If this trade will happen, Westbrook will surely be one of the players who will be traded since Irving-Westbrook trade might not be acceptable for the Nets. The fact that Irving had already stated his decision to leave the team, then makes the waiting time before the trade deadline more exciting.
I'm more inclined to think Irving will stay with the Nets for the rest of this season and become a free agent in the offseason. However, there have already been rumors of a potential deal between the Lakers and the Nets. As far as I know, the Lakers could include Westbrook, two first-round picks, and another role player in the deal. Anyway, if that happens or not, we'll know very soon because the trade deadline is February 9. I'm not sure the Nets want Irving to stick around after all the problems he's caused there from the beginning. At this point, they probably want to wash their hands with him. He also told them he won't resign, so it's a matter of if they want to get anything in return for him at all, or let him go for nothing. I'm sure they'd probably appreciate having Russ around as he's a hard worker and good employee. The opposite of Kyrie. In my opinion, if they do decide to keep him, it's out of spite in order to make the rest of this season hell for him. I could also see them shipping him to Toronto or some other far off land. I tend to think they would appreciate being rid of the distraction though, so at this point a trade of Kyrie to the Rockets for a bag of skittles wouldn't surprise me. Agreed. Think the Nets will try to bury him on a sub par team who is willing to give up some picks. Better off they at least get some picks instead of losing him for nothing. Kyrie better watch the line though eventually not many teams will want to deal with this on a yearly basis. Players get phased out for stuff like this, especially when he is on the wrong side of his prime years.

^ Ya, that is crazy news that Kyrie has formally requested a trade with only a short time before the trade deadline. It isn’t totally unexpected though. KD hasn’t been healthy, Ben Simmons is a mess, and Kyrie wants to win championships. I think he needs LeBron. We’ll see what happens but I’m sure Lakers fans everywhere are hoping that a Kyrie for Westbrook trade happens. I can’t imagine it does for many reasons, but I’m not sure who is in a position to trade for Kyrie.
That would be a great deal for the Lakers if that happens but usually, we get to see these trades that are favoring the team that will be left or traded for. This is an exciting developing story and if the rumors are true then there's an increased chance for the Lakers to be seen continuing to play together with Lebron but, it's on them to do the deal. The question is if the Brooklyn Nets will agree with it. I mean, it's Westbrook and I do think Kyrie Irving is still more valuable than him especially when it comes to being dominating on both inside and outside shooting. Kyrie can definitely shoot and make successful isolation plays. The Lakers should make the deal sweeter or there won't be any trade discussion that could happen. If I'm not mistaken, the Nets management are willing to let go of Irving years ago, after he doesn't want to take the vaccine because of his own belief. And it really throw them off as obviously he can't play that time as the NBA mandated everyone to get a vaccine. And then the whole statement of him, his anti-Semitic stance that cause him a 5 game suspension. It just so happen that he looks valuable because there is no Kevin Durant and he become the main man. And with that, I think teams are reluctant to discuss trade talks involving Kyrie, in my opinion. I think Irving is really good, Durant cannot win also without Irving, remember the last playoffs when they were beating teams, including the Bucks whom they dominated in the first 2 games, but when Irving was injured in game 3, things have changed and that resulted to Nets losing to the Bucks in a 6 game series if I'm not mistaken. Well, their chances are now improved because they got another helping hand but still, without either one of Durant and Irving, the Brooklyn Nets will eventually crumble because Irving and Durant is not the type of player who can lift the team. Both of them need each other to reach further than where they've been last time. The challenge now is, Kyrie Irving is the one who is forcing the trade because the Nets won't give him another contract.

I do not know if Kyrie wants to play with Lebron. Remember, he is the one who left Lebron in Cleveland before for whatever reason he has. The question is if the Brooklyn Nets will agree with it. Kyrie can definitely shoot and make successful isolation plays. The Lakers should make the deal sweeter or there won't be any trade discussion that could happen.
If this happens Kevin Durant will surely like to leave too and I don't doubt every team will start poking out to get KD in their roster even for a high price or sacrificing half of a star-studded roster. The Nets will be left with nothing, back to square one, but there are teams who make a successful one by doing this. Utah Jazz is a good example.
Surely, KD will not want to deal with a broken Ben Simmons and an underperforming Westbrook. He will have no one to share the load with. At least with Kyrie, even with all the drama, he can be assured that he will perform well in the court and you can depend on him if you need a winning shot.

