Somehow, we as basketball fans would like to see again Lebron James playing in the post season, but we cannot just get ahead because their current roster will not probably get the chance to play at the playoffs considering how inconsistent they are, and players aren't that willing to step-up if there's a situation that needed them to be at the best version of themselves. So far, they are making an improvement, but I still doubt it.

They needed to make a move in this upcoming trade because if they won't then it's best to assume that they won't going to reach far enough, if they will get lucky, they will just probably get eliminated in the 1st round or worse in the play-in tournament.

Maybe there's a little chance to reach the playoffs but they will probably have an early exit because they will be battling the tough team in the NBA. Well, Lebron and Davis may have the experience, but the game now has chance, it's not only about 1 or 2 guys on the roster, it's about a good teamwork and the Lakers simply does not have that thing yet.

I won't argue with you about that, the Lakers are somehow good but not good enough to compete in the upcoming playoff because their roster is not that really consistent. WB and Schroder need to step up further so that LeBron won't be overwhelmed and there's Davis that is not reliable to play in each game if ever they can reach the playoffs. Maybe if they can acquire and trade with a role player, their chances might improve.

What a homecoming game for Donovan Mitchell in Salt Lake. 46 big points. He even had a video tribute,
Yeah, that was a fun game. I love how the Utah fans welcomed him back with warm applause and loud cheers. They still love him there.

Two amazing highlights I have seen today that have that "oomph" with what they did.
Damian Lillard dunk against Cole Anthony.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5VC8hngrwg
The flight and the finish.
Then another highlight was at the same team, Trail Blazers Anfernee Simons, blocking a throw down from Wagner.

https://twitter.com/NBA/status/1613038196602048512?s=20&t=8yJGLOFeFqaPEpj4cPAFmw
Clean block, damn hops. Wagner is so high no one would dare challenge it and yet he did.
Sadly, the Trail Blazers lost having a difficult time finding that 3-point shot in the last seconds of the game even if they had 3 or 4 times gained the offensive rebound to try again. Nice win by Orlando Magic.

There is a rumor that Lakers want to bring DeMarcus Cousins back. He is expected to work out for the Lakers soon as the report says. Idk if Cousins is the right guy they are looking for that can help the Lakers get a spot in the playoffs and battle their way. Just like AD, he is injury prone. The last time I saw him playing well is with Warriors. Russ is doing fine in their last 4 games but not enough. If only Russ and Schroder are consistent, that way they have a better chance of getting into playoffs.

~ Still very good for the Jazz as everyone thinks that they are going to tank this season because of the huge overall.
Do you mean a huge overhaul? I'm pretty sure not everyone thinks that way, there's no reason for me to believe they're intentionally dropping games. In fact, nobody thought about the Jazz tanking when they were leading earlier in the season.

I am cheering for the Joker to get his 3 straight MVP award
Other candidates are equally deserving to win but I also have no problem if Jokic gets it again. It probably helps that he appears to be a likable person and focuses on team wins rather than individual stats.

But they don't really tank that well. Looked at their losses, most of them are close games, so as a team, that's something to be happy with because they are competing at a highest level.

Jokic might win but I like Luka to have his chance this season. Unfortunately, his team is not as good as Jokic.

Luka's shoulder has too much weight in it. Christian Wood became inconsistent. Dinwiddie is the same. Tim Hardaway on his normal 3-5 three points per game. Something must be changed, like when Brunson was around stepping up his game, and Luka was benched because of injury.

I vote for Jokic too. It's says valuable and I know Luka is one heck of a valuable player but when it comes to team value, Jokic has the upper hand and it's definitely making their team better as it can be seen on paper as top of the Western Conference. And NBA and fans always rely on stats, that's proven for years. If Doncic wins, I am still at peace. Cheesy I love watching those two players.

There are bad rumors about this Jokic as 3rd time consecutive MVP to happen. They said, "NBA won't let it happen as it would set another record."
But those are just rumors and I firmly believe NBA won't be that selfish enough to stop what is transparent.
Most of the stars of this era claimed 2 time MVPs, Steph Curry and Steve Nash. The last time a three-time MVP happened was Larry Bird. That will mean Nikola Jokic will level to legendaries like Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, and Larry Bird if they give the 3rd one to him.
Will the NBA let this happen? I do hope they will.
And it's just rumors from NBA analysts almost like a conspiracy theory. If he deserves it, give it.

I have no idea about the panel that will vote for the MVP but it will be hard indeed as each of them might have their own specific bias deep inside of them or they might meet together to talk about their preferred players. And it's the NBA, there might be no panel members from foreign countries except Canada who's got a team in the American league. The issue is probably on the 3 straight MVP award since there are players already that won it more than 3 times like Bron and Jordan but they haven't won it in 3 consecutive years. I am also optimistic that in case Jokic is the obvious winner especially if Denver remains in the top position, they will vote for him. And Jokic is still in his mid-20s, he still has a lot of prime years in him.

