See this post for jumpering your power supply, I use another solution to do this as I've said (but I can't find the link). Yes, as you said put the green and black pins together. If you want to just start a PSU without a motherboard, jumper the green to any black. I've done his myself to start a PSU with no motherboard, and it works.  I used a paperclip just as a temporary fix.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=31357.0

do not use a paperclip. buy a $5 power supply tester.

I intend to coarsen. I want stark contrasts drawn. I want polarization. I will not quietly accept stateism so as not to upset anyone. I am not tolerant of our impending and increasing slavery.

for a 2nd psu, try this

just a piece of paperclip jumpered between the green wire, and the black wire next to it.  Look it up before you proceed, i dont recall the pin #s off hand.  easy to do, and mine's been fine for months.  no heat or anything.

may i ask why u have a silica pack attached?

What happened to posting a few users' whose orders shipped tracking information here? I cannot find the post, but AMT did say they would do that. Just wondering because I have a relatively low order number and I was looking forward to something tangible that shows the actual shipments. I was not counting on it of course, but I was just wondering.

that's the twist tie that came with it.  never bothered to untwist the power connection, thus leaving the silica pack.

basic laziness.

exactly!  out of the box, paperclip in place, powered on.  why do the extra work of undoing the factory bundle job on the cable, when it wouldnt need to be extended.

bitcoin is well on it's way to fulfilling your wishes.  dropping like a rock, and will probably go lower once the chinese read the latest news, about the govt going after exchanges and what "nut" on top of the bank restrictions.

What's he looking at anyways?

I think he might be eyeing the light bulbs above, thinking about a way to steal them on his way out of the glamour shots office.

yes, very easy to change pools to mine alts.   that's all ive been doing with my 80gh rig.   if i were to mine btc directly, i wouldnt make enough to cover electricity.  you can do it directly in the config file via ssh, or the easier preferred method is via the management web page.

On the topic of mining bitcoins, it's not like only a few people have bitcoin asics, hundreds of thousands of people have these bitcoin boards. If it ever went so low there was no profitability, you KNOW there would be someone out there to create another coin that you could use the hardware. It's not a guarantee but that is my take. On a positive note, you could always make your own virtual currency modeled after bitcoin as well if you wanted.

pretty much.  its a daily chase to find the one alt that will actually turn a profit.  It was UNO, which took a screamin shit, then turned to Maza, Myriad and a couple of new ones that havent hit the exchanges yet.  Mine and wait for a decent price, then dump.   Or, get my .008 from eligius each day, which comes out to $3.40/day.   Yes, i have a perfectly legitimate claim to the MPP, since this thing will bring in $90/month.  I told AMT this before the rig shipped.  According to their MPP, i should have been sent a 220 or 240, or whatever it is.  Even then, i dont think it would have met ROI.

Now i'm pissed.  calmed down for a bit and didn't think about it, but now I'm back to pissed off.

Good luck to you guys getting your box of partially working parts, and no upgrades per the MPP.   What a shitty way to run a business.

Notice how AMT has not directly commented to ANY of my posts?  it's because i am right.  Everything i've stated on this forum is the truth, and they have no answer for it.

Yep, the alt coins have been my only saving grace.  Still have only managed to make back maybe half of what i paid.  Guess i should consider myself lucky for receiving "something" within a comparatively quick time period.  Albeit a month late on delivery.  Better than 2-5 months late.
