It was the Nets in a very close game against the Pelicans. No Zion but the Pels have the home court advantage but in the end Durant bring his A-game. I don't think that the Pels feels broken after this game. It just shows their character as a team with Zion.

Hornets beating the Bucks for now, 127-103.

Perhaps this is one surprised of this scheduled game. Still lots of games though, so let's see.

NOP fought the game and almost defend their home court crowd, without Zion and Ingram, they gave Nets a tough game. CJ and Marshall for NOP while it's the Nets superstars who help the team in winning the game.

That last quarter run of the Nets really impress me while watching the game, KD and Kyrie with leading the offense
while Simmons and Claxton are really fighting for the ball and create good hassle play to help, close game till the
final minutes, it's the experienced that leads Nets to win the game.

Can't blame him if LeBron that time took his talent to the South Beach where Miami Heat is, I mean, Cavaliers was really nothing if LeBron wasn't in the eqaution and drafted there. But in fairness, LeBron came back and promised that he will bring the team their very first championship trophy which really happened when he came back. Wasn't a nice journey because the Dub Nation was also strong that time, adding Durant in their roster.
Well, it's also like a "shout out" for the Cavaliers at that time to do something better at surrounding him with good players and we all witnessed what they did when Lebron James came back. Pulled Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love just so the winning chance is higher and they did take the championship ring for that.
This could happen to Victor Wembanyama too if a team will be cheap at looking for players that will reflect his skills. It's not a one-man team, never, Warriors won't have that many championships if only Steph is the one doing all the offensive jobs.

Correct! It was a three-man job at the most where Green and the Splash Bros leads the team to get a win, but there's still a challenge that's why they needed some reliable role players to help protect the team in their defense to secure a win until they managed to get the championship. Just like LeBron, we all know that LeBron in Cleveland was so different but he couldn't still pull the championship if there's no Kyrie and Love in the team.

The problematic season is continuing for Lakers.

They have such an inconsistent form really. Sometimes they start a winning streak which stops sharply all of a sudden. But I don't know if they would stay inside of it or outside. Because this performance isn't credible enough to be sure of something about their future. Lebron must still be quite frustrated at his team now. Because he is still playing really competitively.
I think that's already a given fact this season, we are just waiting if they are going to make a move and trade some of their players, but so far they seems to satisfied as how they are doing, although for the fans, it's another worst season for them and the only bright light is Lebron breaking the record of another Laker great, Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

I do agree, they are borderline team and maybe they could be out of the playoffs again with this kind of lineup.

Or if they make it, probably gets eliminated by the top team in the West, like the Nuggets and Memphis team in the first round.

Somehow, we as basketball fans would like to see again Lebron James playing in the post season, but we cannot just get ahead because their current roster will not probably get the chance to play at the playoffs considering how inconsistent they are, and players aren't that willing to step-up if there's a situation that needed them to be at the best version of themselves. So far, they are making an improvement, but I still doubt it.

They needed to make a move in this upcoming trade because if they won't then it's best to assume that they won't going to reach far enough, if they will get lucky, they will just probably get eliminated in the 1st round or worse in the play-in tournament.

Maybe there's a little chance to reach the playoffs but they will probably have an early exit because they will be battling the tough team in the NBA. Well, Lebron and Davis may have the experience, but the game now has chance, it's not only about 1 or 2 guys on the roster, it's about a good teamwork and the Lakers simply does not have that thing yet.

I have not seen a player who didn't need any help to win. There's always a sidekick or a left and right-hand man to help out. In the case of the GSW, it's not about just Steph anymore, nor Klay and Green. Steve Kerr is so good in his coaching skill that he could make a bench player a star if they work harder.
GP2, Damion Lee (now one of the sharpshooters of the Suns), Looney, and even Wiggins's inconsistency were changed. Now, Kuminga, Baldwin, Jerome, and Moody. I think coaching is his fate.

I don't really like what Mike Brown did back in Cleveland, he used Lebron way too much like he was a horse, and that ended horribly, as he was always exhausted. But he did learn a lot being the assistant of Coach Kerr, now we can see those changes in Sacramento Kings which is now 5th in the West.

True, Sacramento Kings are a big surprise this season, it's the same lineup but they have a better season. What we want to see now is consistency, and as long as their system works, I think they'll be in good shape in the playoffs. Getting in the playoffs might be possible for them, but winning in the playoffs is just another thing.

The problematic season is continuing for Lakers.