To convince the Nets management to move Kyrie, the Lakers will undoubtedly need to make a strong offer. They will need to take into account the deal's total worth in addition to merely handing up WB. The Nets want to ensure that they are receiving something in return that will assist their team and them develop. It's difficult to know with certainty what the Nets could be searching for. They may be seeking for young players with promise to fill critical roles or for draft selections to establish the foundation for the future. Additionally, it could be both at once. Regardless of the circumstances, the Lakers will need to figure out how to strike a balance between their desire to get Kyrie and what the Nets are seeking in exchange. There is little doubt, though, that this trade season will be intriguing, and we'll be paying careful attention to what transpires. The Lakers are a strong team with a ton of skill, and if they can complete this deal, they'll be a force to be reckoned with. The way it all turns out and the effect it has on the league as a whole will be fascinating to observe. Both, as we can see throughout big trades, it involves certain players + future draft picks. We have seen this when Mitchell was traded to Cavs and same with Gobert to T'wolves. But as this point, the Lakers are not willing to trade their future drafts any longer, if I'm not mistaken, they have used it to get Westbrook from Washington. So not sure how the Lakers will go on this trade if they are really interested on getting Kyrie Irving to partner will Lebron. But for now I will say that the Lakers are not willing to trade for Kyrie, it's going to be a big risk for them. That this is going to be a risk worth taking in my opinion. If they can actually get him on the team and also he can partner well with LeBron James, it is going to be great for Lakers are not performing well enough right now in my opinion. So, they should take some risks right now if the situation is "high-risk-high-reward". But if the thing the reward might not be as expected, I think there is no problem not getting Kyrie. Duke Khan On lighter note this Lebron and Irving duo is already proven they got a championship back on cavs so maybe they can make this happen on Lakers to if Irving is willing to do the same what they perform on their old team. But can't imagine how many picks or player they should trade before they can get this guy since for sure Nets will not give this trade an easy one since they also want to get benefit on this possible trade. Current trade rumors about Kyrie going to the LA Lakers simulates that the Lakers will at least give 2-first round picks just to acquire him, now I know it's risky because a couple of a first round picks are too valuable for the Lakers now because they are going to have a rebuilding soon enough. But if they badly want an improvement this season, then acquiring Kyrie is the only option because yes, it's already proven that this duo will certainly give the other teams some struggle plus with Davis on the line. This will be interesting if this will materialize as Irving really looks up upon LeBron and I think he won't do any careless actions that will lose the respect towards each other.

Nets have no need to deal with the Lakers, Lakers have nothing to offer them really. I can see a team like the heat taking a stab at him. Think that might be the best fit or possibly the Bucks. It's a one year rental because he is a free agent after this year. Only teams that will offer anything are teams on the fringe of Winning a championship.

If Lebron's kids have the talents and deserved to play in the NBA, I began to think how is it possible to easily make both of them play in the same team. 30 teams in the NBA and 60 players to be picked. I guess that won't be easy unless the Lakers once again will make a sacrifice like picking them early just to secure it to the team. But it will be fun if it is possible. The easiest way though for it to happen is if those kids aren't NBA-level talents and the Lakers can just easily acquire and sign them.
If Lebron will stay long in the NBA and continues to average 15+ to 20+ per game, that would make his record very difficult to break. Guys like Luka won't even think of playing that long in the NBA as there's still a lot to enjoy outside basketball.
Yup! I am thinking of that aswell, if Lebron's kids are not NBA level they can easily acquire them and give them a normal contract for their father and them to play along if the Lakers still want Lebron James' service that is, or even other teams that want to recruit Lebron they can also acquire his sons, that for me can turn into decent players when given time to improve I guess even though Bronny James doesn't end up with the DNA as his father has, I think he can improve and be a different baller he can be, just like how Seth Curry to his bother Stephen, Seth just don't get the Skills, but he is still a decent player for the NBA, and making name for himself, I think it is good for Lebron's son to end up differently that his old man has, That would be a great deal for the Lakers if that happens but usually, we get to see these trades that are favoring the team that will be left or traded for. This is an exciting developing story and if the rumors are true then there's an increased chance for the Lakers to be seen continuing to play together with Lebron but, it's on them to do the deal.
Here we go again, Kyrie Irving making a hasty decision again, for me I think he will just ruin his image, even more, he has said a statement that he will not abandon his current team and I think he and Kevin Durant are doing awesome scores that consecutive winnings they have when Durant is healthy when both of them are, that was really insane I pretty much think that they only needed rest to continue moving forward, for me if this is true and if Kyrie Irving is requesting something like this let him leave I real think they never really need them in the 1st place,

