Got a 8*1060 rig ewbf makes 210-240sol/s depending on PL(60-90)
Your miner makes only 116-130sol/s also depending on PL(60-90).

But with 5*1080 it is closer:
ewbf - 240sol/s
lol ~ 200sol/s

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Ah, thats interesting.
I have seen that with MNX in the past that the 1060 series reacts different to code then 1080. Good to know that this is the case here.
Can you do me a favor and delete the 144_5_NV.bin file from.the kernel dir and see again what happens? The Nvidias should then load the AMD kernel and I would like to know if that works better for the 1060 cards.

Thx for reporting!

Memo to myself: need a 1060 for testing...

Great Big News, Lolliedieb!

can't make this work though? can someone paste a BTCZ config that works? anyone?

Thank you for all of the hard work.  Anyone? Thank you, again!

If you need a one liner look to the post before yours and replace --coin MNX by --coin BTCZ next pool, port and so on... should be self explaining. Else 0.43 had a working config file for btcz if remember right.

Check out lolMiner 1.56, an efficient miner for Ethash, Beam and many Cuckoo-Cycle and Equihash variants for AMD & Nvidia cards at low fees.

Yes, thank you for responding but, I keep getting the same Error: ./user_config.json is not found or no valid configuration file (json parse fails)

Testing.  I have LOL up and running on a 4 x 570/580 rig.
Running on BTG on BTGpool.pro.
Results 4 cards averaging 88 sols total.
running from 21-23 sols per card which is equivalent to a gtx 1060 on ewbf 0.5
Not bad, not great.

Crazy thing is I cannot get it to run stable on my 6 x 570/580 rig.
Both rigs running Windows 10 update 1706.  Both are using Crimson Blockchain drivers.
Using the same configuration on both.

On the 6 card rig, LOL will start up, it will connect to pool, start job
:
I get using devince with all six
I get new target received,
i get new job received,
authorized worker,
start mining...

Followed by System restart.
I can watch the power will move up from 180, to 900 watts and after 2 seconds, crash back down and restart.
I ensured not a virus / firewall issue and created exclusion for the folder.
firing it up exactly as i do a claymore bat to ethermine, but crashes everytime.
Went back and tested on previous version of LOL and same thing.
Super odd.  I can mine other miners / bats , as well as awesome , nicehash with no issue.
Only LOL causing this.

Any ideas?
Thanks
james

miner not working

lolMiner is configured to mine Zelcash(ZEL), Equihash 144/5

And closing without errors

At that point is interesting. I will check code if we have a bug here. Can you paste me the full error message as private msg?

It would be also more informative to add time stamp.

You can add timestemps (see manual ^^)
It seems we have a bug here with multi GPU. Does this difference also exist when you use olets say only 2 GPU in one instance (--devices 0,1)

Any ideas?
Thanks
james

As mentioned above it seems that the miner does not lile too much cards... hmmm can you start two instances, first with --devices 0,1,2 and second with --devices 3,4,5? Lets see if that works. I definately have to restructure the miners main loop it seems.

Are you joking? 1060 on PL60 makes 26-27sol/s on not the best 1060.

So, I went into config and change to just Devices: [0,1,2],.  This time the miner connected and actually starting accepting shares...only recorded 1 share, it gave readout of sols twice and then system crash and reboot.  Dropping to just a single GPU for testing.

Set system to use just GPU 0 (an amd 570 4gb card)  hashing right around 20 sols, submitting and receiving shares it appears.  Seems to be running stable, avg 19.4 sols

Since my rig consists of 3 570s and 3 580s....i think i will put all 3 570s on and see if that stays stable.
- Nope, as soon as it made it to Start mining, freeze and reboot.

Tried 2 random cards, new job received twice, sol readout and crash.

Cannot seem to get more than a single card to run stable on the 6 card rig.
Thanks
James

Thanks for the miner update. it's been mining without issue for a few hours now.

 ( using my Cryptonight v1 clock settings)

5x rx580 8g 23 sols/s per card

6x rx580 8g 23 sols/s per card

13x rx570/580 4/8g 21.5/23 sols/s per card

I'm sure hashrate can be a bit higher if/when i get around to tweaking clocks.

Thank you for the update Lolliedieb!

Here the stats from a short term test with old cards (all with tweaked memory timings):
I've got like 20% more hashrate with my 290x/390x (Hawaii), they were at 22-26 sol/s before.
Sadly there is only like 5-10% gain (~1-2 sol/s improvement) on the even older 7970/289x (Tahiti) cards, but they still doing their job now at 18-20 sol/s Smiley

Average speed (90s): 30.5 sol/s | 29.5 sol/s | 31.2 sol/s | 20.0 sol/s | 28.6 sol/s | 19.1 sol/s | 28.9 sol/s | 19.8 sol/s | 31.1 sol/s | 18.6 sol/s Total: 257.4 sol/s

I also did try this miner with a 1080 ti but EWBF's miner is still better (same OC settings):
~62 sol/s vs. ~70 sol/s

So good job Cheesy
Hope the stabilty is still as good as before (or better).

I still haven't figured out how to set the api port, tryed command line and the json file (default and coin section). Can you give an json example on how to use it?

                                                                                       ./user_config.json(15): expected '}' or ','

You forgot some closing "]" and "}" at the end:

Code:
{
        "DEFAULTS" : {
       "DEVICES" : "AUTO",
       "APIPORT" : 0
},

"EXAMPLE_BTCZ" :
{
             "COIN" : "BTCZ",
             "POOLS" : [
                  { "POOL" : "mine-btcz-na.equipool.1ds.us",
                   "PORT" : "50063",
                   "USER" : "t1h7WGHNLx8hY97UerETfDPVfVj9QqNM94d.lolMiner",
                   "PASS" : "minpayout=1000" }
                                           ]
        }
}

thanks, but still nothing. but now the error number is 41 instead of 15. I even matched my v42 config and that doesn't work either.

i'd insert a screenshot but no one in this house can figure out how to do that. even the 12 year old...

update: still no v5 functioning so I went back to v42. At least it mines and the difference in hashrate is so little that I have lost everything I might have gained had I suceeded in getting v5 to run. One note for others. v42 runs 4x8gb 580s just fine. When I added 2x6gb 1060s after some struggle it would read all six cards but only 5 would mine at Very Low hashrate. I go back to 4x580s and running solid again. Disappointed why I can't make v5 work at all but sadly none of the fixes resolved the situation.

running Fedora 28, kernel 4.18.9-200.fc28.x86_64, with nvidia-396.51 drivers

When I try to start lolMiner v0.5, it bombs out:

lolMiner is configured to mine MinexCoin(MNX), Equihash 96/5
Setup Miner...
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

**the EWBF miner works without issue.

I'm just wondering what the issue might be. Is the kernel too new for lolminer, or is there something else I'm missing? I used previous versions of lolminer in the past (with kernel 4.17) without issue. Something's changed...
Any help would be appreciated.

Great work Lollie, so exciting! You've officially released the first scalable Aion 210_9 Equihash miner for AMD!

I did some windows testing with a Vega 64, currently hashing at about 155 sol/s. Still a ways to compete with a 1070/1080, but this is a great start!

Do you think there's anything to be gained by filling up the full memory capacity of the card? I noticed you mentioned that Aion only takes up 800 MB of the gpu's memory while mining.
