So, XCN coin limit 100x higher than XMR, XMR price 60x bigger than XCN. I guess this shit qualifies as fully pumped. right ? From now on it's basically "buy it when you need it", it's uselles as a store of value...
Yea like any other alt is a store of value. It'll take a year just to get to the level of coins bc has. Get over the total coin count guys. Nobody bitches about all the pos coins coming out everyday that get 10 million mined in 3 days.

At 1 year out, current price values market cap at ~$8m. Not extreme for the concept. That means 80% of those coins have still to be mined/distributed in the next 12 months : the slower steady distribution is a positive. I am a buyer.

~$8m is not extreme for the concept at this moment. Imagine in a year, when btc marketcap could be  500 billion.

Yes, true, but 500BN is a bit of a stretch. My own guess is that BTC will be around 10bn in a year. The alternative concept coins will gain relatively to that ,and most of the clones, lacking sufficient support, will fade away. OCICBW

I think we have a bounty on a new logo, but if a really good designer / artist could step up to the plate and produce something asap, that would be great...the sooner the better....

I have more fun making memes with hot chicks anyway  Grin

The hot chick memes are good, keep them more tasteful and artistic if you can manage it (erotic but not too close to porn)

3d ..shadow ..

modif this one add some shadow
for base use some black and* S red ..metallic with blaze
and something unique..when you see coin you know his features..small satellites around S ..integrated in base like in stone ..supper sand..true anon..
try this if you understand me

Good ideas.

I would like to see those in a design.  ' True Anon '  and satellites, sized and positioned well so as not to detract from  the main symbolic 'S'

How to turn a nice idea into a pile of shit in 4 hours:

http://minichain.info/address/CNCzEBdvxzKSsGGdeqdGv17zuyWLeyAFvw

Disagree. I am fine with large early holders:   Only 3m coins have been mined, and another ~60m to mine in the next 12 months.

Just playing around...

Let's get a pro designer on the logo job so I can go back to making memes  Cheesy

These design also not bad, but we need more improve design,
let's other also make some and then we will vote for best design.

The basic design is a good clean innovation. Just needs a little polishing.

I have a 32 Bit wallet , which I cannot now access (on a 32 bit windows OS)

Will I need to instal 0.8.8  on a 64 bit OS, and import keys, or is there a way of running (or just backing up) the 32 bit walllet ?

I am unable to view my coins balance : is there a way of viewing coin balance/addresses using the key files from the old wallet (without running it) ?

This is our weekly update on the phase-2 development.

The coding is going on well, we are working on the multisig escrow part, it is the key part of the trustless system in our algorithm. So far so good, we are still targeting for the testing in about 2 weeks. As the time getting closer, we will ask for a few volunteers to help us testing. Depends on our initial testing, we may use directly the main network for a closed circle testing (meaning not a public testing). We will decide it after our initial testing inside the dev team. If you are interested in joining our testing, please PM supercointeam.

On the other hand, after the main implementation work done, I will publish a detail white paper on the algorithm. Depends on my availability, the whitepaper may be published in 2-3 weeks, maybe sooner if I have more time working on it. Stay tuned.

Excellent !
1409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: August 03, 2014, 08:47:55 AM

everybody know that is not true, you can see a transaction on the blockchain immediately, what takes time are confirmations, so latency is not a real problem. Its really just my opinion but I dont see viacoin taking off, neither ethereum, not while most people cant even fully grasp bitcoin...

Well, the transaction is just broadcast but not actually on the blockchain yet, right? Isn't that the whole issue? There are a whole other category of doublespend attacks possible with 0 conf transactions. Which is why almost every Bitcoin service I use has me waiting for one or two confirmations first. Which is horrible when you are waiting over an hour. Even the average time of 10-20 minutes for 1-2 confirmations is pretty long.

For some transactions like buying a coffee 0 confs are fine. But since most services deem 1 confirmation acceptable for almost all normal transactions(which I feel is the right balance between security and convenience) having that confirmation come in less than a range of seconds to an hour is far better imo.

24 seconds is quite fast. Not sure how that will work out. But at this point I think it's pretty clear that 1-2 minute confirmations are superior despite the hash that gets wasted on orphans. The point being that ease of use should be a priority over mining efficiency.
Agree .

Like many here , I have made many types of transactions in BTC and dozens of different altcoins on a daily basis, as well as mining,  for more than a year, and overall would say that 1-2 minutes is a good compromise.

WHAT A BULLSHIT.90% WERE ALREADY MINED IN THE FIRST MONTH

Thats not true actually it's 59%, you are spreading lies after lies. I already busted you on 3 lies with hard proof lol

I look in on this thread from time to time: its often the same old pointless argument about early distribution/mining etc..

That is ancient history, and does not affect today's situation. I guess it will carry on until there is something more concrete to report.

I bought all my QRK on exchanges, was never given any, never mined any: and many others did so as well. The whole stock of QRK was turned over in the exchanges during Nov 2013.

We will rock that boat i tell ya  Cool

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEWS AND UPDATES Smiley))))))))))))))))

THIS IS HIS PROFILE  Grin
come on bros lets pm him to audit us please everybody we can do it Smiley

Your activity is laudable...especially in view of Peter Todd's recent decision to join VIA maybe setting some kind of precedent.

