OK. I'm starting to work on that.
Who has the access to this domain? Is that person willing to give the access?

I think it is krecu. Not responding to anything, basically disappeared (in Ukraine, apparently)

I have offered help few times but nothing happened. Everything ends up on words, nothing gets done although there is a possibility. To many philosophers...   Undecided
Now I ask again, what is necessary and what needs to be done?
We could restart a web site. Lets start on that. What should that web site contain? It doesn't have to be complicated, just some basic information and links for start.

1303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN]First P2p Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Wallet DOWNLOAD NOW on: August 31, 2014, 08:24:30 AM
I have tried everything I can possibly think of to get my wallet to sync correctly.  It now seems sync'd with the block explorer but this transaction still has not shown up at my wallet at the MintPal exchange:

20361f32901d544e2a008d053403fcbbde2393127bfc9c0fa3640614ac82e1b4

I had also tried sending 1 supercoin while on another fork to the same address and that coin never made it to the exchange either.

So after 3 days and re-downloading the block chain 3 times I give up.  All of these problems happened shortly after my client handled a anon transaction.  MintPal must be on a seperate fork also.  I am just going to shut my client off until this matter is resolved.  No point in wasting any more time on it.

I have also shut mine down. The issue is in the wallet software..There will be a new wallet release which is intended to fix the problem.
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Community Has Takeover! [New Dev] on: August 31, 2014, 12:04:06 AM
ECC will have a chance of survival if the current developers join the Supernetwork, or at least think about the concept. It is worth investigation, because I believe the future for alts is in collaboration.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762346.0

Most struggling coins will probably reject this idea, and try to make it alone.

1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN]First P2p Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Wallet DOWNLOAD NOW on: August 30, 2014, 11:26:17 PM
I must have been on the wrong fork for quite a while.

I sent some coins as a test from Bittrex to my wallet and it never arrived yesterday.
So I just resynced from scratch using nodes on the OP. Now I can see those coins.

Sometime it's happened, I also face same problem but it's not big.
I also sync the wallet from scratch after deleting all files except wallet.dat,
It's take time to sync but after syncing it's work perfectly fine.

Still have the wrong fork after 2 tries...I will have a 3rd try at resync.
1306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: August 30, 2014, 09:08:57 PM
Must... control... self... Must... not... go... on... off... topic... rant...

So how about monero lately. Glad to see the price starting to rise. Still so much more to go Grin

100$ with 6 months. Against that time BTC will be 1500/2000$

We need to have a 100 dollar party if that happens. Like the bitcoin 1000 dollar party.

Not recommended... We planned a Bitcoin $100 party too, but by the time it was arranged, it was a $200 party. These things are always a jinx (ring a bell at the top)

...Noone wanted to do it all over again later in the year, so it became $1000 party and look what happened.

Those who use still early version Supercoin wallets please make sure you upgraded trustless wallet.

@majormax i checked early this morning everything seemed fine with my nodes. all was on same block number. But again if any problem we follow and can release a fix.

we actually set up dns seeds this time. So we are better in control. All people need to make sure they use latest trustless wallet.
Every one make sure you upgraded latest version of Supercoin.

Trustless wallet is the one where Supersend icon turns green right? (v 3.0.0.0)?
yes it is "v3.0.0.0 (Trustless with Multisig)"

I used this version, and there is still a problem ... It would be best for you to check links, repost a link to the correct download, as well as the .conf information IN THE THREAD. I guess a few people will be confused.

Just recap PLEASE NOTE:

I am using v3.0.0, and I have copied the nodes and text from the OP into the .conf.

I have installed a new version and synched the blockchain from the beginning. The sync seems OK, but when I insert my existing .dat, the balances are wrong AND the block count is wrong. When I use an old backup .dat, it shows a nil balance.
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN]First P2p Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Wallet DOWNLOAD NOW on: August 30, 2014, 01:23:05 PM
Now since it's synced properly all staked coins are generated but not accepted.

I have the same problem. Tried resyncing a few times already, always end up with a bunch of unconfirmed staked coins. Basically anything after 27/8 is unconfirmed Undecided

Yes anything after 27/08 unconfirmed aswell

There is obviously a problem at 27 August. It has all the appearances of a fork, which a lot of users are on (both sides)

I have used the .conf information from the OP twice, so I would suggest there is something wrong in that.

I suggest that the developer immediately check the nodes and .conf information, as well as all the wallet download locations, before too many users wind up on the wrong fork.
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN]First P2p Decentralized Trustless Anonymous Wallet DOWNLOAD NOW on: August 30, 2014, 01:07:56 PM
Anyone having an issue? Because i dont see a problem.
Node list in OP updated.

Hi I transfered a few 1000's coins to wallet they arrived but even after 100 confirms it says in teh transaction log "Conflict" and i have an exclamation mark in front of it

Coin can not be used. Tried several things now with no luck
Dev please help our friend here Smiley Cool

I deleted all again and trying to sync and see if it fixes it. I hope it does...

Good luck tell us if any problem left.

Yes, Problem with wallet, still. I sent 3 transactions which did not turn up: the transactions don't show on the blockchain explorer, but they are shown as having left my wallet. I resynched from the beginning (complete new install, inserted the .dat afterwards), using the .conf in the OP. Then I used repairwallet command. Still no change.

The block count in my wallet is incorrect, and the balance showing for the wallet address according to the block explorer disagrees with the wallet. So I guess the wallet is still wrong.