For me, Nets should allow Kyrie's request. It's not good to continue with the journey if one of their key players is not sure to stay with the team. It's also good that Kyrie will leave so the main focus of the offense will be at the hands of Kevin Durant. In fact, there are lots of good role players too to assist KD. Simmons, on the other hand, should now improve if Kyrie will leave. But the fact that the trade deadline is coming near, I doubt a sudden and quick execution of that trade will happen. Let's see if that will be push or else, it will happen in the off-season instead.

I agree that the Lakers have nothing to offer that the Nets will find attracting enough to trade Kyrie. They do not have first round picks and they cannot just trade Westbrook straight off. Plus, Westbrook has some beef with KD before as well as Kyrie with Lebron. This trade is just not going to work out for both teams. I do not know which team will benefit Kyrie the most. I believe Bucks do not have the need for him. It will destroy their chemistry and rotation. I hear the Clippers are looking for a point guard for their run and I believe they will have a use for Kyrie in their team. But can they afford him? If Lebron's kids have the talents and deserved to play in the NBA, I began to think how is it possible to easily make both of them play in the same team. 30 teams in the NBA and 60 players to be picked. Maybe, if he does not have that much pressure, he could play better. He is currently ranked at 32, I think and that is already good. He will be a good NBA player if he plays outside the shadow of his father. If Lebron keeps using his name to get Bronny in NBA, he will just destroy his kid's career. Just let the kid find his own path.

It looks like if Kyrie isn't traded he will sit out the rest of the season. Brooklyn has about 5 days left to work some magic. I don't think sitting out the rest of the season is the smart move because it will just reinforce what teams already think. Kyrie is an issue to have on their team. 27 point average or not, a problem child is not something any team wants.

They really have to, that's no good for the team if someone's already mentioned their interest of going to another team as per request. That is not good for the team's morale if someone is already thinking of his exit and things for himself while his teammates are aiming for the good of the team.

Regardless, that kid will really be bound to get into the NBA even without LeBron using his name. The pressure on Bronny can't be avoided because he is the son of LeBron James. The kid should already be aware of that. Unfair to blame LeBron James for that as believed me, the basketball community themselves will be the ones to put pressure on the kid once he gets into the league and he will deal with people's criticism for the entirety of his career.

Kyrie said he will re-sign with the Nets in the summer. Kyrie also said he will stay with Durant for the rest of this season.
Now a change of decision right away lol. Maybe the Nets need to consider rushing things in a few days and grant what Kyrie wants. What a waste of their slot if the trade won't be executed and he will sit out the entire season. The Nets can acquire good role players in return with Kyrie's current worth.

On lighter note this Lebron and Irving duo is already proven they got a championship back on cavs so maybe they can make this happen on Lakers to if Irving is willing to do the same what they perform on their old team. But can't imagine how many picks or player they should trade before they can get this guy since for sure Nets will not give this trade an easy one since they also want to get benefit on this possible trade.
Of course, it is going to be really hard for Lakers to bring him into the team. But I think it is going to be a worthy effort. It is true that just because this duo worked well before does not mean that it is going to work well right now. But I think there is a higher chance of this working out. If this trade will happen, Westbrook will surely be one of the players who will be traded since Irving-Westbrook trade might not be acceptable for the Nets. The fact that Irving had already stated his decision to leave the team, then makes the waiting time before the trade deadline more exciting.
Everything indicates that Kyrie actually probably wants to go to Lakers. But the Lakers authority will have to really want him to be in the team, for Kyrie to play for the Lakers. To bring this one player, they will have to do a lot of things and pull a lot of strings. Regards Duke

27 more points for LeBron in the Lakers loss tonight against the Pelicans. This puts him on pace to easily break the scoring record on Thursday against the Bucks on TNT. It seemed a little obvious that this was what was going to happen and at this point he would need a monster game against the Thunder or probably an injury to keep it from happening.
I don't know if anybody aside from me saw some articles online, but aside from the Lakers, Mavericks and the Suns, the Clippers are joining the ride as well and they have a huge offer to give for the Nets just to get Kyrie Irving. I made a quick search on which players the Clippers want to trade just to get Kyrie, but unfortunately I don't see anything. Now the question is, will the Clippers trade either Kawhi or PG just to get Kyrie? Or they will give draft picks plus role players just to get him? I would be excited to see the Big 3 of Kyrie, Kawhi and PG in the Clippers. The Nets really wanted to trade Kyrie before the trade deadline (which is kind of surprising for me base on the article I read), and the Clippers are in need of a reliable point guard right now that can facilitate and at the same time, score.

