Unfortunately:

A critical security vulnerability has been discovered.

This is a vulnerability that has existed in all versions prior to the current version. Even if you downloaded 0.3.3.2, you should download it again. The original download for 0.3.3.2 was still affected by the security vulnerability.

For obvious reasons, we will not be disclosing the nature of the vulnerability for the next few weeks, we wish to give everyone a chance to upgrade before opening the doors to exploitation. We will say however that it is not related to the blockchain code, it is related to the frontend code.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Do we have to update immediately, or we have target block to do it before?

Hi,
after i updated, my client looks like this, and nothing happens if i click elsewhere. if i start the 0.3.3.1 everything is fine. firewall is open. i also tried to delete wallet folder, a now wallet file is created, but ui is still not usable. i waited 10 minutes, nothing changed. i also tried win32 bit 0.3.3.2, the same behavior.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/zu7dsz77yp4xvcb/sia.png?dl=0

Where i can find a errorlog?
Is there also a config file, where i can set the wallet dirs and storage path?

Yeah. The release is 8 hours old but the downloads are more recent than that.

Unfortunately, we broke mining, until we know what to do for that, y'all are going to need special siad binaries. I'm creating them now.

edit: okay, it's all better again. Sorry about the rocky release, but until proven otherwise it's all good now.

It seems there are three files after I copied the wallet.dat in the wallet folder with the 3.2 UI client - outputs.backup, backup.wallet, and wallet.dat. In previous version, there is no outputs.backup. After I copied my wallet.dat in the wallet folder, I could not get the old address and balance. The client showed a new address and 0 balance. Should I delet the outputs.backup?
Yes I saw the new files in the wallet. What I did was to take the entire wallet folder ( not just the wallet.dat) and copy that into the new SIA folder. Just rename you wallet that's in there now wallet1 and drop in your backed up (wallet) folder.....

How did you upgrade?

I only replaced the wallet.dat with my backup wallet.dat and had a bit of a scare when I saw zero balance. Put the wallet.backup that I luckily backed up in there and it worked. Odd that wallet.dat itself does not serve as a backup (at least it did not seem to work without the wallet.backup file). Most users will not be used to that at all. Definitely going to be sure to backup my entire wallet folder every time.

Don't worry if you are off by 1-2 blocks from the explorer. Downloading the block chain will take a while if you don't move over the old chain.db file.

As for peers, give it 20-30 minutes and you should get a few more. The old siad had a bad version model, you won't connect to anyone running the old version.
My v0.3.3.2 wallet running more that 1 hour and he still show 5651

There is a 'backup.wallet'? You don't need to delete the outputs.backup.
I'm guessing a newly generated wallet got placed in your home folder. Try replacing $HOME/.config/Sia/wallet/wallet.dat
Find the default home directory for your OS here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_directory

My UI client is working now after I put both of my old wallet.dat and wallet.backup into the new client wallet folder and the $home/.config/Sia/wallet folder.

It seems that only the wallet.dat in the $home/.config... folder is getting updated. The wallet.dat in the client folder still shows the same old file time and not gets updated. Also my address becomes to my old address+12 characters.

Is my old wallet.dat still good or I need to save my new updated wallet.dat in my $home directory?

Is my old address still a valid address or I have to use my new address (the old one+12 letters/numbers)?
answer - the old addresses will work on the new clients still, the new addresses will not work on the old clients

Just wait and they will come lol

Its been mentioned that the peers will be a little slower getting passed 1 due to the new 3.3.2 does not see the older wallet versions peers... so as more get the new wallet up and running we should see peer count increasing. That's my understanding?

I just reinstalled ( for the 3rd time Smiley ) 3.3.2 about 30 minutes ago on 2 pc's and now I am seeing 3 peers on 1 and 4 on the other.
