@notbatman

You don't seem to be getting it. When you solo mine, the difficulty is the total network difficulty. (~84T for ETC right now). For a rig that gets 180MH/s, it would take on average (84 * 10^12) / (180 * 10^6) = ~467 000 seconds (or 130 hours or 5.5 days). That is an average and it depends a lot on luck...so you might find nothing for 11 days, and then all of a sudden find 2 in a row.

You will not find any shares unless you find a share that finds a block. Therefore you will not see an average share difficulty or best share found until you find at least 1 block. If you do find a share, you can be assured the difficulty of that share was equal to network difficulty (84T). You can see network difficulty here: http://etcstats.net/

No need to see share difficulty in the miner when you can just check it with a browser any time you want.

You're the one who doesn't get it, I'm simply asking for the same information cgminer provides.

In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Having Problem with my rigs someone plz help

Stale share is getting really high since yesterday. it use to be 7% now is 36%

i haven't change anything it just jumped.

use to be on ethermine

i switched to ethpool improved but still 25% stale average.

i run 10 Rigs in total

8x GTX1070 rig x7 windows

8x RX580 4G rig x2 SMOS

8x GTX1080Ti rig x1 windows

all rigs are using claymore 9.8

All rigs with problem? They are using the same internet?

High stale is often an internet problem (high latency, missing packets).

And I'm simply telling you that cgminer is connected to coinotron pool with a share target of 320. It is not solo mining, has found no solo blocks, and has no relevance to anything.

I recently registered at the forum.
Perhaps this question was asked earlier, but he is very interested in me:

1) Is it possible to hide the text for dual mode, for the second coin.
2) It is possible to deduce the speed of a hasht only total (not for each map as it is now).

Thank you for your help.

The difficulty will NOT go down as there is a "ice-age difficulty bomb" in place - "it's programmed to raise difficulty exponentially".
Difficulty does not only depend on the hashing power but also on the number of blocks mined and times passed since the last update.
Difficulty bomb graph: https://etherchain.org/charts/difficultyBomb
Difficulty calculation: https://gist.github.com/CJentzsch/c78768f9837afb8eef74

The real question is knowing how many difficulty bombs will we have to face before ETH transitions from PoW to PoS... Huh

It is a single bomb. I have provided you the link to see all the calculations. There is not hing more to this.

I know what the ice age mechanics is and why it was created. I was referring to the complete uncertainty about the transition to PoS. ETH mining won't last for long and there is no clear timeline for the transition to occur.

Let's not forget that the whole roadmap to Casper, including the ice age bomb, was devised when ETH was trading round the $7–$8 dollar mark. The huge price rise and the tremendous expansion of the Ethereum Alliance might have changed the game completely.

To anyone interested about bombs and ETH PoS, we lately got nice update from the devs:
https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/6t56a0/important_information_from_todays_ethereum_dev/

Projected block_times, if the future bomb is not diffused in time:
Quote
   August 25th - 25 seconds
    September 24th - 32 seconds
    October 31st - 41 seconds

As you can see, the block times are increasing exponentially and by October 31st, it would take 41 secs to mine 1 block of 5 ETH, meaning we would earn approx half of what we do today. (Not taking into consideration any new miners coming on board which also drives difficulty up).

Thank you!

ETHman cannot not be tested by ping, as these 2 services are using different protocols.
It is like checking whether you have a petrol in your car by putting a probe into windscreen water tank.
If you see the water, then the only thing you can be sure  of is that your you still have a car Wink
Instead of ping you should check whether the port is open on certain IP, probably by using a telnet based services.

I'm simply asking for the same information cgminer provides, you could can just cut & paste -ck's code to save time. The difficulty of the shares found and the difficulty of best share found is absolutely invaluable information when mining.
edit:
Let me give you an example, I mine RANDOM_DAGGER_COIN  on a pool for 24 hours. The pool says I found 0 blocks but the miner says my best share just fell short (300G but I needed 305G). I now know that I'll be able solo mine a block within 24 hours if the network hashrate drops just a bit.
The thing is you see blocks come in groups though, not only will I mine at least 2 blocks in 48 hours (with slightly lower network hashrate) I'll mine 3 then I'll jump back on the pool. If the blocks didn't come in groups then they would be evenly spaced out at predictable intervals i.e. not random.

Ok I understand your point of view. Instead of correct calculations based on target diff and miner speed, you take best share for 24 hours and think that you can reach this target for next 24 hours. It's wrong in general, but I won't argue, your approach can work with some probability. I can add the info you need, but I will have to change all GPU kernels because they don't return share diff, so I won't do it just for you, sorry. Also I think ccminer will not show the best share until you find at least one share, if so, in solo mining it will not show the info you want too. I can make GPU compare diffs of all hashes to find the best and return best value even if this value is less than share target, but I will not do it because it's additional and useless work for GPU.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

It losts connction from time to time, most of the time it is connected. If you are so smart then give advice on problem, if not, just walk by, you haven't been asked for useless "iam so smart and funny" comment ...

You had questions "what else can I check?" and  "any idea?".
You had been given explanations, ideas and advise what else you should check.
You did not ask to fix a problem for you!!!
You did not thank, more over you trolled.
Not gonna help you further and will ignore all your future posts.
That is your choice.

Real RX Vega reviews are showing up, After overclocking, they get about 40mh/s with reviewer drivers.

Also quite high power usage.

Sell your rig, mining is not for you.
You are very helpful. Thank you! Keep doing this!
After this:
****TRASHY HACKER LINK REMOVED****
I am ok again.

You're a newbie with 2 posts recommending a post from a newbie with 13 posts who is offering a hacked version of AMD drivers.

RISK level 1000%

Don't download software from unknown sources. Don't listen to newbies with only a few posts.  Chances are you are going to download a trojan or virus.

There's nothing wrong with the DAG patch that he was referring to. What's your problem? heard word "hacker" too many times for your own good?
I wouldn't bet on this.. or at least until after the official driver with DAG fix is released. If you install a kernel mode driver, you wouldn't know if it's a 0 day vuln until it's activated. And if I was the creator, I would wait activating it when it will be pointless for people to install it any more.

Actually it shows, even if it not equally or below net diff. And if your best share above net diff or equally it's became A:1 (accepted) sometimes is not (orphan and etc)

Quick checking ccminer sources shows that GPU does not return the lowest hash value for nonces that were checked, so miner cannot show "best share" until at least one share is found. For solo mining it means that you won't see "best share" until you find a share that can solve the block, which may take a very long time.
Anyway, I will not argue, may be ccminer is better for solo mining, or for any kind of mining. However, I'm not going to change GPU kernels to get additional data about hashes that were checked because I still think it is useless work.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.
