus, or gets noticed by Big Finance looking for blockchain 2.0 tech, then the sky is the limit in the future. For investors its another very low cost option on Alt Coin tech.

This is one of the least constructive cointhreads of the year. All the complaining and fingerpointing to Bitsend just makes things worse.
One or two negative posters fill the blank space. Bitsend are probably hidinng, not knowing what to say atm. Seen it many times before : doesn't necessarily mean the project is kaput though.
