Any solution for
"No OpenCL devices found in your system. " ?
on Nvidia systems (Win10)

Did you verify your OpenCL config? Gpu-Z should recognize your card (Checkbox Computing OpenCL should be ticked).
If not try re-installing your GPU drivers (for Nvidia install the full package).

Does anyone have lolminer 0.5? It said 0.7 was faster so I deleted it without checking (like an idiot) and 0.7 is slower for MNX for me. Undelete didn't work, it was already overwritten.

I don’t understand why to use this miner on red ones, if these algos are for green ones ?! Even 1050ti faster than rx580. My personal opinion is that this miner is for siphoning money for the developer. Unfortunately, this miner has no competition. We would see a different speed, a vivid example of this is the lyra2z algorithm.

Anyone have this miner running on AION on older AMD cards like R9 290 or Fury? If so, any idea of hash rate?

Any solution for
"No OpenCL devices found in your system. " ?
on Nvidia systems (Win10)

Well it seems that the Nvidia OpenCL drivers are missing. In the most recent Nvidia drivers it should ship with the driver, before the OpenCL component was part of the Cuda Toolkit. Maybe a quick re-install of driver already fixes this.

Does anyone have lolminer 0.5? It said 0.7 was faster so I deleted it without checking (like an idiot) and 0.7 is slower for MNX for me. Undelete didn't work, it was already overwritten.

Oh, on what card is that? Something that should not have happened - well each card is different, the MNX part could get a big rework any ways ...
Anyways I will have a look if I find the 0.5 to upload it again.

WHAT IS THE RIGHT CONFIG? for vidulum
its done , working on zergpool
..only its disconnecting a lot, and reconnects , saying:Warning: index out of bounds

--coin VDL is the right config for it Smiley
But that reconnects should not be. Out of bounds means somehow the pool sending less parameters then the miner expects. I will have a check if there is something wrong with the stratum.

Well ... what to say about this. Nothing best.
I have to admit my code may not be fastest, but there are barely opportunities to learn from. But same way: If its slow then I do not earn any thing, because there are better things to mine, so somehow it should be fair?
I can for example say that in October and November with 144/5 and Aion together I made about 350$ - clearly because my Nvidia codes were not so quick as the closed source Cuda miners and on AMD there was no competition but better mining opportunities. So for me the 350 was kind of fair , especially when considering that I do that not full time and its more a hobby. Else I could not justify putting up to 100 hours per month into this.

Regarding the Speed: I am sure a few more % are possible, but also that its not easy to achieve it - else won't there be others trying to do it - or just do it? Devs follow the path where the money is, you saw that at gminer who gave AMD support for Beam because with that you can earn money - but are they faster? No.

I could explain why AMD does so hard at Equihash coins but that would be too technical right now. Hint: cache line size and the more difficult to make writing coalesced.

Any chance that new release will contain new asm kernels for GPUs like Hawaii ?

I can do more ASM kernels, but at the moment only on ROCm, because that allows inline asm. But not got the impression many were willing to change driver for the higher speed. Unfortunately my attempts to make same work with normal drivers failed so far - and doing that experiments took me weeks of testing :/

On 'mainstream gpu' level nVidia is superior, but the HBM/HBM2 versions of AMD cards pull their own pretty well. I got my old R9 Fury running and as long as you know what you are doing with mem/core clock and power limits you can squeeze out very reasonable hash/W. That said, nowhere near nVidia if you include hardware costs.

Well yes, Cuckaroo-29(s) is on the list of candidates, but today added Cuckatoo-31 first Wink

The parameter to use is --coin GRIN-AT31

Estimated performance of Cuckatoo-31 on some cards:

RX 580 (8G) 0.49 g/s
RX 580 (4G) 0.28 g/s
Vega 64 0.9 g/s
Radeon VII 1.1 g/s

RTX 2060 0.29 g/s (4G Code)
GTX 1080 0.75 g/s

Note: this includes cycle finding - CPU is not used for completing grin cycle finding Smiley

This is the first miner that is able to miner Cuckatoo-31 on 4G cards (although the 8G kernel is faster of cause) by using a lean and mean hybrid miner called "slean".
If you want to know how the algorithm works, watch my talk on Grin Amsterdam meetup (starting 1:14:20) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFtbVUfMYpc

Have fun mining Cheesy

I could download both files.

Link in 1st post of the topic is incorrect, found on this page though.

upd. authorization problems on Nicehash, so it won't mine Grin31... ok, that was with disabled TSL, when I switched it on in config that's what miner said:

Quote
Connected to grincuckatoo31.usa.nicehash.com:3372 (TLS enabled)
Error: Handshake failed with message stream truncated
Lost connection to stratum server grincuckatoo31.usa.nicehash.com:3372 or server not reachable.
Trying to connect in 3 seconds

Reminder to myself:
Never post a link before 2nd coffee ... narf. Did update the download link, thx for pointing that out.

Did not test nicehash on grin - shame on me

But when doing Beam I had the problem that the server was very quick with banning. For example did connect with tls on on tls off server - then my ip was already temp banned (it then worked with right settings few hours after).

I will check if they did additional adjustments for grin - the miner is tested with the regular pools (spark, btc.com and grin-pool.org).

Edit:

I checked the NiceHash specifications. They indeed made a small change to stratum. I will make that change, be back with news, soon

Hello. Thanks for new ver.)
Notwithstanding I set --devices 0,1,2,3,4,5, my first gpu doesn't start. I'm trying to mine grin on sparkpool. Could you share you afterburner settings? I'm using bc drivers on rx480. Thanks in advance)

Thx for sharing Smiley

I just updated the Linux version of the miner to 0.8.1 (Windows will follow later when back at a Windows PC to build it)

Updates:
- Added support for NiceHash on Grin
- Fixed a bug with some pool software (e.g. grinmint.com)
- Reduced number of stale shares submitted

Download:
https://github.com/Lolliedieb/lolMiner-releases/releases/tag/0.8.1

Edit: Windows version now also up to date Smiley