Any suggestions ??

I purchased sharecoin early on and was not on the original distribution list. I've followed the instructions to receive my LTS coins and nothing is showing up  Embarrassed

Am I not qualified to get LTS?

These are my 2 wallet addresses for LTS. The second address was clearly generated from my sharecoin private key...please help...thanks

There were many buyers of Sharecoin. I myself bought a large amount, some of which I lost on the exchange, and some remained in the wallet.

How can anyone disprove they were on the original distribution ? Some people even managed multiple distributions without detection.
1312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: August 29, 2014, 11:17:52 PM
I market bought 2100 XMR for a client. I don't by any way mean it's much, but seriously I can only make one phone call per day, to one of my best investor friends, to avoid the price rising too quickly.

The total wealth reachable by my mailing list is 100s of millions. Last time I bothered them was when I told that "Bitcoin is something that you should buy now, even without research, even with small money, as long as it is now". 2013-2-6.

Looks convincing. How low do you think we'll go? How much do you think I should deposit to Mt.Gox to profit the most?

I have been waiting for so long to finally buy my first coins, and it is not only me - there are dozens in the same situation that I know, thousands in the city, and millions in the world. We want correction, and we want it now.

Well spotted...can prove anything with an appropriate quote !  Do you think it there's a chance it could have been sarcasm ?
1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: August 29, 2014, 11:08:57 PM

The risk of not holding monero is infinitely bigger than that of holding it.

With not holding, you can lose a sum equal to 1000x your net worth.

With holding, you can maximum lose the amount invested.

Sounds like Pascal's wager. That can never be the reason to do it.

I may be strange in that it seems perfectly valid to me. I pay taxes, because by paying, I lose only the sum invested, but by not paying, I risk unforeseen consequences. With Monero there is at least some upside, unlike in paying taxes which is a genuine lose-lose...

The same is true of many alternative cryptocurrencies. Whilst there are a lot of hopeless ones, you can never tell what circumstances will lead to a winner. Some great ideas just fail for reasons beyond their control, or from competition and changing conditions. Naturally everyone thinks theirs is the best, and very few people have done proper investigation of all coins.

So therefore, I believe , to truly mitigate that risk, you need to hold 50+ different altcoins, carefully researched and selected. That dilutes the ROI a bit.

These threads have helped regain a little confidence after getting painfully burned in sharex

Currently trusting in XMR and the guys, including RP

Sharex, and Sharecoin ?  You can get some back with your free distribution of 7080 Lottoshares.
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: August 29, 2014, 03:42:26 PM
I must say that I am impressed with the dev team.  Obviously more money pouring in would help things roll out faster but finding open palms is somewhat hard with all the scams brought onto the forums.

I remember the BTC infancy days and all the problems.  Monero seems to be BTC2.0 but in a hyperaccelerated state.

+1

The fog of scams and pump/dump schemes has made it harder to indentify real utility. Some currencies have real advances and will succeed, but some also will not survive, even if they are better.

The correct sort of development with promotion and funding will make the difference.

No offense - but why would you be pumping the coin like this?  You are creating wealth for random dudes on forums if you plan on "eventually calling in the 100s of millions of dollars of big guns" instead of creating wealth for your investment network.  Your speech and actions tell different stories.

As somebody pretty sold on Monero I just got a lot more concerned ...

rpietila reply above makes sense. I understand that there is a lot of mistrust of motives in CryptoSpace. That is mainly down to the vast majority of coins being pump&dump schemes. I found it interesting to note how the new coins/schemes proliferated only after April 2013, and again after Nov (such a big expansion).

I have spent many years of my career with intrigue in financial markets, and my own philosophy (now) is to take most sensible comment at face value, then wait for contrary evidence to emerge. Given time you will either see confirmation or contradiction. Taper/step into investment positions accordingly. I know I have created a lot of wealth for 'random dudes', but it is immaterial to my own wealth or satisfaction.

Most people in my experience are actually well-meaning.

Silly question but how does one re-sync from scratch?? I tried to reinstall wallet to fix my sync, but now it wont connect to any nodes or sync, it just opens instantly with 0.00 coins in it. I have multiple backups of my wallet.dat, but I can't seem to rescan them, wallet just opens normally with no connections.

I tried the -rescan command, but it didn't work?

Cheers
Re-syncing from scratch means delete everything except wallet.dat from supercoin folder from appdata >> start the wallet client >> close the client after some time >> create supercoin.conf on supercoin folder from appdata >> Start the client again & you're done.
Always take a backup of wallet.dat before doing anything.

My wallet stat:

Block chain

Current number of blocks   421745
Estimated total blocks       420685

I had similar. Staking is completely broken in that condition. Seems to have been a problem node ??

I am resynching from scratch, using the current .conf file from the OP.
Yeah but problem might be in a given node.
Actually it was working well until 26th but suddenly occured problem from 27th.So stakes after 27th can't be seen in explorer.

We need dev to confirm good nodes ,then. (and reset .conf info)

Which nodes did you use in the .conf ?
I used the ones from the opening post.

I am currently on a resync (just started), so I will see what happens. ..BTW, did you use a complete new installation ?

Use the .conf file info from the OP (copy it to a text file named supercoin.conf)

Remove the whole supercoin folder from 'roaming' (best keep a copy)

Resync using a new installation: insert the supercoin.conf to the newly created supercoin folder at the beginning, and it should sync OK.

edit ..Wait for Dev to confirm good nodes.
