I think people will always find a cooler name than bitcoin, but the reason why Bitcoin is number one because of being the pioneer of cryptocurrency and being adopted by majority of population of cryptocurrency.  And that is also the reason why Bitcoin is almost the best name for cryptocurrency.

I think it do not depend the name but it depend on the features and the trust on it. It is the first cryptocurrency coming to the internet and then people started to use it and then they knew that it is the most secure currency out of all other coins and so it is still No.1

There is certainly a bit of truth in what you are saying, but I would not say that it is the only reason. The general branding will make it the number one forever, that is true, and the name played a big part in this success, but that is far from being the only one. Some people think that with a ridiculous name they will attract many people if their crypto-currency is good enough, but now we haveve entered in some kind of branding competition, and people will not look at your coin if it has a shitty name for exemple.

Yes, I'm agree. That fact that bitcoin is on the first place doesn't have anything with it's name. The popularity of bitcoin made cause of it's was the new thing and first thing in the area of crypto currencies. Such new projects as bitcoin usually have a big future in the history, the same as invention of telephone or radio. Other crypto currencies are jut trying to be the same as bitcoin with the wish to repeat it's success.

Man your argument is very bad, no one cares about names. I agree it's good name but in reality the reason of bitcoon being N1 is that bitcoin was first cryptocurrency and at that time it was innovation. It's most trusted and if you look threads here, icos are invested by bitcoins, not by any other altcoins, in most cases it's like that and also there aren't any hard forks which is very important.

I think that is why bitcoin is always in the number if you are talking about in rankings because bitcoin is the first crypto release and the rest are just his children.. and for now it is hard to replace bitcoin since many companies are already invested in bitcoin and i think they don't let other to replace it because the value of bitcoin can be affected.

I could be wrong, but bitcoin will always be the first in preferences of people worldwide. It is the leader and has gain a vast user base compared to alt coins. Even the name "alt" means something alternative to bitcoin. Out of all the Alt-coins, I like Monero the best. It sounds nice in a variety of languages. Even still, it doesn't really describe what it is very well, although Monero is a very cool way of saying "money".
