Whether God exist or not, i think its good to have someone to count on beside the scientific prove of his existence. It's psychologically helpful so i think why not believing in God? Except you have mastering yourself and your mind, i think you don't need a specific role like God to rely on. I think God, religions, etc are just a mindset. This is why prayers often works. You pray, you believe, you're a bit optimistic of that, and your mind-that mindset will make you prayers come true (of course, not all) just like the placebo effects.

imo- we human are always chasing perfection. But because we realize we are not perfect, we can't be- we make one. I think belief, or faith, or religions should be more like individual spiritual journey between you or whatever/whoever you believe though most of religions asked us to "share the good news and gain more worshiper". Okay if you think so. But imo it's not about the prayers it's about the individu. Praying or not if you're an ignorant person then you are.

also if you study science, etc etc - just like believers - or not- you can be overconfident too, feels like you know much, smarter than the others.

So i think you can't judge a person by amount of books they have read, or whether they go to chruch or not it's none to do with it.

Wisdom and knowledges can be everywhere not just books. Experiences i think is the most common. And experiences means everything you have been through consciously or unconsciously. Spiritual or scientific.