8 NBA games today with 2 of them being televised on ESPN's NBA doubleheader.  First up is the Bucks vs the Hawks.  While the Hawks have been playing great lately, I think the Bucks are just the better team and Giannis will be able to carry them to a win.  Hopefully the Hawks big guys don't cause him too many problems.  Then later we have the Suns and Nuggets.  The Suns are fresh off a game where their reserves beat the Warriors and the Nuggets have been healthy lately, so I tend to think the Nuggets are going to win this one fairly easily.  We'll see...

Bucks @1.73 and Nuggets @1.1 on ML. Probably better to just parlay in this case. The disrespect by bookies on the Suns @7.8 hehe but maybe justifiable given the Nuggets' dominant performances lately. Maybe add Celtics @1.23 on that combo. Their clash against the Pelicans would have been a good watch but too bad Zion is out.

Celtics vs Bulls might be the best entertaining game of all. Two offensive teams, expecting a high scoring game.

Let's see if Bulls' Zach Lavine will continue his good numbers against the Boston Celtics. It's been notable that Bulls fans are really happy with his recent performance where he joined the Steph Curry 3-point party after establishing 11 3s last game. Although LaVine is playing like that, others want to work him on making defense as purely focusing on offense won't take them always to win. But for me, if he's really not good at that, let them focus on his specialty and trust his teammates to do what's lacking for him. It's a team effort, by the way, to win.

But according to rumors, that doesn't change the fact that LaVine has the chance to still get traded before the trade deadline.

As far as the rumor list is concerned, his name is still hot there and not until the trade deadline ends, we can ruled out that possibility.

They got defeated by the Boston Celtics earlier, but LaVine still got a good stats in the game and managed to put 27 points with rebounds and assists. It's just that the Celtics now are quite dominant leaded by Tatum and Brown, they have been dominating since the season have started which is why they are at the top in the league leading both West and East conference.

Anyway, back to the Chicago Bulls. Is LaVine that hot in the trade talks? Care to share some information.

I remember when others are doubting the performance of the Boston Celtics because they established losing steaks before and the notable one is against Orlando Magic which others thought should be an easy win for the Celtics. Those people didn't realize that even a dominant team does have a bad night that might last for several games. Look at Celtics now, maintaining their rhythm again and going strong at .707 above the winning percentage.

Back to your question, yes Zach LaVine is being part of the trade rumor but maybe things have changed now when he is putting up good numbers recently on their previous games. Not just LaVine but other core players of the Chicago Bulls too are being put on trading rumors.

Some teams that are rumored to seem interested in acquiring him are; New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Miami Heat.

The same thing with the Warriors, even if they are all healthy and is expecting to be playing well in any given night, there's still a good chance that they will suddenly have a bad percentage in any angle they try. Even the 4x champion is still having a bad night, so what makes the people think that they will really have a good performance every night? I suggest they should think it through and not just basing their performance in a bad night against one of the teams that are tanking.

Anyway, talking about Zach LaVine. Those mentioned teams will literally have a boost to their offense once LaVine will land on their roster. Of all the teams mentioned, I just don't like to see him wearing purple and gold, his talent will be wasted.

Durant misses at least two weeks, that would be a huge loss to BKN. They rather choose losing to Miami than losing Durant. Just when he broke another record and went up one more place in all time top scorers list, he could've gone one more place next game. I hope he'll return healthy soon.
Kyrie is playing great lately so I don't expect many losses from Brooklyn in this period. Sure Kyrie will use the ball more and Simmons should take more responsibility. T.J. Warren and Watanabe will get more playing time. Coach Vaughn will find a way to win games, Nets have a good squad. I don't think they'll go down just like Suns.

Injuries really spoil the good rally of a team. That was unfortunate to happen now that the team is getting a good winning streak and this is the first time, that their drama stars are working together as a team with no issues or drama or what.

Good thing though that it happened this elimination and not in playoffs.

In the meantime, expect that Irving will do his job in covering what Durant will miss.

The good thing is Durant will be back in less time compared to the expected one month of being sidelined according to the report. The only thing that is left is for them to make up for the 30pts that Durant makes every game. When Durant was out last season, they had an 11-losing streak. Hope they find their rhythm without Durant this time since they are doing very fine this season. It means they have put down the drama.

That's not yet sure if he will indeed comeback much earlier this time and not the whole month expectation, Durant's timeline is not yet discussed because he will be needing some re-evaluation first in the next two weeks. If it will turn out great then it will be safe to assume that a 1 month rest will be too long for him but if that suspected injury is really serious, I guess he will be needing few more weeks. I just hope that it's not that serious though, a game is much interesting to see if the role players are complete.

The entire squad of the Nets need to work together to cover that, KD is not just a scorer but an all-around player, covering his spot should
be done by all 5 players inside the court.

They've got a good chemistry and they just need to continue to play together, even without KD surely, they can still win games.

