Wow, did you really think that making a translate of any whitepaper is a contributing to a forum? Hard to say this but it is not. You only contribute for the bounty that has a chance of scamming people and you did that because the money staked on the job. Devoted trader? I guess you are here only for the insight of other traders because all people before me already checked your posts history.

I cant believe i met the day when people saying they are contributing while they only do something for their self and the money.

You seem to love misreading my posts and leaving the research for others to do. Where did I say I was contributing with my translations? I simply asked why I was called a pest when I was not the one spamming all over forum for a tiny profit. And just so you know, I joined forum a year ago. Back then it was a circle jerk about hodling and wild guesses on what the next price would be. So I am sorry you seem to think anyone who is not part of your special little non-bounty club is a parasite, but bounties have made this forum more exciting and fun. And I know there are spammers and annoying people  but that does not apply to everyone who does bounties. I help out new users, I share news, I share ideas. And I reaaaaaally do not care for the smerit of an edgy tween. I just pointed out the flaws in the system itself when applied to the bounty community.

...
And I say community but I can also say group or collective, if that soothes your salty heart. I was just using that word to refer to them for grammatical logic.

I dont need to add or repeat any of TryNinja and iasenko words in before this post and i dont know which of your posts is helping or giving some ideas to others.

To be frank, it is this forum that made the concept of bounty is here right now, without this forum, there will be no place that can make the bounties has the chance to be successful because they build their community here (some on other platform, but you got to admit this forum make it the biggest because it gives people works and money), so it is not the other way around like you had stated in your post. Without this forum, bounties are nothing, like, why the hell they advertise so much in this forum like making signature etc, because they know doing ads in this forum gives them money.

Well, there is nothing wrong on wanting to earn a few bucks on the side by joining a campaign, but the forum has set the rules and you need to play by the rules. No matter who you are. Simple as that.

Blah blah blah chipmixer signature campaign insert blah blah paid avatar

Blah blah blah look at my signature blah blah blah bounty hunters are trash blah

blah blah blah I also use signature campaign blah blah blah

If you actually took the time to read my posts you would know I gave an idea, and it does not matter if good or bad, I tried. And thats all you should expect of me. My idea was to have advertisers pay a certain fee to bitcointalk in order to publish their bounties. This would help keep out the scammers/spammers/trash. And at the same time help this site. I also feel sorry for the scammed because I know what it feels like to translate 50 pages for nothing. A whole week gone. But thats not the issue. Nor are the rules of this forum. ALSO every single one of you has a signature and an avatar, you hypocrites. Merit is a broken system for circlejerking divas. Bounty hunters that create content or use their skills in other various ways shouldn't have to brownnose and or pay forbidden services to get smerits in order to justify the validity and the quality of their bounty services nor does that make them parasite members who contribute nothing... Bounty is a part of bitcointalk and if you don't like it, feel free to write about it on your tumbler. So if you have no more arguments and no more answers, please stop spamming your bs on this forum. Because I am done. This convo is going nowhere. A fools paradise is a wise mans hell.

Bounties made this forum a far shittier place than it deserves to be. Even without a financial incentive it would be quite horrible given the inherently anarchist nature of crypto. But when you start paying people to post their shit it becomes a mind-numbing stream of meaningless drivel.

It is funny when you say " bounty is part of bitcointalk forum", yes it is, but if you follow the logic then you need to play by the bitcointalk forum rules since bounty is the part of the forum.Let me get you another simple example, a college fraternity is a part of a college then they must play by the college rules, not the fraternity who get a special rules by the college. You ca say that bounty is part of this forum but your logic is upside down man.

The rule is simple, merits for quality posts and needed to rank up and join a campaign. It is a hard earned resources. I, LoyceV and iasenko play by the rules by making a contributions to get the merits and allow us to be in a campaign. That is not hypocrite. Once again your logic is failing you as human.

I already don't like the way clicking on +merit takes you away from the thread.  Can you please have it open in a new window?
Vod, it is a very good and short comment, but 45 merit I find a bit exaggerated. The only reason why so many Merit have happened is that the post is just at the beginning. Am I right there?