However I would imagine the first thing Gavin Andreson would want to know is some detail of the method by which trust/trustless anon sending is accomplished.I am not so sure he believes it is important in any case.  He may be very familiar with the current cutting-edge on mixing/trusted nodes vs ring signatures, and will want to see if the Super phase 2 has any novel ideas.

That is where the (otherwise excellent) dev. may have communication issues. Persons like myself would be able to lay out a good presentation including the relevant points in a way which would not compromise information required to be secret, or incomplete. However I do not have information on those details.
1412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Anonymous Wallet Live & PoS Superblocks >>> MULTIPOOL ONLINE! on: August 02, 2014, 12:16:37 PM
Better not to raise expectations too high at this stage. Fortunately price is not jumping up quickly, and that will limit the fall when Phase 2 is unveiled (it is quite likely that price will fall, even if phase 2 is up to expectations, that is how markets work). If it all looks good then the time to buy is after a few days, when the dust settles.

I have client money to invest, and have always done best by waiting until after announcements, where the technology is good. Speculators buy in anticipation of a step forward, and when that is announced, they have only one thing to do, that is , sell.

Would someone be able to create a paperwallet address generator for LTS ?
1414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTS] LottoShares - Merge-Mine with CasinoCoin, Trade @Bter on: August 02, 2014, 11:24:07 AM
I cannot see a note of the coin supply cap. All 100m were distributed, but what are the limits to mined coins (if any) ?

What is your idea to make SuperCoin better lets share here.

Find a way to give more away to new holders.
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Anonymous Wallet Live & PoS Superblocks >>> MULTIPOOL ONLINE! on: August 02, 2014, 10:06:19 AM
The best way to make a coin dead is just hold and stake!
I'm involved in a coin(not super) where dev say that within 1 year it will reach 5usd each.
Results? Only hold, hold, hold, market stall and dead and this coin is going to be delisted.

We need to try to not make the same with super.
I have enough coin(32k only on cryptsy), and another 30k on mintpal.
What i have to do now for you? HOLD,HOLD,STAKE,WAIT FOR PHASE2 AND POST HERE THAT SUPER IS SUPER? Only this?

NOT! We have to move market.
That's why sometimes i buy more, and sell also with a loose. Don't give a fuck if i loose some dollars.

I have bought 0,1 on mintpal at 1500 a couple of weeks ago and reselle some at 1300 just to move a little the market and cause i needed some found to buy other coins. But in this way market volume grows up and other trader will se that super is moving on exchangers.

Am i wrong?
Are you afraid to do the same?
Are you afraid to lost 0,1 btc buyng now, or you want to know before buy name, surname, address, city, hair color of the dev before be involved in?

That is actually a good strategy, I use it myself !

The more successful coins have community who give away many coins.
Super needs a giveaway strategy, in order to spread holdings.

Any thoughts on XCN (so called mini-blockchain implementation)? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713538

I just computed that the current price implies 22+ BTC inflow per day. I'd also add that the fully-mined market cap is 119600 BTC, which is close to a hundred million dollars.

That seems way out of line to me given the current state of the project.

interesting project - as far as I understand this has the potential to scale in a much better way than the current blockchains are doing.

I would like to discuss an economic issue you are referring to, which is somewhat complicated: afaik the fully mined market cap of this currency will not be reached in any foreeseable future (>20 years), but you try to value it in the current state of development. I think it is totally clear that this project in the current condition is not worth 119600 btc. but does this make sense? I think we can savely assume that if xcn somehow survives, the system is much further developed once it is fully mined (in 20 years) as it is now. the methodology of "valueing" very young projects with the final market cap is somehow semi-elegant. does anyone have a more elegant solution for this? probably to make it more clear: assume a new chain is started which reaches its market cap in ~5000 years and the emmission is brutally slow - it does not make sense to use this parameter does it?

The very long tail into the future is only a small factor though. Say in 5 years it will be 25% mined, so that's $25 million dollars even if you ignore the future. That's still pretty big given the current state.

Not really. 5 years timescale is huge in altcoin terms. Even 2 years ago there were hardly any alternatives to BTC.  70% of the top 20 coins ( most over $5m) are a matter of months, rather than years old.
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Anonymous Wallet Live & PoS Superblocks >>> MULTIPOOL ONLINE! on: July 31, 2014, 06:37:02 PM
I noticed my recent posts deleted by moderators. It looks new rule started. Mods not allowing multipool ads here in this thread any more :S

I think that is correct. Virtually all coins issued in recent months now have multipools, so that it is not really a distinction that matters much.
1419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTS] LottoShares - Merge-Mine with CasinoCoin, Trade @Bter on: July 31, 2014, 06:33:55 PM
These are freshly recovered/minted coins !

These look like standard ShareCoin or FootballCoin airdrops.

The maturity confirmations are random, so would it not be the case there is a small probability that all 7000 LTS would have vested in some address by now ?  If many thousands of addresses have been airdropped, that would be feasable.

Viacoin needs a fresh paperwallet. The version on github is not working clientside without internet connection.