Hoping for KD's early recovery and not to suffer to any major injury.

Let's hope and see if he is going to need more days to recover in about less than 2 weeks from now, there's no sign yet if his acquired injured is that serious.

While waiting for that, the remaining players should really try and cover his spot. It won't be an easy task of course because just like how you described Durant, he is not that limited to a specific role, but I'm inclined that they can still carry out their task successfully because Irving is still there for the team.

Hard to say that they will not chase for spot anymore since they still have a chance although its slim at the moment but I bet they will just throw this season away since its a big honor especially to their fans if they can reach on the playoff and be consistent to win on their crucial games. But maybe your right they should think about changing the coach since this could provably give different result on their roosters.

Pretty much every player is working their way into making it happen and I think Zack LeVine right now had a pretty big improvement with his performance, pretty much because the management is thinking of trading him out of the Bulls, which I don't think a pretty much brilliant idea right now, even though Javonte Green can not play and even though DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso can not play for the team there will be a Zach LeVine who will stand up, but pretty much he really needs them that much,

Not gonna predict who might step up since lot of stars are being ruled out in this ladder, I just hope that no one from the top will get injured again. Looks like it will be Luka that may step up and yeah those two will not likely be out from their spot and remain at the top.

Actually last season they predicted that Giannis Antetokounmpo will be MVP because he was MVP in 2021 and I think Luka Doncic's name was there aswell, and there is no Stephen Curry on the voting list or they don't really expect much from Stephen Curry that time, but Stephen Curry still becomes the MVP in the year 2022, with the most promising points of 50, and for some odd reason they still doing it to Stephen Curry until this day,

Hawks still in the 9th place though, so I don't consider them great team as compare to to 2 years ago. While Bucks has an MVP in Giannis and then have a good supporting cast and now sitting at 3rd place and won big last time against the Knicks.

For the Suns vs Nuggets, they got lucky that they beat the Warriors even if Curry comes back. But it's more of a question on chemistry because the Warriors might be off having Curry on their lineup again. So if I'm going to bet on this one, Bucks and Nuggets for me.

Problem really is reagravating the injury is going to be a concern.  It's a long season and Nets will probably have to manage his minutes during the regular season.  Even if he is fine, dude is almost 7 foot with a knee injury.  Those don't just go away especially after all the miles he already put on those legs.  I say sit him no matter what for awhile.

I don't think Hawks finish season with positive win/loss rate. They may be in play-in spot but don't expect any miracles from them. Without Trae they are just a mid team. The competition in the Eastern Conference is tougher than ever. Boston, Brooklyn and Milwaukee are favorites there. Philly and Cavs are going good as well. In fact Cavs surprised me this season, they are playing above expectations. Mitchell and Garland have a great regular season so far.

The Lakers have Thomas Bryant, who has been playing pretty well lately, and I think he partially replaces Davis. So I'm not sure Cousins is needed by the Lakers, given that he's unlikely to be useful to the team due to his injury-prone nature. By the way, Cousins only averaged 9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season. To be honest, I feel sorry for him as he's only 32 years old, and he could have been in his prime, but that injury destroyed his career.

Yes, Thomas Bryant i doing good filling the void that Davis has left for the meantime and he is instrumental for bringing the Lakers to their winning streak and if I'm memory serves me right, he has game wherein he scored almost 30 points.

So no need to bring a experience player like Cousins, who also had some problems with this attitude and technical fouls.

And they don't need such kind of players right now, they have settled down a bit, they just need to bring Davis back again in the rotation and Thomas Bryant a good back up for now.

Yes, that's where the issue is. 3 MVP streak. But it's going to be a long season, let's just wait for what will come out, especially with Tatum tailing him.
There is a rumor that Lakers want to bring DeMarcus Cousins back. He is expected to work out for the Lakers soon as the report says. This is good if it's true, all I heard was he was working out with them (Lakers). DeMarcus Cousins had been marketing himself on Instagram about how healthy he is, and how he can contribute more because he is better.
I don't doubt that because I have seen it during his Nuggets run on how he helped them when Jokic needs a rest.
He only averages 13 minutes per game and yet he is an 8 points/5 rebounds/1 assists average on his stats. Given more minutes I think he could provide more than just fouling out because he will try to be careful with his defense.
This will be good news for him, he had been waiting for this moment.

I am cheering for the Joker to get his 3 straight MVP award
Other candidates are equally deserving to win but I also have no problem if Jokic gets it again. It probably helps that he appears to be a likable person and focuses on team wins rather than individual stats.
Yeah, I think it will be bad for the league to have Jokic win the MVP without him going into the finals? It's understandable if he bring his Nuggets to the finals and win the MVP at the same time and so it will be a complete domination.

But if he struggles again this season, although they are the number 1 team in the West, but we all know that playoff is very different, the atmosphere and it's a series. So better be Jokic proving himself with a ring instead of the NBA giving him his 3rd MVP.
