What's up with all the invalid blocks?  Seven so far today!  That's like 350 BTC that Tycho is out of pocket

Multi-sig transactions can make it easier to secure bitcoins. But this is not related to BIP16, you ALREADY can use multisigs.

Multisigs can already be used for 2-factor auth and escrow, as proved by blockchaininfo.

The solution to multi-sig transactions is to rely on a trusted 3rd party? (Blockchain.info is great, but it was recently down for almost a day. This is not a viable solution for businesses, etc.)

You don't need to rely on anyone.
Blockchaininfo just proved that you can already use multisigs. No 3rd party is needed.

Don't get me wrong [Tycho], I'm not suggesting any of the BIPs need to be implemented immediately. And of course I don't have the technical understanding of the block chain that you have. But some of your answers seem to be dodging the question.

I think that my answer about when I'm going to do this was pretty clear: when BIP16 will be supported my the majority of other miners.

Tell me how you are going to redeem a BIP16 transaction using bitcoin-qt.
Both methods aren't ready for using, but at least plain multisigs are already supported by the network.

I may be arguing semantics, but it's important for people to understand how much weight your vote carries.

My vote is not really different from other big pools' ones.
I think this discussion is not so productive. I'm not going to stop BIP16 from happening. When the majority decide to support it, it will be supported.

I would imagine that it's only a deterrent. A keylogger is the first thing to pop into my mind.

Also who's responsibility is it keep a key logging program off of my system?  Who's responsibility is it to suffer the consequences if my computing behavior allows that to happen on a system that contains a wallet?  I assume you would say it is the Bitcoin communities?!?

To answer your second question, you are responsible for anything that happens to your wallet.

Now, I say again, do we want Bitcoin to remain a niche product for computer experts, or do we want regular people to be able to use it and feel secure with their money? I'm all for personal responsibility, possibly to the extreme, but I feel Bitcoin has the potential to do some good in this world by taking control of money away from the few and giving it to the many, and I don't want the limit on potential growth to be that you must be a computer expert to be secure.

I want Bitcoin to be safely usable on the most virus infested machine you can find. We can worry about teaching people to practice safe computing later.

I apologize for being off topic as well.  But nobody seems to want to talk about this in any forum.  There will always be people who write their PIN on the back of their ATM/Credit card and write their password on their monitor.  That CANNOT be ameliorated.

So I ask again where is the security flaw in Bitcoin that requires these multisig's to correct?

Some blocks in our stats were incorrectly marked as "Invalid" today. It was caused by a failed cross-check routine and in fact those blocks are valid.

There are conscious on supporting BIP16, cause it will make bitcoin more safe.

2. I'm not acting against it and I'm not acting at all. As I already said, I'm going to start working on BIP16 when more than 50% of non-deepbit blocks will be marked with /P2SH/ steadily, so only others will decide on this, not me. Implementing BIP16 now will mean that I'm acting against the majority which is not the right way.

Yes, at this moment. Blockexplorer (the monitoring site which is linked from the date field) is currently overloaded/DDoSed, so it may show "No such transaction" for existing TXes.
You may use http://blockchain.info to check the status of your transaction. I don't know your account name, so I can't tell you if the payment is already confirmed or not. Usually it takes about 20 minutes, but in worst cases delays up to a few hours are possible.

First, you need to check if your client's blockchain is up to date. It should contain at least 166979 blocks.
If everything is OK with your connectivity you just have to wait a bit more. Since the payment is present in your account report, it was already sent to the network.

Anybody having connection problems?  I am getting really long getwork and submit times (each 300ms+) vs. typically 200ms.  Average hashrate has fallen from 4GH to around 3GH over the last 12 hours (with 3 intermittent outages having to go to backup pool).
