Number of MN growing really fast... OMG.

Yesterday I check before going to sleep it was 1996, and now :

2036 = 2034 actives + 2 inactives
I'm not sure the stimate is accurate (seam really low) :
Estimated daily payout for an active node (blocks with MN payments last 24h: 100%): 0.36 DRK/day.

If it's true the growing is quicker than the increasing of remunaration.. (next if from 35->37.5)

Yes but something wrong in his formula for the estimated daily payout :
2036 MN = 1 payment every 2036/576 = 3.53 Day.
One payment is 1.75 (min) so daily estimate should be : 1.75/3.53 = 0.49 DRK !

The estimation is indeed too low, yours (around 0.49 DRK per day) is right.

The latest results can always be found here: http://178.254.18.153/~pub/Darkcoin/masternode_payments_stats.html
They base on the same code as the darkcoin-client itself, so they should always be right.
The difficulty (which affects the result because the mining reward is based on it) is taken from the last 288 blocks (means about half a day). That's why the result is still only an estimation.

When can we expect masternode payments to return to normal?  I just saw 1 guy get paid 2x in 2 days and I'm waiting on 4+ days right now.  Everything up, did have to reindex a couple times yesterday.  Also DRK.mn showing odd payouts... Like 3 DRK but masternodes still payed at right amount.

When you look at the results from my page, you'll see that you can expect a payment about every 85 hours.

But, if there's an update, like we recently had to v0.11.0.6 and v0.11.0.7, the algorithm starts from scratch, so in the worst case (it starts right _before_ your Masternode would have been selected, and when it catches up you have bad luck and are the last one to get selected) it could be that you'd have to wait twice that time.

Happened to me a couple of times in a row (record is 7066 blocks, that's 12 days without a payment), but over time it levels out and no one has an advantage or disadvantage.

I can barely watch because of the host. I want to hear Evan, he's well spoken and easy to listen to, the bitcoin rush guy makes me want to kill myself with the way he speaks. I'd love a version where the Bitcoin rush guy is muted and replaced by subtitles.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

Happy Birthday Darkcoin, and great job to the Devs and community. p.s. I don't think Bitcoin Rush is bad at all, I think he's actually a pretty funny guy and I enjoyed watching the episode.

Yeah, he's not everyone's cup of tea!

He's not under contract, so we can choose whoever we want for the next PR effort  Wink

Just enjoy, and know that other people from outside the community will be able to watch something that really dives deep into what Darkcoin's about.

Without reading everyone else's comments yet, I think it turned out great!  Cheesy Evan looked great, and so nicely normal, contrasting BTC Rush's outlandish personality  Grin, it was a great mix IMO.  Well, now I'm off to read everyone's comments!  I wish he could have fixed that glitch in the beginning.  It would have been easier to overlook had it been at the end, because you're just getting into the show in the beginning and it's distracting, but once it got going, it was great!

Oh my, I'm so critical!  LOL, My daughter says I'm awful when she practices her violin, LOL  But in fact I LOVED  Grin it and thought it turned out almost exactly as envisioned!

I think that Evan would do better in just a straight interview scenario.
He's certainly telegenic. Articulate, smart, and that enthusiasm just shines through. I'd love to see him on something like the Keiser Report.

Wow, I didn't expect everyone to love it, as I know Bitcoin Rush is a strong personality, but this was a bit worse of a reaction than I expected.  Everyone agrees, though, that Evan was great, so that's good.

I hope more of you will post your honest reactions.  I'd like to get a good idea of where we went wrong.  I thought it went according to plan, that BTC Rush was presented with all of his personality, etc... just as he normally is, only better, IMO.  I'll say this, if you didn't know who he is, and what he does, it can be.... er... weird, LOL.  But his friendly, enthusiasticly, quirky presentation style is his biggest asset IMO.

Gosh, I'm overwhelmed with the negativity.  I thought it was a great show!  A controversial choice in host, I can agree, but I think we hit the nail on the head with execution.  Huh

Well, I guess we'll have to see if this plays out well, and spreads the word??

Darkcoin show its online:
THE Darkcoin show - featuring Evan Duffield
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzu_02-lp7o

That was one of the weirdest, creepiest things I've seen in a bit and it was 100% related to the host and the camera-switching format.
Evan though came across as a natural and was awesome! This should be a good pre-pre-precursor to Evan going live on Bloomberg TV soon.

Tao - Get Into The Dark: Spam Max and Stacey and they will get Evan on the show.

Bloomberg TV is also one to go for: I'm on it (not actually on Bloomberg TV, but gonna spam the producers with a few emails  Grin).
