Watch the email be something like, "We're mining with the batch 1 Baby Jets right now, and we don't feel like shipping them to you. So instead you are going to be getting a full refund in USD!!! We basically just used you to fund the development so that we can mine ourselves. Thanks a bunch!"
What are you guys talking about in that super secret badumba meeting right now, dear? Are you having a laugh every time someone posts here?

If that is true, I'm sorry, i'm genuinely sorry, but i really can't believe anything you say, there are too many coincidences.

The time for speculations is over. I'm looking forward for the facts.

Good news everyone, we've all been upgraded to free hosting.

The units will be held in HashFast's state of the art datacenter, and are already mining for us on Eligius. Merge mine a bunch of Alt Coins, pay on invalid and orphan blocks, and only a 98% fee for administration.

I've just realised how lucky Cointerra is. With this kind of competitors, they will become the real oligopoly - what Avalon couldn't do.

He is doing the kind of trolling required to have people in this thread to start to think by their own.

Really? They are in their own pile of shit. Only customers were appeased by added hashpower. Well see what happens when they don't ship in January. That thread will mirror this one.

My pleasure, you deserve it. Orders of magnitude better than Ice.

You could be right, yes, but the difference is that CT customers already paid 3$/GH (since that we don't know when they will actually deliver our MPP, we can't say that we paid 3$/GH). I also think that they will handle the matter in a more serious way. They will not update the ToS to scam their customers, their marketing dep doesn't come right out of the porn industry, they will do what they can not to screw them, etc.

We will see, but i really think that CT will be fine.

That could explain their choice of vanity address:

Dear Customers,

Our apologies for not communicating more often these past days. We have been going all-out on production in order to ship Batch 1 units by December 31.

We have enough GN chips in hand for all Batch 1 orders.  We also have enough hardware (boxes, cooling systems, power supplies, etc.) on hand for all batch 1 orders.

We are in the final stages of production.  Our initial modules (Rev 0) had reliability issues due to the PCB layout (Printed Circuit Boards).  We received Rev 2 PCBs this morning and they are currently being assembled.

We expect these rev2 PCBs to work well, and to begin bulk production and be on track to ship batch 1 orders December 31.

The remaining steps (assembling the modules into the Sierra or Baby Jet chassis, packaging and shipping) are quick and generally very predictable process.

Please know we are doing everything possible to get you your orders as soon as we can.

We will  update you with our progress as it happens. Stay tuned to Twitter and our HashFast Blog for the most up to date news.

Many Thanks & Happy Holidays,

The HashFast Team

Interesting.. the West coast got an email before we did here in phili... are they printing out the packets and 'shipping' them?

.....like how long does it take to bulk email less then 500 emails?

Well that explains the eligius mining. They are probably using those rev1 modules.

They are sending the emails in batches of ~100 alphabetically.  I know this because they used the To... field instead of the BCC... field and I now know all of the C-G email addresses of their customers.

Nice work Hashfast, way to fail at email.

I dunno, but I wish they were a bit more specific and careful with their wording:

" and to begin bulk production and be on track to ship batch 1 orders December 31"  This makes it sound as if they will actually ship ON the date of Dec 31, and not before. Should I just assume they will ship early. I dunno, but making assumptions with hashfast is a dangerous game.

Also no info regarding power consumption, chip efficiency;anything technically useful. I guess we will find out Dec 31...or will we Wink

Well if that is the case that would explain why I got the e-mail so early. My name starts with an "A" - first name at least. Yeah I would expect them to use some sort of mailing list system - autoresponder etc.
