Hmmm let’s watch the Kraken USD USDT pair closely.  This may explain BFX rally.

Edit:   Link to article here:  https://www.coindesk.com/tether-confirms-relationship-auditor-dissolved/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

It is fairly obvious that if Bitfinex fired the auditor, they would have said so.  Accordingly we have to assume the auditor has quit. Which probably means Tether has gone bad.  Hang onto your pants boys and girls - this could get a little volatile.

I read just now, that the 'lightning network' for BTC is now LIVE...

here is the link

https://www.finder.com.au/bitcoin-price-weekly-analysis-2018-01-28

seems sketchy as the only article I can find...do they mean just live on 'mainnet' to test
It's not sketchy at all. Most of the software has not even reached Beta version, however a lot of people are already using it on the mainnet:

800 channels: https://lnmainnet.gaben.win.

Do they have a 'timeline' or are they being the usual 'bitcoin core' coy ...about if/when/ever anything they do is 'ready' Smiley
LN developers =/= Bitcoin Core developers although some might have contributed to both. It will be ready whenever they feel it can guarantee that users won't lose any funds due to a weird bug.

Oh god why are not understanding this  Huh
People are rushing to the exit of Tether. They buy all the coinz on tether exchanges because nobody will be the one holding the tether-bags.
So in the end: Tether-exhanges will have a massive! premium to non-tether exchanges.

Yep, definitely a break to the upside. Providing it isn't false, I think next resistance will be above 14k, close to 15k maybe.

Some people are exiting Tether.  Not everyone by any means.

I do believe part of this pump is people leaving Bitfinex.  I have mostly exited Bitfinex now.

USDT momentarily dropped to 93 cents on Kraken and then back up to 97 cents. I think there must be a roaring arbitrage play going on here.

OK everybody is exiting tether, who would want this coin anyway?
But all this -fake?- ether money -if this is true -  which was used to buy BTC/crypto... 'bitfiniex shuttiing down related to corruption/market manipulation' is an article I would prefer not reading about now.
Hopefully they can stretch it out for a year or so :p

LOL

BCC diving for $10

I saw one of Trevon's videos recently where he was telling people not to panic about BCC dropping to $30. He went on to explain that all the smart people should keep buying because BCC will come back up without a doubt. I wonder how that's working out for him...

Oh, I have no doubt whatsoever that a couple pumps will be executed on this piece of shit.

Can anyone give me a hint why GDAX has been the bearish exchange the last couple of days? Could this be a signal that many of their users are making their exit via fiat? Coinbase can be a rather convenient way to do this.

Maybe because some futures depend on it?

Crypto is full of dumb money that doesn’t understand that the auditor quitting means Tether is swimming naked.  I am starting to think this is not a big enough catalyst to cause the herd to run to the exits.  Or maybe this is a slow trickle leak in the dam face, who knows.

I'm glad a never traded in USDT  - but thinking about getting in for the arbitrage - maybe a bit risky though...