They have such an inconsistent form really. Sometimes they start a winning streak which stops sharply all of a sudden. It is a three-game winning streak for now and we will see how long this will go on. It feels like they will finish the regular season on the brink of the playoff area. But I don't know if they would stay inside of it or outside. Because this performance isn't credible enough to be sure of something about their future. Lebron must still be quite frustrated at his team now. Because he is still playing really competitively.
Trade deadline is ending in February. They must do something to make the roster even better.
I mean they are on a winning streak yes, but it isn't sustainable and like you said, after that winning streak, they will go to a losing streak and that's why until now, the Lakers are still at the bottom and currently 4 games below 500.

Trade some of their players and get better players. With their superstars not playing for different reasons, they need a reliable scorer that will still help the team offensively. Some might say Schroeder is that guy and I might agree, but his performance in the bubble always comes to my mind and that only shows that he's kinda inconsistent still. Well, now that their superstars aren't playing, let's see how he will step up alongside Westbrook.
There is no other option now, they have some good players to trade but the problem is almost all the teams in the league have good chemistry with their players, so what the Lakers will be getting back might be banged up players, AD issue with injuries wont get them this far if he will continue to get injured, on and off playing will hurt the rotation, this might be the problem that the Lakers haven't figured out yet, or maybe they are just waiting for a move from other teams, if they make it to the playoffs this year without AD they will just making LeBron retired earlier because he will carry more loads for sure.

Yes, you're right but the team will always be moved and will be willing to cater the Lakers needs if there's a future 1st-round picks on the line as we know that almost every team needed that now. Currently, the Lakers are looking at the Pacers roster, Buddy Hield in particular and I don't think the Pacers will hand Hield that easily if the exchange is not good enough. Either way, we will know it soon as the trade deadline is already approaching.

Unfortunately I was not able to watch this whole Celtics vs Mavericks game, but I saw in some highlights that Marcus Smart played well, and mainly his main characteristic which is his defense, worked well in this game, because I also agree that "only" 23 points for Luka it's not much, I immediately imagined that for this to have happened either Luka played badly or he was very well guarded.

Good thing you didn't watch the game but it turns out it was just a boring game. Honestly, I didn't expect that the Mavericks will lose by blowout in that game, they were playing very well at home, so I was expecting that they will at least make it tougher for the Celtics to beat them.
I believe that most people also imagined that, but I believe it was a compilation of events that somehow "favored" the Celtics.

Luka scored few times, and had "only" 29 points, while the Celtics, most of the players had a relevant score.

It seems that with each passing year, the young players Tatum, Brown, Smart among others, are getting a significant improvement, that is, it was a hard work of the Celtics team in polishing these players.

I even dare to say, but (Tatum, Brown and Smart) could be a similar trio to the Celtics of a few years ago (Garnett, Pierce, Allen and Rondo), I know that these young players need to mature and improve to at least come close the level of that Celtics trio of yesteryear.

It was the Nets in a very close game against the Pelicans. No Zion but the Pels have the home court advantage but in the end Durant bring his A-game. I don't think that the Pels feels broken after this game. It just shows their character as a team with Zion.

NOP fought the game and almost defend their home court crowd, without Zion and Ingram, they gave Nets a tough game. CJ and Marshall for NOP while it's the Nets superstars who help the team in winning the game.

Yes, they almost steal a win without Zion on the lineup, they defended well Durant in the first 3 quarters, but when he needed to score, he was clutch and so is Kyrie.

That last quarter run of the Nets really impress me while watching the game, KD and Kyrie with leading the offense
while Simmons and Claxton are really fighting for the ball and create good hassle play to help, close game till the
final minutes, it's the experienced that leads Nets to win the game.

Ben with 10 assist in this game, while Claxton was big in rebounds with 9.

But you gonna love Alvarado here, hustle and defense to go with 17 points.

A very bad loss for the Philadelphia 76ers against the Chicago Bulls.
That's how bad it gets whenever Joel Embiid is out. They got close to 8 points deficit but Zach LaVine didn't let them get too near. 41 points for Zach and it came mostly from his 11/13 three-point shooting. Wow!  Shocked

Yeah, I think without Joel, it will take a lot of effort from Harden to win this game against a tough Chicago Bulls. They have some momentum now going into this game and they carry it very well.

Lavine really takes over the game, but he has a lot of help from Vucevic, Patrick Williams and of course DeRozan.

