I'm still running mechanical miners.
My secret is tapping into bio engines for power.

I get about 1 Gh/s per gram of gerbil food/day.
It took a while to smooth out my system but once I designed power wheels that self adjusted for the pregnant gerbils, my farm stabilized.

My current/only issue is with health monitoring, they don't type too well.
I had initially thought it was an issue with toenails.
My experiment with abrasive wheel surface to mitigate toenail growth and improve communication was a disaster.
I almost did not notice the pink hue of the pool water in time.

Currently running 308th generation miner.
The ASIC folks are still on gen 2-3 BTW!

KNC produces the Neptunes, puts them in their datacenter, decides to cancel the shipping of the Neptune and Titan and refund everybody with the mined BTC (legally they earned money by keeping the fiat).

I think they will ship on time too, last day of June.  They are just holding out.

But, once they did this way, virtual currrency also crake down at the same time while they claim to refound all preorders, and who lost more, deftaney not us.

There is no long term in btc mining land.  Usefullness of products are now 90 days or less.  We are less than 60 days away from when manufacturers cant even make machines that are profitable to use minus electricity, mining will be a hobby by then.

I'm continually stunned when I read things like this (paraphrased for emphasis)... "Oh but KNC are the best! I may have to wait 3 more months for the same amount of THs at a higher price. But my machine will run for 10 years."

And when that machine does finally arrive, it won't even pay for the electricity it uses after the previous 8 or 9 difficulty jumps.

Well at least by then the weather will have started to cool down and you can use your Neptunes as supplemental heat while I struggle to keep my house below 85f during the summer months. 

When people get their FREE Neptune in Sept and diff is 30 B it will ROI $500

Remember the FREE Neptune's for the B1 and B2 owners are going to be from the 3rd batch. And just like KNC has said from day one with all their Neptune batches.

The simpliest way to look at it is there is no refunds for Titan. You are basically giving your money to KNC to do whatever they want with it and you cannot get it back. That's a phenomenal risk to take.

If there are delays, then you have no way to get your money back. If they don't ship it until 2016, then there is nothing you can do.

There are already companies shipping asic scrypt miner. Take a look at their offerings. 300gh might look tempting, but not if you get it in 2016. It'll be worthless.

Think this is impossible? BFL have done this multiple times and KNC are very close friends with BFL. I'm sure KNC have being exploring the legality of missing their stated deadlines, so they probably know they can get away with it if their T&C's are worded correctly. The solution with Neptune is to offer datacentre hashrate rather than the actual goods, so they can legally maintain the customer is not losing out.

If you've kept up with this thread, it should be very obvious KNC are not a trustworthy company. You have seen the pictures of those shitty Frankenjups KNC shipped, right? And how they dealt with people, pulling out bits from their T&C's to insist they own no one anything. Many people still haven't got 3TH yet and KNC's 90 day warranty for Frankenjups is getting closer to expiring! What then??

Also remember - scrypt coins are not bitcoin. In Q3, doge could be dead and gone. Litecoin difficulty will be sky high. It's a massive gamble to lay down $10k - the same price as a btc miner - to mine coins worth only a fraction of btc value. People's trust is in Bitcoin - scrypt coins - not so much.

I say Q3 but Q4/2015/2016 are quite possible shipping dates too. If you buy into a "no refunds" product, you have to wait. KNC don't care if you make a profit. They are only interested in taking your money, fulfilling the bare minimum of their obligations and then telling you to fuck off. KNC will make sure they benefit from their technology before you do, it's obvious from building their ASIC datacentre.

In short, KNC have shown nothing but contempt for customers since last October. This year they reach new all time high of deviousness and greed. I would say it's total insanity to order a Titanic from them. They have screwed EVERY SINGLE one of their customers - new and old - with the datacentre. They are competing against the people who gave them the money to exist. The datacenter ensures that Neptune customers are going to get a very poor return on their investment.

That makes them completely untrustworthy. Your money will go to building them a scrypt mining datacentre. You will probably get a product sometime in the future, but most likely when it's no longer profitable.

And your calculations of making your money back in a month are just wrong. There is no way you can make any realistic calculation on what 300gh will be earning in September and September is best case scenario. You need to factor in you are dealing with greedy fraudsters, so September needs to become December or January or April 2015, as a factor of safety. And there is no way you can estimate what earnings will be then.

No one can stop you from buying a Titanic. Maybe KNC will ship it in two weeks and you'll earn a kazillion dollars. I'll leave it to others to convince you how great a Titanic is and how rich you will become. But from my experience of KNC and seeing how they have acted since last October, my feeling is anyone investing in it will lose and only KNC will win. It's their business, they have your money and you have zero power or rights in the deal. Caveat emptor and all that shit.

I would strongly discourage you from buying a Titan.  The likelihood of you losing a lot of money is very high. 

First of all, just think about it.  You're paying $10k.  That's 2-3x as much as a high end bitcoin miner to hash for coins worth a fraction of the value.  Right now, the bitcoin hashrate is 75,256,195 GH/s.  The litcoin hashrate is only 237,224 MH/s. You can already buy a Gridseed blade and hash at over 5MH for less than a $1000.  That's why the difficulty is rising so fast, and will continue to do so.    KnC is a very smart company as you can see from this thread.  When they complete the first Titan units they will mine with those 300MH units before they are shipped sending the difficulty through the roof.  They're selling (or sold) 2500 first batch units.  Those units by themselves will TRIPLE the current litecoin hashrate. 

That's why the Titan has a strict no refund policy.  With the scrypt asics already proliferating it's very possible these machines won't get a + ROI by the time they are released.  And when the first of these units comes online, the rest of the units will depreciate so fast it will make bitcoin mining look good by comparison
