While we patiently wait for a block, this is an interesting read:

Faster SHA-256 ASICs using carry reduced adders
https://bitslog.wordpress.com/2015/02/17/faster-sha-256-asics-using-carry-reduced-adders/

Definitely some interesting speculation there.  The author needs to hire an editor, though Smiley

Average expected results is 1 in 2^32 (~4 billion) tests and each result is checked - so no problem with returned results.

The missed results will show up as a drop in performance ... and that's easy to spot also ...

p2pool just dropped below 1PH  Sad

is it normal for predicted payout to cut its self in half for seemingly no reason?

The way I understand it, yes as it all depends on how many shares you find and replace as the older shares fall off. If you find more shares it can go up as well.

The problem right now is as the pool goes longer without a block, miners are moving off which lowers the hash rate which is just going to make it harder to find a block...

Seen this happen on other pools

It wasn't that long ago that someone stated here something to the equivalent that most miners won't tolerate a week long block on p2pool.

I do think this is the beginning of the end of p2pool.

I could not of said that better Jonnie

Ok one question.  What are other people seeing the efficiency for share on there node?  Mine runs between 15-20% mostly staled shares and every once and a while a single orphaned share.  Was just curious if that's the average most have been seeing lately, the longer the node is running the numbers get better. Was thinking about going to a SSD drive but that's down time and cost.

Pear shape looser. that what all you are.. Im making money at the other sites, wile you guys wait for block.. By the way guys have you notice that the pool is under 1phs... lmao
