It's just bad luck.  The pool has found no blocks.  It will pick up again.  It always does.   Grin

A couple days ago the luck was over 205%.  Looks like over the last 24 hours it's been about 117%.  If you've been with the pool for the last 24 hours your ahead of the game.  The bitcoin lottery probability will vary over the short term, but you're hash rate will always reward you over the long term.

Actually, compared to what some people are running, that isn't that much. But yes, i understand that it is for you. Unfortunately, Luck is Luck and it will go where it will. eventually it should all balance out.

The luck giveth and the luck taketh away.  Just look at the bottom of PPLNS stats for a graph, as well as averages for 24 Hours, 3 Days, 7 Days, 2 Weeks, and 1 Month, all of which are positive.  24 hours will probably drop negative once more shifts close, but nothing is certain until shifts are actually closed.

Well it would put him in the top ~50 right?  The pool is pushing over 3200 TH/s though so there's that.

1060 GH/s would be somewhere around #550.

Good, we have progress here. I see you have silently added the option to check luck for specific periods of time, for which suggestion a few people posted insulting comments towards me.
Maybe these same folks will come back to reiterate their opinion that this new addition is pointless and as such you should remove it.

Next step would be to add a table with proof of work for each block, so people can easily verify luck as presented by you.

This bit below:

Approximate Pool Luck* (24H / 3D / 1W / 2W / 1M): 109.645% / 119.535% / 111.778% / 106.621% / 104.274%
*Luck is measured per-shift, meaning exact cutoffs for a given time period will be missing up to 45 minutes worth of data.

You'll never have proof of work per block because the pool does not track it since PPLNS has no need to care about individual block rounds.  No matter how much you bitch, it isn't going to happen because I'm not going to add an entirely new table to the database and extra scripts to try to guess how many shares went into an individual block just to track shit for you.

If the pool luck stats are accurate, they are pretty remarkable over the last month.

Approximate Pool Luck* (24H / 3D / 1W / 2W / 1M): 107.772% / 118.783% / 111.486% / 106.586% / 104.237%

Making a new thread with that 'self moderation' feature that was added about a year ago is looking better and better.  Even ignore doesn't stop people from quoting the troll.

Crypto is always evolving and the community is very adaptive to change so I see only positive in the BTCG thread being reborn elsewhere with the 'self moderation' feature being implemented. It's a New Year so it's a perfect time for a new thread.

There's been a number of incidences over the last couple of weeks that have been quite antagonist to the pool, the pool users and the pool operator and not withstanding that it's poor form to conduct oneself like that during the season of goodwill, it's come to the stage that in my view the disharmony created is becoming 'anti-commercial' in that I'd much rather that Eleuthria was spending his time dealing with important matters concerning the development of the pool or fielding appropriate support questions than trying to 'fight fires' with 'arsonists' on this forum.

I think anyone who has spent some time as a miner with BTC Guild thoroughly appreciates the extremely high level of service and attention to detail that Eleuthria provides on an everyday basis and his efforts to blunt and quickly overcome the widespread DDoS attacks last year were quite simply outstanding.

The great thing about the phone is that if there is an idiot on the line you just hang up but with a forum people can repeat themselves ad nauseum so I'd like to strongly encourage that the 'self moderated thread' be adopted immediately and this thread locked for read-only reference. Given the level of support that we receive as miners from Eleuthria, it's only right that we support him too, so I urge other BTCG miners to voice their support for this positive and liberating change.

The 1-month number is pretty nice due to December 15th and onward.  3 of the largest spikes in block solves (including BTC Guild getting 11 blocks in a row) all happened within the last month.  The 1-month number will probably start to drop pretty fast around mid-January unless we see a few really good days.

This certainly specific to BTC Guild, but I'm just curious as to what folk are doing with their NMC mined by the pool? Specifically storage. AT the moment, mine are just building up on BTC Guild.

Cheers.

The majority of users just send them direct to an exchange like BTC-e.  Very few people bother running NMC wallets of their own.
