Ok, so let me get this straight.

A company says "we will offer you a full btc refund if we fail to ship" and you are saying I should not expect them to live up to that? Why should I expect something other than that which was advertised?

it depends WHEN to expect them to live up to that. i can see that you bought the BJs in expectation to trigger a BTC refund past 31. dec.

but i say its naive to expect them at this BTC to be able to buy back enough BTC to offer refunds for their batch#1 customers. those BTC are effectively gone.
advertised or not doesnt matter, no BTC is being sent from heaven for being advertised for sometime in summer.

So what is your position within the company to make statements on their behalf?

lol! tinfoil incoming.

Quote
If they don't have the funds, I would be very happy. If this company declared bankrupcy their mask would go up for auction. I would be more than happy to take access to the mask in exchange for 61 BTC.

that COULD be an option, but i doubt that anyone will have their hands on those masks anytime soon. in summer/fall 2014 those masks wont be worth much imo. and that would mean that the court is REALLY fast. more realistic would be 2015 and then you can wipe **** with those masks.

I wonder what the argument would be if the price of BTC had tanked?

Would anyone be complaining about refunds in USD?

Or would we all still want lower value BTC in return?

ask and answered upthread...  btc back.. no matter the price.

Hypotheticals won't get us anywhere... but I can speak honestly, if they offered to cancel the order and return exactly what I paid... I would consider myself made whole.  Regardless if BTC dropped down to $1 and I was essentially only going to get back $60 worth of value.  I paid 60BTC... if they return 60BTC, I consider the deal done.  If someone paid in USD, I would expect them to return the same USD as well.

13. Offering and Sales Amounts
Total Offering Amount    $641,643    USD
or          Indefinite
Total Amount Sold    $641,643    USD
Total Remaining to be Sold    $0    USD
or          Indefinite

Wonder who bought out half a million dollars of equity in the company in late June? Guess it doesn't matter really except that they had some funding prior to getting orders from us.

Maybe its this guy?

I wonder if you would still be in here throwing hypothetical arguments if hashfast would have not blatantly lied, false advertised, and actually delivered a product instead of bending their customers over a stump and saying "GO ON, SQUEEEL LIKE A PIG BOY".

I ordered because I was promised a full BTC refund. I don't care if the value of BTC is 0, I expect my BTC back as was promised and stated.

I likely would.  I ordered under the exact same pretense.  I have to reread my saved ToS from the time of the order to check on the other details.

I'm starting to think that they're not doing this intentionally. We're entering Mr. Bean territory. No one can intentionally fail this bad. They saw BFL and thought.... DOUBLE IT!

Whenever i enter a hashfast thread i envision the circus music playing.

I DID NOT BUY A BJ TO GET A REFUND. WHY WOULDN'T I JUST KEEP THE BTC? I YIELD MY NAME TO YOU GOOD SIR! I bought a BJ as I was expecting delivery in October as was originally stated and advertised as such. I can accept delays, but it has become abundantly clear that they were no where near ready, or even within the same universe as "ready", BACK WHEN THEY WERE STILL TELLING US THEY WERE "ON SCHEDULE" FOR OCTOBER DELIVERY. I expect them to live up to it when the refund deadline has passed on Jan 1, as was agreed.

man, you dont get it do you? i dont question or do care about your decision making process that brought you into this situation. the point is: you are demanding a BTC refund. and as a sane person can easily understand by plain logic thats simply not possible given the current BTC price. is that so hard to get?!

you sound like a little child that isnt able to accept that santa claus isnt real.

Tin foil? You are making statements saying I should not get a BTC refund.

tell me WHERE did i say that you should not get BTC refunds?!!!

of course after 31.dec you SHOULD get them. i just say stop whining and learn to accept realities. thats all. even if they wanted to they possibly just couldnt BTC refund, period.

Tin foil? (...)Do you work for them?

yes, stupid lame tinfoil.

I just like how these go together

eh, you are no KNC.....

 Cool  That's true...

HashFast's chips are about 3 times more powerful when compared on a GH per sq.mm basis.

HashFast is shipping with top-shelf quality Sea Sonic PSUs, so our customers won't have to put up with exploding/self-immolating units like KNC's did.

In addition, HashFast lined up an exclusive with CIARA, which means HashFast machines will be assembled and shipped with utmost expediency (no random guys helping load some random van), in professional/durable packaging.

That means double-walled boxes, so HashFast customers' hardware won't arrive broken like so much of KNC's did.

Finally, (again unlike KNC) HashFast has been working closely with ckolivas for a long time to ensure cgminer works flawlessly with our innovative new GN Protocol, Global Work Queue, etc.

3PM PST (GMT-8), DECEMBER 27TH, 2013

Dear Customers,

Our apologies for not communicating more often these past days. We have been going all-out on production in order to ship Batch 1 units by December 31.

We have enough GN chips in hand for all Batch 1 orders.  We also have enough hardware (boxes, cooling systems, power supplies, etc.) on hand for all batch 1 orders.

We are in the final stages of production.  Our initial modules (Rev 0) had reliability issues due to the PCB layout (Printed Circuit Boards).  We received Rev 2 PCBs this morning and they are currently being assembled.

We expect these rev2 PCBs to work well, and to begin bulk production and be on track to ship batch 1 orders December 31.

The remaining steps (assembling the modules into the Sierra or Baby Jet chassis, packaging and shipping) are quick and generally very predictable process.

Please know we are doing everything possible to get you your orders as soon as we can.

We will  update you with our progress as it happens. Stay tuned to Twitter and our HashFast Blog for the most up to date news.

Many Thanks & Happy Holidays,

The HashFast Team

Why do consider that interesting?

Because I was under the assumption that they did have an outside investor.

Well SEC filing always means an outside investor.  Raising funds from internal sources (employees, founders, etc) requires no Reg D exemption.

It looks like they added a lawyer to their team on Dec. 13th.

This isn't a positive sign.
