I made a request for a refund on the form for all of my chips in batch#5 and batch#6. I only received a refund for batch#5 chips and none for batch#6. Did anyone else only get a partial refund in a similar manner?

Nice seeing those photos, but was there really any doubt that Steamboat was anything other than an honest guy ? Either way, nice seeing this stuff, and here's hoping he gets some chips in this week after Zefirs batches shipped.

Glad to hear you received a refund for batch #5, any idea of when you made the request?  I made a request a day after receiving the form, but since I had two different signed addresses for two orders, it might have gotten snagged in the refund system when I submitted the subsequent form.  Hope you receive word on your batch 6 refund soon.

I made the request within 4-6 hours after receiving the email. The number of chips I ordered in batch#6 was quite big and maybe this is causing logistics problems.

People seem concerned, there are a lot of refunds to get to, SB isn't just going to do a dozen or so refunds and disappear. Or at least his behaviour so far has not indicated that he will renege.

Granted it would be nice to have some communication, but the updates so far have been more or less adequate. His lack of presence does not directly imply a negation of his previous statements.

Given the number of people who have foamed at the mouth and threatened legal action on these boards over the past couple of weeks, it wouldn't surprise me if some or all of SB's replies are being filtered through legal counsel, which of course takes time (and money, unfortunately for him).

It would also explain the third person verbiage in some of his larger posts.

That would make some sense, yes. It would probably be sensible for him to assume some level of protection.

On another note, I have to come to the conclusion that Yifu coming clean about what actually happened at his end would completely discredit him concerning these delays. Which leads me to some further unnerving conclusions.

Despite my confidence in receiving some refund, I would still like to make use of the parts paid for, which feels beholden to the next gen chips. I have no reason to believe that they will be backward compatible other than blind faith.

At what difficulty will k16 boards not cover the electricity they use, at, say, $0.05, $0.10, and $0.15 per KWHr and current bitcoin price?

I am trying to figure out why everyone seems so sure they will never pay for themselves...

Does that tell you the actual difficulty at which your electric cost matches what you bring in?

As so far all those calculators have seemed to do is go running off into the future with imaginary increases of difficulty.

There was a thread that showed for some kinds of hardware the actual difficulty where you are only just covering electricity but I don't think it listed the K16 boards.

Of course if you project exponential anything - compound interest, basically - forward it all blows up, duh, malthus figured that out long ago. So what.
