Believe me, I want to get mining. I didn't want it damaged. Thanks for taking care of this. I am sure you techs can repair it and use the power supply, but the Power supply is red, and the back of the case is so smashed in it looks like its touching the circuits and that could be why.

Received shipment.

Damaged box.  Not a lot of padding.

3 of five boards physically damaged.

Shoddy shipment!

Might be a good idea to get as many pics up showing this. This is really not good.

We're still working and shipping out over the weekend, if you haven't received a tracking number today, it may be this weeked. What's you're order number?

My Number is 1562

Probably not this weekend. We're getting several requests for rigs instead of full miners from earlier order numbers. And by default we need to meet those orders prior to later order numbers because it wouldn't be fair.

Please when you ship the new miner, please ship it to my work. I asked before and they shipped the miner to my residence. I will send another email about that.

Phinn,
Are you saing that most probably there is no Jim at all?

There was a guy in the office that went by the name Jim Brown, and even referred to Josh as his brother while we were having a smoke outside (just recalled that I probably did pen such), but I never asked for, nor seen any ID. Same true for the Rob dude that was there.

My guess is that there were both there to also act as body guards, even though I arrived alone and had no qualms with walking into some strange office late at night to meet up with three dudes, one of which probably despised my guts.

Jim Brown(?) seemed pretty healthy to me, but I guess a heart attack is possible if one consumes too many Red Bulls. For some reason I don't believe the clan does drugs, so maybe be able to rule that out.

That said, I'm leaning heavily toward this being a ruse.

Whatever the case it still does not release them from the obligations of what they have already stated. I am expecting a tracking number myself today as it is the end of the week (work week).
While I wish Jim well, there are other people in the company who can handle whatever it is needs handling. I think people would be more forgiving if it was a solo operation or the first time there was a delay. But that is not the case.

We're still working and shipping out over the weekend, if you haven't received a tracking number today, it may be this weeked. What's you're order number?

#1493 I sent out an email less than 2 hours ago.

If you'd like we can have some reach out to you and try and walk you through setting it up over the phone. Don't know who is available at 8pm on a Friday but we'll check.

Hey, have someone call me. I was told by josh there would be a video on-line tonight showing how to set up the kit. Since there were no instructions that came with the kit.

This is ridiculous. I received my miner yesterday, with no instructions, and only god knows if anything was missing. I mean I know for a fact it is missing the networking cable that you stated was going to come with it, but who knows what else.

I detailed what is showing when I try to launch the miner can you comment on just what the hell might be going on? I don't pay 5795 for a raspberry pi , so if you could do some explanation or post a damn set of instructions to your website. Or e-mail them to me. I'm going out of town as of this weekend and I'd like to have my miner up and running by then. So what are the chances you can give us some help here?

AMT_miners I am going to need to give you an alternative address, the one I asked you to ship it to but did not. (my workplace). Is there any way I can give you that address instead to pick it up? Also, they left this miner on my step without me signing for it.

Yes, please send over the alternate address and we'll arrange a fedex pickup from that location. Again apologies for the shipment, we'll rectify this situation with a new machine asap. This really is the first time we've seen a miner have that damage.

Glad I emailed Alyssa about making sure it goes to my business. Gave her the address again just in case but is also stated on my account dashboard.

Um, please do make sure of that. As like many there is no one home except for my parrot during reg work hours. (remember those?) Okay, so most prob don't have a 35yr old parrot but still Wink  On the paid invoice she sent me for my rig it lists my home for both billing & shipping which is not right.

Works for me (3 higher than ^^). My now 1.1-1.25 TH/s Ant pharm (eating 2,496w) is tiding me over for now.

Remember, if you do use 2 PSU's... you WILL need something on both PSU's to give the PSU a 5v load. Without something on the 5v rail, the 12v rail will not have a reff-voltage to stabilize correctly.

EG, plug an old CD-Drive or Floppy-Drive or any other device into one of the standard MOLEX (four prong "oooo" cables.) For the AMT unit PSU, this would be the raspberrypi as the 5v load. For the other PSU, you will need another device. (Find a nice 5v LED-light display, and you have a cool load to light-up the cards. Tongue)

P.S. An external 12v fan, will not work, as it does not use the 5v on the molex connections, though it may have a wire on the plug, it is not actually connected to anything. (It will say 12v on the fans sticker.)

You know if you have power issues, because some boards will run at abnormal speeds. If you turn the unit off, and remove a board, and the remaining boards run normal... or better... then you are running into voltage issues. The PSU is not providing enough AMPs, while it tries to maintain the correct VOLTs. (Thus, the stated above solution, or you need a PSU with more AMPs on the 12v rails, to match the cards draw.)

When buying a PSU, you want to mind the RAILs and the AMPs per rail.

+12v/+12v (2 rails) *may not be split correctly for 5 cards, 2 @ 30a each (great), 3 @ 20a each (starved)
60a/60a

+12v (1 rail) *better for 5 cards, 5 @ 24a each (ok)
120a

NOTE: Without something on the +5v load, you may only have 50-80% of that amperage on the 12v rails. Voltage will actually drop to 10.5v-11.5v once the unit starts running, on the weak rail, in a multi-rail PSU. That, or it will remain 12v, but be lower available amps then expected. Only 30a-45a per rail, in the dual-rail setup mentioned above.

That is just an example. I will know more detail about each cards individual "ideal power consumption", as my unit arrives for testing.
Good info reenforcing what was seeing as I was checking out PSU's.

For the latest PSU's look for 'certified for Haswell' and/or the equiv AMD power spec. Basically means they are just fine with no load on the 5v rails to work with the latest near-zero power cpu sleep modes.

Also again, double check the power specs vs your power line voltage. On several 'consumer' PSU's over 1,200w I saw that many (not all) only give full power when fed from 220v. Their 110v ratings are much lower. For all server PSU's over 1,200w I've looked at that is 100% the case.

Hmm. Since FedEx accepted the package then technically they should be responsible for the damage.

No. They have guidelines on how to pack a shipment. If those guidelines are not followed, they will not reimburse damages. See if you can find AMT's packing method in the guidelines: http://images.fedex.com/us/services/pdf/packaging/Computer_fxcom.pdf

yep. 6 Antminer S1's OC to 190GH/s, often peaking for a while @ 419w each, usually more around 390-400w each.

Do gotta say that '190' is a low spec. Depending on what each are chewing on actually is more like 200-203 GHs, sometimes as much as 210, sometimes as low as 170, never all exactly the same. Still, more than paying for their feed several x over and on-target for my ROI.

So folks, while AMT's A1 rigs may be hungrier than expected it is still a lot less than the current alternatives.

Yep. The FedEx info looks exactly like what we do for our equipment...

The completed rigs should have been just repacked into their original antec boxes. And then packed into a separate larger box. That is Fedex's recommendation apparently. I still haven't gotten an answer regarding my miner or arrangement to go pick it up. I emailed as requested more than once just to insure someone got it. But no reply yet.

Hopefully over the weekend I hear something. I am trying to make arrangements to go get my hardware. Since it would be nice to have it intact. I prefer to go do a pickup than have to deal with the risk of it getting packaged badly and showing up damaged. Just more wasted time on dealing with that.