The number of Merit earned by a post depends on the number of people that read it. Being at the beginning of this thread means many people have seen it, which increases the chance of getting merited.

And the comment is on point and represents many of members opinion, so i guess it is a well deserved merit for the post. You can be on the first page but people still can find your post is not meritorious enough.

And also due to the fact he is well known member on this community. Grin

I doubt that some random people will get that much amount of merits for a short comment even it is worth to read in that thread.

After analyzing the question i think that the new rank and merit is must because even in companies there are different ranks and positions according to the ability and qualification of a person but in this case the person is not promoted from the rank of legendary member which a investor can get after getting 1000 merits.Actually the promotion of a investor is necessary as the 2000 merits gets completed and for. this purpose the need for new rank or position get generated. Moreover there some other things are also there such as when the original poster of the post shared his or her merit with the other person is it lead to deduction in the merits of those person who post first and then share and is there any security regarding buying and selling of send able merits and any protection from the hackers that the same time.

It's more that it was the beginning of the merit system, where people were playing around with it and perhaps didn't yet realize the importance of merits.  There's no way in hell that even Vod would receive that many merits if he made that post today.  In January, people were doing exactly what you saw on the first page of this thread--showering well-known senior members with merits.

Things settled down pretty quickly for whatever reason, and then the sMerits started drying up.

That font is annoying, BTW.

I am two weeks away to be a Full Member, but now I'll have to collect 90 merit to deserve this rank. I'm a bit confused but I totally understand the system. I hope that now the forum will be with less shitposts.

Personally, I will not change my manner to participate here. I'll continue to post quality messages. If I get merit points : good ! If I don't get them, it's not a biiiiig deal, I'll wait. And I will give my sMerits without being manipulative. I hope that everyone will think like me. Let's be positive guys.  Grin

I noticed a lot of accounts with exactly the right amount of merit, and exactly the right amount of posts, full member, about a year old or so.  A hundred merit is almost one per post, so I click on posts an it's just a sea of good luck on your project, and this is amazing, can't wait till the changes are implemented, etc.  It feels like someone is manufacturing these for signature value.  You have 12 merit, I have 2 merit, most of my posts are paragraphs with lots of thought put into it, so their accounts are considered of higher quality.  I don't know what is the harm of just letting everyone have a sick signature, and than when advertisers buy signature campaigns they can pick based on some quality attributes, length of posts, merit score, rank, etc.  This way everyone can link something they are passionate about, your favorite dice site, new coin, etc.  I'm not too upset by it, would be cool to put a nice banner up for something, but I know for a fact I will never ever hit 100 merit, simply impossible.  Doesn't matter how many posts and how good they are, it will never happen.
Edit: I see now new people can buy copper and have images, that's pretty cool, I can just do that if I really need a banner.

What I can say about Merit is that it cemented the users' statuses from the days it was implemented.
While it's still not hard to become Member or Jr.Member, it's very hard to advance for higher ranks.

That's sad, as for me it looks almost impossible to become Hero Member or Legendary..
But what merit did is really implemented differentiation - now when you see Hero Member or Legendary you know that they are long time in crypto area (as to get that status they had to be for more than 1 year here before the merit implemented)

The only thing I would like to suggest is may be more Merit can be generated and distributed?

You don't have to be "in crypto" to become a legendary. Reading many of the bounty hunters posts, I'm not sure that they even know the difference between crypto and fiat. Well maybe they do, but only at the level that you don't get fiat air drops.

Yes, I agree, but if somebody is Legendary bounty hunter it means that he or she is in bounties a way before it became mainstream.
Is it definitely better than newbies? Yes, sure, such Legendary bounty hunters can receive x4-10 more than Jr.members or Members, only because of status. So that's good for them for sure.

But there is another way to see who is definitely not a bounty hunter, for example you have 1122 Merit, so 122+ merit after implementations. Bounty hunters rarely receive merit, so the numbers speak for themselves even without looking on the signature

Actually, he has earned way more merit than you think.

Jet Cash started out with 500 merit as a Hero Member and has therefore earned 622 merit.