Great escape win by the Knicks as well against the Raptors. Toronto coming back and cut the lead to 4, but was unable to score in the last 11 seconds as Barnes shot was too strong.

We are almost halfway through the season, I hope they can be consistent to secure a spot in the playoffs. They were indeed a big surprise this season, Fox is an upgrade to fit playing alongside Sabonis and Barnes. The playoffs maybe a bit different for them, but I believe to could win at least the first round. If they will have to make another surprise in the post season, they'll beat everyone in the West (which is kinda difficult for a team who have never been in the playoffs for quite some time) and compete in the Finals lol, who knows.

What a CHAD game from LaVine last night against 76ers as he was looking unstoppable , scoring a total of 41 points and most likely his points made Bulls to win that game.

Recently , I didn't hear anything new about LaVine unhappy situation with Bulls , or the guy is just doing his business and he will leave in summer but at this point , there are no fresh news indicating he wants to leave anymore.

Bucks ...after Giannis had a career high scoring points , they lost immediately next game against Hornets and don't get me wrong but Hornets were played amazing last night even if some important players from Bucks played a few minutes.

Maybe the issue was already settled, and that's good because Bulls are now playing based on our expectation.
If they will again be in the playoffs this season, it should be different compared to the last and I think they have a chance to advance.
Well, it's necessary that the big 3 are healthy.

Bucks ...after Giannis had a career high scoring points , they lost immediately next game against Hornets and don't get me wrong but Hornets were played amazing last night even if some important players from Bucks played a few minutes.
They are due for a win, and it was a big time win because beating the Bucks by 29 points is just crazy.

True, Sacramento Kings are a big surprise this season, it's the same lineup but they have a better season. If they will have to make another surprise in the post season, they'll beat everyone in the West (which is kinda difficult for a team who have never been in the playoffs for quite some time) and compete in the Finals lol, who knows.

Again, Fox getting healthy, then acquiring Sabonis who is a perfect fit for the Kings style of play, propel them to where they are right now. But the real test is the playoff, and since they lack the experience if ever they made it for this season, it might be a difficult 1st round for them whoever they face

As for the Bulls, there were speculations that both Lavine and DeRozan are not happy. But usually this kind of news whether true or not fuels this athlete, so in the last couple of games we have seen either Zach or DeMar really playing good and getting a huge W. They are so far in a two game winning streak. Knicks building another streak of their own again, 4 game so far.

It's a reborn bulls for me.
Before the start of the season, I was expecting their lineup to be strong enough to compete with the other good east teams. However, the absence of Lonzo Ball is one of the reasons they are not performing well. Lavine was dissatisfied, contemplated a trade, and he was targeting the Lakers. However, he might stay if he can maintain the form he has shown in recent games. This would put them back in the winning column. The Bulls have many games left to enter the playoffs.

The Nets beat the Pelicans in a game that wasn’t so pretty. Durant scored 33 in an uncharacteristically inefficient night. It was Kyrie down the stretch who brought the game home for them though.

If Zion was playing, the result might be different.
I cannot wait to see the Pelicans in full force and see what they can accomplish. They do not have Williamson or Ingram, but McCollum and the rest of the team continue to play at high level.

I'm still trying to understand Clippers as an ORG as this team is playing great basketball sometimes and the other times , they are considering basketball a joke...and if I remember well and I do , Clippers was the most hyped team some years ago right ? look what this hype made to them a few years later...

Poor Clippers, like the Lakers there are a lot of hype on them when they got Kawhi and then Paul George. But so far the investments are not returning. Both of there superstars are always injured.

Kawhi's prime is cut short by his injuries. It is just painful to see that no load management can sustain his health. His knee injury is a reoccurring injury that he may suffer even when he gets older and out of basketball. By now, we may conclude that they will not be able to carry this team to a championship because of their injuries.

At least they are showing some signs of life. We are still halfway through the season, so if they can get a move for a key player that can help them, there is still a chance that we will see them in the playoffs. Schroeder, Westbrook, Bryant, and Walker are really showing some improvements. They are just a key player away from being really good. And if AD and Lebron stays healthy, their bid is pretty much alive.

It's unlikely that the Kings will have an impressive performance in the playoffs. At least, I don't expect them to be able to of getting past the second round. By the way, it's worth noting that the Kings haven't reached the playoffs in the last 16 seasons. So the fact that the Kings are now in fifth place in the standings and have a good chance of reaching the playoffs is already a great achievement for both their current roster and for the Kings franchise as a whole.