I don't see either Kahwi or PG going to be traded if they are going to get Kyrie, both are untouchables in my opinion. It's probably Mann or Reggie Jackson and throw Norman Powell in the discussion as well and then probably future picks. Speaking of the Clippers, they have a huge win against the Knicks in OT and Powell had a poster dunk against Julius Randle. And he had a good game with 24 points to help them to get this win.

There is a tremendous pressure for this kid to play good because of his father.
No doubt about that I really wish Lebron to stay put and wait for Bronny to be the one that could get him inside the NBA and with no help from his dad, because his younger brother is getting massive by the time he may have entered the NBA, that means he and his brother may likely clash inside the NBA for sure, or for some reason may become a brother rivalry, but for me, I think Bronny James instead of imitating his father Lebron James he might be caught Stephen Curry's cooking moves, I have seen some of his play imagine a Stephen Curry that can dunk with that kind of flight maybe Bronny James could be, and Stephen Curry is not really number 1 in the draft pick he is number 7 I really think that Bronny James doesn't need to be number 1 in the Draft pick and Lebron is not pressuring him to be aswell so I think the kid is just enjoying himself, Kyrie said he will re-sign with the Nets in the summer. Kyrie also said he will stay with Durant for the rest of this season.

That is full of lies from Kyrie Irving himself surely he is just saying that to peace with the fans and the Nets management but seriously they got 12 consecutive wins before Kevin Durant got the injury, I really think they are doing great their team also sits on the number 4 spot, I think just managing their position for the all-star is enough and then making the team ready for the championship that is the right thing to do because the Nets, in my opinion, is a formidable opponent right now, they are really doing great but for some reason another mind changing things happen well, I think Kyrie Irving is puffing shrooms for getting his mind change so fast, But yeah it is better for the Nets to get a player that is winning to play for their team defensively than adjusting to Kyrie Irving's mood swings, but this may also cause a domino effect remember last time before the season started when Kyrie Irving requested for a trade then Kevin Durant also requested for a trade,

Keep your Thursday night free. It will most likely be LeBron’s historic evening.
No need to force it against the Thunder. Just put the game in a blowout score and then rest to be prepared for the game against the Milwaukee Bucks. 15-20 points will do, then the next 20 will be an easy one especially if they are playing against a competitive team. 37 points to go. Jamal Murray is cooking. Vintage Jamal, the one we saw in the bubble. 41 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists. 7/12 in 3-point line, 15/24 field goals. Superbly amazing. He silenced his critiques once again, they all thought the old Jamal won't be back anymore after the injury but now he proved his consistency by being back and more. He had been the offensive weapon of the Denver Nuggets in their last 4 games scoring 22, 32, 33, and now 41 points. But it doesn't mean Jokic is getting buried, he also recorded another triple-double 14/18/10, and that is his 9th in their last 11 games. Superpowered Nuggets will be difficult to defeat.

LeBron only needs to score 36 points to break Kareem's record and become the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. By the way, the schedule notes that the game against the Thunder will also be broadcast on TNT. So I wouldn't be surprised if LeBron can break that record during the game against the Thunder, as 36 points per game is not a tough task for him. In any case, the lucky ones are those fans who will be in the Lakers arena and will be able to see this historic moment live.

OKC though is a very hard match up for the Lakers, so they could spoil history by beating the Lakers even if Lebron go 36+ points to break the record hehehe. So we will see, it's good that it will be broadcast on TNT and I guess it could be one of the most watch game in NBA not just in the arena which the tickets astronomically multiplied many times because everyone wanted to be part of this great history as most of us didn't see Jabbar playing in his prime and setting this records. In any case there is a good bet on Lebron's breaking the record as per Stake
